Jacqueline's lips quirked up into a small smile in response to Rebekah's comments on the clothing in the store. That had met this morning for breakfast at a small cafe in the mall. The subsequent hours they had spend shopping after that was inevitable.
"Honestly" Rebekah drew out in disgust. "There is a difference between trashy and risqué"
Jacqueline snorted.
"You don't agree?" Rebekah complained
"Oh, no I do" Jacqueline assured with a shrug. "But you can't tell me it doesn't make us look better in comparison"
Rebekah begrudgingly nodded at that. Cause it was true - when there's the poorly executed attempts at being sexy being compared to the successful attempts... it makes the success all the more successful.
Jacqueline flipped through the racks of shirts. This store that they had found was very much Jacqueline's style.
Beautiful leather jackets.
Tight tops that weren't trashy.
Jacqueline plucked another top from the rack. "Look at this?" Jacqueline called to Rebekah and held the shirt up for the blonde to inspect.
It was a mustard yellow colour - the neckline dipped into a shape and low V in the front. The middle was form fitting and flared out in a bell bottom end around the waist. The long sleeves were fitting until they reached the wrist where they similarly flared out.
Rebekah nodded in approval, "With a nice pair of jeans" she said
Jacqueline threw it in the small basket she had been carting around. As it turned out, she and Rebekah wore similar enough clothing to shop easily together. Rebekah wore a little more colours and a lot more jewellery. Where as Jacqueline wore a lot more leather and tighter clothing than Rebekah's preference.
However it was similar enough for them to agree more often than not.
And Jacqueline was having fun too.
She had never been too keen on shopping in malls until a few years ago. It had been Georgia's influence in Paris that really got Jacqueline to pick up the shopping habit.
Rebekah made it more enjoyable though.
The banter and conversation made up for the downside of having to make numerous trips to the car and back.
"This?" Rebekah called
Jacqueline inspected the brown jacket. It was one of those jackets that don't go all the way down your back.
"It would look good on you - with that black and white striped shirt you picked out" Jacqueline agreed
Rebekah grinned and the two went through the process of trying everything on. They had been doing this for the past 4 hours and Jacqueline was dead on her feet already. With as much as they had purchased today Jacqueline could have a new wardrobe in itself. Her bank account would of had her weeping if Rebekah hadn't compelled the expenses away.
Jacqueline had never been so glad for vampires!
Compulsion truly is a gift!
Logically Jacqueline was aware that she should feel some remorse. That compelling thousands of dollars in clothing is 'wrong'. However, Jacqueline didn't feel bad about it at all.
It was life.
There was a lot worse things for her to worry about. It wasn't like they were stealing or anything. They were just arranging for the store to pay for it.
It wasn't hurting anyone.
Jacqueline smiled at Rebekah as they walked out of the store with their newest shopping bags.
"Feel like an Iced Latte? I'll pay" Jacqueline smirked
Rebekah laughed but nodded in agreement. "Lead the way, Jaq"
Jacqueline would never admit to the fact that she liked being on a nickname basis with Rebekah. She hadn't had a real friend in a while and it felt good to have that again. Though Jacqueline couldn't remember a single friend who she had gotten along with as well as she does with Rebekah.
Still, it felt nice.
Especially while she's in Mystic Falls of all places. The small town had a way of making Jacqueline feel a little isolated and even more lonely. For as much as Jacqueline doesn't really like Damon Salvatore, she could silently admit she was thankful for him. At least she knew Damon would be there ready to serve as a distraction if she needed it. It wasn't like he had anything better to do in between pining after Elena and hating his brother for knowing he's pining after Elena.
Damon needs a distraction even more than she does.
Jacqueline approached the barista line with Rebekah. She looked at the menu and then at the waitress. "I'll have a large vanilla spice iced Latte and-" she looked to Rebekah
Rebekah hummed, "I'll have the same thank you. With cream on top though"
The waitress smiled stiffly, "That's coming right up. 10 please"
Jacqueline handed over the money and moved to wait for their drinks. Thankfully it didn't seem to take more than a few minutes before their names were being called.
