Jacqueline = 15 yrs old
Elena = 12 yrs old
Jeremy = 10 yrs old
Jacqueline quickly realised that being 15 years old now, meant there was gonna be some changes. Though she easily welcomed those changes. Cause while turning 15 meant she was officially nearing the end of puberty, Jacqueline was an early bloomer anyway. Jacqueline had always considered herself a pretty girl. Now though, as her body took on its more womanly shape, she decided she was sexy.
And that did nothing to inflate her confidence that's for fucking sure!
Over the last year Jacqueline had let her raven black hair grown even longer. Now it fell to her hips in alluring ringlet curls. Her green eyes were as bright as they ever had been. Jacqueline's face was more defined in her bone structure, now that the roundness that kids have on their faces was gone. Her signature look of a little smudged eyeliner on her waterline looked a lot more sultry than it previously had looked.
Jacqueline was unashamed to say she was one hot woman and proud of it!
...Well, technically she's still only 15, so maybe woman is the exactly the correct word.
Nevertheless, Jacqueline knew she looked good and much older than she really is. It was the curves her body had developed that she could thank for that. Her breasts had tripled in size and gone from a C cup to a DD. Her waist was small, as is her height. However she has an ass that has no business being on a girl her age. Despite the natural hourglass body type, Jacqueline was extremely fit. She worked out everyday and her favourite thing to practice is self defence skills.
Boxing to be more specific.
It's a brutal sport but one that Jacqueline excels in.
Her defined abs and muscles were evidence to that. As is the fact that she could carry both Elena and Jeremy in her arms with ease. And though Jeremy found that idea quite entertaining... Jacqueline was not going to actually put that into practice.
Jacqueline had come to the conclusion that Jeremy was a little too much like her sometimes.
Jeremy is only 10 years old, but the kid had already developed a similar attitude to Jacqueline. Quick to anger and to strike back with some nasty language - at least Jeremy hadn't traded physical blows yet. Though Jacqueline knew it was coming next if Jeremy was anything like she had been...
Somehow Jacqueline wasn't sure how to feel about Jeremy turning into a mini-Jacqueline.
Whereas Elena, being 12 years old, is very much the average self absorbed teenager already. It was all about who was more popular and what bitchy thing Caroline had done to them that day. Jacqueline decided that for once she really appreciated the fact Elena was an adamant rule follower. A good girl had never been more appealing to be around than when your essentially responsible for one... Which was exactly why Elena had demanded that Jacqueline be in attendance to the school board meeting.
It was all about the next year when the kids start 7th grade and move up to the high school for classes. Each student was supposed to bring a parent or a caregiver to hear the information. So here Jacqueline was... hearing information she already knew.
But it was important to Elena and so Jacqueline kept her snarky and bored comments to herself.
"... and we suggest that you each take more time to specifically to speak with your child" the principle advised after explaining the change in schools
In a small town all the grades were lumped together where there was room for them. Kindergarteners were taught at the local pre-school to get them used to learning and not playing all the time. Then the grades 1 through 6 were taught down at the middle school. And 7 through 12 are in the high school building which is the biggest of the three schools.
The high school is also were Jacqueline currently attends 10th grade.
In her sophomore year.
Jacqueline could of told Elena all about high school. Though she also understood why Elena wanted to figure it out herself. The point of Elena attending this meeting wasn't necessarily to get information - it was to go through the entire process of transferring to High school.
To experience the steps like everyone else does.
Like going to the school dances or the science fair - to Elena, this it's just one of those fundamental experiences every highschooler should have. No matter how redundant the information being given was Elena seemed to just be glad to be experiencing it all. At least that's what Elena had told her when Jacqueline informed her sister it was going to be boring. Which it was. Though Elena hadn't been worried cause her friends were going to be there too.
Jacqueline looked up and held back a sigh. Speaking of Elena's friends...
"Hey Elena!" Caroline chirped appearing with her mom, Elizabeth Forbes, in tow.
"Liz" Jacqueline have the woman a nod, ignoring the surprise look on Liz's face at seeing Jacqueline here not Miranda or Greyson.
The towns people were so naïve it made Jacqueline sick sometimes. Honestly, she was just lucky that nothing worse had been going in behind closed doors. If they had been in danger then they'd of been on their own. Cause nobody in Mystic Falls would notice anything that's going on unless it hits them on the face.
