The smoke billowed through the air as Yubelluna slowly got up from the thirty foot deep crater she was in, wincing as her body sparked and painfully electrocuted her. That Jaeger had rained down Holy Lightning upon them, multiple bolts of pure holy power used in a common weapon of war. Which was also quite effective too, she mused as she rigidly crawled out of the crater with only one arm. Her clothing was in tatters and her fellow peerage members were also crawling out of their respective craters as Ravel sat on the lip of her hole.
"Why did Riser summon that thing?" Ravel hissed as lightning sparked out of her body, causing her to spasm, "He didn't have to do anything but stop and then he caused this to happen."
Yubelluna got to her feet and limped over to Ravel before holding out her hand, "We need to go before his madness spreads even further."
Ravel frowned as she looked at the hand then at Yubelluna, "What madness?"
The Queen Piece hissed as another spasm ran through her body, "Riser has been...frequently...visiting some woman, someone that has been helping him with this plan of his to get Rias. However, every visit, Riser comes back changed and more isolated from everyone. He hasn't called any of us to please him nor has he called on us to do anything to help. He only sees that woman and no one else. He's gone mad and that woman is the cause of it. I have no love for our Lord anymore since he started seeing that filth. So I say this again, as your Queen, we are leaving before his madness spreads."
Ravel looked very pale before she nodded and grabbed Yubelluna's outstretched hand, getting to her feet as the rest of the peerage gathered around them. Yubelluna summoned the transportation circle and they all left Riser alone.
Riser stood up, his body burning back into existence as he walked to the edge of the forest that surrounded Old Satan City. He didn't care about the city, he didn't care about who lived there anymore. He only wanted Rias and her alone, she was everything. He then frowned as he felt something pulse within his brain that made him start pushing his magic out to find a breach. He then gasps as his flames suddenly leave his body and his powers leave his body.
He collapsed to his knees as the woman that had been talking to him for months came up behind him before he felt blackness overcome him completely.
The Fae known only as the "Whisperer" walked past her latest part of her plan, using his magics to summon a breach. The breach would actually summon a category four Kaiju into this realm but then, it had to be fused with something else. So, she used the boy's own gifts of fire to create the beast that would destroy this realm. She hated Devils, actually, scratch that. Anything that was against her Goddess Tiamat was dead to her, this realm would be the first to go in her plan to bring the Fae back into ruling the planet like they were always meant to do.
She then looked over at the Jaeger, shuddering as she watched the massive crimson machine march towards the city below. The Fae feared the Jaegers for good reason, humanity had created machines like this in the past when Atlantis was a major superpower. The war raged across the surface of Earth and the Fae had lost the war, it was the reason they fled the Earth in the first place.
Of course, the Atlantians destroyed themselves and everything related to the War Machines. Even then, Humanity brought back the machines, though not as streamlined and not as elegant as their previous machines were. These were massive machines that were built to kill Kaiju and destroy things that humans couldn't normally do by themselves, the old War Machines could do much more then that. If humanity ever found one of the Old Machines, by Tiamat, help the Fae if that ever happened.
She turned and pushed her power into the breach before being blasted off her feet as the beast pulled itself free of its prison. The thing erupted out of the central gardens, tearing the building apart as it stood on two legs. Blue fire and smoke billowing around it as it unfurled its wings of flame and smog.
"A balrog," She mused, smiling as the multi-eyed monster created a flaming sword in its hand, "That would be quite the fight."
Rias and Akeno ran as soon as the alarms blared in the com-pod, the scanners showing the identification of the monster that had just appeared. A category four Kaiju, the first to appear in months, was here in Old Satan City. Akeno reached for the radio as they ran, holding it as she shouted into it.
"This is Ranger Akeno Himejima, all civilians are to evacuate as quickly as they can out of the city. A Category Four has appeared in Old Satan City, everyone, please evacuate."
The city radios were overridden as the people in the city ran away from the massive monster that was wrecking the city. Rias and Akeno charged the beast before slamming a fist into its face, blue blood flying out of its jaws as they kicked the Kaiju back. The monster towered over most of the smaller buildings but was several dozen meters taller then Diablo Lightning, shaped like a Balrog of old. It glowered half a dozen blue eyes at the Jaeger, roaring as it flared out its wings.
The pair gritted their teeth as they prepared for combat.
When Sairaorg Bael heard Akeno's voice over the city intercom systems before he saw the massive beast that was destroying the city, he knew he had to go. He had been with his Aunt Venelana and Uncle Zeoticus Gremory when the alarms sounded then the monster appeared. Glowing blue and wreathed in flames of the same coloration and smoke, the Balrog looking beast used a flaming sword to slice through a building. The building slid off and smashed onto the ground below.
Then the ground shook as a massive Jaeger rushed and sent the beast onto the backfoot with a mighty punch. This was followed up by a kick in the chest, which caused Sairaorg to wince as the sounds of bones snapped was heard. The monster, no Kaiju, roared before flaring out its wings as the Jaeger let out a howling Fog Horn. The Jaeger then got in close, grabbing the monster by one of its horns that curved around its skull and yanking it forward. It stumbled as it lost its footing before a fist smashed its face into the concrete pavement.