"Have a nice day" the waitress smiled again
Jacqueline sipped her drink in delight. She swore there was nothing more delicious than iced coffee.
"Oh this is delicious" Rebekah looked surprised
Jacqueline chuckled, "You haven't had one before?"
Rebekah shook her head, "I'm still getting to acquainted with this century"
Jacqueline frowned in confusion, "What do you mean? Where have you been?" She asked as she looked at Rebekah's surprised face.
"I forgot you weren't in Mystic Falls" Rebekah said before sighing. "There are these daggers that can temporary kill me - like put me in a coma"
Huh?
Jacqueline frowned a little as she realised where this was going...
"I betrayed my brother in the 70s" Rebekah admitted softly, her voice tinged with regret and hurt at the same time. Rebekah sighed, "He reacted badly and daggered me. I was undaggered again after Nik killed our father"
"Your brother killed your father?" Jacqueline could honestly say she was shocked
Especially since Rebekah sounded happy about that fact.
Rebekah nodded, "My father was not a good man. When we were human he used to beat and bully Nik. Then when we turned, father found out that Nik wasn't his child. Father hated Nik and we all ran. We promised each other Always and Forever"
Jacqueline nodded softly and touched Rebekah's arm briefly in comfort.
Rebekah smiled sadly, "Father hunted us, determined to kill Nik and us if we got in the way."
"How long ago were you, uh, undaggered?" Jacqueline asked not sure if that was the correct word for it.
"About a year ago now. It was the night after Homecoming in Mystic Falls." Rebekah said before pulling a face and adding, "Though Elena stabbed me in the back at the next school dance. Elijah had to come and find me... I spent about a week daggered in the Salvatore basement"
Jacqueline frowned, "Elena did that to you?"
Rebekah nodded before casting an apologetic glance at Jacqueline. "I'm sorry" Rebekah said, "You're not Elena. You might be her sister but you weren't here... it's not your fault"
That was true.
Yet Jacqueline couldn't help but be angry about what her sister had done anyway.
Jacqueline sighed, "I'm sorry it happened nonetheless" she told Rebekah honestly
Rebekah smiled and touched Jacqueline's shoulder briefly in thanks. Jacqueline returned the brief smile before taking a sip of her drink. Jacqueline wasn't a person who smiled in public like that, and yet, she couldn't help it lately.
Jacqueline was a lot happier now that she had a friend.
"Come on" Rebekah said, breaking her out of her thoughts. "Let's get back to Mystic Falls. We'll need to be in town in time for school to get out, right?"
"Yeah" Jacqueline nodded happy that Rebekah had remembered something like that. "I pick Jer up from school everyday" Jacqueline added
They walked out to the mall together and reached Rebekah's car. Jacqueline put her bags in the boot with Rebekah's and their previous bags from earlier. Once they were in the car Rebekah started up the engine and pulled out of the parking lot.
Today had been nice, Jacqueline decided.
They both sat in comfortable silence until they were on the road again. Rebekah cast her a curious look.
Jacqueline rose a brow, "What are you thinking about, Beka?" She asked
Rebekah chuckled, "Well I was wondering why you insist on driving Jeremy to and from school everyday? Its a bit odd for a sister to do for her 16 year old brother"
Jacqueline looked away in thought.
She knew that, of course, but she didn't realise it was seen as weird. Jacqueline had simply always done that because their parents had been gone.
Jacqueline had become the parent in Miranda and Greyson's absence.
Jacqueline had been a little too young when Elena was born to form a parental bond with the girl. Jacqueline remembered the days Elena had mistakenly called her mommy but they had both been children at the time. Not to mention Miranda had only been abusing alcohol back then. Miranda had gone through enough good patches to establish a motherly bond of her own with Elena.
