Hey, it's Fates, sorry it took so long for me to get around to actually getting this chapter out. Stupidly enough, it was 60% done about a month ago, but then life just hit like a train and I had to slowly recover and get back to finish it. Moving and the like, hopefully you'll understand if you still care. Well, now I can say that I'm back and hopefully there won't be another 5 month delay. I intend to keep to an actual schedule but I'm going to be working on other stories on top of FTA to keep myself from becoming burnt out again. I, as always, hope you enjoy this chapter which is twice as long as usual, and I will try and keep myself at a level of intent with this chapter being a factor. I'll say more at the end.
Chapter 3: Two Detectives Intuition
Amaya felt like he was falling. Initially, he disregarded this thinking it was not strange. After a minute of falling though, he opened his eyes and saw nothing but darkness and the rushing air resistance building beneath him from his fall made him know something wasn't right.
"What the fuck?! Where am I?!"
Amaya then heard a blood-curdling shriek from… somewhere near him before out of nowhere he collided with what felt like a body of water.
"SPLASH!"
Amaya swam up to the top as fast as he could to see if he could find somewhere to get his bearings. After a minute of floating in place, he saw an enormous island near him with a mountain in the center and began swimming toward it. As he got to the island and stood on land Amaya noticed a few things that seemed very… off. First thing, this place seemed to have no sky, just a sea of the darkest black imaginable, second, the liquid he was in seemed to act like water but was the color of BLOOD, and the one that seemed the weirdest, Amaya just got out of that liquid and he was completely DRY.
After turning around, Amaya decided to climb to the top of the mountain to see what was around him and where he was. As Amaya climbed he saw strange things about the island he was on. The rocks seemed to let off a shimmer, not unlike that of black glass, the dirt and dust seemed to resemble ash and soot, and all of the enormous trees that covered the island were decaying. Lastly and most unnerving, parts of the island were falling into the water below and then slowly rising back up into their original position.
"What is this horrible place?" Amaya asked as he gawked at what he saw.
Amaya continued climbing up the island's mountain and saw as things seemed to get even more decrepit. Amaya saw a steep cliff that had what seemed to be a graveyard on it. Amaya walked toward the cemetery-like place and saw several names on them, many of which felt outlandish to him.
Amaya noted all of the names he could before he resumed his climb up the mountain, he was almost to the summit. As he approached the Summit, he saw a huge Storm Cloud begin to form in a circular ring around the summit and red lightning began to rain down behind him, forcing him to get closer to the summit. As he reached the summit, there was something that felt very out of place, an ENORMOUS bird nest covered the summit. The nest felt artificial, made from dark metals, and had effigies of various creatures and people within it. Amaya walked into the nest and saw what almost looked like an altar in the middle of the nest, directly under a huge cocoon of sorts that looked like it had closed wings on it. Amaya then felt nauseous and the area around him became hazy. There was a figure at the altar and in front of them were several small purple gemstone shards floating around. A second person walked up and gave another shard to the person at the altar and upon taking it and putting it with the other shards, began to do some sort of prayer and the shards began circling very quickly and got closer and closer together before becoming one. An explosion of Purple Energy shot out and sent the second figure flying but it barely fazed the one at the altar. Instead, they reached up to the purple crystal and placed it in a small hole in the cocoon before them. Energy began coursing the area and the clouds began to darken even more so if that was even possible, obscuring Amaya's vision. Energy began coursing through the cocoon and bursts of light began shooting out of it little by little before there was an enormous blast of energy and the cocoon shattered and a maddening screech echoed into the heavens. Amaya couldn't see very well as the vision was very hazy but he felt his blood run cold as two deep red eyes looked at him. Amaya was scared to even move but the vision very quickly disappeared and Amaya heard a voice that seemed eerily familiar come from behind him.
"ᎩᎧᏬ ፈᏗᏁᏁᎧᏖ ᏗᏝᏝᎧᏇ ᏖᏂᎥᏕ ᏖᎧ ᏂᏗᎮᎮᏋᏁ. ᏂᎧᎮᏋᎦᏬᏝᏝᎩ, ᏖᏂᎥᏕ ᎥᏕᏁ'Ꮦ ᏖᏂᏋ ᏋᏁᎴ."
Amaya was about to turn around and ask who was there but was interrupted by a massive gust of wind which sent Amaya's soul flying back into his body as he jolted awake and smacked his head against the wall he had been sleeping against.
"FUCK!"
Amaya rubbed his head waiting for the pain to go away. Grumbling to himself when he heard a knock on the door.
"Master Amaya, are you okay? I heard you yell."
