Summer has ended and it was about time for the students of UA to move into their dorms.
Midoriya was walking to UA with Bakugo, Kirishima and Kaminari.
There was one whole building for each class.
Aizawa briefed the students and told them about the arrangement for Midoriya to join them.
"Hey, hey! Midoriya gets to live with us. This is gonna be great" Kirishima said as he was unpacking his stuff.
"Yeah, well. It's because I've been keeping you guys safe that they wanted me to be near all of you at all times. It may not be in my job description, but I personally made it a part of my job" Midoriya said.
The class was happy to realize that Midoriya cares about them more than they believe. Mina has her eyes focused watching Midoriya help Yaoyorozu unpack her stuff, trying her best not to crack an evil smile.
Later that night...
"Alright, so. The girls and I have been talking and we thought it would be fun if you guys show us your rooms" Mina said in her usual cheerful manner.
"Alright, but just to make it fair, you will have to show us your rooms afterward" Kaminari said.
The girls agreed to the negotiation and they started with Midoriya's room on the far end of the corridor, next to Todoroki's.
Midoriya's room was decorated with gaming gear, a very expensive looking gaming computer, and a small television with a gaming console.
"I did not know Dr. Midoriya took an interest in the gaming industry" said Tenya.
"Over the summer, Midoriya and I took up gaming. He's even wearing the same hoodie that I have" Todoroki said out of the blue.
"Huh?!" everyone said in unison, surprised that Todoroki has been hanging out with Midoriya over the summer. The only ones that weren't surprised by this information was Bakugo, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Yaoyorozu.
The hoodie Midoriya was wearing was designed with patterns very similar to the theme of his room, it even had some famous gaming sponsors sewn onto it.
"All of this stuff looks expensive. How were you able to afford all of this?" Uraraka asked Midoriya.
"Turns out. The job as a doctor pays better than you think" Midoriya replied.
They continued to Todoroki's room, which to their surprise was completely reworked. He didn't have much gaming decorations in his room like Midoriya but there were a substantial amount of the same decorations.
Kaminari's room, however, had so much gaming decorations that the entire room was covered with gaming merchandise.
Kirishima only had a few action figures that look like video game characters.
Bakugo had a badge hanging on the hook on the wall which looks like the logo of a famous gaming team.
Everyone was starting to sense a pattern.
After the boys showed off their rooms, it was the girls' turn.
All of their rooms were very much like each of their personality, until Yaoyorozu's room, which had a really big bed and a lot of luxury furniture, fitted into a room which was as big as her closet back home.
Tsuyu notices a sweater that Yaoyorozu forgot to put away. It was abnormally large, but it had two holes for the head. It also had the badge of the same famous gaming team.
"Yao-Momo. Is that a conjoined sweater of some kind?" Uraraka asked her.
"Looks like it was made for two people" Jirou added.
Tsuyu started sniffing the sweater and picked up a boy's scent. Midoriya's scent. Tsuyu didn't say anything and just put it down.
The room tours ended and the class and Midoriya went back to the main living room.
"Is it me or did I sense a pattern with all that gaming stuff that we found in some of the boys' rooms, and not to mention that sweater in Yao-Momo's room. Have you guys been hanging out during the summer?" Uraraka asked the group which consists of Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Yaoyorozu.
"Yeah. We've been hanging out a lot recently" Todoroki replied bluntly.
"I knew it!" Mina said as she jumped up from her seat.
"Do you guys remember that annual gaming convention Kirishima and I couldn't shut up about?" Kaminari asked.
"Yeah?" Tenya replied.
"Yeah, we went there. The gaming merch that you saw in our rooms were purchased from the gaming convention" Midoriya explained.
"All six of you guys went?!" said Mineta. "Without me?!".
It was pretty obvious why they wanted to exclude Mineta.
Flashback started...
The group walked into the large stadium where the annual gaming convention took place.
The venue was riddled with small stores, activities, and display areas.
"Alright, we're all gonna split up, buy whatever we want with our spending money and meet back here in two?" Yaoyorozu said organizing their visiting plans.
"Yeah" the boys said in unison.
"Okay, break!" Yaoyorozu said as she grabbed Midoriya's arm and pulled him along with her.