Jacqueline had easily fit back into the sister category in Elena's mind after that.
But those had been the days when Miranda had been able to function while drinking. Then everything went downhill after Jeremy was born. However, by that time Jacqueline had been old enough to properly care for a baby. Though she hadn't been given much of a choice with Miranda moving back to drug use.
"I'm sorry" Rebekah's hand on her own brought Jacqueline out of her thoughts again. Rebekah looked apologetic, "I didn't mean to pry"
"No" Jacqueline said quickly, "it's okay. Really... I've been thinking about it a lot lately" she admitted
Rebekah nodded, "About Jeremy?"
"I-" Jacqueline hesitated but then sighed and look at Rebekah again. "I love Jeremy like a mother loves a child"
"But your not his mother" Rebekah frowned
"No, I'm not" Jacqueline sighed and looked out the window as she admitted the truth. "Miranda - his mother and my adoptive mother - she was an alcoholic for all my life. A functioning alcoholic for the most part. It wasn't until after Jeremy was born that she moved onto drugs."
Rebekah gasped softly, "I didn't know"
Jacqueline nodded, "Mhm. Miranda had enough good days in the beginning of Elena's life to establish her role as mother. It was bad right after Elena was born and then it was okay for a few years. After Jeremy was a particularly bad few years"
"You were just a child then..." Rebekah shook her head sadly
"After Jeremy was born Miranda started taking drugs again. She was so strung out that Greyson didn't even want to be in the house anymore. I had to step up and care for Elena and Jeremy" Jacqueline admitted knowing she could trust the Rebekah with the information. "I kept him In my bed when he was a newborn. I bathed him, fed him, changed him. I saw his first steps, first words, first day of school..."
Rebekah nodded, "You were his mother even if you didn't birth him"
Jacqueline sighed
Rebekah reached over and squeezed Jacqueline's hand as Rebekah drove. Jacqueline appreciated the gesture and squeezed back gently.
"At the end of the day I'm his sister though... once he was old enough to realise that, he stopped calling me mommy and started calling me Jaq" Jacqueline admitted.
It was old pain that clutched her chest.
Being back in Mystic Falls again was starting to remind Jacqueline of all the memories she had buried. They had been buried for a reason and it hurt having them reopened again.
Her heart ached.
Cause Jacqueline had been Jeremys mother for nearly 8 years before he unknowingly broke her heart worse than anyone ever had. It had been a simple few words that caused her to cry in a way she hadn't done since.
She lost her baby that day.
The same day she gained a little brother.
Jacqueline had buried the hurt so deeply that she almost forgot about it. It had been necessary to bury it at the time. Cause no matter her hurt, she took care of him and Elena regardless.
Feeling nothing had been better than feeling the ache.
Rebekah's hand didn't let go and Jacqueline was grateful for that. "He loves you regardless of what role you play in his life" Rebekah assured kindly
"But he can just never know he broke my heart in a way nobody has ever been capable of breaking it" Jacqueline whispered
Rebekah sadly nodded.
Jacqueline sighed before shaking her head. She needed to her herself under control again. "Today has been fun" Jacqueline said honestly
Rebekah smiled, "It has"
"We have to do this again some time. Maybe breakfast again or something?" Jacqueline asked idly as she refocused on the present.
Rebekah nodded, "You could come over tonight? Movie night?"
Jacqueline nodded happily in agreement. "Sounds great" she agreed
Jacqueline parked out side Mystic Falls High School when the bell rang. She didn't have too many memories of attending school - since she didn't attend very often - but the ones she has were good.
It made her smile a little to herself
Jacqueline watched the door for Jeremy. She knew logically that this was the result of motherly instincts resurfacing after being away for so long... though she couldn't care.
Wouldn't care.
Not as long as Jeremy didn't mind the attention and her occasional hovering.
