Chapter 6: Training

After school, Izuku decided to get him some training in for the upcoming entrance exams. He saw a beach that was filled with nothing but garbage. He made a game plan to start cleaning it up as part of his Ki training.

He started doing a few things such as lifting heavy objects, and also using some others as practice for his ki blasts. While he was doing that, he also wrote down some ideas for super moves and fighting styles. One idea he had was emitting a powerful gust of pressurized air with just two fingers. He dubbed this the Delaware Smash.

He also did a few laps in order to work on his physique. Izuku also did some swimming and other activities to keep himself in awhile, Izuku was tiring himself out but he kept pushing. Even when he felt like pudding he still kept pushing. He kept pushing himself until the sun was about to set. He decided he was gonna go home.

As he was walking, he felt so tired that he was needing to use his ki to keep himself from falling limp. Inko saw him lying on the couch.

"Izuku there you are!" Inko said, "Where have you been honey?"

"Oh, I was just doing some training at Degobah beach," Izuku explained.

"You mean that dirty beach where all the trash is?" Inko asked.

"Yeah... holy crap am I out of breath." Izuku said as he collapsed onto the floor.

"Izuku!" Inko shouted in concern for her son. She went to pick him up. "Izuku, honey. Whatever training you did PLEASE don't do it again! Or at least don't push yourself so hard!"

"Don't tell dad this," Izuku said, "but I'm doing a bit of community service."

"Community service?"

"You know that beach that's full of trash? But remember when it wasn't?" Izuku asked of which Inko nodded her head yes to both questions, "Well as part of my training I'm starting to clean it. I made it my goal to have it finished by ten months."

"Izuku. As much as I'm happy that you're doing the public a favor by cleaning up that beach, PLEASE don't push yourself so hard! You were gone all day! What would Ochako say to you?" Inko asked kind of hiding a smirk imagining Ochako being a wife to her son.

"Yes ma'am,"

"Now, I made Katsudon, so go sit at the kitchen table and i'll make you a plate." Inko said as she dropped Izuku. Izuku couldn't exactly move.

"Um... Mom? Could you... help me...?" Izuku asked. "I uh... can't exactly move..."

"That's it! I'm inviting Ochako!"

A knock could be heard at the door. Inko went to go get it. Izuku gained some of his strength back but was SUPER sore. He was at the kitchen table eating a plate of Katsudon. He hadn't realized how hungry he was as he was chowing down.

"Wow he must've worked himself to the bone" toshinori commented.

"Where do you think he gets it from?" Inko asked, "You worked really hard to impress Mom."

Toshinori chuckled. Inko went to answer the door. It was none other than Ochako. She had some bags with her as well.

"My brother says our apartment is getting some cleaning done, so he suggested I stay here for a bit," Ochako said, "So what's the Occasion Ms Y…. er… Inko. Not that i'm glad that you invited me but, why did you? Especially so late? Although it IS a Saturday." Ochako asked.

"Well, I just thought you could smack some since into my son. He came home completely limp from working himself too hard! He must be feeling sore as can be right now!" Inko said.

"Mom! I'm not that so- OW!" Izuku said gripping his arm.

"See?" Inko asked.

Ochako sighed and walked over to the green haired boy.

"Izuku Shimura Yagi!" Ochako said making all three Toshinori, Inko and ESPECIALLY Izuku swallow a lump in their throats, "You need to stop working yourself so hard just to prove yourself. I know you wanna be a great hero, but even you gotta set boundaries sometimes."

"But-"

"No buts mister! If I hear you overworked yourself again then I'll take away your All Might figurine and hide it until you learn to not overwork yourself. Got it?!" Ochako said sternly.

"Y-y-y-you wouldn't….." Izuku said.

"I sure would," Ochako said.

Izuku sighed in defeat.

"Yes ma'am," Izuku said.

"Good." Ochako said as she turned to Inko. "Anything else Inko?"

"Please, have dinner with us! We're having katsudon!" Inko said.

"I'd be glad to," Ochako said taking a seat next to Izuku much to Inko's delight.

