QUARANTADUE

Jacqueline sighed as she lay in bed. She'd been up for about an hour now and her mind was whirling with thoughts. This last week had been crazy and painful. Jeremy had completed the transition and was carefully learning from Rebekah and Elijah.

Jeremy was dealing Vampirism relatively well though.

Thankfully!

They had discussed Jeremys progress so far and apparently it was better than Rebekah expected. Though Jeremy didn't yet have a daylight ring - he was well on his way to earning one. Elijah had thought it would be better for both Jeremy the public for him to be used to his bloodlust before he was able to leave the house. Jeremy didn't want to kill anyone and Elijah was teaching him to feed without killing.

It was a process.

Jeremy was getting the hang of it though and it wouldn't be long before he could have that daylight ring.

Jacqueline had already made it for him.

She was proud of Jeremy and how well he was dealing with all this. Jacqueline had been a little worried he'd accidentally kill someone and then regret his choice. Elijah and Rebekah were preventing that though.

Jacqueline was glad.

That wasn't the only thing that had been happening this week though. Discussion about Klaus turning Tyler into a hybrid was also occurring. Apparently Klaus was completely open to the idea. Jacqueline couldn't help but be a little wary since she knew how well Tyler and Klaus got along. She wasn't sure how to feel about Tyler learning from Klaus.

Though she supposed It wasn't completely bad.

Klaus was a decent guy.

Even though Klaus tried to pretend he didn't feel anything for anyone - it wasn't true. Klaus was very protective of his family. He may be a paranoid dick a lot of the time but that was mostly directed at his enemies.

And family wasn't an enemy.

Though Jacqueline knew if someone crossed Klaus there would be hell to pay for it. Daggerings we're getting off easy compared to how Klaus reacted to those he didn't care about. She knew it would be good for Tyler to become a Hybrid but she didn't want him to be in debt for it. Jacqueline wasn't yet sure how Klaus viewed Tylers role in their mismatched family. She didn't want to encourage it only to have the hybrid status be used against Tyler as it had other Hybrids.

Jacqueline sighed as she shelved that particular issue for later.

At least she and Rebekah were as good as they always had been. Rebekah was the one thing Jacqueline knew would be constantly good in her life.

Jacqueline was loving their BloodBond...

It was amazing.

However, Jacqueline had been informed that the coven now wants to meet Rebekah. Apparently considering Rebekah is BloodBonded to a BloodWitch she's automatically part of the Coven. With the fact that they'll outlive most of the witches at the coven - she and Rebekah are being asked to participate more. To became part of the elders within the Coven.

Jacqueline hadn't told Rebekah just yet.

She had barely had time to think about bringing it up.

Rebekah would be required to learn the Covens history and the history of Witches and BloodWitchs. Just as Jacqueline once had when she was with the Coven. Rebekah would also be taught the Coven traditions and the traditions of the other vampire elders. To prepare Rebekah for being part of the Coven in the future.

Elders were an important part of the Coven.

They were highly respected.

The elders were BloodBonded couples in which one of them were vampires. The vampirism keeps them both alive for a long time. Elders weren't allowed to be in charge of the Coven - it's too much power for one person. However they guide the Coven leader and ensure history is taught to new witches.

It's an honour.

Jacqueline just didn't know if Rebekah had any interest in it.

She sighed.

Jacqueline was starting to feel trapped in Mystic Falls. She was ready to leave again but she had no idea where they would or could go. Cause there was no way she would leave Jeremy or Tyler behind. Jacqueline didn't really know how much longer she could stay in this town.

Mystic Falls brings nothing but trouble.

Jacqueline rolled over as she failed once again to get comfortable. It had been a rough night for her again. Jacqueline hadn't had much sleep the past week anyway.

"Sleep" Rebekah murmured from the other side of the bed.

Jacqueline sighed, "I can't"

Rebekah's arms reached out and pulled Jacqueline closer. Jacqueline sighed in comfort and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend as they cuddled in bed. Though she doubted she would be falling back to sleep again.

