HAYLEY POV:

Hayley rubbed her stomach as she sat on the couch. She was bored but there wasn't much she could do about that. Werewolves weren't allowed in the French Quarter and she wasn't able to go anywhere on her own.

Not with so many people out to get her.

Hayley sighed.

She had gotten used to the odd family dynamic within the household. Hayley was actually starting to be glad this was the family her baby was born into. It would mean that she never had to worry about her baby being unprotected or unloved.

Being here even made her want to consider turning into a hybrid...

Klaus had already broached the topic. Apparently he doesn't have much blood left to create Hybrids. Hayley was surprised that he even considered keeping it for after she has the baby. Dying wasn't something she wanted to risk when pregnant - not even if she knew she'd come back.

Hayley was starting to see there was more to the man than she first thought.

She used to hate Klaus.

Now she wasn't sure what to make of the man. He's arrogant, rude, condescending and cocky but his eyes light up when they talk about their baby. His smile grows to the point he can't even hide it, though he does try. Klaus' amazement and care for the child in her stomach was obvious already.

He would do his best to be a good father, that much was clear.

Hayley didn't doubt he was capable of it either. Marcel was proof that he would and could be a father. Despite the fact the whole Marcel situation had taken a bad turn. Hayley didn't doubt Klaus wanted this baby.

Not anymore.

Especially not after finding out that Klaus' own father was an abusive prick. Hayley knew Klaus would make it his mission to be the opposite of his own father. After all, Hayley was doing the same thing with the poor examples she'd had growing up. She would learn from her 'parents' mistakes. But becoming a parent was rather nerve wracking... she felt the anticipation grow each month that passed. She was still scared about messing it up but every time she got to hear her daughters heartbeat made her more determined.

They might not exactly be good people... but they'd be good parents.

Especially with all these people willing to help out and welcome them into the family. It was odd - the big mix of people all living together - but their love and loyalty to each other was something to admire.

Hayley wished she could have had something like this for herself growing up.

Her daughter would never have to wish for that though. Hayley took comfort in that knowledge. The Mikaelson's might be powerful, dangerous, intimidating and sometimes cruel... but they're a family. Hayley couldn't have picked a better family to become a part of, to be honest, and it was worth all the risks.

It was the best thing that had ever happened to Hayley.

And she was determined to be part of this family too.

Jacqueline and Rebekah might sometimes come across as cold bitches, but they were right about her needing to make an effort. Hayley had observed both sides of these people - the united front of pure power they show others, and the carefree side they show in private. Rebekah had been right when she said that Hayley needed to embrace this family as much as they were embracing her.

She couldn't stay an outsider forever.

Not if this was going to work and they were all going to remain together after her daughters birth.

Hayley was starting to feel more comfortable though and she was putting in the effort. Especially when she noticed how much lighter Elijah looked and acted when she made an effort to joke and talk with him and his family. Hayley knew she was having a baby with Klaus... but she couldn't help the feelings she has for Elijah.

Though she wouldn't act on them.

Hayley didn't want to risk her baby or her own future by getting involved with Klaus' brother.

She sighed.

It was just so complicated sometimes...

A knock at the door had her eagerly pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind once again. She stood from the couch with a little difficulty and wandered over to the door. Despite the fact that she knew she shouldn't be answering it, Hayley was in need of a distraction from her thoughts.

"Hi? Can I help you?" Hayley asked as she opened the door. Coming face to face with a man who looked a little younger than herself.

"I'm Josh. Is Klaus here?" Josh looked a little desperate to talk to Klaus.

Hayley frowned as she tried to place the name of the man. Not sure if she should be playing oblivious or passing on a message. Josh, Josh, Josh... oh! The compelled vampire Klaus, Jacqueline and Elijah have spying on Marcel. Hayley recalled the name from her conversation with Elijah as he spoke about the plans and plots in a 'family meeting'.

"He's not here" Hayley told the vampire with an apologetic shrug of her shoulders.

