"WHAT?" I felt as though I may pass out.

"Miya, please listen to what Nezu has to say." All Might begged.

"I don't have a say in this?" anger bubbled in my stomach.

"We don't know if your Father..." Nezu started.

"What do any of you know about my Father?" I yelled, slamming my fists on the table.

My heart ached as my mind went to him. Everyone's eyes were on me as I pushed myself away from the table, and stood.

"I'm leaving." I said in a near whisper.

All Might stood. The look on his face grew more and more concerned as he looked at me.

"Miya." his voice was soft, and calm.

"No," I interrupted, "I'm going to my Father." I finished.

I pulled the door to the office open, and made my way back down the hallway. With every step I hurried my gait until I was at a full sprint.

"I'm coming, Father." I said as I reached the doors.

I spread my wings as I stepped outside, and prepared to push myself in the air. An odd sensation pulsated through my body, almost as if an electric current was running through my veins. I pushed off of the ground, but couldn't control my wings. I attempted to spread them again, but this time they stayed folded at my back.

"The device Yaoyorozu created negates your Quirk. Your body isn't sending the right signals to activate it." All Might said from next to me.

"Then take it off." I said irritatedly, keeping my eyes away from him.

He remained silent, and put his hand on my shoulder. I shook it off.

"Please don't act like you give a shit about me. I'm not some helpless child that needs a Pro Hero. I have a Father that needs me." I said looking over at him.

"Do you think your Father cared enough to teach you about your Quirk? About the limits of it?" he asked sincerely.

I laughed, and he took a step back.

"My Father didn't teach me anything about my Quirk. I taught myself." I replied angrily.

"Then why are you so quick to go back to him?" All Might snapped back.

"Because I'm all he has." I yelled, feeling a lump form in my throat.

His jaw tightened, and then loosened. The irritated features on his face slipped away, and he stared at me with a sympathetic look plastered on his face.

"Your mother…" he whispered.

"Is gone, but it's not like I'd expect you to care." I said trying to hide the pain in my voice.

He grabbed my wrist gently, and unlocked the device.

"You're letting me go?" my heart felt lighter at the possibility off freedom.

"I'm negotiating with you." he smiled.

I stared at him curiously.

"If you can land three attacks on me then you're free to go. If not then you stay at U.A. and smooth out the edges of your Quirk." he declared, holding his hand out.

I stared at his hand, unsure of what his motive was.

"What are you getting out of this?" I asked.

"Exactly what I want, Young Suzume." he smiled.

I pushed myself up in the air, and pulled three feathers out of my wings. Pain flooded through my body, but I quickly shook it off, and took aim at All Might. He stood rooted to the spot, and put his hands on his hips. I released the feathers quickly, and they made a ringing sound as they flew through the air. One feather landed to the right of him, and one to the left. The other stuck in the ground just behind his right foot.

Why couldn't I hit him? I cursed under my breath as I glided back to the ground. He took in a breath as if he were going to say something, and then stopped as I raised my right arm up.

"Don't expect me to be happy about this." I mumbled.

"Thank you." he said happily as he strapped the device back on my wrist.

When we returned to Nezu's office he seemed delighted that I had decided to stay.

"Wonderful, absolutely splendid!" he said.

His long white tail moved happily behind him.

"Yaoyorozu, would you be so kind as to show Miya where the girls' dorms are located, as well as where her room is? I would be most appreciative." Nezu said happily.

"Yes, sir." she answered with a bow.

We walked to a separate building mostly in silence. She asked me a few questions about my Father, and I felt slightly guilty that the conversation felt forced.

"I'm...sorry about the device." she said as we made our way to an elevator.

She put her hand on the back of her neck, and looked at the floor. I raised my wrist, and glanced at the gaudy black device that was locked around it.

"I'd love to say it's not your fault, but I'm not one to lie." I sighed.

She stayed silent as she kept her eyes away from me.

"Where did you even get something like this?" I asked.

She looked over at me, and brushed a strand of hair out of her eyes.

"I created it with my Quirk. I can make any object I want using the molecular structure of my fat cells." she smiled.

"So you made a device to nullify my Quirk?" I questioned.

She blushed as she looked away again.

"Principal's orders." she sighed.

The doors of the elevator slid open, and I felt my stomach sink.

"Hey, Yaoyorozu." a short boy, with odd hair said.

He propped himself up against a wall, and folded his arms. He looked at her flirtatiously, and lost his balance as soon as he laid his eyes on me.

"Ahem," he cleared his throat, and made his way next to me, "and who's this scrumptious piece of eye candy you've got with you?" he winked at me.

Momo grabbed my arm, and pulled me towards her.

"This is Miya Suzume. Miya, meet Minoru Mineta." she said.

"Charmed." I said in a sarcastic tone.

"I'll bet you are." he winked again.

"Mineta! You have to check out…!" a boy with golden hair emerged from one of the rooms.

He stopped short of where we were standing, and his equally golden eyes made their way up to my face.

"Woah." he gasped.

"Uh, hello." I said as he continued to stare at me.

Momo sighed again, and pulled me closer.

"Kaminari, this is Miya Suzume." she said.

He blinked, and looked over at her.

"This is Stryker's daughter?" he asked.

Obviously word of my arrival had gotten around.

"Yes," she nodded, "she's going to be staying on our floor so you and Mineta need to behave yourselves." she scolded.

He looked back at me, and smiled coolly.

"I'm Denki Kaminari. Maybe you'd like to see my room sometime." he said.

"I saw her first, damnit!" the short boy argued.

"I said behave yourselves!" Yaoyorozu scolded again.

The two boys looked at her apologetically.

"Come on," she said, taking my arm, "I'll show you to your room."

She led me down the hall away from Mineta, and Kaminari, but something compelled me to look back towards them. Mineta was sulking with his back on the wall, but Kaminari kept his eyes on me. I waved at him, and he blushed. I smiled as I continued down the hallway with Yaoyorozu wondering if it was at all odd that I found him slightly adorable.
