A/N: The party of prophesied demigods has reached the original Mount Olympus. This ultimate battle is different from the original story. Final Showdown with Gaia will take place in Greece instead of Camp Half-Blood. I will take few bits and scenes of starting two chapters from the original story so that this story didn't look entirely different from the original one but it won't be the same and will not be following the same path so please bear with me :)

Piper was separated from Annabeth and Percy to cover more ground. Still under the effect of Hazel's Mist, Piper fiddled her many fingers of six hands nervously, she knew something had gone wrong, but didn't knew what. As on cue, all the giants in Parthenon roared in triumph. Piper rushed toward the sound of celebration.

Her demigod instincts went like crazy, and on reaching her destination, she knew why. King of Giants sat on his throne and before Porphyrion's throne, dozens of giants stood in a loose ring, hollering and shaking their weapons as two of their numbers paraded around the circle, showing off their prizes. Princess Periboia held Annabeth by the neck like a feral cat. The giant Enceladus had Percy wrapped in his massive fist.

Porphyrion rose in his full height from his throne and boomed, "It is time to raise the Mother Earth! The blood of Olympus shall be spilled! Thoon, destroyer of the Fates, come forward!"

The wizened grey giant shuffled into sight, holding an oversized meat cleaver. He fixed his milky eyes on Annabeth. Percy shouted. At the other end of the Acropolis, a hundred yards away, a geyser of water shot into the sky.

King Porphyrion laughed. "You'll have to do better than that, son of Poseidon. The earth is too powerful here. Even your father wouldn't be able to summon more than a salty spring. But never fear. The only liquid we require from you is your blood!"

Thoon knelt and touched the blade of his cleaver reverently against the earth. "Mother Gaia ..." His voice was impossibly deep, shaking the ruins, making the metal scaffold resonate under Piper's feet. "In ancient times, blood mixed with your soil to create life. Now, let the blood of these demigods return the favor. We bring you to full wakefulness. We greet you as our eternal mistress!"

Percy shot another geyser of water, somewhat closer, but still far away from the Thoon. Nevertheless, it caused the distraction that Piper needed to act, and without thinking, Piper leaped from the scaffolding. She sailed over the heads of the Cyclopes and ogres, landed in the center of the courtyard, and pushed her way into the circle of giants. As Thoon rose to use his cleaver, Piper slashed upward with her sword. She took off Thoon's hand at the wrist.

Piper felt her Mist disguise burn away when she drew her knife Katoptris and threw it at Enceladus. She was quite proud when her knife embedded in Enceladus's forehead. He dropped Percy, and ichor leaked from his wound.

Percy took out his pen and uncapped it to transform it into his trustworthy sword, Anaklusmos. He dodged the attack from an Earthborn and slashed the nearest cyclops's thigh; it howls in pain and brings down his massive club. Percy step sided and stabbed cyclops in eye. He then turned around to parry a dracaenae's spear and slashed her arm as she nicked Percy's leg. In turn, Percy stabbed dracaenae's right snake trunk. Dracaenae screamed in pain. Percy feinted left to slash her second trunk as she moved her spear down to parry the strike, Percy moved his sword up and slashed her chest, the dracaenae stumbled back and Percy took his chance and stabbed her in her chest and turning her to dust.

Percy looked around to see how others were doing, Piper was handling herself well, her training with Hazel did her good, Percy thought. Then his eyes spotted his girlfriend, still under the grasp of the giantess. He knew he need to get to her. His demigod instincts worked into overdrive as he stabbed, slashed, rolled, ducked and parry while advancing towards Annabeth's direction, leaving a golden trail behind him.

Piper zigzagged towards Annabeth, who was still kicking and writhing in Periboia's grip.

Periboia yelled. "This one bleeds!" The giantess raised her knife.

Piper screamed in charmspeak: "MISS!" And at the same time, Annabeth kicked up with her legs to make herself a smaller target. Periboia's knife passed beneath Annabeth's legs and stabbed the giantess's palm.