It was morning anyway.

Early, as in 5 am, but morning nonetheless.

"I can feel you thinking" Rebekah commented, "Your going to get a headache"

She snorted, "There's a lot on my mind lately" she said in way of explanation.

"What specifically has you up thinking so early today?" Rebekah asked as she rested her chin on Jacquelines shoulder. The blonde looking at Jacqueline with a small concerned frown.

"The coven wants to meet you" Jacqueline said, "And teach you about Coven history and traditions. They want us to eventually be part of the elders"

Rebekah raised a brow, "The elders?"

"The BloodBonded couples who are BloodWitch and Vampire pairs. They live longer and are there to guide the Coven and Coven leader in decision making" Jacqueline explained, "There's more to it than just that. I don't really know - I guess that's what they want to explain to us"

"And you want to be an elder?" Rebekah hummed

Jacqueline shrugged, "I never want to abandon my Coven. I'll always have magic and it'll only get stronger the older I get. I wouldn't mind being involved forever"

Rebekah nodded, "Then I would like to meet them too. I recall your memories of them. I think it would be an enjoyable experience learning your history. learning about our bond and the likes"

Jacqueline was relieved.

She kissed Rebekah contently as one more thing on her mind got sorted out.

"Can we stay in bed forever?" Jacqueline whined unashamedly

Rebekah laughed, "I wouldn't mind it... though we do still have a few hours before we need to be up"

Jacqueline hummed as she tilted her head to the side and kissed Rebekah. She couldn't help but smile against her girlfriends lips. Unsurprisingly the kiss quickly began to develop, their lips moving against each other, tongues expertly exploring. Jacquelines hands moved down Rebekah's back as they shifted even closer against each other in the bed.

"I love you" Rebekah said as they broke the kiss for air. "Don't worry about about everything so much, It'll work out in the end"

Jacqueline hummed and closed her eyes as Rebekah kissed a path down her neck.

She knew she worried too much sometimes. The only reason was cause she didn't want Tyler or Jeremy to have to worry about things. They deserved to keep as much of their childhood as they could have. Jacqueline would take however much worry needed if it meant giving them that.

But that didn't mean she couldn't relax at times as well.

Jacqueline couldn't think of a better way than by spending some time with Rebekah. They hadn't had sex in a few days anyway.

Rebekah's hands pulled in the hem of her shirt. Jacqueline sat up some and pulled the top off to reveal her naked body. Rebekah groaned, "You're beautiful" her girlfriend said

Jacqueline smiled.

She usually slept with just an old t-shirt if anything at all. Jacqueline preferred It that way. Though she knew Rebekah preferred to wear a shirt and shorts to bed.

Rebekah quickly shed her own clothing.

Jacqueline sat up against the headboard, smiling as Rebekah straddled her lap. Jacqueline grinned, "I get why you like me straddling you so much" she commented idly as she appreciated the position.

Rebekah chuckled

Jacqueline and Rebekah emerged from her bedroom in time to make breakfast. Their morning fun had been great in allowing them to reconnect. It hadn't been all that long since they were intimate but after the week they'd had - some comfort was needed more than ever before.

Jacqueline started making coffee as Rebekah pressed waffles on the waffle iron.

The smell and noise seemed to wake Tyler and Jeremy. Not that Jacqueline was surprised by that particular fact. It happened every morning and today was no different. "Morning" Jacqueline greeted the boys

They both grumbled sleepily.

Rebekah produced a tall glass of blood and wordlessly gave it to Jeremy. Jacqueline smiled as Rebekah sat beside Jeremy with her own glass of blood. Jacqueline was glad they we're making go an effort to make it a more 'normal' action. Jacqueline hoped that by constantly making sure Jeremy never felt the need to hide that he would find it easier to be more accepting of his new vampire status.

There was nothing wrong with it.

Jacqueline didn't want Jeremy to end up like Stefan - denying his nature and needlessly suffering for it.

