Thanksgiving With The Morgan's Ch 29
As Penelope and the others walked into the shop they were all smiles as they looked around, everything was so beautiful and when a young girl came over she hugged Sarah and Desi and then they introduced Penelope to her. She said, "ohhhh, you're gorgeous, now I can see that he didn't exaggerate at all when he described you all of those times" causing Penelope to blush and grin at the same time,
Desiree said, "this is our friend Tammy, her parents own this shop she works here to help out", Penelope said, "it's nice to meet you Tammy" and Tammy said, "same here" as she looked from Penelope to the other members of the group. Desiree said, "we are missing two of the bridesmaids, they are away on a case right now but will be in to be fitted as soon as their job permits it" and Tammy nodded her head and said, "I completely understand and it's no problem at all".
Tammy said, "alright how about I had you ladies your dresses and I'll help the bride-to-be put hers on"?, everybody grinned and nodded their heads yes as they took their dresses and went into the dressing room to put them on. Tammy helped Penelope and after the dress was zipped Tammy said, "wowwwww, you sure picked out the perfect dress for you Penelope it looks absolutely amazing on you".
Penelope turned around and said, "I never dreamed that it would fit so good, it's almost perfect", Tammy said, "do you think it needs to be taken in or maybe raise the hem a little"?, Penelope shook her head and said, "I think it's perfect". Tammy said, "well then let's get out to the others and show them how great this dress looks on you" and Penelope nodded her head as she held up the sides of her dress as to not trip as she walked out to show the others.
When Fran saw that beautiful dress she covered her mouth and said, "ohhhh honey you look amazing in that dress", Penelope turned around in front of the mirror and said, "do you really think so"?, Fran said, "oh yes, you look so lovely, you look like a princess" and everybody nodded their heads yes in agreement.
Charlotte said, "Derek isn't going to be able to keep his eyes or anything else off of you Penelope" causing everybody to laugh as they all knew that what she was saying was totally and completely true. Tammy said, "so does anybody's dress need anything done to them"?, Sarah said, "mine feels good", Desi said, "mine too" and Charlotte said, "mine feels great, it feels like silk, I just love the way this dress feels".
Penelope said, "I know what you mean Charlotte" as she ran her hands over her wedding dress and Fran said, "well it looks like so far everybody that was here today is fine with their dresses, now when JJ and Emily can get here and get fitted then we won't have to worry anymore" and Penelope said, "they wanted to be here but they've been away on a case to Texas all week but hopefully soon they'll be able to make it".
As they were standing there in their dresses Sarah said, "Penelope do you have shoes already"?, Penelope covered her mouth and said, "shoot. I knew things were going to good, no, no I don't have any shoes". Fran said, "don't stress yourself out honey, their is a shoe store right up the street so it's no problem at all" and Penelope sighed happily and then turned with the other girls to go change back into their clothes so they could all go shoe shopping.
A few minutes later everybody was walking up the street and Penelope said, "thank you for asking about the shoes Sarah", Sarah said, "I'm just glad that we're close to this shoe store and hopefully we can find you a pair of shoes in here". When they walked into the store Penelope said, "wowwwwwww, look at all of these shoes" and Fran said, "do you have any idea the style that you want"? and Penelope said, "I have an idea" as they all headed to the other side of the store.
A couple of hours later all of the women grinned as they slid into a booth at the corner deli, they were starving after an afternoon of trying on their dresses and then shoe shopping on top of that. They all placed their orders and were sitting and talking when Penelope's cell started ringing, she said, "sorry but I have to take this" and she slid out of the booth and walked to the back of the deli for privacy.
She smiled when she heard her future husbands voice on the other end of the phone, he said, "we found him baby girl and it's all thanks to you and all of your hard work so thank you, thank you, thank you". She laughed and said, "so does that mean you'll be starting on your way soon"?, he said, "yeah soon but right now we've got some paperwork to finish before we can head to the landing strip to board the jet".
Penelope said, "just be safe and tell my team of crime fighters that I'm glad you all found the baddie and are going to be coming home to us all very soon" and Derek said, "Dave is going to have his plane meet us here so that we won't have to flyi back on the BAU jet so we should be there sometime late tonight".
She grinned and said, "that's great, I'll try to wait up" and then she yawned and he said, "no, don't wait up on me sweetness, you're exhausted so just go to sleep in my room and when I get there I'll come crawl in bed behind you and snuggle right up to ya". She said, "alright my love, now get back to that paperwork and get to me safely", he laughed and said, "will do goddess, will do" as the call ended.
After enjoying a delicious meal with her friends, she filled them in on the fact that the team would be in sometime late tonight so that meant that JJ and Emily could try on their dresses tomorrow. Fran smiled and said, "it will be good to see everybody again" and Sarah and Desi in unison said, "especially Dave, right momma" and Fran laughed and said, "don't start girls, don't start" and then everybody started laughing.
A few hours later a very exhausted Penelope Garcia, soon to be Morgan made her way to Derek's room where she changed into something to sleep in and then crawled under the covers. It didn't take long and soon she was sound asleep and true to his word Derek made it in around 3 in the morning and he toed off his shoes and stripped down to his boxers and slid in bed behind his fiancee and cuddled her close.
Before closing his eyes he kissed the side of her neck and whispered, "sleep tight baby girl, I love you" and then it was only a matter of a few minutes before the sound of soft snoring was coming from them both as they enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep after a long and exhausting week.