"I'm okay Yakushiji, I hit my head against a wall by accident. Sorry to worry you."
"No worries young Master. may I come in and talk to you about what we are going to do today?"
"Oh yeah just a sec, let me get the door for you."
Amaya got out of bed and opened the door for Yakushiji and he stepped inside wearing his usual attire of a formal brown suit and black tie. Amaya sat in his chair by his computer and Yakushiji stood at the foot of Amaya's bed and began making it up.
"Shiji, I can do that."
"It is my job, Amaya-San, I can handle it. How was your sleep last night?"
"...Fine, had a very strange dream that jolted me awake, not much else."
"I'm sorry to hear you had a bad dream Amaya-San. I hope that is the last one you have."
"You keep saying that Shiji and they keep happening. What do you suggest I do to stop these?"
"Master Daichi seemed to believe that dreams are but an outlook the brain has with a lens of the person's worldview. Maybe if you change your outlook on some things, the dreams will get better."
"Yeah, but how do I change my outlook when I know it to be true? I am not an optimist, we both know that."
"Indeed Amaya-San, however, worldview and perspective are very different. That is how terrible things can happen to people and they experience it differently even if it is the same action. For example, did you know Master Daichi was a Pessimist too?"
"...Really?"
"Indeed. He never let it show but he was a very paranoid person through and through. He always had to have some control over something in a given situation no matter how minor. If there was no control and something bad happened, he always blamed himself. That is why after your parents passed away he tried so hard to help you where he could."
"Grandpa Daichi did all that for me? He had no control over that accident."
"That's the point, Amaya-San, he didn't. He blamed himself thinking he could have done something where that couldn't have happened. I can tell your sister is the same way."
"Even if that IS the case Shiji, ...I still don't trust her."
"That is completely understandable, Master. You don't have to at this point in time. I just don't want you to be stuck in the past anymore. Master Daichi was always in that trap and he told me he did not want you to fall into it too."
"What should I do then? Change and trust are not easy subjects, Shiji. You know how long it took me to simply leave my room for a five-minute chat."
"I can simply help you expand your comfort zone. If your room is your safe space, take a few minutes and sit in the living room to start if you want to. Slow progress is still progress."
"Even if it takes years?"
"Going at your pace no matter how slow acclimating is, progress all the same Amaya-San. …! Oh! Speaking of which, Amaya-San."
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry to drop this on you so soon but I have to leave and go back to the estate. I will not be staying here often."
"Why?"
"Well, I still have duties to fulfill at the estate but I have to go back to the estate but I will try and be here every two weeks or so then come back."
"So I'm stuck here on my own when you're gone?"
"You can call me at any time you need too but I think this is the perfect opportunity to meet new people both in school and… closer to home."
"I'll do what I can."
"Excellent. As for then, Amaya-San, there is only one last thing I want to warn you of."
"That is?"
"Kosei Academy has a lot of students of importance but there is one in particular who you may come across that could be troublesome."
"Akechi?"
"Goro Akechi, yes. You seemed to already know."
"He is the only person around my age I feel would have issues with me that isn't in the Family. Hopefully, I can get him to back off since it is Naoto he should be angry at, not me."
"I suppose that is something you will have to work out then Amaya-San. Do you want to get ready to head out while I prepare Breakfast before Naoto-San brings you to Kosei?"
"Sure. What will it be?"
"SInce it is a special occasion, why not some Crepes?"
"Cool! ...Wait. NAOTO'S bringing me!?"
"You already accepted."
"...Those Crepes better be damn worth it."
"They will be Amaya-San. Maybe I should ask Hanamura-San to help me make a Crepe breakfast for everyone."
Yakushiji walked out of Amaya's room with a slight spring in his step and a hint of satisfaction on his face and Amaya slumped into his chair and inwardly groaned.
Naoto and Teddie were talking at the counter when Yakushiji came back to the living room after talking with Amaya. He seemed excited and Naoto wanted to know why.
"Shiji, why are you so ecstatic? Did your conversation go well?"
"Better than I could ever hope for Naoto-San. I even got him to accept having you take him to Kosei without me going along. It feels like his shell is finally cracking, however slow that might be."
"He accepted? I expected him to say no to basically everything I offered. This feels strange."
"It may definitely seem that way but Amaya-San has a… almost bipolar way of dealing with things. Depending on his mood he can either be very hard to converse with or very easy."
"Makes sense. What do you suggest I do when bringing him to Kosei?"
"I would attempt to ask questions but if he doesn't respond don't push him."
"Thanks, Shiji, I'll do what I can. Oh, what is the plan for Breakfast?"