"Where is he?" Josh asked pleadingly, "I've been trying to find him all day. Marcel knows that Klaus lied about where he lives"

Hayley sighed and shrugged her shoulders again at the question. Josh might technically be on their side, but she wasn't about to offer information to him. Not when she couldn't be sure that Josh could be trusted with the newest plot. "I don't know. I'm not his keeper, Josh" Hayley reminded the compelled vampire with an eye roll.

"Fine" Josh sighed, "Then just tell him to call me, please"

"Okay" Hayley nodded and shut the door

As soon as she shut the door, Hayley grabbed her phone and sent a message to Klaus that Josh was here asking for him. She figured it might be something Elijah needed to know as well and sent the same thing to him. Knowing that Jacqueline was off with Marcel - Hayley didn't want to risk the message being seen by the enemy.

A knock on the door caught Hayley's attention again.

She sighed.

"I already told you, Josh-" Hayley stopped when she came face to face within a woman instead. Hayley looked at the woman's smile and immediately knew something was wrong with it.

The smile was predatory.

"I'm sorry. Who exactly are you?" Hayley asked, trying to hide her fear as she stood strongly in the doorway. Hayley knew this woman wasn't a werewolf nor was she a vampire... that only left a witch as an option. Hayley didn't think that was a good thing though, not with the witches trying to kill her baby.

The woman smiled, "My name is Tonya"

"Right. Well, Tonya, is there a reason you're here?" Hayley muttered with a sinking feeling in her gut.

Tonya smirked, "There is, actually. I'm here for you"

Hayley went to slam the door shut but before she could, her vision blurred and her knees weakened. Hayley felt her body wanting to give into the unconsciousness but she willed herself to hang on longer. Though she didn't manage to stay awake longer then to feel herself being picked up from the floor. Not even her pure will to survive was strong enough to fight a witches magic.

This was bad...

Really, really bad.

Hayley could only hope that someone would return to the house and realise she's missing soon. After the way they'd all kept her on lockdown within the house - she knew her absence would raise immediate alarms.

Jacqueline plastered a smile on her face as she walked with Marcel over to his nightwalker club. Her smile wasn't as difficult to fake this time though - not when she could see the effects of their plan weighing on Marcel. He had been making excuses as to why she couldn't go see Davina, not knowing Jacqueline was living with Davina.

Marcel even had her attempt to 'test' the cloaking spell on Davina.

Apparently he just wanted to make sure that none of the witches could locate Davina. She had played the part of concerned friend well, despite her amusement over the lies.

Marcel still hadn't put two and two together yet.

Even Cami was continuing the façade of entertaining Marcel's interests. After the weekend Cami had spent at their house, all had been explained to the blonde. Jacqueline had placed protection spell on Cami so that the blonde could never be compelled again. That protection seemed to ease Cami's fears about being around them all.

Not that Jacqueline could blame the woman.

She remembered learning about compulsion in her teen years. It was a concerning thing, finding out someone could have the ability to control you so easily. It hadn't sat well with Jacqueline either and she couldn't blame Cami for hesitating.

At least now Cami didn't have to rely on vervain...

Magic was much stronger.

Now that Cami understood all of their actions and why they had done them, Cami agreed to play along. Not that the woman had to do more than keep up a façade of falling for Marcel's charms. The rest of their plan to orchestrate Marcel's downfall had been keeping the man too busy to think much about Cami.

Thierry was in 'The Garden' for 100 years.

The nightwalkers were angry at Marcel for the strict rein being enforced on them.

Klaus was constantly in Marcel's ear undermining his every move.

Rebekah was being particularly vicious in a few sly run-in's with her ex-lover.

Davina was 'missing' as well.

Marcel's world was slowly but surely crumbling around him and soon enough it will be gone. Marcel will be killed and the Mikaelson family would once again claim New Orleans. Elijah had already been making plans for ensuring 'The Faction' was united once again.

Jacqueline was just going to have to hold out for a little longer in her role as right hand to Marcel.

She needed to keep tabs on him.

When it came time for Klaus to offer Marcel's people a chance to either work with him or not... Jacqueline would hopefully be able to sway them towards Klaus. Especially since she had been making friends with a lot of the nightwalkers in the meantime.