Jacqueline's lips turned up in a smile when she watched him search for her car in the parking lot. Jacqueline watched him as he said goodbye to his friends and jogged over her way.
Jeremy opened the car door and smiled as he got in. "Hey Jaq" Jeremy greeted happily
He had been a lot happier this last week than when she first got into town. Being free from Elena's mess had done wonders for him. Jeremy finally smiled and laughed like a 16 year old should.
Jacqueline almost faltered when he called her Jaq but she smiled through the pain anyway.
Coming back to Mystic Falls had unlocked a treasure trove of memories and feelings she didn't want to feel. This was one of them because she knew she wasn't his mother and never had been. Jacqueline knew it had been in her head.
It was her own fault.
Jacqueline should have corrected Jeremy from the beginning. She shouldn't have indulged herself in committing to the role of mom. If she hadn't... it wouldn't hurt now.
Jacqueline knew that.
She also knew that none of it was Jeremy fault. He had been a baby who had reasonably thought the woman who spent 24 hours a day, every day with him was his mom.
"Hey, Jer" Jacqueline said before busying herself with grabbing the chocolate shake and sandwich she had grabbed for him on her way. "Here. How was school?"
"Thanks!" Jeremy grinned as he took the drinks and food.
Jacqueline snorted fondly and started up the car as she pulled out of the parking lot. It wasn't really a long drive but she took the longest way home. If Jeremy noticed that, then he never mentioned it.
Jacqueline was glad.
"It was great" Jeremy said nodding happily. "That art program you got me enrolled in is amazing, Jaq! I don't know what strings you pulled to get me involved but its great!"
She knew he would love it.
Jacqueline had called a witch in her coven from New York - the founder of the art program.
It was mostly for kids in rich schools or from city schools. The resources sent to each student were worth more money than Jacqueline had, that's for sure. The trips and city functions involved in the program were with some pretty famous artists.
Mystic Falls had never had anyone involved in a program of that caliber before.
The principle had been shocked when Jacqueline walked into the school and informed him of Jeremys enrolment and acceptance. Though nobody argued the fact that Jeremys art certainly qualified for the program - it had just been a surprise in a town like this.
Especially after Jeremys troubles in school recently.
But those hadn't been his fault.
"I'm glad you enjoy it so much" Jacqueline smiled as she drove. "Risa says your work is already improving. She said she's genuinely impressed with how quick you pick up the techniques"
Jeremy blushed, though he tried his best to hide it.
"It's cause I like art" Jeremy said honestly. "It's half hard work and half enjoyment of the work"
Jacqueline smiled and reached over to squeeze his hand. "I'm proud of you, Jeremy" she told him. "I'm really freaking proud of you"
And she meant it.
Jeremy beamed, "Thanks, Jaq"
It was a bittersweet feeling, though she chose to focus on the good. Jacqueline had enough practice with not revealing her feelings, for him to never notice. She only had to put in a little effort to ensure she never faltered in her casual demeanour.
They pulled up outside the house.
Jacqueline got out and went inside with Jeremy hot on her heels. Jacqueline paused just inside the doorway and started picking up the shopping bags. Rebekah had helped her dump them in the doorway so she could pick Jeremy up in time.
"Is there anything left in the stores?" Jeremy joked
Jacqueline rolled her eyes, "It looks worse than it really is" she defended
Jeremy snorted.
Jacqueline huffed, "I had fun though... isn't that what counts?"
Jeremy gave her a look before rolling his eyes. "Sure. Whatever you want to tell yourself" he grinned, "What did you do all day anyway?"
"I hung out with Rebekah" Jacqueline smiled a little as she grabbed as many bags as she could. Jacqueline shrugged, "I'm going over to her place tonight"
Jeremy rose a brow, "You've been hanging out with Rebekah a lot"
Jacqueline paused, "Do you want me to stay home? I can cancel, it's not a big deal" she assured him easily. "Your more important than friends"
Jeremy smiled softly at her but shook his head. "I'm gonna do some more painting and homework tonight. I've had a lot to catch up on since you got me enrolled again" he huffed a little at that
Jacqueline held back a frown.