"I kind of promised Crepes and things to Amaya-San but I want this to be a big and nice Breakfast as it's his first day being here." Yakushiji turned to Teddie, "Mister Hanamura, would you mind helping me make Breakfast?"
"I'd love to help! This will be a meal to remembear!"
Naoto rolled her eyes and groaned, "Teddie… you said you'd stop the puns."
"S-Sorry, force of habit. Hehe..." Teddie responded awkwardly before getting the pans out of the cupboard and helped Yakushiji make Breakfast.
After a few minutes, the smell of the food began to waft through the penthouse and Naoto started to crave the smell. Out of the corner of her eye though, Naoto saw a door open and Amaya walked out of his room wearing a neat pair of clothes and strangely, sunglasses. Amaya walked over to the main table and sat down and pulled his laptop out of his bag and began to type away at something without saying anything but a word to the others. Naoto, wanting to distract her hunger, walked to the living room and grabbed the remote before changing the channel to the current news. Apparently, a lab in Okinawa was hacked by an anonymous hacker who called themselves Alibaba. Nothing was leaked and everything seemed to be in place so it just seemed like the hacker was looking for something and then left everything else alone. Naoto was intrigued by what this Alibaba hacker was looking for but her train of thought was interrupted by the smell of the crepes again. Naoto looked longingly in the oven's direction but noticed that she could also see Amaya's screen. Amaya was looking at a social media site of some kind, Naoto was intrigued and silently walked closer to get a better look. Amaya seemed to be looking into the profiles of the person the public has dubbed her successor, Goro Akechi. Naoto was about to walk away before a voice stopped her in her tracks.
"I can see you watching Nao. What do you need?"
"U-Uh, nothing, I was just wondering why you're looking into Akechi."
"Shiji told me he's at Kosei so I need to find something to use against him if he would give me a hard time."
"Blackmail?"
"Technically. I don't intend to use it unless I have to."
"Makes sense. Please don't use it maliciously though."
"I have no intention to use it in the first place. I'm not intentionally spiteful, but if provoked I absolutely can be. I still don't know why Amaya hasn't worked on that."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"U-Uh, sorry that was a slip of the tongue, I mean I don't know why I haven't worked on that."
"You seem much nicer to me than usual. Is something wrong?"
"N-Nothing's wrong, just in a good mood is all. Could I please have my space for a little bit? ...I feel a bit overwhelmed."
"Certainly Ami, let me know if you need anything ok?"
"W-Will do Nao than-! ... How long until breakfast is ready?"
"A few minutes. I'll go back and watch the news."
"K."
As Naoto walked away she thought she saw a flash of yellow emanate from inside Amaya's sunglasses and heard what sounded like an irritated conversation which Naoto didn't want to interfere with. After a few minutes, Breakfast was done and everyone dug into the Crepes and Eggs. When all of the food was gone Naoto leaned back in a satisfied but full stretch. After a few minutes of relaxing, Naoto's phone alarm went off signaling that it was time to go up to Kosei. Before Naoto could even explain what it was for, Amaya had already packed up his computer and everything he was gonna take with him and was facing her with a strange expression on his face Naoto could not identify. Naoto got up and nodded at Amaya and he stood up and walked to the door with his stuff in hand like he was two steps in front of her. Naoto looked at Yakushiji and it seemed even HE was confused as to what was happening. Naoto knew she had to talk to him about this later. Naoto grabbed the keys to the car and followed Amaya out of the Penthouse and they got in the car and headed to Kosei Academy. Naoto spared a look to Amaya who was sitting in the passenger's seat and he seemed to be asleep. Not wanting to disturb him, Naoto kept driving and would wake him up when they got to Kosei.
Amaya upon getting into the car felt incredibly tired suddenly and as Naoto started driving he fell into a light sleep but it felt almost like he was falling again. Terrified about the last time he had this feeling, Amaya's eyes shot open just as he collided with what felt like a couch of some kind. Amaya looked around and saw he was in a familiar place, the Shirogane Estate. Only this time things felt off. The place felt much nicer than it was when he left, there was fancier furniture around the room, there were incredibly bright candles instead of lights, there were stained glass windows among many other things. Amaya sat up on the couch just as he felt something approaching. Amaya looked toward the stairs leading upstairs and saw someone who looked exactly like him walking down. The figure nodded at him before walking toward one of the two chairs and sat down. Amaya was confused and asked the figure.
"Where am I?"
The figure responded. "In your head."
"Then who are you?"
"I'm a part of you."
"Then why am I here?"
"Mo wanted to have a talk between the three of us about what we should do going forward."
"Mo?"
Just as Amaya asked what he saw before him his shadow began moving separate from him and his other self climbed out of it before sitting in the other chair and looking at Amaya.
