Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 19
As the morning started Penelope, Fran and the girls got up and started cooking early, they knew that they were going to have a house full of friends and family soon and they wanted to have everything on and cooking. Von walked into the kitchen and said, "okay, so what do you need me to do"?, Fran said, "can you check on the turkey and ham for me please"?, Von nodded her head and said, "on it" as she headed toward the huge stove.
Penelope was working on the green bean casserole and as she got it finished she looked up to see Derek walking into the kitchen, he said, "everything is set up and ready ma, we just did another check" as he pointed to T-bone who was standing beside him. T-bone walked over and hugged Penelope and said, "happy Thanksgiving Penelope", she giggled and said, "same to you T, same to you" as she raised a lid on one of the pots and smiled as she said, "almost ready".
Derek leaned in and said, "everything smells amazing, especially you" as he kissed the side of her neck, Fran turned around and said, "oh no you don't go on, get out of here and let us get finished with the food". Derek said, "but maaaaaa" and Fran said, "Derek Michael Morgan, you are going to be spending the rest of your life with Penelope, you did propose to her after all but right now she's busy and you are distracting her".
Derek stuck out his bottom lip and said, "sorry momma",, Penelope winked at him and said, "we'll play later", he kissed her lips gently again and said, "I'm going to hold you to that", he then looked at T-bone and then the two of them turned around and headed back into the living room to rejoin Charlotte and the girls as they waited for more guests to arrive.
Sarah looked at her mom and said, "sooooooo how was your dinner last night with Daveeeeee'?, Fran said, "it was amazing, he's so sweet and handsome, we had a wonderful time" causing the girls to all smile. Derek and T were talking about expanding a room in his house when somebody knocked on the door and Derek got up and walked over and opened the door, he smiled and said, "come in Dave, come in".
Dave stepped through the door and said, "happy turkey day gentlemen" and both men laughed and said in unison "same to you, same to you" causing Dave to smile as he walked over and sat down on one of the couches. Derek looked up at Charlotte and said, "Charlotte this is another member of my team. this is David Rossi" and Charlotte said, "wait, as in the writer David Rossi"?, Dave looked at her and said, "guilty as charged".
Charlotte and Dave then spent the next little bit talking about the plot of his latest book and how once she started reading it she just couldn't put it down, she read it through in one evening. Dave said, "well it's always nice to meet a fan" causing Charlotte to say, "you are such an amazing writer" and Dave said, "my next book should be out sometime early next year, if you'd like I can send you a copy"? Charlotte said, "yes pleaseeeeee" and T grinned at Derek and said, "and she'll probably read that one in one night too".
Over the next few minutes more and more guests arrived and Derek walked into the kitchen and said, "ma we still have 6 seats, everybody that is usually here is here already so who are the other chairs for"?, Fran grinned and said, "well our last 6 guests should be here any time now" and no sooner had those words left her lips than somebody knocked on the door.
Fran motioned for Penelope to follow Derek to the door, she said, "but" and Fran said, "it's a surprise" and Penelope grinned as she followed Derek from the room to see who was at the door. Derek opened the door and smiled as he saw Hotch, Emily, Jack, JJ, Reid and Henry standing there with huge smiles on their faces.
Derek smiled as everybody in unison said, "HAPPY THANKSGIVING", Derek said, "and happy Thanksgiving to you all too" as he stepped back to let the rest of his family come inside. Jack and Henry made a high dive for their aunt P who was more than happy to see her nephews and their parents on today of all days.
