Yaoyorozu and Midoriya spent the rest of the summer hanging out together. They both went on their first date at a very prestigious restaurant that Yaoyorozu's parents took her to every week. Midoriya was surprised that she used to go there very often.
Midoriya once introduced her to his mother when he invited her to dinner at his place. Inko liked Yaoyorozu a lot and Midoriya really appreciated that.
One day, they decided to have lunch by the café near UA high school.
"Izuku, you were a doctor for over a year now, but you're no ordinary doctor, you're a Battle Medic. What is a Battle Medic exactly?" asked Yaoyorozu.
"Honestly, I'm not really sure myself. All I know is that the doctor that restored me and trained me was a Battle Medic during his time when Battle Medics were still noticed by the public" Midoriya explained after taking a sip of his tea.
"There were more?" Yaoyorozu asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, that was what I was told. Battle Medics used to assist the heroes a lot. However, the public only praised the heroes and considered the Battle Medics as 'Extras' and in turn, they didn't pay attention to them" Midoriya explained.
"So they died out over time?" asked Yaoyorozu.
"Sort of, basically, the Battle Medics were funded and maintained by a different association from the heroes. The heroes' association were better funded, while the government continuously decreased funding for the Battle Medics".
"And because they could no longer afford the essentials for the Battle Medics, they lost their jobs and the association shut down" Yaoyorozu said finishing Midoriya's sentence.
Midoriya couldn't help but smile. Yaoyorozu always finishes his sentences, and he always finishes her sentences.
"Precisely, Yao-Momo. Doc showed me a picture of the very few Battle Medics he used to work with, he said most of them are either dead, or homeless right now, but some turned to a life of crime, and two of them found a new occupation" Midoriya said as the smile on his face dissipates.
Yaoyorozu couldn't help but feel sad for the former Battle Medics. These are the people that Midoriya is associated with, and they're all gone.
Midoriya's all that's left of that profession.
"Okay, enough about me. How about you, anything new?" Midoriya asked Yaoyorozu.
"Oh. Nothing much, really..." Yaoyorozu paused as she saw a few familiar faces passing by.
It was Mina, Tsuyu, and Jirou.
"Yao-Momo! Midoriya! You're both here?" Mina said greeting the two.
"I didn't know you were the type of guy with expensive taste, Midoriya" said Tsuyu.
"Hehe, only when I can afford it..." said Midoriya with a chuckle.
"Uh... are you two..." Jirou asked as Mina and Tsuyu realized what is going on.
"Is this a Date?!" Mina asked with her face zooming in on Yaoyorozu's red face.
Midoriya's face also went red in embarrassment.
Both Midoriya and Yaoyorozu looked at each other telepathically saying the same thing to each other: "We were definitely not ready to go public with this".
"Okay fine... yes. This is a date" Yaoyorozu said with a smile.
"But you'll have to keep this private for now" said Midoriya.
The three girls giggled.
"Okay, you two. We'll keep your secret for now" Mina said putting a finger up to her mouth.
"Okay, bye you two!" Mina said as the girls left the café.
"I highly doubt they will be able to keep the secret..." said Midoriya.
"If anything, the secret would be in the news" said Yaoyorozu.
"Ah, yeah... I forgot that we're still part of UA, the best hero academy in the country" said Midoriya.
"The only issue would be the fact that I'm a student and your the field doctor, imagine the media's response when things are taken out of context" Yaoyorozu said with concern in her voice.
Midoriya held her hand in his left hand trying to comfort her. "But we're the same age. Nobody should believe everything the media says, it's all to get attention" said Midoriya.
"You're right, Izuku" Yaoyorozu said as she moved her chair closer to Midoriya.
She leaned on Midoriya and stared into his dark, artificial eyes.
"I love you, Yao-Momo" Midoriya whispered to her.
"I love you too, Izuku" Yaoyorozu replied.
A few days later...
Yaoyorozu invited Midoriya to her house.
"Your house? This place is huge!" Midoriya said looking around the main room.
"Yeah, I just think that my parents were a little too..." Yaoyorozu said as her sentenced was finished by Midoriya saying: "Overkill?".