Midoriya was surprised to see that there was an All Might merch store in the gaming convention and decided to go take a look while Yaoyorozu looked at a jewelry booth unable to make a decision on what she wants to get.
Midoriya looks at Yaoyorozu struggling and decides to pick an All Might themed ring for her.
Yaoyorozu was overjoyed with his gift for her that she hugged him really tight.
Yaoyorozu found what would be her best purchase throughout the whole convention, the sweater for two. They walked around the convention wearing it.
They went to find some food when they bumped into Todoroki and Kaminari. The boys were in on the secret of Midoriya and Yaoyorozu's current relationship.
"Hey, Midoriya. I found this cool hoodie. Kaminari and I wanted to buy two, but we ended up getting a third one free. Do you want it?" asked Todoroki.
"Sure, thanks" Midoriya said gratefully taking the hoodie.
"It has a really cool design too" Midoriya added.
Todoroki smiled as he watched Midoriya put the hoodie on.
Bakugo and Kirishima regrouped with them after getting some action figures and a lot of room decorations.
"Whoa... that's a lot of room decorations" Yaoyorozu said as she watches Bakugo and Kirishima walk towards them.
"This was absolutely unnecessary, Kirishima. We didn't need to buy ALL of their decorations" Bakugo said.
"I couldn't make up my mind, dude. Give me a break" Kirishima said to Bakugo.
"You know, if you want, we can even out those room decorations among the rest of us" Kaminari said breaking the tension.
"Good idea, Kaminari. Midoriya. How much of these do you want?" asked Kirishima.
"I'll take a few, but I don't want too much" Midoriya replied.
"I'll just take this one" Todoroki said picking up the poster containing a logo of the famous gaming team.
"It's alright. I don't need any of those" Yaoyorozu said.
"Okay... I'll have whatever's left!" Kaminari said as he grabbed the rest of the decorations.
"Hey. The trailers are about to start" Midoriya said looking at the interface in his eyes, showing him the time.
"Alright, lets go see!" Kirishima said hurrying the group so that they could get good seats.
Flashback ended...
"Sounded like you guys had a great time" Mineta said feeling jealous that he couldn't go.
"And, I'm guessing that the other person wearing the sweater with Yao-Momo was Mi-" Mina said as she shut her mouth the instant she remembered the secret.
"Midoriya?" Tenya said trying to finish Mina's sentence.
"God Dammit!" Yaoyorozu and Midoriya thought to each other at the same time.
Everyone in the room stared directly at a now embarrassed Midoriya and Yaoyorozu.
"Oops..." said Mina.
Both Yaoyorozu and Midoriya let out a loud sigh in unison.
"Yes, guys... We are dating" Midoriya said in defeat.
"It's been going on since the end of training camp" Yaoyorozu added.
"What?!" everyone said in unison.
"And we were having a good time together. Izuku has actually been really supportive of me, he even taught me a few things and... over time, I started to develop... feelings for him..." Yaoyorozu explained while showing the girls a few photos she took of Midoriya and her together.
The girls let out a series of "aww" as they browsed through the pictures.
They eventually came across a picture of Kaminari, Todoroki and Midoriya wearing their matching hoodies at the gaming convention.
They went through all the photos of the six of them having a good time at the gaming convention, and the last one was a photo of Yaoyorozu and Midoriya wearing the sweater for two, with the All Might ring Midoriya bought for Yaoyorozu clearly visible.
The secret was no longer a secret, and according to the rest of the class's reactions, they were fine with it.
The class kept this a secret from the rest of UA, so Midoriya and Yaoyorozu could rest easy.
The next day...
Midoriya was in Recovery Girl's office organizing a few documents for her when Doc came by for official business.
"Doc?" Midoriya said surprised.
"Hey, Midoriya. You have a little problem, and by little, I mean..." Doc awkwardly said as a lady walked in.
"You are Doctor Izuku Midoriya?" the lady asked him.
"Uh, yeah... is there something wrong?" Midoriya asked concerned.
"Yes, I represent Japan's Medical Board of Directors. This is a notice that you are now relieved of your status as doctor" the lady said formally.
Midoriya looked down and didn't say a word.
"The reason why you're fired is because you're too young and according to the board's records, you are not considered a qualified doctor" Doc explained.
