Part 10: Finale
The students of Class 1-A have gathered around the television in the common room. Kaminari is kneeling by the television, poking around with some wires connected to an old DVD player.
Mineta taps his foot impatiently.
Mineta: Come on Kaminari, what's taking so long?
Kaminari turns his head back, a look of irritation on his face.
Kaminari: Give me a second man!
Jiro smirks.
Jiro: Yeah. We wouldn't want you to fry your brain again, would we Jammingwhey?
The boy scowls further.
Kaminari: Not cool Jiro!
Meanwhile Sero and Kirishima watch Kaminari from over his shoulder. Sero points at one of the loose cables with concern.
Sero: Uh, are you sure that wire is supposed to go there?
Kaminari: Yes I'm sure!
Sero: Well I don't think it does. It looks like it goes over there.
Kaminari: I know an HDMI port when I see one! Just trust me!
Kirishima meanwhile starts using the remote to flip through the TV channels, getting nothing but static.
Kirishima: Are you sure Kaminari? I'm still not seeing anything.
Kaminari looks back in confusion whilst Sero shrugs his shoulders.
Kaminari: Still? Are you sure you're on the right output?
Sero: I'm telling you, you need to-
He is interrupted by Kaminari whose eyes widen in realisation.
Kaminari: Hold on, I think that's it. Try it now Kirishima!
Kirishima presses a button on the remote, changing the image from static to a clear picture of the DVD player's screensaver.
Kirishima: Hey, It works now!
He stands up, brushing some dust off of his knees with a satisfied look on his face.
Kaminari: See? What did I tell you guys?
He then throws himself onto the sofa, taking a seat next to Jiro.
Kaminari: Now, let's get this movie started!
Jiro: It's about time.
The class begin to cheer in excitement only to be stopped by Momo.
Momo: No, wait! We're still waiting for Ashido and Midoriya!
The class then collectively groan in frustration but none are more aggravated than Kaminari.
Kaminari: Seriously!? How come you guys were giving me so much crap about setting the TV up then!? Where are those two anyway? They've been gone for ages!
Bakugo, sitting in a beanbag by himself, roars in anger.
Bakugo: Who cares!? Just start the stupid thing already and stop wasting time!
Iida turns to reprimand him.
Iida: Absolutely not! This is a class activity so we will wait for Midoriya and Ashido to arrive!
Tsuyu turns her head towards the nearby corridor, her tongue poking slightly out of her mouth as she holds a finger up to her chin.
Tsuyu: Not to worry everyone, I think they'll be here soon.
Back in the corridor, Izuku and Mina have secluded themselves from the rest of the class.
Mina takes Izuku's hands in hers, looking up at him in concern.
Mina: Are you sure you want to go through with this?
Izuku nods and smiles nervously.
Izuku: I- I think so. I-I still can't believe we're about to do this though.
Mina holds his arms close to her chest, tilting her head slightly.
Mina: If you're not ready we can always leave it for later.
Izuku continues to smile and his face has now become much more determined.
Izuku: No, I think we've left it for long enough. I'm ready.
Mina: Okay then.
Hand in hand, the two proceed to approach the rest of their classmates in the common room.
Izuku and Mina have now joined the others by the television.
Kirishima smiles at them eagerly.
Kirishima: Great, you guys are here! You ready to watch the movie?
Izuku and Mina stand in front of the television, much to the bewilderment of the others, save for Bakugo who growls in annoyance.
Kirishima: Guys?
Bakugo: Get the hell outta the way you dumbasses! You're blocking the TV!
Momo: Midoriya? Ashido? Is something wrong?
Izuku shakes his head.
Izuku: Everything's fine Yaoyarozu. But before we start, Mina and I have an announcement to make.
A few of the students eye them suspiciously though many more of them remain confused.
Toru: Ooh, what is it?
Kaminari: Uh, what's going on here?
Jiro: And why did Midoriya just call you Mina?
Mina smirks.
Mina: That's because…
At that moment she turns to Izuku and grabs a hold of his shirt, pulling him forward before planting a kiss on his lips, much to the shock of the rest of the class.
The two separate and Mina turns back to the others and smiles brightly. Izuku on the other hand has a nervous smile as he straightens out his shirt.