And for what?

Jeremy was learning control and acceptance. If he couldn't accept himself then how could he ever be comfortable enough to control it.

"Thanks" Jeremy smiled at Rebekah

The two had grown closer as Rebekah spent more time teaching Jeremy. Jacqueline was glad to see it too. She knew Rebekah was enjoying doting in Jeremy too. Jeremy was soaking up the attention as he learnt without issues.

"Whats for breakfast? Is that pancakes?" Tyler asked peering over at the stove

"Waffles" Jacqueline said with a smirk

Tyler stood and started making 2 mugs of coffee as Jacqueline finished the waffles. Their routine was different now but they adapted with ease.

"We can go to practice more compelling tonight, if you'd like" Rebekah said to Jeremy

Jeremy nodded, "Will Elijah be going as well?"

"Elijahs gone after Klaus" Jacqueline spoke up remembering Elijahs call last night. She shrugged when Jeremy and Tyler gave her questioning looks. "Apparently whatever that threat Klaus was talking about might need more help than expected"

Rebekah sighed, "Indeed. Though it was likely to be expected from a threat originating in New Orleans"

"New Orleans?" Jacqueline perked up at the mention of the city.

Tyler frowned, "It's not got anything to do with the Pack does it?"

Jacqueline shrugged, "Why don't you give them a call and find out, Ty? They might have some information on what's going on" she suggested

Tyler nodded.

Jacqueline figured she too had some contacts she might reach out to now. New Orleans was a place she has vested interests in. She didn't want the city to be too dangerous with Davina there and Tyler's Pack.

Maybe Davina or Marcel would know?

Oh!

Marcel!

Jacqueline looked at Rebekah quickly as she recalled the man that might make matters more complicated. "Maybe we should give them a heads up" she ventured carefully

Rebekah frowned before realisation dawned on her face. "I forgot..."

"Me too" Jacqueline hummed

Jacqueline sighed and she Rebekah tabled the conversation. It wasn't one they needed to have in front of Tyler and Jeremy. Instead they redirected the boys focus back to food again. Food was always enough to distract the two boys. Jacqueline plated up the food for all of them and they ate at the table together like always.

Jeremy was still adjusting to the taste of food after his transition.

Apparently it doesn't taste the same in the beginning. Since blood is the only real nutrients that Jeremy needs it's all his body wants for the first few days. Though with a steady fill of blood his body can consume regular food without issue.

Jeremy still has that choice though.

Jacqueline had made sure he knew that if he wasn't feeling like eating, he didn't have to. Though Jeremy had assured her he liked eating food just as much as he had before. Now that the small taste bud adjustment was over he was back to having the same breakfast as all of them. Although Jeremy had forgone coffee or juice for a few glasses of blood now.

It was the new normal.

Tyler had asked a few questions about what it was like transitioning but otherwise hadn't been bothered.

Jacqueline was glad for that.

When breakfast was done and the boys got saddled with washing dishes. Jacqueline and Rebekah headed back to their room to talk.

Jacqueline sat in the bed with a sigh.

"Do you think we should call Elijah?" Rebekah asked and sat beside her on the bed.

Jacqueline nodded, "I do. There's no way they won't find out. They should be prepared and have all the facts"

Rebekah sighed, "I agree. Do you think this threat against our family is serious? It has to be if Elijah went to help, right?"

Jacqueline nodded silently.

There was no way it was good news if Elijah had gone as well.

Jacqueline wondered if maybe this was one of those problems the entire family should help with. There is safety and strength in numbers. Especially when everyone in your family is powerful vampires or witches. Jacqueline couldn't deny she missed New Orleans. She knew Tyler missed the Pack. It was a great place to live and Jacqueline knew it could be good for them.

Davina would be close.

Jeremy would be able to enjoy a life that balanced supernatural and teen things.

Tyler would be close to the Pack again for full moons.

Jacqueline and Rebekah would be able to help deal with whatever fallout there is after Marcel is discovered. Not to mention they could help whatever threat is posed at their family.

