Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 13
Derek and Penelope were soon pulling up into the parking lot of the supermarket and it was packed, as they got out Derek intertwined fingers with her and smiled as they made their way toward the double doors. When they stepped inside Derek grabbed a buggy and said, "alright now sweetness let's get this stuff before we get run over by a crazy woman" and both of them laughed as they started making their way through the store.
Penelope had to make sure that she had a way to be able to get the items for her surprise and get them paid for without Derek seeing anything, she thought for a few minutes and then came up with an idea for both problem. She was in the middle of getting the stuff for her death by chocolate dessert when she looked at Derek and said, "shoot" and Derek looked at her and said, "what's wrong sweetness, is something wrong"?, she said, :I forgot to get the pecans for the topping, will you be a sweetie and go bet me a small package"?, he winked and said, "on it" as he walked away,
She quickly grabbed what she needed for her surprise and hid her items under some stuff so that Derek wouldn't be the wiser, when he walked back to her he handed her the pecans and said, "here you go baby girl", She kissed his cheek and said, "thank you so much handsome, I really appreciate your help", he said, "no problem goddess, no problem at all" as they continued their way through the rest of the store.
When they were standing in line she looked over at Derek and said, "would you do me another favor angel fish"?, he said, "sure, did you forget something else"?, she said, "no, not this time my love". He looked down at her and said, "what can your hotstuff do for you then angel"/, she said, "since it's so cold and that wind is blowing so hard would you be a sweetheart and bring the SUV around for me so I don't have to walk so far in the cold".
Derek kissed her lips gently and said, "your chariot will be waiting on you all warmed up and right outside the door", she said, "you are a life saver, thank you sugar, momma reallyi appreciates it". Derek said, "I have to keep my girl happy now don't I"?, she winked at him and said, "thank you again my vision", he was all smiles as he turned around and headed for the door.
When she was sure he was out of sight she put her items up on the conveyor belt and smiled as the cashier said, "ohhh it looks like somebody is making death by chocolate for Thanksgiving". Penelope said, "guilty as charged", the young woman said, "I'm making it too, ya know I think chocolate should be it's own food group". Penelope laughed and said, "me too, me too".
As the cashier put the bags into the buggy she said, "I saw you here with Derek"? she said, "yeah, do you know hotstuff"?, she said, "yeah we were friends in school, he was a real sweetheart". Penelope said, "he hasn't changed any in that department" and the woman said, "he's totally in love with you ya know"?, Penelope said, "well the feeling is mutual" and as Penelope was getting ready to walk away the cashier said, "I hope that you have a happy Thanksgiving".
Penelope said, "you too and enjoy that death by chocolate dessert", the girl laughed and said, "ohhh I intend to, I intend to" she then turned to her next customer and Penelope headed outside where true to his word Derek had the SUV sitting right outside the door and it was warm.
He got out and said, "get inside where it's warm, don't worry about this stuff I'll load it up for you", she kissed his cheek and said, "thank you my love", he said, "get in that car before you get a spanking". She said, "ohhhh a spanking might be nice", he said, "womannnnn the things you do to me" as he playfully swatted her butt and watched as she got into the SUV and shut the door.
When they got back to Frans Derek carried the stuff inside and when it was time for her to put up her surprise Fran sent Derek into the living room to grab something for her so that Penelope could indeed get her surprise items hidden. Penelope thanked Fran for the assist which thrilled Fran who said, "ohhh it will totally be worth it when we see the look on his face", Derek walked into the kitchen and said, "see the look on who's face momma"?, Fran said, "yours when you see that huge turkey sitting on the table all brown, stuffed and ready to eat".
The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent with everybody sitting around playing games and watching movies, Derek and Penelope were snuggled up on the couch while the others were spread out on the other couch and chairs. Dinner was amazing, Fran fixed some homemade veggie soup and they had soup and hot dogs and everybody enjoyed the surprise, especially Derek.
At the end of the night as everybody turned in for the night Derek and Penelope cuddled under the covers and soon fell asleep, they were exhausted from their lack of sleep the previous nights. The nights they were busy making love and making up for lost time but now that they were together Derek knew that he had the rest of his life to be with the woman he loved.