It wouldn't be much longer now.

"What's the plan for today, Marcel?" Jacqueline asked him as they approached the nightwalkers bar slowly. "You look tiered" she said softly

Marcel sighed.

He rubbed a hand down his face before looking at her again. "I was approached by someone last night. A witch - says she had a vision that could change everything"

Jacqueline rose a brow in question.

"She told me some vague parts of her vision. I didn't believe her at first but then she told me to go ask Klaus about it. I went to the hotel he was supposed to be staying at... and he wasn't there" Marcel scoffed as he explained. "Guess where he's been staying? My plantation. The place where I was a slave as a kid"

Oh shit!

Jacqueline forced her brows to furrow slightly as she asked, "Why? Why would he lie about where he's staying?"

They were going to have a problem on their hands with this witch, Jacqueline knew it already. Whatever this witch's vision was, it couldn't be in their favour if the woman was taking it to Marcel. Jacqueline was going to have to be extremely careful around this witch. Otherwise this could turn out badly for them all.

Marcel shrugged, "I don't know. That's why I got one of my guys to call this witch to meet us"

"Alright" Jacqueline nodded easily, "Well lets hear what she's got to say then"

Marcel smiled at that.

Jacqueline didn't risk alerting anyone to what was happening at the moment. Instead, she walked into the bar alongside Marcel as she normally would. She scanned the room of Marcel's most trusted that had gathered. Jacqueline gave a small smile to the men and women she had made a point of becoming friends with.

Her eyes landed on the witch sitting in a chair at the middle of the room.

Jacqueline narrowed her eyes as she inspected the woman sitting before them. The magic coming from this witch wasn't particularly powerful. But having the gift of sight was more valuable then strong powers. The woman had short cropped red hair, pale skin that was a little dirty, and dark brown eyes that locked onto Marcel viciously.

That wasn't good.

None of this was going to be good...

"Alright" Marcel announced as he came to stand in front of the woman. "I'm here and I'm listening. What is it that you think I should know, huh?"

The woman smiled, "My name is Tonya Aleen. My gifts are sight of future and past. I had a vision when my Coven and I were hunting a werewolf that crossed into out town. I saw a girl - the daughter of a werewolf and a hybrid"

"A hybrid?" Xander questioned sceptically

Marcel sighed, "Hybrids are half vampire. They're dead - they can't have kids" he told the woman looking disappointed that this had been what Tonya had to say.

Tonya smirked, "Werewolves can have children. They're werewolves before they're vampires. A hybrid can procreate - isn't that right, witch?"

Jacqueline felt eyes instantly turn to her and knew she didn't have any choice but to agree. After all, it was true and by disagreeing she would be revealing her true intentions to Tonya. Jacqueline nodded slowly, "In theory... but what does this have to do with anything?" she countered, turning the attention back on Tonya.

Tonya nodded, "The woman in my vision gave birth to the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson. That baby can sire a whole new race of hybrids to be loyal to Klaus"

What?

Jacqueline was shocked as she realised the true extent of this baby's powers...

This put even more of a target on Hayley and the baby now. They would need to bring Klaus' Hybrids to New Orleans and have them literally guarding Hayley. Now that the vampires know about Hayley and the baby... they're not going to welcome the birth.

Not to a child that could sire a superior race.

Though Jacqueline knew that Klaus had no idea of the baby's potential for siring a race of Hybrids. They had all been expecting the baby to carry the werewolf gene only - the only thing that was ingrained in both parents DNA. The possibility for a baby to be born half vampire had easily and quickly been dismissed when the baby continued to grow in the womb.

Vampires can't age.

Therefore, a vampire baby wouldn't have been able to age and develop like a normal child.

Hybrids don't age either and so that had been dismissed right along with the idea of the baby being a vampire.

Apparently they had been wrong.

"This is crazy, man" Rafel said to Marcel as they all comprehended what Tonya had told them. "She's saying Klaus has a baby? The Hybrid isn't the fatherly type" Rafel scoffed

"No, he's not" Tonya agreed, "But he's been given another chance to sire a new race. After he realised he couldn't make any more Hybrids on his own - he welcomed a baby who gave him a new way"

Bullshit.