Maybe she was crazy thinking it could work?

Jacqueline rolled onto her stomach as she lay down on the bed. She looked up at Rebekah who was watching her questioningly. "Baby..." Jacqueline started hesitantly, "What if we went to New Orleans?" She asked

Rebekah rose a brow, "To help? We couldn't leave Jeremy for too long" Rebekah answered in confusion

"No what if we moved to New Orleans?" Jacqueline clarified

Rebekah's eyes widened

"Just listen. We could finally get out of Mystic Falls... Tyler would have the Pack, Jeremy would be close and more exposed to other Vampires his age. Davina would be close too. We'd be there for Klaus and Elijah" Jacqueline listed as she sat up again

Rebekah nodded slowly in agreement, "I do want to leave Mystic Falls"

Jacqueline hummed already having know that. The plan had been to wait until Jeremy graduated school. However, it wasn't like he couldn't do that from New Orleans.

Rebekah smiled then, "I always did feel the best when in New Orleans" she agreed

"You think we could really do it?" Jacqueline asked with a grin

Rebekah laughed and pressed a kiss to her lips as she nodded in agreement. "I think I'm completely in. We just have to convince the boys"

Jacqueline bit her lip at that particular thought.

"I think they might be just as eager to leave Mystic Falls as we are" Rebekah said as she brushed a few stray hairs behind Jacquelines ears. Jacqueline leaned into Rebekah's touch and hoped her girlfriend was right.

A fresh start would be amazing.

They'd finally be able to leave the drama behind and be a family. An odd mismatched supernatural family - but family nonetheless.

Now would be perfect timing.

It was like everything had just fallen into place suddenly.

"Do we talk to them together or separate?" Jacqueline wondered as she wrapped her arms around Rebekah's neck. Her eyes seeking an answer from her girlfriend.

"I think we mostly only need to talk to Jeremy" Rebekah stated after a second of thought. "Maybe on his own. Tyler would likely be excited to make the move. We wouldn't want that to Influence Jeremy... if he's not ready to leave..."

"Then we have to accept that" Jacqueline nodded understandingly

She wouldn't upset Jeremy.

If Jeremy wasn't yet comfortable with more change then she wouldn't push it. That didn't mean it would never happen, just that it wouldn't be now.

Rebekah leaned forward and kissed her soundly. Their lips moving against the others, and parting to allow their tongues to tangle. Jacqueline blissfully hummed when the kiss deepened. Her head tilting to allow better access. They continued kissing until Jacqueline pulled away for air - catching Rebekah's bottom lip between her teeth as she did so. Rebekah's hand ran down Jacquelines back and pulled them even closer. She hummed in approval as her mouth moved to Rebekah's neck.

Her girlfriend tilted her head to allow her more access, mouth prying in a soundless gasp. Rebekah's hand threaded through Jacquelines hair to encourage her to continue.

Jacqueline gently nipped at the skin on her girlfriends neck - wordlessly seeking permission.

"Please" Rebekah encouraged breathlessly

Jacqueline nodded and tilted her one neck. She moaned when she felt Rebekah's mouth on the pulse in her neck. Jacqueline reached out with her magic and allowed magic to painlessly cut Rebekah's skin. Her teeth sunk into the cut as she pulled blood into her mouth. Jacqueline blissfully groaned in pleasure as they shared blood.

Rebekah drank from Jacqueline at the same time. Both of their arms tightening around the other.

They each took one more pull of blood.

Jacqueline licked the excesses as she allowed it to heal again. Her own neck healing just as fast. Jacqueline smiled at Rebekah when she looked at her girlfriend again. "I love you" Jacqueline said

Rebekah smiled, "I love you too"

They leaned forward again, kissing as Jacquelines fingers danced their way under Rebekah's shirt. The advantage of vampire speed meant they only parted for a second to shed their clothes. Jacqueline chuckled as they fell down onto the bed again. They both continued kissing and allowing their hands to explore as heat grew between them.