"Do you recognize me, Amaya?"
"I believe so."
"You saying that means you don't. Not that I'm surprised, to be honest, I've been watching over this place while Phoenix has been the one you've been dealing with regularly."
"Wait, PHOENIX?" Amaya turns to the other him and it smiles, nods, and then flashes with light, and in a flash, it is wearing White, Red, and Gold armor that almost resembles the legendary creature.
"Hello, Amaya, your hacker side speaking," Phoenix replied before turning and nodding at Mo.
Amaya turned to Mo, "Then who are you?"
"If I were to say my full name you would be much more on edge than normal. That isn't something any of us want to deal with right now."
"Fair enough. What did you want to talk about?"
"Our current way of things can no longer be sustainable Amaya. Phoenix and I have been trying to help you through tough places but you have been over-relying on us without knowing it."
"What do you mean?"
"Let me explain, Mo," Phoenix spoke up and Amaya and Mo turned toward him. "Amaya, take that last conversation you had with Naoto for example. You were relying on ME to look into Akechi. Unlike you, I don't have animosity toward Naoto. As a result, I almost exposed myself because I was tired of hiding."
"How do I use you guys? I thought I was doing things."
"Such is the case when it feels natural to do so. You may think of us as accessories for your everyday convenience. Phoenix is your reading glasses for example while I am your Diary. You NEED both of us but… using Glasses too often can also hurt your eyes if you catch my meaning."
"...I get what you mean. What do you suggest I do then if I use you on instinct?"
"Simple. Be YOU not us." Phoenix said.
"Huh?"
"We are caricatures of who you want to be but you intentionally tried to make us not you. As a result, we are disconnected and act like other personalities and not as Amaya. Our Juxtaposition from you is jarring and you've been relying on us so much we are worried you will become us."
"Where's the harm in that? If you are indeed me, you know how much of a loser I am.'
"We disagree. If you WERE a loser, we wouldn't exist." Phoenix said.
"How so?"
"We exist because of your loneliness and your subconscious's desire to survive. I am the weapon while Phoenix is the friend. Neither of us would exist without you. The place we're in right now is a reflection of that."
"Where are we anyway?"
"We are in your mind, Amaya. This is our home but a twisted inverted version of it. You know full well that the Estate doesn't have Stained Glass windows or candle torches."
"This is how you see it though isn't it Amaya? Medieval and Archaic."
"Do I see it like this?"
"Even if you don't intend for it, yes."
"When you locked yourself in your room, in pain you split yourself into Three pieces and tried locking away your memories and insecurities in this place thinking it would help you. After a few years, ...has it? Phoenix and I don't believe so."
"If I made you two out of me, what am I?"
"That's the thing, you're you. What you make of that is for you to decide."
"Indeed. You are our whole. We are just a missing piece of you that you cast out."
"So, how would I be able to get you back or do what you want me to do?"
"This might sound simple but it's really difficult as Mo and I have found. You need to evolve and learn who YOU want to be. You shouldn't be us, we should be YOU."
"How do I do that?"
"You are going to need to find out for yourself as cliche as it sounds. We are holding you back the longer you rely on our training wheels. You simply have to ride the bike on your own."
"But what if I still need you?"
"I'm not saying you can't use us anymore. But we are slowly going to fade away from misuse if things continue as they have been."
"It's been slow but it's showing." Phoenix said, "Mo, there should be another quake any second."
Right after Phoenix said that what felt like an earthquake occurred and the entire place shook and the sound of an aggravated scream and screeching metal could be heard. After a minute of this, the shaking began to slow until it stopped completely. Amaya looked at his other selves.
"What the hell was that!?"
"Your trauma tearing this place apart. There is a reason why Phoenix and I want to help you here Amaya."
"Kicking the can of your issues down the road isn't an option we're afraid. Doing so creates a legion on your heart that given time acts like cancer and eats away at you until nothing is left. We've been holding it back for as long as we could but now it's your turn to deal with it."
"What do I do?"
"We have just under Eight Months left until this place completely falls apart. What you have to do to at least postpone it is taking control of the reins of your life and try moving forward. This problem won't go away on its own and takes effort."
"I don't know HOW to live my life though! Once again WHAT DO I DO!?"
Phoenix and Mo looked down solemnly before Phoenix looked up at his counterpart.
"Mo. I don't think we have a choice. One of us has to merge."
"But-!"
"But nothing Mo. I'll do it. I can at least help give him guidance."
"Sigh… okay. You better promise you won't leave me here Phoenix."
"No worries Mo.-"
"What are you two talking about?"