Jacqueline wanted to defend her family to these people who knew nothing about what they were discussing. Marcel was first hand evidence that Klaus could be a father and care for a child. Jacqueline herself had seen Klaus' more caring side.

Klaus would never hurt a child.

He may be the enemy in a lot of people's stories, but not even Klaus would use a child as a blood bag.

This is a bunch of bullshit.

"It makes sense actually..." Marcel spoke up, nodding vaguely as pieces fell into place in his mind. "I went to the plantation like you said and people were living there - a woman. He knew I would never look there for him"

Tonya nodded, "That was Hayley"

Marcel smiled at Tonya then and took a seat. "I think we have much to talk about then"

"We should do it in private" Tonya agreed, "I know how Klaus can compel even vampires"

Marcel nodded, "Yes. Actually I've experienced that betrayal recently. Alright, we can go talk someplace nobody will overhear us. Follow me" Marcel stood and led the way. He only stopped to put a hand on Jacqueline's shoulder with a nod. "I'll call you later when I have more information. I think I'm gonna need your help to make a plan" he said

"Whatever you need" Jacqueline agreed without hesitation.

Marcel smiled, "Good"

Jacqueline was about to let him go when she thought better of it. Her hand grabbed his and stopped him from passing to leave. Marcel raised a brow. Jacqueline stepped closer to him and lowered her voice to make sure Tonya wouldn't overhear what she had to say. Jacqueline gave him a serious look as she said, "Don't let Tony touch you. Not even a brush of the shoulders, Marcel. A witch like that... she can see in your head. She can see past, present and future. Just in case she has ulterior motives - don't risk letting her get some information she shouldn't have"

Marcel's face darkened at the implications.

Though he nodded quickly, trusting what Jacqueline had to say without question. Especially when it came to magic and powers that he otherwise wouldn't know about.

Jacqueline is a witch, after all.

"Thanks" Marcel said before giving a nod to Tonya who was waiting impatiently. Marcel led the woman out of the door, making sure to keep a distance between them without it being too obvious.

Jacqueline let out a breath of relief at that.

She hadn't exactly lied to him really, it was true, with just a simple touch the witch could see something. However, Jacqueline had bluffed about the witch being able to see his thoughts. Jacqueline couldn't risk Tonya seeing Marcel's future or her own involvement in a plot against him. There was no telling what Tonya would see and Jacqueline couldn't risk finding out.

Marcel was too paranoid to allow it to happen though.

He would keep his distance.

Jacqueline sat down and had a beer with Xander, not wanting to rush out while everyone was on high alert. Instead she settled for sending a message to everyone in warning.

Marcel knowing where they lived put them all at risk.

Especially if he connected Jacqueline or Davina to the Mikaelson's right now. They might be close to the end of this plot to undermine Marcel, but one wrong move and everything could go right down the drain.

They needed to be careful.

Jacqueline sighed and resisted the urge to smile when she felt Rebekah send a wave of reassurance through their bond. Honestly, she could hardly wait for all this plotting to be done. All Jacqueline really wanted to do was spend a nice day in public with her girlfriend.

They were in need of a date night.

Marcel is confident, cocky, and smiling like he knows something she doesn't.

Jacqueline didn't like it.

No, no she really didn't like it at all. Not when the smile meant something was about to happen to her family. Especially not when he was yet to inform her of it. All this whispering with Tonya could mean nothing good.

Her family was at risk.

Jacqueline was left with no idea what they were at risk of though.

It made her stomach churn.

Not even the calming waves of love and assurance Rebekah sent was enough. Nothing was going to rid Jacqueline of the pit in her stomach of impending dread. However, Rebekah's soothing emotions did remind Jacqueline to keep her composure.

She couldn't make a mistake.

Not in front of Marcel.

"Come on" Marcel grinned at her and beckoned her to follow him. "I'll explain everything. How about a little show first though?"