"OWWW!" Periboia screamed in pain and dropped Annabeth. And Annabeth rolled away as Piper stabbed Periboia in her gut with the sword of Boread, and frost spread across her bronze breastplate. Piper yanked out her sword. The giantess toppled backward—steaming white and frozen solid. Periboia hit the ground with a thud as Percy reached to them, covered in few scratches and golden dust.

Three demigods stood in the center of the ocean of monsters and giants, weapon raised. Percy held Riptide, ready to spring into action anytime. Annabeth had retrieved Peribioa's hunting knife and held a cold expression on her face, and Piper had Boread's sword now wreathing cold blue steam. Despite being outnumbered, they looked intimidating.

Giants shuffled uneasily. They knew who they were, especially the blonde and black-haired demigod. They were the ones who ventured through Tartarus and came back alive. That's a big feat even among the monsters and the third one who just froze the princess with one strike.

Porphyrion shouted. "These demigods cannot kill us! They do not have the help of the gods. Remember who you are!"

The giants closed in. A dozen spears were pointed at their chest. "Come on, then!" Annabeth yelled. "We'll destroy you all by ourselves if we have to!"

A metallic smell of storm filled the air. All the hairs on Piper's arms stood up. "The thing is," said a voice from above, "you don't have to."

Reinforcement had arrived. At the top of the nearest colonnade stood Jason, his sword gleaming gold in the sun. Frank stood at his side, his bow ready. Hazel sat astride Arion, who reared and whinnied in the challenge. With a deafening blast, a white-hot bolt arced from the sky, straight through Jason's body as he leaped, wreathed in lightning, at the giant king.

Frank unleashed a hail of arrows. The Argo II rose above the ruins and all the ballistae and catapults fired simultaneously. Leo had programmed the weapons with surgical precision. A wall of Greek fire roared upward all around the Parthenon. It didn't touch the interior, but in a flash, weaponry of Argo II incinerated most of the smaller monsters around it.

Hazel zipped from giant to giant on Arion, stinging them with the blade of her spatha. Before the giants could even react, she was on her next target. Soon, the giants, covered with stabs and slashes, started to slow down. Hazel dismounted from Arion and went for the killing blows. As giants came near her, she manipulates the Mist to disappear and reappear behind giants and stabbed to kill them.

Annabeth was battling Princess Periboia, recently unfrozen by Enceladus who still had Katoptris embedded in his forehead. Annabeth, who had Periboia's hunting knife, held herself well enough against the giantess who had retrieved a broad sword from some laistrygonian giant. She got few cuts from the Princess, but gave her much more in return. Annabeth rolled under Periboia's legs and slashed giantess calf. It left a large gash behind and ichor started flowing from the wound.

"GAAAAHHHHH! Stay still demigod! Or I will give you a painful death!" Periboia bellowed.

"What happened, Your Highness, unable to kill a puny mortal?" Annabeth asked mockingly. "And here I thought you were born to a rival of god."

Giantess fumed in anger, and advanced towards Annabeth, her attacked became more powerful but sloppy. Annabeth easily dodged her attacks. Annabeth saw her plan working as she step sided again and slashed her dragon scaled thighs.

"Oops! missed again!" Annabeth called out innocently.

"Shut up! None of your silver-tongued trickery! Before I smashed your pretty little face!"

"You know, for the bane of Aphrodite, you are rather ugly. I don't think you are immune to love. I think you're just unlovable. Does your father love you?" Annabeth retorted.

It hit giantess nerve. She fumed even more in anger. Annabeth didn't know it was even possible. "You think I am unlovable. Mark my words daughter of Athena! Reason for your death will be lack of love!" Periboia laughed.

Her words stunned Annabeth. 'Lack of Love' these words rang in her head. Will Percy won't love me anymore? Will he be the reason I will die? Annabeth thought. Just as she thought of this, she shook her head and get rid of these thought. Percy won't leave her. They both are madly in love. But could Periboia's curse could change that?

As if the giantess read her thought, she smiled wickedly and replied. "It's not a curse daughter of Athena, it is your future!" And with that she attacked.

