Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 24
A little time later the pizzas were all delivered and the entire clan gathered around the table and enjoyed their food, they laughed and talked while they ate, now they could relax a little since a lot of the planning was completed. Derek sat beside his beautiful bride-to-be and winked at her, she blushed and said, "can you believe that in less than a month you'll be mine"?, Derek leaned in and kissed her cheek and said, "and you, baby girl, will be mineeeeeeee".
Fran grinned and wondered how long it was going to be before she would have a grandbaby to spoil rotten, she loved her son and it was oh so obvious that he was beyond happy and head over heels in love with his baby girl. She was pulled from her thoughts when Dave leaned in and whispered, "would you like to go out again with me tomorrow night"?, Fran grinned and said, "I would be honored Dave" causing a beautiful smile to cross both of their lips.
Derek sighed happily some time later as everybody minus the children were all sitting in the living room talking about how things were when they were little and of course Derek was now red faced as Desi was telling about the time that he almost burned the house down and he said, "heyyyyyy I was only 4 years old, give me a breakkkkkk".
Fran said, girls leave your brother alone", Derek looked at his sisters and stuck out his tongue and said, "yeahhhh, leave me alone, you heard momma", Sarah and Desi rolled their eyes, causing everybody to laugh, Penelope said, "I bet he was a handful, handsome but a handful", Derek looked at her and said, "who's side are you on baby girl"?, she kissed his lips gently and said, "yours handsome, yours" causing him to grin.
Charlotte looked at Penelope and said, "that one there is going to keep you on your toes and when you have kids, well let's just say that they will probably take after him because my girls, even though they look like me act just like their father". T said, "and what's wrong with the way I act woman"?, she said, "now nothing but back then when the two of you got together it was like Katie bar the door because you two were always in to something".
Reid said, "wellllllll it doesn't look like things have changed that much because he's still a handful", Derek said, "hey pretty boyyyyy why are you picking on me"?, Reid said, "I'm not picking on you Morgan, I'm just telling the truth, we all love you but sometimes you are head strong and you are soooooo stubborn".
Derek said, "I am not stubborn", everybody looked at him and he said, "what"?, they all sat silently and he said, "does this mean that you all think that I am stubborn then"?, everybody in unison said, "YESSSSSSSS", Derek shook his head and said, "alright so I might be stubborn but you know that I am seldom wrong" and Reid said, "well that's true but you are still one of the most stubborn people I have ever met".
Reid then looked at Penelope and said, "which means that any children that you have are going to be just as stubborn as you", Derek said, "as long as they are beautiful like their momma I don't care who they take after". Penelope blushed and buried her face in his chest as everybody said, "AWWWWWWWWWW", Fran said, "I don't care how stubborn my grandbabies are I am going to spoil each and every one of them rotten".
Derek said, "each and every one, uhhhhh momma how many kids do you think that we're going to have"?. she said, "ohhhh at least 3 or 4" and Derek said, "uhhhh momma we're not even married yet". Dave said, "welllllllllll in your mothers defense you don't have to be married to have kids ya know" and Derek said, "well that's true", he then looked at Penelope and said, "whenever God sees fit to give us kids we will love them all", he looked at Penelope and said, "right baby girl"?, she grinned and said, "right hotstuff".
A couple of hours later everybody was getting ready to head out either back to their hotel or back home for T, Charlotte and the twins but everybody was going to be getting together Saturday night, well everybody but Dave and Fran who had a date of their own to attend/
Since everybody was heading home Sunday evening they figured that they would all just lay around and rest on Sunday morning and early afternoon so that they could be packed, ready and at the airport on time. Penelope stood wrapped in Derek's arms as they waved at their friends as they pulled out of the driveway and headed down the street.
Since Von had stayed the night before she decided to head home and since Dave was headed that way he offered to drop her off and she happily accepted the offer. It wasn't long after everybody left that the Morgan family and Penelope decided to turn in for the night, it had been another long hard day and they were exhausted but they still found the time and energy for a round of passionate love making before they fell asleep wrapped in each others loving arms.