Jacqueline kissed Elena's forehead before she stood and went to make herself a cup of coffee. "Be right back" she said, smiling as Matt Donovan approached Elena. Wandering over to the next room where the machine was, Jacqueline went about her business making a coffee. That meeting had been so boring Jacqueline was genuinely contemplating chugging the shit of pure coffee. Like a shitty version of an expresso?
Sheila Bennett cleared her throat and Jacqueline looked up at the woman who was frowning deeply at her. "Are you okay, Shelia?" Jacqueline asked
"I can feel your magic" Shelia stated almost accusingly as her eyes narrowed. "Dark magic pools in your blood, waits for you to let it free"
"Shit" Jacqueline laughed, "I think you've had too much to drink. C'mon sit down" she tried to help the clearly drunk older woman to a seat
Sheila moved away though, her eyes softening. As if she only just realised Jacqueline had no idea what the fuck she was jabbering on about. "You shouldn't exist... you - your an abomination" Shelia whispered sounding almost sympathetic. "No witch should ever have access to such magic! It's evil!" Shelia stated firmly
Jacqueline frowned but allowed her eyes to widen. Not giving away her true understanding of what Shelia was saying.
"You can never free that power, Jacqueline Gilbert. Never! It defies nature" Shelia snapped and then backed away looking like she was disgusted at the mere sight of Jacqueline
Jacqueline let out a breath.
What the fuck was that?
Of course, Jacqueline knew about witches and the existence of the supernatural world. She knew better than to think on a supernatural-hub that anyone claiming to be a witch was lying. After all, who goes out of their way to seem crazy?
Not Shelia Bennet.
No, Shelia is a real living witch of nature or whatever moral code Enzo had said the witches lived by. Some code of nature and ancestry that basically made them think they were superior to everyone else. Apparently the power goes to a lot of witches heads...
What Jacqueline was confused about, is the fact that a witch was saying she has magic!
And she knew for a fact that she wasn't experiencing any magical abilities. Certainly not the ability to control dark magic or whatever the fuck Shelia had implied. Maybe she'd ask Enzo about it later anyway? Shaking off her thoughts for now, Jacqueline was about to head back into the meeting when she heard a commotion from down the hall. Heading in that direction she stood against the doorway watching the three boys interact. The two older kids were being assholes about Tyler sketching.
She didn't really care if they were arguing or not...but what quickly caught her attention was how angry Tyler got.
Tyler Lockwood.
Jacqueline got the feeling in the pit of her stomach that something wasn't right with the boy... not something specifically bad or good - just different. When Tyler threw a sloppy punch that hurt him more than the other kid, she decided to intervene. "Boys!" Jacqueline snapped as she stood tall and unimpressed. The kids attention all snapped to her in various different reactions. Tyler looked like he knew he was in trouble, he was familiar enough with Jacqueline to know he didn't want to be on the receiving end of her anger. The other two kids looked wary and one sheepish.
"The fuck is going on?" She demanded harshly making one of them jump in surprise.
"Nothin'" Tyler mumbled
Jacqueline stated him down before her eyes flickered to the two other kids who were nodding earnestly in agreement. Deciding to mess with them a little she let a sweet smile cross her face, "Okay" and moved to let them pass.
When the first kid moved for the exit her hand clamped down on his shoulder harshly.
He jumped under her grip and looked up to see her face no longer friendly.
"I catch either of you two being little shits again and I'll put your think head through the drywall" Jacqueline threatened letting her voice drop to a dangerous sneer
"I-okay!" The boy squeaked
Jacqueline stared him down in silence, thoroughly unnerving all three boys. Then, suddenly, as if a switch had flipped she smiled sweetly and let them go.
Tyler looked at her expectantly as if waiting for the lecture to begin.
However, that wasn't what Jacqueline had in mind. "That was a sloppy punch, dude" Jacqueline stated with a look of indifference and a little amusement.
"Thanks" Tyler scoffed angrily
"You're angry" Jacqueline pointed out almost thoughtfully as she watched just how easy it was to get him angry. Jacqueline had always been good at reading people - it was an uncanny gift. And she knew emotional damage when she saw it. For whatever reasons Tyler Lockwood was a kid hurting. Jacqueline wanted to know why, she wanted to know what has a kid like him hurting?
