Midoriya decided to look into upgrading his gear.
He designed a few new modifications for his arm, but was only able to fully build two of them.
Midoriya spent his spare time for the next few weeks upgrading himself. He was happy with how his new modifications turned out.
Midoriya also created a new support item for himself for healing an ally who is too far away from him, he asked Doc if he could use his old buntline revolver and alter it into a dart gun. Doc allowed Midoriya to take the buntline and eventually, the buntline is now his healing dart gun. It is able to shoot syringes with Midoriya's special sedative.
"This looks good" Midoriya says to himself as he finishes the dart gun.
"Hey Midoriya, I've been thinking and... I believe you've earned this" Doc said to Midoriya.
"Earned what?" Midoriya asked.
Doc holds out a box, inside contains a navy blue tank top, blue and white trench coat, a red utility belt, and black knee-pads with black and red iron tip boots.
"Your Battle Medic suit" Doc said.
"This looks more like something a hero would wear" Midoriya said.
"Maybe, but it's yours. You have come a long way since last year, Midoriya. Like I said, you earned this" said Doc.
Midoriya went to put on the suit and came out so that the rest of the doctors can see.
The doctors cheered for Midoriya as they saw him in his new suit.
"Thank you, Doc, for everything" Midoriya said as he bowed to Doc.
"Many people may not see this, but you, Midoriya, are a walking miracle" Doc thought to himself as he shook Midoriya's left hand.
The next day...
Midoriya looked at himself wearing his new suit in the mirror. He notices a red symbol on the lapel of his trench coat. It was very minimalistic in style, but he could recognize the symbol looking like wings and what looked like a pointed tail going down the bottom. He took a paint brush and with red paint, copied that same symbol on to the shoulder plate of his right arm. Midoriya doesn't know what that symbol means, but he made it his own.
Midoriya walks to the bus leaving for an off campus training site called the USJ.
"Young Midoriya! You're here!" said All Might enthusiastically.
"Now kids, I may not be able to join you for your rescue training, but you'll be in the reliable hands of Mr. Aizawa, Dr. Midoriya, and a special teacher who is waiting for your arrival" All Might explained to the class.
Midoriya and Aizawa took a seat in the bus while the class were in the back looking at Midoriya's new suit.
"Hey Izuku, you finally decided to get a costume, huh?" Bakugo said to Midoriya.
"Yeah, I know it looks like a hero costume, but... heh, I'm no hero" Midoriya said with a chuckle.
"Well, it looks good on you" said Mina, a pink skinned girl with horns, and black eyes similar to Midoriya's.
"Oh, thank you Ms. Ashido..." Midoriya said before being cut off by Mina.
"Always so formal, you can just call me Mina" she pouted.
"Hey Midoriya, what is your arm made of?" asked Kirishima, a tall boy with red, spikey hair.
"Essentially, it is made out of carbon fiber, but a lot of the plating is made of a mix of titanium and other alloys. It's bulletproof, blast-proof, insulated, and doesn't shut down due to electromagnetic pulses" Midoriya explained to a now star-struck Kirishima.
"So, if you were to fight both Bakugo and Kirishima at the same time, you would be able to handle them on your own?" asked Uraraka.
"Yes, as I was able to analyze, Kirishima's hardening can only hold for so long and Bakugo's tactics, no offense, are very predictable. As a bonus of me getting the upper hand on both of them, I know their strengths, weaknesses, and how to exploit said weaknesses..." Midoriya went mumbling on about all the ways in which he would be able to effectively fight a one-on-two against Bakugo and Kirishima.
"Can you stop that? It's freaking me out!" Aizawa said to Midoriya.
"Oh... sorry, it's just what I do when I find something interesting" Midoriya said.
"Good to see some things haven't changed" Bakugo thought to himself.
The bus stopped at the USJ and the class departed. The inside of USJ was enormous with different environments that simulate a rescue situation in each one. In front of the class stood an astronaut-like figure that is known as the hero, 13.
"Hello, class 1A, Eraserhead, and Dr. Midoriya. Welcome to the USJ. Each of you will be grouped into teams and will be situated in one of these different rescue scenarios" 13 explained.