Jacqueline forced a chuckle

"You're quite dramatic these days, Marcel" Jacqueline said as she fell into step with him.

Marcel hummed, "A little theatrics can go a long way to sending a message. You of all people know that" he scoffed

It was true.

Jacqueline knew how to use a little dramatics to her advantage.

"Where are we going?" Jacqueline asked him as he led her down a few streets. New Orleans was beautiful in these late night afternoons. The sun was setting and the nightlife was beginning.

It calmed her slightly.

"To organise a run-in with an old friend" Marcel said vaguely but the smirk was still on his face.

This couldn't be good.

Marcel led them over to Rousseaus where they managed to catch Klaus leaving the restaurant. Marcel tampered down his smirk when he spotted Klaus. "Hey!" Marcel called out, "Where you been?"

Klaus paused and slowly turned to face them. He looked annoyed more than anything else.

"Not still mad about our tiff the other night, are you?" Marcel asked

"Water under the bridge" Klaus shrugged, easily hiding his annoyance.

"Cami is all yours if your interested" Marcel said, "I'm feeling like now's not the right time for me to pursue relationships. Life's all about timing, you know?"

Klaus tilted his head slightly as he tried to figure out Marcels angle.

Jacqueline felt her brow raise slightly as she watched them. Clearly Marcel had come here for a purpose. Something he wanted to say to Klaus that he would slip in between all the pleasantries. It had to be something important for such a dramatic display.

"Speaking of which... I dropped by your place the other night to commiserate over a drink" Marcel said pointedly, "But I must have just missed you"

"Oh. The Palace Royale didn't suit me" Klaus said, as if the information was no big deal.

Marcel was trying to call his bluff.

They had lied about where they were living. They had attempted to keep up the facade of that lie. Now that they were caught - they needed to minimise damage. Thankfully Klaus was fully prepared for the question. Jacqueline had texted everyone when she realised Marcel knew.

"No" Marcel drew out with a smirk. "I mean your other place..."

Klaus smiled tightly.

"Interesting location to put down your roots. Same plantation where I was a slave. I guess that's why you never invited me over, right?" Marcel drew out cockily

"Well how rude of me" Klaus gave a sharp smile in response. "I'll speak with Elijah. I'm sure he'll be pleased to host you and Davina for the evening, Hmm?"

"Good" Marcel chuckled and shook Klaus hand. "I look forward to it"

Klaus easily shook Marcels hand with an almost friendly looking smile. However as soon as Marcel brushed past him, it dropped from Klaus' face. Klaus met Jacquelines eyes just as a wave of pure panic took her breath.

Rebekah.

Jacqueline panted a little and grabbed Klaus arm, forcing him to feel what she was.

She gave him a look.

Klaus' face twisted up in displeasure at the feeling of dread and worry. He didn't usually feel things like that very often. He never appreciated feeling them when she projected onto him. However, Klaus gave a slight nod of understanding.

Jacqueline let him go in relief and hurried to catch up with Marcel.

They couldn't say anything, knowing Marcel would overheat if they did. Projecting that worry was the only way she had to let him know something wasn't right. At least Rebekah wasn't hurt or in trouble. However, with Marcel and Tonya now teaming up... Jacqueline worried the intense feelings were over Hayley and the baby.

If Tonya had done something to them...

There was going to be hell to pay for it. Jacqueline alone would turn this town to ashes. She couldn't imagine what Klaus and Elijah would do.

Nothing would survive it, that's for sure.

HAYLEY:

Hayley groggily groaned as she regained consciousness. It took a few seconds for the danger to register in her mind. Her eyes flew open in alarm as she remembered being taken from the plantation home.

Shit!

Hayleys eyes darted around the room. It was an old crappy looking hut. The type of hut that you knew belonged in the goddamn middle of nowhere!

Fuck.

Shit.

Hayley tried to sit up but found her hands were bound. Furrowing her brow she tried to loosen the rope that tied her to an immovable iron fireplace. Her heart sunk in her chest when she realised she wasn't strong enough. Hayley was completely at the hands of a crazy witch.

And possibly without any help on the way...