"Yeah" Yaoyorozu replied.
"Speaking of parents, where are your parents?" asked Midoriya.
"They went out tonight, doing their thing, so I decided that since I have this place to myself... we can do ours" said Yaoyorozu.
For the next few hours, Yaoyorozu and Midoriya played video games and ate junk food, for the first time in a long time Yaoyorozu felt like a real teenager.
They also watched a movie in the personal movie theatre which was very long and became boring to the point where Yaoyorozu fell asleep on Midoriya's shoulder.
"Yep, the ending definitely is boring..." Midoriya said as he picked Yaoyorozu up and carried her to her bedroom.
As he opened the door with his right hand, Yaoyorozu woke up.
"Wait... what time is it?" Yaoyorozu asked Midoriya.
"It's time for me to go, and for you to go to sleep, Yao-Momo" Midoriya said as he tucked her into her bed.
Good night. Izuku" Yaoyorozu said as she drifted into sleep.
Midoriya gave her a warm smile and kissed her on the forehead.
"Good night, Yao-Momo" Midoriya whispered.
Midoriya left the mansion and rushed home, little did he know a mysterious figure was spying on Midoriya the whole time.
"So. The Battle Medic has a new flame... This is interesting indeed, keep following him. We need to know who trained him" a voice said to the mysterious figure.
"Fine, I'll keep watching him" said the mysterious figure frustrated at what he has to do.
The next day...
Midoriya was hanging out with Bakugo, Kirishima, and Kaminari.
The four of them were at the arcade and they decided to catch up on the events.
"I figured out how to control my quirk, guys, maybe once school starts again, I can show you" said Kaminari.
"That's good, can't wait to see how you use your quirk now" said Midoriya.
"Yeah, and maybe one day, Bakugo and I can have a little rematch..." Kirishima said glancing at Bakugo.
"You wish you could beat me" Bakugo said with a smirk.
"Whoa, easy, you two. We're in a public space, don't go using your quirks" said Midoriya.
After they got out of the arcade, Midoriya sensed someone watching them.
"Hey guys. Do any of you have the feeling like you're being watched?" Kaminari asked.
"Uh... nope" Kirishima replied.
"Nope" Bakugo replied.
"Somehow, I think Kaminari's right" Midoriya said putting his guard up. "Someone's watching us".
All four of the boys looked around for someone who might be looking at them strangely.
"Lets lead them to a secluded area where you guys can use your quirk to defend yourselves" said Midoriya.
The boys found a good place where they can not be seen by the public.
Midoriya used his instincts and shot his Extendable hand up to a rooftop and grabbed someone by the neck.
He pulled the figure down to reveal Spinner, a lizard like humanoid wearing a costume similar to Hero Killer Stain.
"I remember you, you were one of the villains who attacked us at the training camp!" Kirishima said.
"Why are you following us?" Midoriya said to Spinner.
"First of all I have my own reason to come after you, Midoriya. You were the one responsible for the Hero Killer's imprisonment!" Spinner said.
Midoriya noticed that the costume clearly showed that Spinner was a die hard fan of Stain's.
"Plus, I can't tell you why, but I've only been spying on you" Spinner said.
"Why only me, exactly" asked Midoriya.
"Because! You are associated with a long lost association that supported this corrupt hero society. The Battle Medics" Spinner explained.
"How do you know about them?" asked Midoriya angrily, readying his Stun Shot.
Bakugo made mini explosions in his hands, Kirishima hardened his body, and Kaminari started to discharge electricity.
"Our leader, is very powerful, and very knowledgeable of..."Spinner said before being cut off by Midoriya.
"As far as I'm concerned, Shigaraki is a total maniac who is not even capable of finding information that confidential" Midoriya said.
"Not Shigaraki! Someone else" Spinner replied correcting Midoriya.
"Someone else?" Kirishima asked.
"Who else would be capable of leading the League of Villains better than Shigaraki?" Kaminari asked Spinner.
"Other than All for One. He's in Tartarus Prison. He can't communicate with you guys from there" Midoriya added.
"That's for me to know and you not to find out" Spinner said as black goop came spilling out of his mouth.
