Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 26
Derek and Penelope were the last two that slid into their seats at the restaurant, they were greeted with warm smiles and hugs from their family and friends which made them all feel at home. They all spent the first few minutes laughing, so while Derek was catching up with the men Penelope was catching up with JJ, Emily and Charlotte.
The kids were of course laughing and talking with each other but as soon as the waitress came over to take their orders all of the talking stopped but just as soon as she was gone laughter once again filled the air. Charlotte looked at Penelope and said, "sooo are you starting to get nervous yet"?, Penelope bit down on her bottom lip and said, "ohhhh yes", Charlotte put her hand on her new friends shoulder and said, "don't worry, we've all been through this and we'll be here to help you every step of the way" causing Penelope to smile and whisper, "thank you".
Sarah couldn't help but smile as she watched her brother and future sister-in-law from her seat, it was obvious that he had finally found the other piece of his heart, that he had found is soul mate and she couldn't have been happier for them. Soon their food was delivered and the group spent the next couple of hours just enjoying each others company while they all talked about what an amazing time they had together over the past week.
As the time slipped away from the growing family Penelope looked around the room at all of her friends and family and couldn't help but smile and be thankful for the life she had and she would never ever take it for granted. Soon it was time for everybody to hug and say their goodbyes and Penelope thanked T and Charlotte again for everything and Charlotte grinned and told her that she couldn't wait for Penelope to come back for her fitting.
Derek and T high fived and hugged and Derek promised that they would talk more about the addition to his house on his next visit which prompted another high five from T before they parted. Penelope then hugged JJ, Emily and the boys and told them that they would see them at home and to have a safe flight back home and as they stood watching and waving as their BAU family pulled away and headed back to their hotel Penelope felt a little sad.
Derek kissed her temple and said, "you ready to head back to mommas"?, she kissed his lips gently and nodded her head yes so they intertwined fingers and they followed his sisters as they headed back to their car. When they got home it was getting late and Derek grinned and said, "looks like momma and Dave are still out on their date" and Desi said, "I can't help but wonder if momma is gonna come home tonight".
Sarah said, "momma is a big girl and she knows what she wants so if she doesn't come home it's because she doesn't want to leave Dave and who can blame her, he's a fine specimen of" and Derek said, "TMI TMI TMI, I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT WHAT A FINE SPECIMEN DAVID ROSSI IS" and the women all laughed as they watched Derek.
Penelope said, "they do make a cute couple though and it's soooo obvious that the sparks were flying from the first time we saw them together", Sarah and Desi nodded their heads yes in agreement with Penelope. Derek said, "I'm happy for ma and Dave, everybody deserves to be happy, especially ma, she deserves only the best of the best and if she thinks that's Dave then I'm happy for her and I know that pops would be too".
Sarah and Desi smiled as they looked at their brother and then Desi said, "and daddy would be happy for and proud of you too big brother, he only wanted the best for you and if he were here right now he would see that Penelope is just that, the best for you". Derek pulled his little sister into his arms and said, "I love you Desi".
Desi grinned and said, "and I love you too big brother", Derek then turned to face Sarah and said, "I love you too big sis", Sarah laughed as she threw her arms around him and said, "and I love you too baby brother". As they separated Sarah said, "now since this is your last night here in Chicago for a few days we're going to head up to bed and give you two some alone time".
Penelope said, "you don't have to do that", the girls smiled and in unison said, "we know", after giving Derek and Penelope both another hug they disappeared upstairs and headed toward their room. Derek then turned to face Penelope and said, "soooo what do you want to do baby girl"?, she wiggled her eyebrows and said, "wellllllll" and he said, "say no more" and picked her up and ran toward the stairs that led to their room.
The couple then spent the night making mad passionate love as they enjoyed their last night together on their first Thanksgiving holiday together as a couple.
