Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 21
The day was going amazingly well with everybody laughing, eating and talking as the afternoon continued. Jack and Henry were playing games with T-bone and Charlotte's twin daughters and having a blast. Fran and Dave were sitting in the living room laughing and talking as was the rest of the team minus Derek and Penelope who were sitting with Von, Charlotte and T-bone.
Derek couldn't resist touching her so he reached over and intertwined their fingers and brought her hand to his lips and kissed it, she glanced over at him and smiled and then turned her attention back to the conversation she was having with Von and Charlotte. Derek and T were still talking about adding on to T and Charlottes bedroom so they were talking about what materials they would need for spring time.
Penelope and Charlotte were talking to Von about Christmas themed things and then when JJ and Emily walked over and joined them the topic turned to Christmas gifts for the kids. Emily and JJ had been thinking about what to get their boys while Charlotte was at a loss of what to get her twins.
Penelope gave all three mothers some good ideas for educational computer games, which was of course a hit because all four children were highly intelligent and loved playing on the computer so those games would come in handy. Von smiled as she looked at Penelope, their was something different about her but she couldn't put her finger on it, Charlotte looked at Von and asked her a question about the Thanksgiving dressing which pulled Von back to reality.
Derek nodded his head yes and then looked over his shoulder as Reid and Hotch walked over and sat down beside them, Hotch looked at T as T asked what he had thought of Chicago during this time of year. Hotch threw his head back and laughed and told him that he was having a wonderful time and that Emily and Jack loved being there to which Reid nodded his head in agreement and said, "we love it here, everything is so beautiful".
T-bone looked around and said, "if you think it's beautiful here now, you should be here around Christmas time, everything is lite up and they have Christmas trees all over town and the holiday music is playing all the time, it's quite amazing". Derek said, "growing up here in Chicago was amazing, we had some good times", T nodded his head and said, "that we did brother, that we did" as the top then turned to gifts the fathers could get their sons.
Penelope looked up and smiled as she saw Dave leaning in to whisper something into Frans ear, she grinned and then threw her head back and right out laughed, Dave smiled and then put his hand on top of hers as he leaned in and gently pressed his lips against hers in a kiss.
Derek looked up and saw the kiss taking place and smiled, it was obvious that his mother was happy and he had meant what he had told Dave and that was as long as his mother was happy that was all that mattered to him. The celebrating continued with everybody heading back to the table to devour more of the delicious food.