Meanwhile….

Ryu was practicing on a punching bag in the Kendo's private dojo while Kendo was stretching before training herself. Ryu channeled ki into his arm and then punched the bag. The blow was so hard it ended up flying out of the building. The others looked at him.

"Hehe... oops."

"Oh boy!" Kendo said. "Ryu, that's the third time this week, and it's not even Tuesday!"

"Guess I don't know my own strength," he said with a chuckle.

"Hehe it's alright," Kendo said, "Gramps was the same when he first started."

"You're damn right I was, and I'd do it again!" Kendo's Grandfather said. "Fucking bastard didn't know a true hero if it hit him right between the eyes!"

"You mean Nighteye gramps?" Kendo asked.

Her grandfather nodded.

Kendo then turned to Ryu and said, "Say Ryu?"

"Yea?"

"Since we got some time... wanna head to the mall?" Kendo asked.

Ryu blushed and asked, "...like a date?"

"I-I mean... it COULD be a date if uh... you want it to be." Kendo said.

"I'd like to then!" Ryu said, still having a red face.

Kendo's grandfather smiled in delight mouthing 'finally'

Kendo took Ryu's hand as he blushed and the two of them left. They were heading to a mall to have themselves a good time. Ryu then turned to his martial arts friend.

"So what school are you thinking of attending?" Ryu asked.

"Well honestly I'm thinking of U.A High," Kendo said, "They have a great hero program there."

"Whoa, me too!" Ryu said, "Together we'll be the greatest heroes of all time! What kind of people do you think we'll meet."

"Hopefully none who are self entitled," Kendo said, "Hopefully my classmates will treat you with respect."

"Yeah. I hope so to." Ryu said. "Hopefully no one will treat me like shit like they did in middle school."

"Well, you have power," Kendo said, "Honestly they're blind to the fact that you need 'a quirk' to be taken seriously. But you have something far better than a quirk. You have heart."

Ryu smiled at that. The two of them were enjoying their date and going all around the mall enjoying each other's company. They just left a sweets store. As they were walking out they saw some teens picking on a kid. Ryu overheard them talking about how the kid had a weak quirk.

"Ryu?" Kendo asked.

"Excuse me," Ryu said.

He went to one of the bullies and tapped their shoulder.

"What you want?" he asked.

"What I want is for you to stop picking on that little boy," Ryu said, "That Karma will bite you in the ass one day."

One of the bullies had something as a weapon swinging it at Ryu trying to scare him.

"Get back freak!" he said, "Back! I warned ya!"

Ryu took the item without any fear and bent it, breaking it into two. The bully looked at him terrorized.

"...Right…"

Ryu then channeled Ki into his hand. He punched the guy so hard he ended up flying into a changing room. The other bully looked at him.

"This is the part where you run," Ryu said with a smile.

"Umm... I should go!" he said

They all started to run.

"That'll teach ya!" Ryu said.

He then went up to the kid. "Hey, are you alright?"

The little boy nodded and smiled.

"Wow that was so cool!" he said, "What's your quirk?"

"I'm quirkless actually, but I use Ki," Ryu said.

That shocked the boy.

"But how did you manage to... you were... wow!" the kid said, "You could make history!"

"Ryu that was awesome!" Kendo said, "You handled those guys without any fear whatsoever!"

Ryu blushed at the praise he got from his crush.

"Well what can I say?" Ryu asked, "I can't stand people who bully others for something beyond their control."

Kendo smiled at the boy's actions. She did something that she never expected to do. She went up to the boy and gave him a quick peck on the lips, much to Ryu's surprise. She released immediately and blushed while smiling.

"Sorry, couldn't resist," she said with a smile

Ryu then pulled her into a kiss of his own.

"I guess we're even now." He said.

They heard some yelling. They looked to see some kind of griffin like creature causing a ruckus, and a girl trying to calm him down. Ryu turned to Kendo.

"Let's….. Go home," Ryu said.

"Ditto," Kendo agreed.