Just in time Annabeth rolled away. She pushed this all recent information to back of her mind, she will think about it later. Now she had to fight Princess Periboia, who just foretold the reason for her death. Annabeth rolled again under her legs and stabbed behind giantess knee. Periboia howls in pain and fall in one leg and then Annabeth pushed her weapon down Periboia's shoulder.

Annabeth knew she can't kill her without the help of god, so she moved further to kill other monsters. She was fighting an empousai, when she saw her drakon bone sword, in the hands of Earthborn who was throwing rocks to Argo II with his brethren, which Damasen had gifted her in Tartarus. Annabeth quickly stabbed empousai in guts and move towards the Earthborn.

"Hey! You got something of mine!" Annabeth called to the Earthborn, said Earthborn turned toward the noise only to lose his three left hands and Annabeth's sword.

Annabeth then slashed the Earthborn across his chest before he could even regain his bearings, transforming him into a putty of mud. Annabeth then threw away Periboia's hunting knife, which she was using all this time, and picked up her drakon bone sword. The sword felt oddly familiar to her even though she had used it for a very little time. She then looked around at all the giants and monsters and advanced towards them.

Frank was still on that colonnade, after destroying giant defenses against Argo II; Frank, Hazel and Jason came to help the other three who were on ground. Hazel had zipped past him on Arion a while ago and Jason was locked in a fight with Giant King Porphyrion.

Frank was currently firing arrows at the small monsters who were trying to attack his friends. But he was running out of arrows, he had only three left. He looked around and saw a hellhound trying to pounce on Piper from behind while she was fighting a 10 foot cyclops. Frank quickly draw an arrow and released it. It pierced hellhound in his hind limb, making him unable to jump. Frank then shot next two arrows, and both hit their mark, one on his neck and another one in the hellhound's left eye. Resulting him to dissolve into golden dust. Piper, unaware of the hellhound, stabbed cyclops in his gut.

Frank then discarded his bow and now empty quiver and jumped down from colonnade while transforming into an eagle in mid-fall. He spread his wings wide and glided 20 foot above the ground. As Frank decided to land mid battle he saw few Earthborn throwing volleys of rock to Argo II where Leo and Festus were working overtime to minimize the damage to their ship.

Frank, while landing, transformed himself to a giant rhinoceros and effectively landed on an Earthborn. The Earthborn surrounded Frank, forgot about the 200 feet long trireme and all focused on an oversized rhino.

Frank leapt into battle. He bit off the head of first Earthborn who approached him, spitting out mud in the very next instance. Even though this way of killing them was effective as the Earthborn became putty in the very next moment, but they taste horrible - Mud, sand, and cement mixed with dirty water and sweat. Frank internally shuddered. But you needed to make sacrifices in battles. And this was his sacrifice, Frank decided. But not before making a mental note to rub his mouth clean by sandpaper. And then Frank advanced.

Leo was getting a hard time up in the air. After killing the monsters around the Parthenon, he was firing the monsters inside to assist his friends who were battling down below. But the stupid son of stupid Dirt Face had to order these stupid monsters to attack him, Leo cursed under his breath.

Festus was blowing flames to the flock of gryphons who were attacking them in the air and char grilling them out of the sky. While the Earthborn were launching a volley of rocks to his beloved ship. Leo worked on ship's controller and from the both sides of the hull a dozen Archimedes spheres sprayed out, intercepting the boulders and demolishing them to dust.

Leo breathed a sign of relief when Frank smashed an Earthborn and all of their focus was on Frank the rhino. He grimaced when he saw Frank's expression, when he spat out mud. Although Leo found that amusing, and decided to tease him later on that. But right now he needs to kill some monsters.

Leo went toward the bow of the ship to Festus. He placed a hand on him. "Hey buddy! I am going down to help others. You think you can handle everything up here?"

Festus blew out fire in agreement. And Leo chuckled lightly. "Good, I am proud of you buddy!" and with that Leo retreated.