Sairaorg quickly pulled Venelana and Zeoticus close and ran, holding them in his arms as the sounds of builds collapsing and two massive titans fighting filled the air behind them. As he was leaping over a massive crack in the road, the ground exploded and sent all three flying. Sairaorg quickly pulled himself into a tumble, but both his Aunt and Uncle had to do it on their own. Getting to his feet, the Bael Devil watched in awe as the Jaeger swung its arm back as it held the Kaiju by the throat with the other.
In slow motion, he saw the top of the arm lift and several parts push out, coming together to make a sword blade. In another heartbeat, the arm came up and stabbed deeply into the Kaiju's chest. Blue blood splattered across the city and road, burning everything it touched. The hand on the Kaiju's throat came back before the hand twisted and a massive circular blade appeared, spinning so fast that Sairaorg was sure that if he was near that, he would be nothing but a blood puddle. The circular blade came around, slicing cleanly through the throat of the beast as the sword was pulled free.
Then the sword returned inside the arm as the circular saw blade was slammed into the wound, twisting the wrist so that it cut even deeper. The hand looked like it was going to do something when the monster got ahold of the Jaeger and shoved it away, not caring as blood and viscera was sent flying. The Jaeger collapsed onto its back as the Monster roared, flames burning new flesh and skin into existence. Phenex flames, Sairaorg realized before the monster summoned a flaming whip into its off hand.
With a flick, the whip wrapped itself around the bladeless arm of the human machine. That was until the armed continued to wrap itself in the flaming whip, drawing the line between the two taut. The hand then spun into a triangular shape that started to glow with red and black energy, energy Sairaorg was familiar with. Once, twice, three times the cannon fired and the arm of the beast was torn off its body.
Without the source of power, the whip dissipated into nothing, the Jaeger activating hidden thrusters on its back to get up on its feet. It pulled the saw blade returned inside the other arm as that hand started to spin around, turning into a cannon itself. That was until the beast unleashed a ball of flaming fluids at the hand, causing the hand to spark and spasm as internal parts were eaten away. The pilots spun the hand until most of the gunk was gone before returning it to its hand mode, which gave the monster time to close in and send the Jaeger sideways with both feet.
The Jaeger collapsed and the Kaiju closed in on its prey, the shoulder stump burning with blue flames as it brought up its other hand. Sairaorg was ready to jump into the fight when Venelana beat him to the punch first. A mother's wrath is something to behold, especially when it was from a Gremory. Venelana was in the air, the Power of Destruction colisessing into a massive avatar before her, her eyes and hair glowing pure crimson as the avatar brought a destructive fist into the back of the Kaiju.
Flesh, bone and skin were atomized upon contact, as the Kaiju roared in agony. Venelana used her avatar to grab both of the Kaiju's wings and hurl it away from the Jaeger, the angry mother only getting more powerful as her gift dwarfed that of her eldest son. The Avatar was glowing as the Kaiju was taking a beating from the Mother of Rias and Sirzech, until the Kaiju blew a stream of flame that caught Venelana off guard. Zeoticus caught her as she fell, the Avatar fading as the Kaiju got up and readied another breath attack.
The Jaeger moved and got between them, flames slamming into the machine's back as Sairaorg, Venelana and Zeoticus saw inside the Jaeger's head. Through the single 'eye', all three saw Rias and Akeno as they tanked the flames. Sparks and warning systems were going off everywhere but they looked at them before Rias spoke, her voice strained from the pain.
"Get out of here!"
Everyone was frozen until Akeno screamed, her eyes closing as the Jaeger's thrusters exploded. The flames having eaten away at the armor protecting it, the Jaeger was now exposing its insides to the Kaiju. Sairgaorg moved, grabbing both adults as the Jaeger got up and fired off another Destructive blast. The flames immediately stopped, but the Kaiju was ready to end the Jaeger. The cloud rumbled and then gathered, so fast that no one realized how much they had gathered.
The Jaeger lifted its cannon to the sky, as Lightning arc'd down and slammed into it. The destructive energies then took on a glow of Brilliant Crimson and Lustrous Gold, shining in the darkness as the cannon came down, aimed at the Kaiju's wounded neck.
"Holy Destruction cannon," Sairgaorg heard over the remaining speakers, both girls were saying this aloud, "charged."
The cannon fired, the energy was like a bolt of lightning that had multiple arms that hit buildings on its way forward. The Kaiju didn't move in time and the shot connected, tearing the wound wide open as molecules disintegrated into nothing. The Kaiju roared before it went silent, its head sliding off the heavily damaged neck stump onto the ruined pavement below. The Jaeger aimed its cannon again, this time, the fingers tightened the beam as it fired over and over again into its chest. The chest exploded open and the organs were obliterated within several shots of the cannon.
The body then was allowed to collapse to the ground as the arm was pumped, returning to its hand mode. The Jaeger turned as the artificial sun rose, hitting the dented, torn and smoking armor of the Jaeger. With a final note, it let out a victorious horn.