It never took much though.

However, never could get enough of each other.

Jacqueline grinned when Rebekah took control. Allowing her girlfriend to be on top this time without complaint. Really, what was there to complain about anyway?

Nothing.

"Beka" Jacqueline encouraged as Rebekah trailed a slow path of kisses down her stomach.

Rebekah chuckled but complied and quickly reached between Jacquelines legs. Jacqueline sighed happily and hooked her leg over Rebekah's shoulders. She propped herself up in her elbows as she watched her girlfriend. Jacqueline swept the blonde curls out of Rebekah's face and threaded her fingers through them.

Jacqueline arched her back in pleasure at the feeling Rebekah was eliciting.

All coherent thought left her mind right then and there.

Jacqueline rested her head right under her girlfriends chin. Her hand cupped Rebekah's breast and she idly kneeded it as she lay wrapped in Rebekah's arms.

"We can't possibly continue having sex any longer" Rebekah said but wore a smirk regardless

Jacqueline hummed, "You can't handle it anymore?" She teased

Rebekah slapped her ass in response and they both chuckled. Though Jacqueline removed her hand from Rebekah's breast and wrapped them around her girlfriends neck. Rebekah dipped her head to meet Jacquelines lips halfway.

"Mhmm. I love you" Rebekah said smiling in contentment

Jacqueline grinned, "I love you too"

"We need to get dressed again" Rebekah said eventually but made no move to let Jacqueline go. They remained cuddling in bed despite the fact they knew they had things to do today.

What was one more hour?

Jacqueline sighed, "We need to talk to the boys about moving" she agreed and reluctantly rolled off of Rebekah.

Rebekah reached over and grabbed Jacquelines hand, interlacing their fingers. "Are you sure you want to move to New Orleans? We could go anywhere?" Rebekah asked bringing their hands to her mouth for a gentle kiss.

Jacqueline hummed

"You don't want to go to New Orleans?" Jacqueline asked

"I do. I always have loved New Orleans. It was the only place my family had truly been happy for a long time" Rebekah said, "I just don't want you to go there just because of my brothers or because it's convenient"

Jacqueline nodded.

That was a fair point but it wasn't why the city was appealing.

Jacqueline rolled onto her side and looked at Rebekah's rumbled yet glowing appearance. She smiled and slid her hand to Rebekah's hip, pulling the blonde closer again. "I always get this feeling of home when in New Orleans. I think it's the perfect place for us. Not just because of convenience"

Rebekah nodded.

Jacqueline pressed a gentle kiss to Rebekah's shoulder as they smiled at each other.

This decision would hopefully be good for them as a family. They'll be able to have a fresh start and leave behind all the bad things that had happened lately.

"Come on" Jacqueline sighed as she pulled Rebekah on top of her again. They kissed briefly before they got up from the bed. "Let's take a shower first"

Rebekah nodded.

Jacqueline and Rebekah made relatively quick work of taking a shower together. They washed each other and kissed a few times but they didn't do more than that. After dressing again in their clothes they ventured out towards the living room again.

Jeremy was watching a movie in the living room.

Tyler was on the phone to Davina in his room.

Jacqueline pecked her girlfriends lips one more time before they went into the living room. "Jeremy. Can we talk to you for a second?" Jacqueline asked

Jeremy nodded and paused the movie.

Rebekah sat down on the couch across from Jeremy and pulled Jacqueline into her lap.

Jeremys eyes narrowed at them warily. "Whats going on?" He asked

"We were just talking-" Rebekah started easily, "and we had an idea we wanted your opinion on"

Jacqueline nodded, "We don't want to do anything your not okay with. There's been a lot of big changes for you lately"

Jeremy nodded slowly as he looked between them. "I've been learning a lot. Rebekah and Elijah are good teachers. I like that they're realistic and honest about everything" he said

Rebekah smiled, "I'm glad"

"None of that is going to change" Jacqueline assured, "But we were wondering how you would feel about leaving Mystic Falls permanently?"