"You all will have to work together to..." Aizawa said before being cut off by a black mist appearing on the main floor.
Real villains emerged from the black mist ready to attack them when Aizawa rushed in to fight them.
"Midoriya, 13, get the students out of here!" Aizawa said as he fought off the villains.
The class was making their way to the door before being blocked by the black mist. Midoriya noticed that the mist had eyes as it began to speak.
"I will not let you through. Nice to meet you. We are the League of Villains. I know it seems rude but we invited ourselves into the home of heroes, UA high school" the black mist said looking down at the students.
"He must have a portal-like quirk, it explains how they got in undetected, but how did they know of this place if the USJ is meant to be a well kept secret?" Midoriya thought to himself.
"We have come to have All Might take his last breath. I believe All Might should've been here. Was there a change in the schedule? No matter. This is the part we are here to play" said the black mist.
Bakugo and Kirishima dashed towards the mist causing a loud explosion, it was not very effective.
"What are they doing? They're aiming in the wrong place. His weakness is slightly above them" Midoriya thought to himself using his Second Vision which revealed a metal neck brace of some sort covered in the mist.
"Did you consider getting beaten by us before you could?" Kirishima said with pride.
"They got cocky..." Midoriya thought to himself as he watches both Bakugo and Kirishima having no progress in taking down the big mist.
"I have an upgrade in my arm that would end it all right here and now, but it will take all my power to pull off, I'll have to use it as a last resort for when the other villains are dealt with" Midoriya said to himself looking at his right arm.
"Nice try. Now if you're done playing around, my job is to scatter you all and make your life a living hell!" the mist said engulfing the students with mist.
Midoriya found himself transported into one of the simulated environments in the USJ, along with Kaminari, Jirou and Yaoyorozu.
"Dr. Midoriya!" Kaminari said with a little bit of relief.
"Where... where are we?" asked Jirou.
"We're in one of the simulated environments for rescue training, we're still in the USJ, but everyone else were probably taken somewhere else" said Midoriya.
A large group of villains showed up and the largest one had an electrification quirk similar to Kaminari.
"Where's the other heroes?" Yaoyorozu asked as she saw the villains emerge.
"We're on our own, Ms. Yaoyorozu. We'll have to fight them ourselves" said Midoriya.
"WHAT?! Are you kidding me? We can't take those guys!" Kaminari exclaimed with a voice crack.
"This is something that I always say when it comes to pushing back an overwhelming force: 'Underestimation is a weapon you can turn against your enemies'" Midoriya said trying to give the students some motivation.
Midoriya starts fighting back the villains, moving very similarly to Eraserhead, but faster.
"Come on, Kaminari, use your quirk!" Jirou said.
"I-I can't. If I do, the three of you will get hurt as well" Kaminari said.
Jirou let out a sigh of frustration and pushed Kaminari into the big villain. Kaminari starts to electrocute the villain and starts to gain a little bit of confidence.
Yaoyorozu used her creation quirk to make an insulating blanket so that Kaminari can go wild.
"Dr. Midoriya! get under here!" Yaoyorozu shouted to get Midoriya's attention.
"Ah, I see. Insulated blanket. my arm itself is insulated, but not the rest of my body" Midoriya said to himself as he dashed towards the girls and hid under the blanket with them.
Kaminari finally has the chance to go wild and discharges 1.3 million volts, electrocuting and knocking out all the villains.
"Phew!" Yaoyorozu sighed as the light show ended.
"Whey!" Kaminari said, back in his brain fried state.
"Well, we made it out of this alive, good thinking with the insulated blanket, Yaoyorozu" Midoriya said.
Midoriya was oblivious to the placement of his left arm, wrapped around Yaoyorozu's waist as he got up.
Yaoyorozu was the only one who noticed and she started blushing.
"NNN... This isn't over, kid!" said the big villain, regaining his balance as he stood up.
"Of course, someone with an electric based quirk would have a resistance to electrocution" Midoriya said as he dashed towards the villain and performed his ultimate move.