Bakugo tried to grab Spinner before the goop covered his entire body, but Spinner was long gone.
"Another teleporter. The League is probably recruiting more villains as we speak" Midoriya said.
"We have to inform the heroes" Kirishima said as they made their way to the police station.
Later that night...
"Thanks for the information, boys. We'll see what we can do about the League" the detective said as he escorted the four boys out of the police station.
They said goodbye to each other and left for their homes.
Midoriya got a text from Yaoyorozu.
"Izuku! I heard you encountered a villain from the League! Are any of you hurt?" the text said.
Midoriya replied to Yaoyorozu: "None of us were hurt. We're fine. I'm heading home now".
A few seconds later Yaoyorozu responded with: "Oh thank god... stay safe alright?"
Midoriya chuckled and replied: "Piece of cake" and used a smiley emoji and a thumbs up.
Yaoyorozu replied with a heart emoji, Midoriya knew what she meant by that emoji and replied with the same emoji.
Midoriya made it home safe and went to bed.
Meanwhile...
Doc went to visit someone at Tartarus prison. He stopped at a cell with a figure sitting in a dark corner.
"Long time, no see, old friend... What is the purpose of this visit?" the figure said standing up and approaching the doctor.
I just came to see how you're doing, since... your fight against Endeavor" Doc said to the figure who emerged from the shadows. It was Hero Killer Stain.
"That's not what is puzzling me, Doc. What is puzzling me is why that kid's arm had a symbol painted onto the shoulder plate... the Battle Medic Sigil" Stain replied.
"Akaguro, we knew each other for a long time, ever since the association was shut down, you got into this mindset. 'any who wielded power without conviction were automatically sinners and deserving of death' what the hell were you thinking?" asked Doc.
"I was wondering the same thing until Knuckleduster opened my eyes to the bigger picture. My alias as Stendhal was just holding me back from the truth, this world of fake heroes. They are the same people who created the society that took your job for granted! They are the reason why there are none of you guys left, but that kid... I recognize that kind of tech. It's your tech. You trained him to fulfill the role of a shunned profession..." Stain rambled before being cut off by Doc.
"You were one of us, Akaguro! One of Us! Long before this vigilante thing, long before this Hero Killer shit. Of course what happened was unjust, but you had to do something about it! Why?" Doc exclaimed at the top of his lungs.
"What else was I supposed to do?! Live a normal life?! Continue to rot in the minds of the heroes?! I joined you guys because I had nowhere to go! You guys were all I had!" Stain shouted back at Doc.
There was silence for a few seconds before Stain spoke up.
"That kid needs to be vigilant. Returning the name of the Battle Medic into the world will put a lot of weight on his shoulders. As far as we know the rest of us are either dead or disappeared. He's the only one. Keep him safe" Stain said as he calmed down.
"That was the plan all along... I was hoping that your encounter with him would convince you to come back" Doc said as he left Tartarus.
"For a second... I actually did feel like coming back..." Stain said to himself cracking a smile.
The next day...
Midoriya and his mother answered the door to find All Might coming to visit.
"Oh my god... It's All Might... in our house!" Inko said nervously and excitedly.
"Calm down, mom. Calm down" Midoriya said under his voice.
They sat down with All Might while he brought up the UA dorms program.
"Why does Izuku need to be put into a dorm as well? He's not a student" Inko said looking back at Midoriya.
"He's a teenager, just like the rest of the students. He may be a field doctor, but he has bonded with them and we believe he should be with them to keep them safe if all else fails" All Might explained.
Inko started to remember how Midoriya and Bakugo used to come over to the house with Kaminari and Kirishima, the one time Todoroki came by to play video games, and his dates with Yaoyorozu. She saw what All Might meant in his reasoning to have Midoriya move into dorms with the rest of the class.
"Alright, I give you my permission to let Izuku move into the UA dorms" Inko replied.
Midoriya was happy to hear his mother's response and All Might smiled and bowed to Inko.
"Thank you for understanding, Ms. Midoriya. I promise you, you won't regret this" All Might said as he left the Midoriya household.