What could possibly be making him so angry all the time?
...She had an idea though.
Everyone knew that Mayor Lockwood liked to look at women that aren't his wife. Jacqueline had been surprised and disgusted when she caught the Mayor looking down her shirt a few weeks ago. From the look of unashamed lust in his eyes it wasn't hard to believe he did more than just look.
"No shit" Tyler snapped
"You're spending the day with me then" Jacqueline announced leaving no room for argument.
Shocking Tyler so much that it was a comical sight. "I - what?" Tyler frowned, "Why?"
"I'm gonna show you how I usually spend my Sunday's" Jacqueline told him with a shrug and nodded her head for him to follow.
Dutifully Tyler complied but it didn't ease the confusion off his face. He snorted, "I don't need to see you getting freaky with your newest boyfriend".
It was supposed to be an insult, she could tell by the harsh-fullness in which it was delivered. But Jacqueline only chuckled in amusement before she spotted Elena. "We're leaving" she announced to Elena who pouted at Bonnie
"Can I-" Elena began but Jacqueline was already waking away
"Mrs. Lockwood" Jacqueline caught the woman's attention. "I'm borrowing your son for the day. I'll have him home by dinner" she told the woman not waiting for a reply before clamping a hand on Tyler's shoulder and steering him away.
Tyler started laughing as soon as they were out of earshot from his gaping mother. "That was cool!"
"Yeah, well I'm about to get a lot cooler, Kid" Jacqueline smirked at him before unlocking the car doors. Getting behind and the wheel, she waited as Tyler slipped into the passengers seat. Elena was still taking her sweet ass time and Jacqueline was getting impatient. Honking the horn, Jacqueline watched as Elena, Matt and Bonnie jumped at the sudden sound.
Tyler snickered beside her as Elena rolled her eyes before climbing in the backseat.
"God your so embarrassing!" Elena whined. "Did you really have to do that?"
Jacqueline shrugged, "I told you were we leaving - not moving the conversation to the parking lot"
Tyler chuckled at that while Elena poured again.
"Why is Tyler here?" Elena demanded giving Tyler a glare as she noticed him.
"It's none of your business, Elena" Jacqueline swiftly shut down the questions she knew were forming in Elena's mind. Both kids looked at Jacqueline in surprise but she kept her eyes on the road pretending not to notice.
Elena was surprised Jacqueline would be doing anything with Tyler Lockwood and not telling her about it.
And Tyler was surprised someone was treating him as more than some shallow, asshole kid. Especially when Elena Gilbert was around.
"So?" Tyler asked as Jacqueline led Tyler him into her bedroom. "You really are going to show me you getting your freak on"
Jacqueline snorted and laughed before throwing a black duffel bag at him. Watching as Tyler caught the bag with a confused frown. "That's a V card I won't be responsible for taking" Jacqueline snarked back at him
"Hey!" Tyler protested offended at being called a virgin.
Jacqueline gave him a look with a raised brow knowing that he only just turned 13 years old. There was no way he wasn't still a virgin and she knew it. Rolling her eyes she pointed at her bed, "Sit and Stay" She instructed before slipping into the bathroom.
"I'm not a dog!" Tyler yelled
She laughed as she changed into her gym clothes; a black sports bra and matching black athletic pants. Slipping on tennis shoes Jacqueline put her hair in a tight bun and walked back out of the room. Thankfully Tyler had stayed where she left him and was staring at her in curiosity.
"Are you actually going to tell me what we're doing?" Tyler grumbled
Smirking she answered, "I'm gonna show you how to throw a punch. That hit from before hurt you more than the other kid" she stated factually
Tyler stared at her in surprise, clearly this hadn't been what he thought she was dragging him along for. However when she rose a brow at him he nodded and quickly hid a small smile. And while she'd seen the smile, she didn't comment. Instead she beckoned him to follow and then drive them to the boxing gym just outside of town. The drive was only about 30 minutes but it was well worth it. The building she pulled up to didn't look like much from the outside. It almost looked like a barn type of warehouse but she knew that it had the open running track out the back.