Mina: He's my boyfriend!
Izuku: Y-yep… A-and she's my girlfriend.
The class continue to stare at the two in silence, eyes wide and mouths agape.
Finally, the group erupts into a collective uproar, causing Izuku and Mina to cringe away at the volume.
WHAAAAAT!?
The couple soon find themselves surrounded by their friends, overwhelming them with an intense and manic energy.
Hagakure: Ohmigod! No way! You have to tell us everything!
Mineta: Midoriya! You lucky sonuva-!
Kaminari: Yeah man! How'd you do it!?
Iida intervenes, moving the classmates away from the two.
Iida: Now, now everyone. Give Midoriya and Ashido their space. If they wish to answer your questions, I'm sure they will when they're ready.
Izuku puts up a hand in reassurance.
Izuku: It's okay Iida. There's actually something else we need to say.
Mina: We started dating three months ago but we wanted to wait on telling everyone until we were ready.
The class continue to stare at them.
Sero: Seriously? That long?
Hagakure: No wonder you two were acting strange!
Momo: But what I don't understand is why you felt the need to hide it from us in the first place?
Izuku and Mina look at the others with guilty expressions.
Izuku: We thought if you knew, it'd be awkward and embarrassing for us to deal with. But we've come to realise that it was wrong for us to think that.
Mina: Yeah, we're sorry for not telling you all the truth. That said, a few of you nearly caught us a couple of times, I'm sure someone would've found out sooner or later anyway.
Kaminari looks at them incredulously.
Kaminari: Wait a minute… So that time outside the dorms and I thought I saw you two kissing, that was real!?
Mina: Yep! We were so scared you'd say something! Luckily for us your brain was too fried to remember any of it.
Kaminari. Jiro pats him on the back to comfort him.
Kaminari: You jerks! I thought I was losing my mind! It was seriously stressing me out!
Jiro: There, there Jammingwhey.
Izuku and Mina smile apologetically.
Kaminari then shrugs his shoulders.
Kaminari: Eh, it's fine. I guess you made fools out of all of us then, didn't you?
Tsuyu croaks, interrupting him.
Tsuyu: Not everyone. I saw them kissing as well. I later asked them about it and they told me the truth.
The class look at her with baffled expressions though Tsuyu appears to be indifferent.
Kaminari: You knew!? And you didn't say anything!?
Jiro: Not cool Tsu.
Hagakure: Yeah! You had the juiciest gossip of all time! How could you not say anything!?
Tsuyu: It wasn't my place to tell.
Bakugo scoffs at them.
Bakugo: Tch. Who cares if Deku and Racoon Eyes were sucking face!?
At that moment Todoroki looks at the couple, perplexed.
Todoroki: Sucking face? I get that you two are in a relationship with each other and that you act differently than how you would normally would, but isn't that extreme?
Izuku: Uh, I-I don't think you're supposed to take that literally Todoroki.
Bakugo then smirks, pointing at a surprised Momo.
Bakugo: Hey, why don't you ask Ponytail? She's smart, she'll explain it for ya.
Flushed red with embarrassment, Momo reaches over to scold the teen.
Momo: B-Bakugo! That is an extremely inappropriate thing to say!
It soon devolves into an argument between the two with many others pitching in. Meanwhile, Ayoyama leans down to whisper into Uraraka's ear.
Ayoyama: How about you Uraraka? Are you okay with all this?
Uraraka is taken aback for a minute.
Uraraka: Huh?
She then smiles.
Uraraka: Absolutely! We talked about it earlier and it's all good, no hard feelings!
She then turns to grab the attention of the class.
Uraraka: Hey everyone! Why don't we start the movie now?
And so the class gather around the television and watch the movie together.
With everyone engrossed in the film Izuku turns to face Mina, who is sitting next to him.
They smile at each other.
Izuku: You know, it went better than I thought it would.
Mina: I told you so. What about you though? How are you feeling?
Izuku: Pretty good. I think everything's going to be alright.
He then kisses her on the cheek.
Izuku: Love you.
Mina: Love you too.
Izuku then wraps his arm around Mina's shoulder and she nestles into his side. The two then turn back to the television, awaiting the next development.