Jeremys brows raised in surprise.

Jeremy was silent as he thought it through for a minute. He looked at them again curiously, "Where would we go?"

"New Orleans?" She asked with a shrug. "It feels like the place to go at the moment. Though that's not to say we have to stay there or anything"

Rebekah hummed in agreement

Jeremy nodded, "I think it would be good. All of us could live together in New Orleans?"

Rebekah nodded, "My family owns various houses down there. It used to be our home a few hundred years ago. We could all live there easily"

Jeremy smiled happily and nodded his head in agreement. "I think I can handle it. It's not like I'll be on my own anyway. It'll be a fresh start. Plus, Davina is in New Orleans and Tyler's Pack... and Tyler told me about all the vampires and Witches there are in the French Quarter"

Jacqueline chuckled, "So you want to move?"

"Yeah I do" Jeremy agreed

"Then why don't you tell Tyler we'd like to talk to him for a minute. Okay?" Rebekah smiled at Jeremy who sped out of the room.

They both chuckled.

"Looks like we're moving!" Jacqueline grinned

Jacqueline walked into the Plantation with raised brows. The building was even bigger than the Mikaelson Mansion in Mystic Falls had been. They could each have three bedrooms if they wanted them!

Rebekah really hadn't been kidding...

She squeezed Rebekah's hand as they walked further into the building. Building wasn't really the correct word for a place this big - and house just didn't do it justice. Mansion was a little bit of an understatement though.

"Wow!" Jeremy was looking around with wide eyes

Tyler looked just as shocked, "This place is huge!"

Kol chuckled as he walked in behind them all. "Rebekah did tell you it would be" he rolled his eyes. "I'm going to pick a room"

"Make sure it's not the ones Elijah and Nik have selected!" Rebekah yelled after Kol who sped up the stairs with a grin that mean no good. Rebekah huffed, "Knowing Kol that'll be the only room he wants"

Jacqueline smirked and nodded in agreement.

That sounded like Kol.

He was a pain in the ass and was always pissing people off but he's still family. Kol just shows his care in different ways than most do. After all, Kol hadn't hesitated in joining them when they asked him about moving to New Orleans.

Though he annoyed them the entire car ride here...

Jacqueline had put a privacy barrier around his seat for a while before he figured her out. Then he managed to find a way to make the barrier useless. That had kept him busy for 30 minutes...

At least they made it here with him alive.

It was an accomplishment.

"Nik and Elijah don't want Marcel to know where we're living" Rebekah said as they started for the stairs. "They rented rooms at a hotel for a facade"

Jacqueline hummed, "We should all stay here for a few days though. Get settled in and updated on the situation before venturing out there"

Rebekah nodded in agreement.

Rebekah led them up the stairs and then turned to the boys. "You two can have those rooms right there" she said indicating two rooms on the left hallway that was at the top of the stairs.

"Cool!" Jeremy grinned and then sped off to his room.

Tyler nodded and went to explore his own room. The suitcase each of them had brought was going to have to be enough for the time being. Jacqueline would teleport back and forth to move everything when she got the time. Driving it across the country was pointless when you have magic instead.

"This will be our room" Rebekah announced

Jacqueline allowed her girlfriend to pull her into the room.

It was just as big as Rebekah's room in Mystic Falls had been. Twice the size of Jacquelines own room in the Gilbert house. Jacqueline liked the room though, there was a huge closet and a nice window. Jacqueline reached out with her magic and made sure a privacy spell was firmly in place. She also made sure that their window would only be one way viewing.

Jacqueline smiled, "I'm glad that we made the move"

Rebekah nodded and moved closer to wrap her arms around Jacquelines waist. They both stood in front of the window and looked out across the property.

"Me too" Rebekah hummed before she lent forward and kissed Jacqueline.