Jacqueline pushed open the doors and smiled at the receptionist who spent her days drooling over the view and getting paid for it.
"Wow!" Tyler muttered in amazement as they walked into the gym.
Jacqueline nodded knowing she'd had a similar reaction when she'd first found the place. It had actually been one of her gym teachers at school who suggested the sport to her after she'd gotten in a fight. Of course, Jacqueline had looked Into it, cause fighting for sport?
That was most certainly something that appealed to Jacqueline.
The gym was huge and it smelt of sweat and a tinge of blood. The open windows helped air the place out but she didn't think anything would get the smell out at this point. Although the good memories that the smell elicited prevented her from being too bothered by it. There was so much gym equipment that it could cover Jacqueline's entire house. But it was the various boxing rings and training mats that caught Tyler's attention.
"What is this place?" Tyler asked
Jacqueline smirked, "It's a boxing gym" She informed him, leading him over the training mats. "And I'm gonna teach you how to fight. But it'll also help with managing the anger. You want that?"
"Yeah" Tyler nodded eagerly, "Yeah, I do"
She hummed and began explaining the stretches and warm ups he should do before ever getting in the ring. Tyler took the knowledge eagerly and was actually great at correcting his form quickly after she pointed it out. Jacqueline could tell by the look in Tyler's eyes to at this and any physical activity he could do would all help manage that anger.
...It lingered in his eyes; the anger.
And now it was gone.
Tyler smiled and panted in exhaustion as sweat dripped off his forehead and onto the mat. He held the punching bag still and looked over at her with more gratefulness in his eyes than she had ever seen directed her way before. Tyler seemed to struggle with words for a minute but she understood what he was thinking.
"I know" Jacqueline told him and offered a rare smile full of understanding
Tyler nodded and they continued with the lesson until he was tiered out and hungry. Jacqueline chuckled and grabbed their bag. She promised to bring him back any times he wanted and continue teaching him. As she drove them back to her house Tyler talked a little about how he isn't all that close with... well, with anyone.
She could sympathise with that though.
While Jacqueline had people around her that she cared for - namely Jeremy and Elena - she didn't really have anyone there for her. Other than Enzo, but that was complicated...
When they arrived at the Gilbert home Jeremy and Elena were doing their own things. Jeremy bound down the stairs hearing she was there and practically demanded her pay him attention. Elena still had judgy eyes as she watched Tyler be comfortable around Jacqueline. And Jacqueline, somehow, managed to juggle the three young kids conflicting needs at once. Catering to Jeremy having missed her today, Elena's pouting about not being included and also working on ensuring Tyler was comfortable.
After making dinner the four sat in the dinning room taking.
By the end of it, she had the three kids laughing in hysterics. As she retold a story of when she kicked Mason Lockwood's ass in basketball.
"...he looked so angry! But he was standing there and making this face - I though he had shit himself!" She chuckled remembering the event.
"Oh my god!" Elena giggled
Jeremy nodded in agreement as he laughed loudly. "What did you do next?"
A sly smile worked its way onto Jacqueline's face as she kept the three in suspense. "I told him he could have the video I took of the game for 50"
Tyler snorted in laughter and held his sides. "I'm never gonna let him forget it!" Tyler proclaimed
Jacqueline raised a brow when her phone started ringing. She pulled the device out of her leather jacket pocket and flipped it open to see Tyler Lockwood's name flash across the screen. "Hey!" She answered
"Uh, Jacqueline, hey" Tyler sounded uncomfortable and uncertain - two things that she never really associated with the younger kid.
"What's up?" Jacqueline prompted
"I got in a fight at school... not a bad one or anything. Mostly yelling and flipping a few chairs" Tyler sighed, "Think you'd be able to come pick me up?"
"Sure" Jacqueline told him easily, "Be there in 5" and with that she hung up and headed for her car. Today she had been job hunting instead of attending school like she was supposed to be doing. In fact, Jacqueline was contemplating dropping out and just getting a job but she knew that most jobs want at least a grade 10 certificate. She wasn't sure what she'd do but thought considering her options was the best plan as of now.
As she jumped in her car, Jacqueline quickly drove to the middle school.
