Thanksgiving With The Morgan's-Ch 36
Frans place was filled with Derek and Penelope making out in the back of the limo, it was a good thing that the windows were dark or the people on the streets would be getting quite a show right now. As they pulled up in front of the house and stopped Derek and Penelope reluctantly pulled apart but Derek said, "to be continued later baby girl", she winked at him and said, "oh you can count on that handsome".
Derek laughed and then opened the door and slid out, he then held out his hand and watched as she slid her smaller hand into his and got out of the back seat of the limo and then intertwined fingers with him as they made their way toward the heated reception tent that was set up in the backyard.
When the newlyweds stepped into the tent the air was once again filled with the sounds of hands clapping and shouting of congratulations for the newlywed couple as they made their way to the center of the dance floor. The DJ said, "let's give it up for the bride and groom Mr. and Mrs. Derek Morgan" and Derek smiled down at his wife as everybody clapped for them as he wrapped his arms around her lovingly.
Once the music started she grinned at him as I Swear by John Michael Montgomery filled the air, she said, "how did you know that this is one of my favorite songs like ever"?, he said, "helloooo best friend here of course I know what your favorite songs are sweetness, I do pay attention after all" causing her to laugh as she leans in and presses her lips against his.
Picture after picture of the happy couple is snapped as they share their first dance as husband and wife, after about 30 seconds or so the dance floor started filling up with couples who wanted to share in the dance with the couple and help them as they celebrated their day.
Fran, who was now dancing with Dave glanced over at her smiling son and said, "he's so happy, I don't believe I've ever seen him this happy Dave, not ever" and Dave said, "that's because he's finally found the one that completes him Bella, you know, the way that you complete me", Fran sighed happily as Dave then leaned in and pressed his lips against hers in a passionate kiss.
A few minutes later after the song ended Derek and Penelope joined the rest of their wedding party at their table and smiled as they looked out at all of their amazing guests that had come to celebrate with them on their special day. The food was set up buffet style so everybody could dig in and get whatever they wanted to and while their guests were getting their food the wedding party was sitting and laughing and talking for a few minutes so the line would die down some.
When they were up getting their food Derek and Penelope were talking about what an amazing Christmas Eve wedding it was and how beautiful everything was in the church and at the reception. Everybody had worked hard to help them not only get ready for the wedding and reception but help them get everything they would need to do both and Derek and Penelope were so so grateful that they had such amazing friends and family.
As the reception continued Derek and Penelope laughed, talked and ate with their friends, they still couldn't believe what everybody had gone through just to help them and they would forever be grateful for all of their help. As the celebrating continued it was now time for the bride and groom to cut their cake and they walked hand-in-hand over to the table and stood in front of the huge and beautiful cake that Fran had somehow had the time to make.
Derek said, "ma, it's beautiful but how did you find the time to do this with everything you've done for us"?, Fran smiled and hugged her son and daughter-in-law and said, "I managed to do it last night and the night before after everybody had gone to bed and I am so glad that you two like it", Penelope said, "like it, Fran we love it, it's beautiful" as they stood there for a few minutes just looking at the cake.
Derek then picked up the knife and Penelope put her hand on top of his and together they put it in the layer of cake and everybody watched as they slid the knife down through the take and took out a piece and put it into a saucer. They then both picked up bites and fed them every so sweetly and then leaned in and kissed causing the air to be filled with everybody saying, "awwwwww" and then the couple shared another kiss before stepping away from the table with their piece of cake so that everybody else could come and get their cake.
After they enjoyed their cake it came time for the mother/son father/daughter dance so Fran and Derek took to the dance floor as well as Dave and Penelope to share a dance together. Sarah and Desiree were snapping picture after picture so that they could fix an album for the newlyweds so that they would have the pictures to keep as a reminder of the happiest day of their lives. .
During the rest of the evening Derek danced with his sisters, JJ, Emily, Von and Charlotte while Penelope danced with Hotch, Reid, T-bone, Henry and Jack before they made their way back to each other for one final dance. When it was time for the bride and groom to make their way to the hotel for the night Derek and Penelope hugged and thanked everybody that had helped them and been a big part of their lives before making their way to the limo.
The wedding party and the other guests followed the newlyweds as they raced toward the limo and they were throwing birdseed at them and shouting their congratulations as the happy couple climbed into the back of the limo. They stood watching and waving until the limo disappeared out of sight and then they went back to celebrate a little more and help with the clean up before they too returned to their hotels and homes for the night.
