Class 1-A came prepared. Bakugo had told them all the quirks he knew Deku had, and they had plans to counter him and his power. They just needed to make Deku see reason, make him understand that he COULDN'T DO THIS ALONE. That he needed help, and that they were there to help him: EVERYONE WAS THERE. They were heroes! Weren't they? Why had the nerd tried to carry everything on his back like he always does?

Katsuki knew him, he knew what he was like, he knew this was going to happen. But this situation didn't stop hurting. Not after everything that had happened to accept the nerd in his life again and above all to be able to take courage to try to apologize for the years of separation and bad treatment, all doing things for the nerd like helping him train or trying to make sense of whatever All Might and One For All hide, everything for atoning his past actions. Yeah, sometimes Deku was terrifying with his savior complex and that made him not want to be around, but ... Maybe that was the mistake from the beginning: Leaving him alone.

And now he was afraid and extremely sorry for leaving him. Because Katsuki couldn't think of losing this asshole, it was as if part of him would die if Izuku Midoriya died.

And seeing Deku in a mess made the feeling worse: full of dirt, mud and blood; his eyes were sinister and no longer shone; his body was thinner now than she remembered it the last time she saw him; and he wasn't smiling.

And that irritated him.

"Guys? ... What are you doing here? ...

"We are worried about you." Round cheeks said seriously.

"... you don't need too... I'm fine... That's why... You should go back. Don't follow me..." Son of a bitch.

"HAHAHAHA! AH, IS WHAT IS EXPECTED OF HIS MAJESTY SUCCESSOR OF THE ONE FOR ALL!" Katsuki clapped sarcastically. "After all! Can you keep smiling?!"

"... So that everyone can smile again, to smile with everyone... I need to keep moving... So..." The asshole activated the One for All, energy beams coming out and covering his body quickly. "Everyone. Get out of my way!"

"TRY TO MOVE US YOURS, ALL MIGHT WANNABE"

"You aren't going to change your mentality but we came prepared for that!" Glasses said quickly, and slapped Bakugo on the back.

"Guys, be ready!" Round cheeks finally said.

While they least expected it, Deku made blackwhip appear on his fingers, trapping several of their classmates and throwing them away. Bakugo and Iida quickly dodged, while Ochako took a few steps to the sides avoiding the whips. Momo made a cannon appear but was knocked out by Deku with an airforce.

And when they least expected it, with the distraction of the blackwhip and the airforce, Deku floated up.

"OH NO, NERD! YOU AREN'T RUNNING AWAY, YOU DAMN COWARD!" Katsuki used his explosions and shot out, grabbing the nerd by the leg. Using his catapult final move, he shot him towards the ground of Kamino's plaza.

There, Sero tried to trap him between his tape and Todoroki tried to freeze him. But for some reason Deku, who looked extremely tired, didn't stop fighting. With a strange quirk that brought lights out of his body, he broke the ice and the tape. Was it Fa Jin? All Might had it in his notebook but he never saw it in action.

Sato and Kirishima were on top of him, as did Iida and others. But with the same movements from a while ago he managed to shake them off. He tried to run away again floating on other direction.

"DAMN NERD STOP RUNNING YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" Katsuki yelled.

Tokoyami was the one who went against Deku this time. Using his move angel of darkness or something like that, he managed to grab Deku and use Dark Shadow to bring him back to the ground.

Kaminari tried to give him a shock to make him stop moving but the nerd managed to get away from Tokoyami and Kaminari electrocuted the bird man by accident. Still, Dark Shadow didn't let go of Deku no matter how much Deku moved.

In a sudden movement, a lot of smoke began to come out of Deku's body, causing Dark Shadow to cough and Deku managed to loosen himself.

Katsuki now hoped that the bastard would shoot into the sky again so he could go against him again and bring him down himself this time, but instead Deku started attacking everyone from behind: First he went against Jiro and Shoji, who fell collapsed to the ground as if they couldn't move a lot. The smoke was dissipating but more smoke was coming out of Deku's body. The next to fall was Kaminari, then Sero and Koda and one by one were just falling on the ground, not defeated but... AGH! Katsuki turned around trying to see through the smoke but the longer he stayed there the more it entered his lungs and he felt like he was slowly beginning to drown.

Katsuki shot himself up into the air with his explosions, trying to see Deku's shadow but he couldn't see much because of the smoke.

And when he least expected it, Deku jumped right at him. They both fell to the ground, with Deku on top. Katsuki tried to immobilize him with hits, explosions, everything he had in his arsenal but the beast he had on him was too aggressive to recognize the boy he grew up with all his life. Damn!

He saw Ochako come from behind to his Deku but he seemed to detect her (probably with Danger Sense) before him and tried to knock her out, but Katsuki took advantage of this to grab him by his arm, just like Iida who came up behind him and took him from behind, and Todoroki who froze his feet on the ground. Ochako also grabbed his other arm. Between the struggles and so on, the rabbit mask and metal respirator fell to the ground.

And when they believed that everything was going to end, as Ochako was already prepared to give him the final blow to the back of the neck, Deku suddenly began to scream.

"WHY DON'T YOU GET AWAY?! THIS IS SOMETHING I HAVE TO DO ALONE! I AM THE ONE WHO SHOULD CARRY THIS! I CHOSE TO CARRY THIS! I DON'T WANT TO SEE MORE DEATHS! WHEN-WHEN I TRY TO GET CLOSE TO SOMEONE, ALL FOR ONE IS ALREADY MAKING THEM EXPLODE! LADY NAGANT EXPLODED IN MY FACE! WHEN I THOUGHT THAT I WOULD ALREADY HAVE SPACE TO FINISH SHIGARAKI, YOU APPEARED AND COVERED ME KACCHAN! I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD FOR THAT! I CAN'T STAND THINKING THAT YOU'D DIE! I CAN'T THINK ON EVERYONE DYING! IF YOU ALL DIED IT WOULD BE MY FAULT! BECAUSE I'M NEVER ENOUGH! BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH I DO IF I TAKE ONE STEP FORWARD, I AM REALLY THREE STEPS BACK! IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS! HAHAHAHAHAHA! HA! Ha! Ah! Ah... At least I could enjoy being a hero for a year, right? At least I could do something to fulfill myself, to fulfill my dream... To... Not feel despised... Hahaha... Ah, at least you never left my side, Kacchan... At least ... I was able to get you back Kacchan, and do friends like you, Iida-kun, Uraraka-chan, Todoroki-kun, everyone... Living everything in a lie while I pretended that my quirk was mine... Hahaha... Ah... What am I doing ? Why am I doing this?... I'm supposed to be a hero... I'm supposed to want to be a hero who helps others... who doesn't worry others, and who comes home to make his mom happy... who smiles and makes others feel at peace and that that brings peace to himself... Who beats villains to save others with a big smile on his lips... What the hell am I doing? I was supposed to be a hero who saves others... I just want to be a hero!

And in that moment, Deku broke down. His screams and tears of agony were loud and clear. Izuku was carrying so much on his back and you could tell he couldn't anymore.

Katsuki was the first to wrap his arms around him, then Ochako, Iida, and Todoroki. And so, one by one, the entire class 1-A, joined in a hug, enduring the pain of his friend.

And Izuku, as he cried in his arms, just... smiled slightly.