"Well we could stay in tonight. Pizza and homework sounds good to me" Jacqueline nodded easily.
For as much as she wanted to hang out with Rebekah, she would always chose Jeremy.
Rebekah would understand that.
Jeremy smiled, "As much as that sounds like a good plan... Jaq, no offence, but you barely have any real friends"
Jacqueline refused to react to the statement. It was the truth but it did sting a little when coming from him. Jacqueline sighed, "What exactly are you trying to say?" She wondered dryly
"I'm saying that even from what I remember when I was younger - you had friends but none of them really knew you" Jeremy said as he walked over to say in front of her as he explained. "You and Rebekah are real friends. I think that's good"
Jacqueline smirked
Jeremy pulled her in for a hug and Jacqueline held him as tightly as she could.
Her little boy was growing up...
Jacqueline sighed and kissed his forehead, as she always did. "I guess I can get out of your hair for a little while" she agreed before settling him with a stern look. "Don't get into trouble while one gone"
Jeremy chuckled, "I won't. I'm getting my life back on track" he said seriously
She was proud.
Jacqueline nodded, "After you graduate I'm gonna take you to meet the coven. I'll take you all over the world. Me and you, Jer, we'll spend a year or two going to see it all. Anything you want" she promised
Jeremy hugged her again and held onto her tightly. "Love you" he murmured into her shoulder
Jacqueline smiled, "Love you too, kid"
When they let go again she took her bags up to her room. Jacqueline emerged from her room again and found Jeremy going over his homework. Jacqueline sat down at the dining table and started helping him through it. She might not have spent too much time in high school but Jacqueline was definitely smart.
Not a genius, but smart.
Smart enough to help Jeremy with his homework.
It wasn't until about 3 hours later that her phone buzzed. Jacqueline read the message from Rebekah checking their plans. Jacqueline cast a look at Jeremy, wondering if she should stay and help him. But Jeremy gave her a knowing look that she refused to acknowledge and instead texted Rebekah back.
Jacqueline had to admit she didn't like that fact that all these resurfacing memories had thrown her off her game.
She sighed.
Jacqueline didn't bother changing as she texted Rebekah that she was on her way soon. Jacqueline placed an order for pizza to be delivered in a few hours before getting ready to go.
"See you later!" Jacqueline yelled to Jeremy before walking out the door again.
REBEKAH POV:
Rebekah had been happily going through the clothing she had gotten today. She dropped Jacqueline off at her house a few hours ago. Rebekah wondered how Jacqueline had gone with a Jeremy this afternoon...
Jeremy had been a nice kid.
Rebekah remembered that Jeremy hadn't really had much involvement other than being used as a pawn. Nik had threatened to hurt him to Elena once or twice, she recalled.
Not that Elena had been all that fussed.
Nik had definitely learnt that threatening Stefan or Damon worked better for him when it came to Elena.
It was sad.
Rebekah had been surprised when she realised the amount of care Jacqueline held for Jeremy. It made sense now though - especially considering the way they had grown up. It was no wonder Jeremy idolised Jacqueline so much.
Jacqueline was the only real mother Jeremy had know.
Rebekah still didn't like the way Jacqueline seemed to be in pain though. She couldn't imaging the pain Jacqueline was going though. It took strength to push that aside and still dote on the boy regardless of her feelings.
Sighing she pulled out her phone and debated texting Jacqueline.
Rebekah didn't want to seem too clinging. She'd never really had a friend like Jacqueline before though. Honestly, Rebekah hadn't really had a friend since her human days. Particularly because of them being on the run from father and particularly because of her being daggered a few times. Though mostly it was the fact that Rebekah just didn't know how to connect with someone.
She found trusting difficult.
