The two thieves walk out of the apartment building towards Bando's mansion.

"I've been wondering," Lupin says, looking at Akira. "Do your teammates have Personas too?"

"Yes they do. One of them even has the persona of Goemon."

"His ancestor as well? It's almost like we were destined to meet or something."

"I'm glad we did though."

"Alright, we're here." Lupin looks up at the mansion. Akira hands him the card.

"Watch and learn." Lupin jumps over the fence and climbs up the building with ease. He masterly dodges all security cameras while doing so. When he reaches the window, Lupin pulls out a tool from his pocket and unlocks the window. Akira watches in amazement. Lupin sees a small table and puts the card on it. He closes the window and ducks out of sight. Before he leaves, he puts a device on the window. He comes back with ease.

"That was amazing." Akira says.

"It's no sweat. I done this for years, I'm practically a master." Lupin hands Akira a device. "Listen." Akira hears footsteps from the device, then a sigh of relief.

"Thank god I got rid of him." That was Bando's voice. Bando walks some more before making a loud "Hmm?" A sound of paper is picked up. It's quiet for a moment before there's a sudden loud "WHAT?!" Lupin laughs as the voice grumbles in anger. "First Lupin, now the phantom thieves. I must be cursed! I'm definitely glad I'm leaving tomorrow." The man stomps away and slams the door.

"Why'd you record that?" Akira says.

"I just thought I'd be funny." Lupin replied. They walk toward the hideout. Once there, Akira is reminded of the fact that he won't be home tonight. He texts Sojiro about his mission but doesn't bring up Lupin. He instead tells him he's staying with Ryuji. Sojiro bought it, asking Akira to return in the morning.

"Who're texting?" Lupin asks.

"My guardian." Akira says "I needed to tell him I won't be home tonight."

"Oh right. That makes sense, what with you being a kid and all." Akira could see Lupin was thinking of something. He probably caught on to the fact that he said guardian instead of parents.

"He's not my father, if that's what you're wondering. However, I do see him as one though."

"Ah, I see." Lupin says "That explains it." The older thief thinks again.

"Speaking of fathers, I'm curious. What was yours like?" Akira asks. He wanted to know more about Lupin. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so.

"I'll tell only if you tell me about you." Lupin responses. "I'm curious about you myself."

"You go first." Akira sits down on the couch.

"My father was a thief, like my grandfather. He was a great thief, continuing my grandfather's legacy. He wasn't around a lot, what with him being a thief, and he died before I got to know him. But I still respect him and my grandfather very much. My grandfather's a similar story, I never really met him, or at least I was too young to remember, but I still carry his legacy with pride."

"What about your mother?"

"My mother was very kind to me. She knew of my father's job but loved him enough to have me. She raised me all by herself, and she was strict, but that was because I was a troublemaker. I haven't seen her since I left to become a thief, I sometimes wonder what she's doing." Lupin goes quiet for a moment, then he shakes his head. "Anyways, it's your turn."

"I grew up in country, I lived a fairly normal life. Then one day, I see a man attempting to assault a woman. I pushed him. When the police came, he told them I had assaulted him, and woman was threated to back up his story. I was given probation for a year, and wound up working with my new guardian to serve that time. My parents haven't spoken to me since. They think I'm some kind of criminal. I was brought here cause they want nothing to do with me." Lupin's face grew solemn, even apologetic

"Damn kid, that's-that's unfortunate."

"Yeah, but coming here was how I discovered my powers and became a phantom thief. I also got to make a lot of new friends here. So I guess it wasn't all bad. Akira believes this, however, he still feels sad talking about it. Because he remembered how trapped he felt when it happened. Lupin suddenly huffed in anger.

"Damn, it pisses me off that someone did that to you. What a no good jackass!"

Akira feels a little happy Lupin got mad on his behalf. "It's alright, I'll get him eventually."

"You better. We need less assholes in this world and more people like you. But then again, if everyone was nice I'd have no one to steal from!"

Akira chuckled at that. He and Lupin talked some more before Jigen and Goemon came back. Lupin left with his co workers to make final check ups on their equipment, leaving Akira to walk around town on his own. Many hours pass, and it was finally time to steal the treasure.