The room was silent for a few minutes.
"Midoriya?" Doc said anxiously waiting for a response from Midoriya.
"It's alright... I'll get my things and leave" Midoriya said in a deadpanned voice.
"Oh, there is no need, Midoriya. Doc here did save your job as field doctor in UA and due to all of your accomplishments and how you seem to handle yourself, the Board agreed to let you resume here, however you are not allowed to work at the hospital" the lady said.
Midoriya's eyes widened at the sound of that.
"That is all Midoriya" the lady said as she left the office.
Recovery Girl let out a sigh of relief.
"It's unfortunate that you are not a doctor anymore, but look on the bright side. You're still at UA" Doc said to Midoriya.
"At least" Midoriya replied with a sigh.
Later that night...
Midoriya was sitting alone in the dorm's living room with his elbows on his knees and his hands together, pressed on his forehead.
He let out sighs of frustration until class 1A came back from a long day of training for their ultimate moves.
"Hey Midoriya..." Kaminari said before he saw the state Midoriya was in.
"Hey guys" Midoriya said in a low tone.
Uh... what's wrong Izuku?" Uraraka asked tilting her head to the side with a concerned look on her face.
"Oh, nothing really... just..." Midoriya said before being cut off by Todoroki.
"You can tell us, you're one of us, right?" Todoroki said as he sat beside Midoriya.
Yaoyorozu sat on the other side of Midoriya and hooked her arm around Midoriya's left arm.
"Okay, long story short, I got fired" Midoriya said.
"Fired?!" Everyone exclaimed.
"Well, not entirely... I have this job as the field doctor for you guys, and the job I was fired from was the actual doctor position at the hospital Yao-Momo and I were recovering in" Midoriya explained.
"You had a job before this?" Mina asked surprised.
"Well, it was a means for me to survive and master my tech before going out into the world again, but after my first patient, it began to feel like a job. So I stayed and helped with saving heroes' lives" Midoriya said.
"Damn, you had been through a lot, huh..." Kirishima said.
"The arm, the eyes, your voice... you lost all of that because of an unknown villain... you really have a tragic past, Midoriya" Tokoyami said.
Everyone almost forgot that even though Midoriya is their medic, he is the one who experienced the most pain.
Midoriya has a flashback to the time he was continuously slashed by the villain.
"It's no use looking into the past right now. I'm going to sleep. See you guys tomorrow" Midoriya said changing his expression from frustrated to happy almost instantly.
"That's a 180" everyone said in unison.
Midoriya is now fast asleep, meanwhile Doc has visited another old friend.
"It's been a while, Doc" said the masked figure.
"You definitely never changed your ways since we last collaborated" Doc said.
"And yet, we collaborate again. To bring the Battle Medics back to their former glory. If I'm being honest, I couldn't care less for your reason to help us, but as long as you do, and you are not caught, you are welcome" the masked figure said.
"Just to be clear, Chisaki. This is the last time I'm collaborating with your kind, you are the only one who is able to give someone I know a better future" Doc explained to Kai Chisaki, the current leader of the Shie Hassaikai.
"Oh, so this is not for you, this is for someone else. Funny. I never knew you actually were capable of caring for someone else more than yourself" Chisaki replied.
"You wouldn't understand, the longer he lives his life without the Battle Medics, the harder it will be for him to live in this society" Doc explained starting to express anger.
"And our plan is the only thing that can rid this world of this society. I do understand, Doc. You definitely don't know how a powerful underground organization such as ours has been impacted by the hero society" Chisaki explained.
"You can thank All Might for that" Doc said mocking All Might behind his back.
"Listen, this kid needs to be with his own kind and..." Doc said before cutting himself off, hoping Chisaki didn't catch on to what he just said.
"Just reassure me that your plan won't fail, please?" Doc said to Chisaki.
"You have my word, Doc. The plan will be flawless" Chisaki said reassuring Doc that he will get what he wants.
As Doc left the dark alley, Chisaki started speaking to himself.
"Kid... needs to be with his own... kind... hahahaha... so, Doc, you've been training a new Battle Medic? Or is he the offspring of one of your old comrades? I don't know, but I will find out who he is".