Oh god.

Hayley had never really been envious of witches before. Once she had learnt to accept her werewolf's gene she had no desire to be anything else. However, right now she really wished she could have had some magic to send an SOS out for help.

It would have been handy.

Especially since everyone seems to want to kill her and the baby lately!

Hayley whimpered and let her head fall back against the wall. She was scared, really freaking scared, and there was nothing she could do. There was no way to fight and Hayley hated that. She hated being trapped and restrained. All she wanted to do was have her baby and be a mom... was that too much to ask?

"You're awake"

Hayleys head whipped around to see that crazy redhead witch from before. She growled low in her throat.

The woman chuckled, "You filthy dogs really are something else"

Hayley ground her teeth together in anger. "What is this place? Who are you?" She spat out the questions

"My name is Tonya" the witch said. "I'm here to test a little theory. You see... I had a vision about you. I was hunting down werewolves with my Coven and I had a vision about a little pregnant wolf in New Orleans"

Hayley didn't like where this was going.

Or the glint in Tonyas eyes.

"I have seen your baby girl" Tonya said with a disgusted scoff and shake of her head. "A Hybrid baby - a true abomination"

What?

Hayley felt like her head was spinning as she comprehend the witches words. Her baby girl was going to be a Hybrid?

"But I thought it was imposible. A vampire can't age... so how can my baby be part vampire if it's growing?" Hayley asked as she recalled the conversations they all had at dinner one night.

This pregnancy was unprecedented.

They'd all wondered if the baby would be human or not.

A vampire can't age though. Hayley had thought that meant it was impossible for her baby to be a vampire or Hybrid. They had all thought her baby was going to be a werewolf since it was in both parents DNA.

But a Hybrid?

It did explain the healing abilities though...

"Now. We're going to do a little experiment as proof to Marcel" Tonya spoke as if it were no big deal.

Hayley got the impression it was a huge fucking deal though. She had no idea what was about to happen but she dreaded it. This witch was crazy all on her own. Getting involved with Marcel was even worse though. Hayley had seen what the vampire had done to the witches in the streets.

It was cruel.

Tonya muttered something under her breath causing the door to burst open.

Hayley jumped.

Tonya only smiled sharply and bent down to the man who had crumpled to the floor at her feet. "This is Dwayne. He's a werewolf from the local Louisiana Bayou - Marcel had him delivered to me to serve as his proof of my vision. It seems Marcels witch is sceptical of my intentions"

Marcels witch?

That had to be Jacqueline!

Hayley felt slight relief in Jacqueline knowing she was missing. Especially if it meant Jacqueline knew who had taken her already. Hayley was sure that she just had to wait for someone to get here. However the relief was short lived as she realised she might not have that long.

"If you know who I am... who the father of my baby is... then you know they'll kill you for this" Hayley threatened. "The Original family will hunt you down and kill you"

It was true.

Hayley had no doubt in her mind about that.

While she may be becoming part of that family, she was still aware of how ruthless they are. Nobody crossed them and got away with it.

Nobody.

And they had all taken a special vested interest in ensuring her and the baby remain safe.

"What makes you think I'm afraid of them?" Tonya laughed. "I have Marcel and his vampires on my side. If I die then Marcel will return my body to my Coven - I'll be resurrected again"

Shit.

A witch who doesn't fear death?

Hayley scoffed, "If you think Marcel is anything compared the Originals then you don't know anything. Klaus could rip Marcel and his army apart. The Originals can't die, you stupid witchbitch!"

Tonya paused and looked at her curiously, as if searching for something.

Hayley didn't know what it was about but she prayed she bought herself time. That weird tingling feeling was back across her skin - the one that she felt when Jacqueline did the unliking spell. Hayley had felt it when Jacquelines magic seep into her skin. She just hoped that tingling feeling now was the same thing.

Jacqueline could be doing a locator spell?

That meant they'd be here soon.

Hopefully.

