My name is Pyre, and I'm a late-20s human from the Land Down Under.

Feb 2021:

So it's been almost two years, and this profile needs an update.

Despite my best attempts, due to some recent upheavals in my life, including the loss of my mother and the need for me to step up as head of my family to support my disabled siblings, my predictability in updating anything is a little hit-and-miss. Saying that, unless I have specifically labelled them as such, none of my works should be considered abandoned. I will get there eventually.

I will soon have a website for all my fandom endeavours online, which will be a more concrete place to share my associated meanderings through different mediums. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

March 2019: Hi everyone. Circumstances in RL are still ongoing, but I am still involved in fandom, albeit behind the scenes and passively vs actively. However I hope to return eventually, with the intention of finishing and updating all my stories. Life and health come first unfortunately, but if you want to drop me a line about anything, I'll do my very best to reply as time permits. Thank you. :)

December 2017: Hi guys. I've had a lot of queries on my WIPs lately, asking me when I'm going to update. The short answer is, I don't actually know.

The long answer is, the past three years for me have been hell on wheels, with some very personal and family issues compounding in a very big mess of a so-called life. I've finished uni with Honours, and am now moved out of the family home and looking for full-time work, I've lost my grandmother to very sudden-onset lung cancer, almost lost my mother due to illness several times, heart failure and infection and what-have-you; a situation that is still ongoing at the current time. And then there's the fact that my own mental and physical health is a mess of ups and downs, and it's a struggle to get through the day with any sort of energy levels left at the end, let alone have the energy for writing and updating, much as I would love to. It would really, really help as a stress-release, fanfic has always had that for me, but with no time, it has really made that impossible, much to my chagrin.

While I am kind of on hiatus with updates, for lack of a better term, I am still writing, and unless the stories say otherwise in author's notes, etc, or I have specifically named them as 'complete' fics in the description, my fics will always be ended the way I always envision them to be. I don't know how long it will take me, given the sheer size of the Bound Series in particular, but I won't abandon any of them, and if I ever do, I will state that specifically.

In the meantime, to all those who have left me reviews and queries, anonymous or not: thank you for reading what I have published here. It means the world that you're still asking about them, even though I'm pretty much inactive.

Me and My Writing:

I write Thunderbirds at present, with one standalone fic from the Infernal Devices fandom (see below), but I eventually hope to branch out into other fandoms; The Mortal Instruments, Harry Potter, Merlin and Crusoe to mention a few.

Saying that, I should probably also add that I am primarily a movie-verse writer in my chosen archive, and thus have created my own back-story for the Tracy boys, which is both similar and quite different to those in the original television series. It is also slightly AU, as the Bound Series has progressed, due to the details that were overlooked in the 2004 movie. I have a bad habit of trying to fix things, sometimes to my detriment. :P Please don't hesitate to ask me questions to clear up any confusion that might arise.

I also love to do 'what if' scenarios, such as the inclusion of my sixth Tracy boy, Virgil's identical twin; Kent Slayton. Kent is an OC of my own creation. No use or inclusion of him in any fics may be used unless it is with my prior permission.