Not to mention how often her insecurities get in the way.
Jacqueline didn't seem to mind any of that though. In fact, Jacqueline had never once made Rebekah feel stupid or vein or not enough.
Rebekah was grateful.
Jaq. Are we still planning on a movie night tonight? - Rebekah
Rebekah bit her lip as she waited for confirmation of their plans. She hoped Jacqueline wouldn't cancel but she knew Jacqueline was looking forward to seeing Jeremy.
Yes! I'll be there soon, Beka. - Jacqueline
Rebekah smiled and glanced at herself in the mirror quickly. She was still wearing her clothing from earlier. Nodding to herself, Rebekah walked out of the room and checked if the snacks she had purchased were still in the kitchen.
They were.
Rebekah went around the house and made sure she had everything they would need. She figured they could sit in the second entertainment room. Rebekah didn't particularly want her brothers to intrude.
"What are you doing, sister?" Nik asked from his spot on the couch where he was reading.
"None of your business, Nik!" Rebekah snapped unnecessarily
Elijah rose a brow sternly, "Now, dear, Rebekah I do believe Nicklaus was simply inquiring as to what you plans for the night were"
"Are you going out?" Kol piped up curiosity. "Ooh out sister the strumpet"
Rebekah crossed her arms arms her chest. She looked only at Elijah as she answered their questions. "Actually Im having a friend over tonight. Jacqueline and I are going to watch a movie together" she said calmly
Elijah nodded easily
However Kol only grew more interested with the mention of the BloodWitch. "Jacqueline?" Kol asked excitedly, "That is perfect sister! It will perfect opportunity for me to-"
"Elijah!" Rebekah protested
Elijah settled Kol with a stern look, "Kol you are to leave the young woman alone. Jacqueline is here as Rebekah's guest"
Kol only grinned
Rebekah resisted the urge to sulk because she knew Kol was nothing if not annoyingly persistent. Rebekah didn't want her night with Jacqueline to be disturbed by the likes of Kol's incessant questioning. Not to mention the fact that she didn't want Jacqueline to fall into bed with her brother and have Kol ruin her friendship with Jacqueline!
Rebekah wouldn't allow it.
She looked at Nik, half expecting some kind of protest by him too.
Though Rebekah was surprised to find Nik didn't look bothered by Jacqueline being invited here. It was odd considering Rebekah had never known Nik to like very many people. Usually he hates everyone, especially the people in Mystic Falls.
"What?" Nik asked noticing her look
Rebekah blinked warily, "Whatever your planning, Nik-"
He looked offended by the assumption. "I'm not planning anything!"
Rebekah narrowed her eyes
Nik scoffed, "Jacqueline is feisty" he said before shrugging and adding, "Just not always in a bad way" That was about the highest compliment anyone not family would get from Nik.
Rebekah was shocked.
Yet she was also extremely happy that her new friend managed to be on Niks good side. Rebekah intended to keep it that way. She didn't want Nik to interfere with herself and Jacqueline's friendship.
The door bell rung.
Rebekah walked over and opened the door. Smiling when she found Jacqueline on the other side. "Come in" Rebekah instructed easily
Jacqueline looked around, "It looks different without the party set up" Jacqueline hummed
Rebekah nodded in agreement.
"Well if it isn't the one and only Mancinelli BloodWitch" Kol chuckled as he walked into the room. Kol flashed Jacqueline his most charming smile.
Rebekah glared at Kol.
"Kol, hello again" Jacqueline nodded in greeting
Rebekah looked at her friend, trying to tell what Jacqueline was thinking. Rebekah was surprised to find that Jacqueline didn't look like she cared too much about Kol. Jacqueline wasn't charmed nor was she trying to murder Kol.
That was good.
She just had to keep it that way now.
"Would you like to watch a movie now?" Rebekah asked
Jacqueline looked at her and nodded, "Sure. What are we watching?"
