Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 22
By the time the sun started going down everybody was still laughing and talking, today had been a complete success with everybody having an amazing time with each other like one big happy family. Soon it was just the BAU family the Morgan family and T-bone and his family left and the kids were all off still playing while the adults started talking to the newly engaged couple about wedding plans.
Derek looked at his bride-to-be and said, "I want whatever baby girl wants, if she wants a spring wedding then that's what I want" and then he gently squeezed her hand as she said, "what if I want a small wedding and the sooner the better"?, Derek looked at her and said, "that sounds great to me baby girl but when do you want to get married, any ideas"?, Penelope looked around the room and said, "what about a Christmas wedding"?, Derek said, "that's less than a month sweetness".
Fran said, "if that's what my future daughter-in-law wants then that's what she's going to get" as the women and men then split up into two separate groups and started talking about details. The women were talking about the dresses, flowers and food while the men were talking about the location, the tuxedos and the honeymoon.
The groups were talking and making plans until late into the night and by the time they left they had to carry their children out and put them into their cars, both groups agreed to start planning again around noon the next day. Fran walked Dave to the door and smiled as he leaned in and gave her another kiss, he wrapped his arms around her and told her that he would see her tomorrow.
Fran smiled and waved as everybody pulled out of her driveway and made their way up the street toward the main road, she then turned around and saw the smiling faces of her children and future daughter-in-law. She then hugged everybody and said, "since the clean up is done this tired momma is going to turn in" she then made her way toward the hallway but turned around and looked at her family again and said, "Happy Thanksgiving, I love you all so much".
As she started to walk into her room she heard everybody say, "HAPPY THANKSGIVING WE LOVE YOU TOO", she smiled and disappeared into her room and shut the door behind herself. The girls looked at Derek and Penelope and said, "something tells me that you and Penelope aren't going to be the only people getting married" and Penelope nodded her head and said, "I was thinking the same thing girlies" and all three women started laughing.
The girls said their goodnights and hugged their brother and future sister-in-law and then everybody headed in different direcetions to turn in for the night, it had been a very long and tiring day and everybody was exhausted. Penelope had turned in first and by the time Derek had made it to bed she was sleeping peacefully so he toed off his shoes and stripped down to his boxers and climbed in bed behind her.
He snuggled close to her and kissed the side of her neck and whispered, "good night sweetness, I love you", he then laid his head back and sighed happily as he closed his eyes and soon joined his baby girl in sleep. The day had been long but very enjoyable and now that Thanksgiving was over they had Christmas and their wedding to plan, not to mention they had work because sadly unsubs don't care about weddings or Christmas.