Tyler was out front kicking gravel around as he waited. She honked the horn and watched him chuckle before getting in. "Do your parents know?" Jacqueline asked
Tyler grimaced, "Nah. But it won't be long"
Jacqueline snorted and shook her head, she didn't want to imagine Carols reaction. Though she didn't think the Mayor would care that much... Carol sure would.
"You want me to take you home to get a head start in that shit?" She offered resisting the urge to laugh but not bothering to prevent a little smirk.
"Nah" Tyler sighed
"Right. Well, we can go to the Grill then" she informed him. "I'm hungry"
Tyler didn't protest and Jacqueline hit the feeling he was just glad not to be facing his mom yet. "Cool" was all he said.
"What was the commotion about anyway?" Jacqueline asked not bothering to attempt to soften the question. Tyler didn't seem the type to need or appreciate it.
He shrugged, "Jake was talking shit" he grumbled. "I got mad. When Jake just laughed it just got worse..."
Jacqueline nodded knowing that she, herself, was an explosive person as well either you got basically no reaction or you got a dangerous one. They just didn't seem to be a middle ground for people like them. It was hard to control. Not even Jacqueline had it under control yet and she had been trying for years.
...but she found having more enjoyment in her life helped.
"You gotta learn to hit just as hard with your words" Jacqueline informed him casually as she pulled into the parking lot if the Mystic Grill.
Tyler looked surprised by her answer, "Aren't you supposed to say to be the better man or don't say anything to give them a reaction?" He questioned dryly as if he'd heard that speech too many times.
Jacqueline shot a glared at Tyler as she got out of the car. "Do I look like the type of person to say some stupid shit like that?" Jacqueline huffed as they walked into the Grill.
"No, you don't" Tyler conceded, "But aren't you supposed to try and make me a better person than you. Like learn from my mistakes and all that?"
Sighing she sat in the booth seat across from Tyler and snorted. "I'll have you know that I'm awesome! You can't get any better than this" Jacqueline grinned and held her arms out wide for dramatics.
Tyler chuckled and rolled his eyes but still looked a mix of relieved and confused at her apparent 'odd' reaction.
Sighing she rested her face on her hand and stared, looking bored, at Tyler before answering his unasked question. "I'm not going to lie to you. Anger is a part of who you are - that's a fact and it won't go away. I'm not the type of person to let things go all the time. There's a line that people don't cross with me unless they want their faces bashed in-" she paused and smirking
"Yeah. Everyone has heard of your legendary beat downs!" Tyler smirked nodding his head. "The whole town knows not to say anything too bad to your face"
"For good reason" Jacqueline admitted, "I'm an angry person. Explosive even. Most of the time I'm super chill, but cross that line of disrespect and I go nuclear"
"Like me" Tyler agreed looking that the information actually oddly comforted him. "Except I get mad over stupid shit" he added
Jacqueline shrugged a shoulder before nodding. "Yeah well your younger than me. Look point is - it's just as satisfying hurting someone through a few nasty words as it is hits" And she wasn't as ashamed to admit that as she probably should have been.
It was the truth after all.
Jacqueline would bet anything that most people who knew her anger would choose a verbal beat down over a physical one anyway.
"Really?" Tyler looked sceptical
Jacqueline hummed in agreement. "Yeah. Sure, it feels good to hit someone or something sometimes. But when someone gets in my nerves it feels just as good to have one snarky comment that shuts them up"
Tyler thought about it for a minute before he started nodding along. "I guess" he agreed. "Like that time the Fell kid was arguing with Chad and told everyone that Chad shit his pants in gym class. Chad looked like he was going to cry and everyone was laughing"
Jacqueline nodded despite the fact her comments hurt a lot more than being accused of shitting your pants.
...for a 6th grader though, that was probably bad.
"I like your advice so much better than moms" Tyler snorted
"I'm not surprised" she agreed shaking her head with a chuckle as she flagged down a waitress. "2 burgers and fries" She told the woman before she could say anything.
"It won't be long" the waitress smiled and left quickly to place the order
Jacqueline looked back at Tyler, "Look. Your welcome to hang at the Gilbert house whoever you want. Alright? You have my number as well..." she trailed off
Tyler nodded, "Thanks" he said sounding more sincere than he usually does.
Jacqueline nodded and dug in when their food arrived at the table. Tyler was a cool kid - she didn't mind him hanging around more.