Rebekah smiled and led the way into the entertainment room. Kol's look of disappointment was not lost on Rebekah that way it was on Jacqueline. She smirked at Kol as she past him.
"How does Avatar sound? Apparently it's a good movie" Rebekah shrugged not having seen it yet.
Jacqueline chuckled and nodded, "Sure"
Rebekah smiled and sat on the couch as she began the movie. Jacqueline sat beside her and got comfortable. She was glad that Jacqueline didn't feel too out of place here with her family around.
"How was everything with Jeremy?" Rebekah asked quietly
Jacqueline sighed sadly, "I'm so proud of him, Beka. A friend in New York started an art program and she got him a place in it. He absolutely loves art - he's really good too" Jacqueline explained
Rebekah listened and noticed that despite the fact Jacqueline made and effort to try and keep her face and voice neutral - her eyes shone with love and pride for Jeremy.
Only a mother's eyes could shine that way.
Rebekah smiled.
"Nik is always doing some painting or drawing or another" Rebekah said idly as she only half watched the movie. "I don't understand art the way Nik does... but i can tell it means a lot to him. I just like the way it looks" Rebekah giggled a little
Jacqueline chuckled too and nodded in agreement. "I can get by designing tattoos and I like looking at art - but im not very talented In that department either"
"You are talented in your Magic's though..." Kol asked as he walked into the room grinning at them both.
Rebekah glared.
Jacqueline chuckled, "Mhmm" she hummed in response to the question but offered nothing to encourage Kol further.
Rebekah sighed, "We're watching a movie, Kol. Must you interrupt?"
Kol smirked, "It sounded like you were having a conversation to me now sister" he retorted
Rebekah looked back at the movie screen and turned up the volume obnoxiously. "Well we're watching now. Go away"
Kol only took a seat though
Rebekah looked at Jacqueline who only seemed to find the bickering amusing. Rebekah was glad it hadn't scared Jacqueline off and decided to wait until Kol left again. She looked back at the screen and watched the odd movie.
"I find this movie particularly boring" Kol whined
Rebekah huffed, "Then don't watch it. Go bother someone else instead"
Jacqueline snorted.
Kol rolled his eyes, "How about we listen to the lovely Jacqueline talk about BloodWitches? Hmmm? Oh yes, that sounds fantastic!"
Jacqueline rolled her eyes, "You're going to miss the part with the pet dragon bird things" she murmured as she looked at the screen again.
Rebekah chuckled knowing Jacqueline wasn't that interested in the movie.
Kol frowned, "You actually like this movie?" He asked incredulously
Jacqueline looked at Kol with exaggerated wide eyes. "Of course" she nodded, "All BloodWitches love this movie!"
Kol looked curious, "Really?" He asked not realising the trick. Jacquelines face remained completely serious as she nodded and turned her attention back hit when screen. Kol frowned a little but once he realised Jacqueline was insisting on watching the movie - he sighed and turned to watch the movie as well.
Rebekah giggled.
Jacqueline shot her an amused smirk.
"Kol!" Elijah appeared in the room then. His eyes narrowing on Kol before moving towards Jacqueline as his lips quirked up in brief amusement.
"What brother?" Kol complained trying to hush Elijah. "We're watching the movie!"
Rebekah chuckled
"I believe I asked you to leave Rebekah and her guest alone" Elijah stated simply yet seriously. "Please remove yourself from the room"
Kol pouted and grumbled a few profanity's but did as Elijah had asked.
Elijah smiled a little when he looked back at them again. "A pleasure to see you again, Jacqueline"
"You too Elijah" Jacqueline gave a small smile and a nod of respect.
Elijah then disappeared from the room, hopefully to make sure Kol leaves them alone from now on. Rebekah turned back to Jacqueline and smiled. That had been quite amusing to watch. She was glad that Jacqueline hadn't been upset or uncomfortable by Kol's insistence.
She had found herself a good friend, she was sure of it.
