Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 34
The next morning Penelope woke up early, she leaned down and gently kissed Derek on the cheek and whispered, "I love you", she then walked toward the door but stopped when she heard Derek say, "i love you too and I'll see you at the church". She turned around and said, "I'll be the one in the white dress" causing him to laugh as he watched her shake her butt at him before walking out of the room.
When she got downstairs she saw JJ and Emily waiting on her, they were holding her dress and shoes, she smiled and said, "good morning girlies" as she walked over to them and hugged them. They said, "good morning" in unison causing her to grin, Fran walked into the room and said, "here take these" as she handed them a bag of fresh chocolate muffins and a thermos of coffee to go along with them.
Penelope said, "thanks Fran", Fran winked at the girls and said, "we can't get you married on an empty stomach and trust me you are gonna need the energy because today is going to be wild". JJ said, "for sure Fran, for sure" as Fran then watched the three women turn around and walk toward the door and as Penelope put her hand on the doorknob Fran said, "me, Desi and Sarah will be there in a few minutes, we want to get dressed first that way we'll be able to help out more".
Penelope grinned and said, "see you soon then" and Fran said, "that you will honey, that you will" and then the girls opened the door and stepped out into the cold December air and made their way to the waiting and thankfully warm SUV. The ride to the church didn't take long and soon the three women were walking into the church, they grinned as they saw Charlotte standing there waiting on them, she said, "you ready for this girlie"?, Penelope said, "ohhhh I was born ready Charlotte".
The four women made their way to the room where they would be helping Penelope get dressed, Charlotte who was already dressed and ready said, "why don't you two go ahead and get dressed and I'll help Penelope with her makeup"?, JJ and Emily said, "thank you" and walked over to the other side of the room to get dressed and while they were doing that Charlotte started working on getting the bride's makeup put on her.
Meanwhile at Fran's house Derek was pacing back and forth across the living room, he was dressed and ready and Fran said, "son if you don't stop pacing like that you're going to have to redo my floor". Derek stopped pacing and said, "oh, sorry momma, I'm just nervous I guess", Fran walked over and hugged her son and said, "well of course you're nervous honey, today is your wedding day, today is the day that you marry the woman you are going to spend the rest of your life with".
Derek couldn't help but smile and said, "just think, soon you'll be getting married" and Fran said, "let's get you and Penelope married first okay"?, Derek laughed and said, "okay momma". Fran looked over her shoulder and said, "you girls ready, we really need to get to the church", Sarah and Desiree walked into the room and Sarah said, "yeah momma we're ready" as they made their way to the door.
When they opened the door there stood Dave, Reid and Hotch smiling, Dave leaned down and kissed Fran on the lips and said, "don't you look beautiful"?, she said, "why thank you kind sir, we're on our way to the church to help the bride". The men stepped aside and Dave said, "well we will see you at the church then" and Fran said, "see ya soon" as the three women then walked out of the house and down the steps that led to their car.
As the car pulled away Derek said, "why am I so nervous"?, Reid, Hotch and Dave looked at each other and then at the once again pacing Derek Morgan and laughed, Derek said, "it's not funny" and Reid said, "yes it is" as once again the men all started laughing at the soon to be groom.
Dave said, "come on son let's get you to the church before kitten changes her mind", as he walked across the room and grabbed his coat he said, "you don't think she'll change her mind do you"?, Dave said, "no son I don't, now come on let's get you to that church and get you married", Derek nodded his head ands said, "alright let's do this" as they all walked out of the house and headed toward the SUV.
Meanwhile with Penelope she sat there looking up at JJ, Emily and Charlotte after JJ said, "there Garcie, you're finished", Penelope then stood up and turned around to look at herself in the mirror. She said, "I look" and Fran and the girls walked into the room at the same time and Fran said, "beautiful you look beautiful Penelope" causing the bride-to-be to smile happily.
It couldn't have been more than 5 minutes before they were pulled from their conversation by a knock on the door, Sarah walked over and smiled as she stepped aside to let Dave into the room. As he walked into the room he said, "ohhhh kitten you look beautiful", she said, "thank you papaw bear" causing him to grin at her.
Fran said, "well honey it's almost time so we'll see you out front", Penelope nodded her head and said, "thank you guys for everything you've done for me and Derek, especially me". Fran said, "we love you honey and you are a welcomed addition to our family", Sarah and Desi nodded their heads yes in agreement with what their mom had just said,
JJ, Emily and Charlotte smiled and JJ said, "we'll be waiting at the doors to the inner sanctum", Penelope blew out a deep breath and said, "we'll be right there" causing them to grin as they turned around and headed out of the room. Dave held out his arm and said, "are you ready to get married to the very nervous man standing in the front of the church"?, she laughed and said, "that I am Dave, that I am" as she looped her arm through his and they started toward the door.
Dave said, "last chance to change your mind", she said, "not on your life papa bear, not on your life", he laughed and then opened the door and they stepped out into the hall arm-in-arm.