Midoriya connected the hard uppercut propelling both the villain and Midoriya into the air. His right hand opened up and he shot a stun shell point blank into the villain's head knocking him down into the ground instantly as Midoriya does a backflip and lands on his feet.
The girls were amazed by what they just saw, while Kaminari was still brain fried.
"Did you just kill him? Or is he just unconscious?" asked Jirou.
"Unconscious, I used my Stun Shot to finish him off. It has a massive knockback force which is why he hit the ground like a bullet" said Midoriya as he gave Kaminari a sedative to bring him back to normal.
"Hey hey! I did it!" Kaminari said cheering himself on.
Midoriya, Yaoyorozu, and Jirou just look at him with a sarcastic look on their faces.
"If you're done, Kaminari, we have to regroup with the rest of the class. This is not over" Midoriya said as he started walking towards the exit.
The four of them reached the front, where the villain with hands all over his body was standing. They were all shocked to see a large humanoid creature with an exposed brain standing over a beaten Eraserhead.
Midoriya sees the rest of the class, minus Tenya, Tsuyu, and Mineta, back at the entrance.
"This is my chance, I have to even the playing field!" Midoriya thought to himself as a purple light emerged from the grooves in his right arm.
Midoriya held his arm up and a shockwave emitted from the arm.
"What was that?" the villain said as he turned to Midoriya running directly towards him.
The villain put his hand out to use his quirk just as Midoriya connected with him, only to find out that his quirk is not working.
Midoriya rammed the villain into the ground and his irises turned purple.
Tsuyu and Mineta were in the water nearby watching as Midoriya fought the villain and they made their escape. Bakugo came in to help Midoriya, but his explosion quirk wasn't working either.
"Izuku! My quirk! It's not working!" Bakugo shouted.
"It's because you're in the area of effect. I upgraded my arm to send out a shockwave that disturbs the quirk factor, rendering it useless. In other words, my arm is temporarily erasing everyone's quirks!" Midoriya explained trying to keep his attention on the villains in front of him.
Midoriya was holding his own against the villains, but wasn't able to hold out for long. Eventually, the shockwaves stopped, the purple lights dimmed and disappeared, and Midoriya's arm, eyes, and vocal cords stopped working. Everyone's quirks came back, but Midoriya was blind, and was unable to speak. Midoriya's Nullifier upgrade used up all his power.
"Izuku!" Bakugo shouted as he dashed in front of the villains to protect Midoriya.
Kaminari and Yaoyorozu grabbed Midoriya and took him back to the entrance.
Bakugo was alone against the villains when the door to the USJ suddenly opened revealing an angry All Might.
"I AM HERE!" All Might shouted as he quickly took down all the villains, he was struggling against the large creature called a Nomu, but he eventually punched the Nomu through the skylight.
The rest of the heroes arrived to resolve the situation.
13 was critically injured, Eraserhead was hospitalized, All Might had to regain his strength and Midoriya needed a system reboot.
It took a few days before Midoriya was fully operational, meanwhile All Might kept watch over him.
Midoriya finally rebooted his system and was back to normal.
"Midoriya! Thank god, it's good to see you're okay!" All Might said as he hugged the now confused Midoriya.
"You were here the whole time?" Midoriya asked All Might.
"Yes, I was here for the past four days" said All Might.
"You didn't have to..." Midoriya said coldly.
"Young Midoriya, I've been carrying a lot of guilt since the day we met on that rooftop. I realized now that I have denied you your dream. I underestimated your willingness to risk your life for others, and you proved me wrong. I'm sorry. I hope someday you can forgive me..." said All Might.
There was silence until Midoriya spoke up.
"It's alright" Midoriya calmly said trying to hide his frustration.
He walked out of the room and headed home. Midoriya felt like he was crying, but no tears came out.
"Why do I feel even worse than before? I feel so much less than human than I ever did. I've grown this unnecessary hate for All Might and I keep dragging it around with me. Why am I..." Midoriya thought to himself holding his right arm trying to hide his sorrow as he walks home.
"Calm down, Izuku. There is no need to hate All Might, focus" Midoriya said to himself. "Mom was probably worried sick about me, I better hurry home".