Tonya shrugged and pulled out a syringe. "Either way. I'm following through with my plan. I can't let an abomination be born"

"No! No! No, no, no" Hayley squirmed as Tonya approached with the syringe. "Don't do this! My baby isn't an abomination, it's just a baby!" Hayley screamed

Tonya pushed the syringe into her veins.

Hayley yelped as Tonya took a vile of blood from her stomach. Pain immediately seized Hayley as the needle was stuck into her stomach. Tears welled in her eyes but she refused to let them fall in front of this crazy bitch.

She prayed her baby wasn't hurt...

"Ahhhh!" Hayley screamed in agony

Tonya pulled out the needle without a care as for Hayleys pain. The witch injected the blood into Dwaynes neck and then killed the man.

Hayley flinched.

"Now that wasn't very difficult, was it?" Tonya mocked as if Hayleys pain and fear was amusing.

"You psycho bitch!" Hayley spat

"Now, now, little dog" Tonya smirked, "Dwayne was a werewolf who died with your baby's blood in his system. My vision told me that this will turn him into a Hybrid. Dwayne will serve as my proof to Marcel, ensuring my protection for killing you and the baby"

"I am sick of you witches and your whacked out dreams!" Hayley hissed, "It's just a baby!"

Once again some witch had a dream and regarded it as fact. Hayley knew better than to think a Hybrid was an abomination. Nature didn't allow for anything to exist that shouldn't exist. It didn't mean she would let her daughter sire people. Though the ability didn't make the baby any more of an abomination than a werewolf or a witch.

The entire Supernatural world is proof that weird and magical things happen all the time.

Her baby was no different.

Hayley wouldn't allow some witch who had a bad dream kill her baby.

Tonya didn't seem to care much about what Hayley thought of her vision though. The witch turned her attention to Dwayne. Muttering something under her breath, Tonya woke Dwayne from the dead. "Good. Now feed from Hayley" Tonya instructed.

Dwayne heaved as he breathed in air again.

"Feed!" Tonya yelled

Dwayne gave Hayley a sad look - like he didn't really want to do this. However his eyes shifted to her pulse and he became entranced. Hayley imagined it was how she looked when she got ice cream after her cravings had started. Like the food in front of her was heaven on earth. Hayley whimpered as he lunged for her throat. Screaming as piercing teeth tore into her skin.

This was how she's going to die?

Oh god.

"Stop! Please, stop! Stop!" Hayley screamed and thrashed around. She was no match for the strength of a Hybrid though.

Then, suddenly, Dwayne fell back to the floor.

Hayley carefully opened her eyes when she heard him let out a roar of pain. At first she thought it had been Tonya but then she realised his eyes were glowing...

He's completing the transition.

He's a Hybrid.

Hayley gasped quietly as she realised at least one thing Tonya said was true - her baby is a Hybrid.

Suddenly, the entire hut started shaking as a red light glowed through the hinges and windows. Hayley swallowed thickly as she realised Tonya was now just as scared as she is. But Hayley had seen Rebekah glowing red with magic that time in the woods and hoped this was them.

A creak on a floorboard had Tonya whipping around. Klaus was standing right behind Tonya with a freaking creepy smirk.

He snarled.

Hayley screwed her eyes shut as she heard Tonya let out a blood curtailing scream. She could hear Klaus panting as he tore the woman to shreds. Blood squished as it splattered across the room.

Dwayne let out a roar of pain that followed by a thud.

Hayley could only assume that the thud was Dwayne meeting his end as well. She would have felt bad if she wasn't so relieved. Dwayne had been kidnapped just as she had been, he didn't deserve to die. But Hayley couldn't risk people knowing about her baby's blood. She wouldn't have her baby born with a target on her back.

If that meant Dwayne has to die...

A hand touched her shoulder and Hayley jumped. Her eyes flying open in alarm, only to meet familiar compassionate brown eyes.

Elijah.

Hayley sighed in relief and threw herself into his arms when he released her wrists. Her body was shaking from the adrenaline, fear and relief. Hayley held back the urge to sob though. "You will never believe the crap day I've had" Hayley said shakily

"Come on" Elijah said gently as he rubbed her back. "Let's get you home"

"Please" Hayley nodded