Once on the ground, he found Piper freezing monsters with her sword. As Leo came near her, he whistled toward her sword and grinned.

"Didn't know you were Ice Queen now, Beauty Queen". He very well knew how much she hated that name.

"Shut up, Valdez!" Piper said with a glare as she drew back her sword from another monster popsicle.

Leo laughed as they both stood back to back, fighting every giant who dared to come near them. Piper with her popsicle maker sword and Leo with his now flaming hammer curtsy of Leo's magical tool belt. And with occasional fireball.

Acropolis was filled with monsters and giants, but Jason was eyeing only one. Giant King, Porphyrion, Bane of Jupiter, his old enemy. Jason concentrated on his godly power. He felt air around him, sky above him, and storm within him. Jason's body crackles with electricity and a powerful bolt of lightning arced from the sky, straight through Jason's body and he focus on his enemy and leaped towards Giant King.

Jason fell on King Porphyrion with such force that the giant crumpled to his knees and Jason's bolt hit the giant. Porphyrion, who was already on his knees, fell to the ground. Jason took out his gladius and took a battle stance while panting. Shooting such a powerful lighting bolt took a lot of Jason's energy. Jason's energy recovery break also gave Giant King to recover himself, which Jason realized after Porphyrion stood up holding his large spear. Jason cursed himself inwardly and readied himself for battle.

"You never learn demigod! You can't win. Mother Earth will rise and destroy you all. Give up and I will make your death easy."

Jason glared at the giant. Jason was never good at 'battle insults'. Is that what it even called? Jason wasn't sure. He never learned such thing in legion, and neither did Lupa taught him. Percy is very good at it. He always gets under his enemy's skin. Jason remembered. Maybe it was some Greek thing. It just isn't the Roman way. Romans are disciplined and honorable. They follow code, they talk with their blades not insults. But is Jason even Roman now? At least by the principles, yes he is a Roman. Jason thought. Since Jason had nothing to say, he did what Rome taught him. He attacked.

Porphyrion's large spear blocked Jason's upward slice. Jason rolled away as the spear came down to stab him. Jason and Porphyrion traded blows. Nobody getting the upper hand in fight. This was much better than the last time both of them fought.

Remembering their last fight, Jason got an idea, and he took flight. Using the surrounding air, Jason changed the direction of wind currents and lift himself up and he tried to get under Giant King's guard. Jason tried to jab the giant in chest but Porphyrion easily blocked it and countered Jason with a slice. Jason flew outward to dodge the attack, but the giant's spear slashed Jason in his calf. The wound wasn't deep, but it was enough for Jason to lose his control on winds. Jason tumbles down to the ground.

Jason hit the ground hard. He felt a quite dizzy. Just as his vison cleared, Jason saw a spear head coming down to pierce him. Jason quickly rolled away just in time, but Porphyrion had put such force in the attack that his spear stuck in ground. Taking this opportunity, Jason again flew upward and stabbed the giant in the neck with his golden gladius.

King Porphyrion roared in anger just as Jason pulled his sword out, and ichor flew out the wound. "Stupid Demigod! I will kill you now."

Before Jason could react, Porphyrion back handed Jason, and he flew towards where his other friends were fighting. Jason stood up and took in his surrounding. Giants advanced towards the demigods, and they huddled to each other.

Porphyrion laughed. "You demigods have learned nothing. There are no gods to aid you. Victory will be ours!"

Jason knew what Porphyrion said was right. They need gods to kill giants and if they won't arrive in time, their month long quest to ancient land will be in vain and giants will win this war. Jason took a large breath and look around to his friends. Everyone looked at each other. Their eyes blaze with fire and determination. They all knew they could die today, but they are still fighting. Fighting for what is right. Fighting for what they believe. Fighting for their friends and families. Fighting for the world. They nod at each other, and Jason knew what this nod meant- 'If we go down, we will go down fighting'.

All seven demigods stood in a defensive ring, surrounded by the giants, ready for anything, and praying for the gods to arrive.