Jacqueline smiled and deepened the kiss as her hand moved to tangle in Rebekah's blonde hair. They moved closer in response and continued Kissing passionately. Jacqueline moaned a little as Rebekah's hand settled on her ass.

Then a phone rang.

Jacqueline groaned loudly in annoyance but pulled her phone out to see if she could ignore it.

It was Klaus.

Sighing she answered, "What?" She mumbled less than pleased about the interruption.

"Your not in a very good mood, I see" Klaus commented

Rebekah chuckled quietly before pressing a quick kiss to Jacquelines mouth and leaving the room. Jacqueline sighed in annoyance as she watched her girlfriend leave.

This had better be good.

"I believe I now know why" Klaus snorted, "Sorry about the interruption love"

Jacqueline hummed, "Just tell me it's important"

Klaus chuckled, "Well I thought today was the perfect day to arrange Tyler's transition to a hybrid"

Jacqueline nodded silently and sat down on the bed. "Listen, I am completely okay with this" She began, "But I want to be certain we all understand what happens after this"

"What would that be love?" Klaus sighed

"I'll be removing the Sire bond" Jacqueline said knowing it was best to be straightforward about it. "If this is supposed to come with strings attached or expected to be payed back to you then-"

"It's not" Klaus cut her off with a grunt of annoyance. "I know you may find it hard to believe. I value family. You, Tyler and Jeremy are family now"

Jacqueline softened, "I didn't mean any offence by it. It's just that this is too important to Tyler for me not to make sure"

"I know" Klaus agreed, "I understand that. While I do take full advantage of the sire bond - I wouldn't do that with Tyler. I don't have a problem with you removing it, love"

"Alright" she smiled, "Thank you Klaus"

Klaus hummed, "Are you at the plantation already?"

"We are. Are you wanting to do this now?" Jacqueline asked as she stood and walked out of her new bedroom.

"Indeed. I'll be there in 5 minutes" Klaus agreed before hanging up.

Jacqueline smiled as she knocked on Tyler's door. She knew how much this would mean to Tyler. They had been talking about it and going over everything the past few days. Tyler was aware of everything that could go wrong and willing to risk it. Tyler seemed to be okay with being a vampire if it meant living forever and transforming at will.

Jacqueline supported his choice.

She always did.

"Yeah?" Tyler called out before he opened his bedroom door and gave her a smile. "Hey Jacqueline. This place is great. Did you see how freaking big this place is?"

She chuckled, "I did. Listen, Ty, I got a call from Klaus and he wants to turn you today"

Tyler's eyes widened before he nodded, "Really? That's great. I'm ready for this. Rebekah said she'll teach me anything I need to know"

Jacqueline nodded, "Well he's gonna be here soon"

Tyler smiled excitedly and followed her back downstairs. They barely had to wait before Klaus walk through the door with a blood bag in hand. Klaus gave them a grin, "Ready to become a hybrid, mate?"

Tyler chuckled, "Yeah"

"Good" Klaus nodded in approval before grabbing a glass and pouring some of his own blood into it. "Drink this so I can snap your neck"

Jacqueline rolled her eyes

Tyler downed the blood like it was a shot and pulled a face at the nasty taste. Tyler wasn't able to appreciate the taste just yet. In a few hours he would be looking at blood, like he looks at candy.

Jacqueline pursed her lips as Klaus flashed forward and snapped Tyler's neck.

"Sorry, love" Klaus chuckled

Jacqueline hummed and reached out with magic to poke at Tyler's consciousness. She didn't like seeing him dead even if she knew he would wake up again. At least with Tyler she'd been able to mentally prepare herself for seeing it.

Unlike she had with Jeremy.

Jacqueline and Klaus only had to wait an hour before Tyler spluttered to life again. Klaus handed over the small blood bag containing Elena's blood. Jeremy drank it easily before he coughed and hunched forward. His eyes flashed gold and his bones creaked and cracked a little. Teeth protruded his gums and Tyler panted as the transition happened.

Klaus smirked, "A true hybrid now mate"