Phoenix and Mo looked at each other for a minute and then nodded and looked at Amaya.
"One of us is going to purposefully merge with you again. Phoenix will give you his strengths but you will have to use them to take hold of your life going forward. Can you promise us this?"
"I don't even know what's going on here."
"Don't worry. I can help you understand more. We have to hurry though. Time is of the essence and I think Kosei is a minute or two away now."
"Do it fast!"
Phoenix walked up to Amaya and looked him in the eyes.
"I'm going to ask you some things. You need to answer them truthfully."
"Okay…?"
"Close enough. Let's begin. Who are you?"
"Amaya Shirogane."
"Nonono, WHO are you."
"Amaya Shirogane."
"More determination!"
"AMAYA SHIROGANE!"
"Great! Now then, let's begin." Phoenix reached out his hand and Amaya took it and Amaya could feel strength enter his body. "I am thou, thou art I…? Huh?"
"What is it?" Amaya asked and looked at Phoenix and saw it was looking at a glowing blue door that appeared out of nowhere. From the door came a booming voice.
"Grail von grime, out of time, thou shalt climb, to commit the crime. Thou shalt not defy thy fate, power you'll gain at a later date. Insistent to avert the world's doom, so to is the will of the Velvet Room!"
A blast of energy then came out of the door, headed straight at Amaya. Seeing this, Phoenix jumped in the way and upon impact, shattered into pieces and Amaya felt as he absorbed Phoenix's shards. A beam then shot at Amaya again but Mo seeing initiative looked at him with a worried expression apparent in his golden eyes.
"We don't have time. Sorry Amaya, time to wake up, I hope Phoenix is okay but now you need to be safe."
Mo waved his hand and Amaya vanished from the room just before the energy beam would hit. A deep laugh could be heard from the door before it too disappeared.
Naoto was just pulling into the Parking lot of Kosei Academy when she checked on Amaya again. He was still wearing his sunglasses and had a tranquil expression on his face. Naoto checked the time, it was ten minutes before their scheduled meeting, Naoto wanted to allow Amaya to rest for a few more minutes. After about two minutes Naoto was on her phone looking at the Investigation Team Groupchat and had asked how everyone was doing. Yosuke was doing well as a Branch Manager for Junes, Chie was almost through Police Academy, Yukiko was in charge of the Amagi Inn, Kanji had started a toy company in Inaba which was doing well, Rise was about to start a new tour for her album called Sapphire, Yu was in College, Teddie was, of course, working for the Shadow Operatives, everything for the Investigation Team seemed to be on the good side. Or at least it was until Yu dropped a bombshell.
YN- Hey, I know everyone is doing well but I just learned something worrying. Apparently, my Uncle Dojima has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
YA- How bad is it?
YN- Stage 3 and pretty bad at that. Chemotherapy can only do so much.
CS- What about Nanako, how's she handling this?
YN- She doesn't know and Dojima doesn't want her to for a while. She is 13, she is mature for her age but doesn't need to stress over something like this too.
YH- What is the plan then? Dojima can't take care of her in a state like that.
YN- I know, that's the problem. I'd take care of her but don't have the ability to be with her when I'm in college. Yukiko, would it be possible if worse comes to worst, have Nanako stay at the Amagi Inn for a while? I'll pay.
YA- You wouldn't need to pay Yu. But yeah, Nanako could stay at the Inn but I don't think that is a good long-term solution.
NS- I agree. Nanako can't stay in the Amagi Inn by herself for long. Even if Yukiko gives her company when she can, it would be hard for her. She was already having Loneliness issues back during the Case.
YN- Yeah good point… Damn it.
TH- Hey, we have two extra rooms in the Penthouse. Maybe if worse comes to worst she could stay here in Tokyo with us.
NS- Teddie, are you sure Amaya would be okay with that?
TH- Shiji said he understands people's issues more than he lets on. I'm sure if we bring it up to him he'll be okay with it.
NS- Let's talk to Amaya later about this before saying something definitively.
YN- Thanks, everyone!
RK- Hope everything goes alright!
KN- As so I.
As Naoto put her phone down she checked the time again and saw they should head in. Naoto looked over at Amaya and saw he was making a pained expression and was twitching. Naoto reached over to touch his arm and he was startled awake.
"AGH!"
"You okay?" Naoto asked nervously.
"Y-Yeah, bad dream."
Amaya shakily opened the door and tried stepping out only for one of his legs to give out on him. Naoto got out of the car fast to help him.
"Leg fell asleep."
"You okay to walk?"
"In a second I should be."
Amaya braced himself against the car and began lightly stamping his foot against the ground to wake it up. After about thirty seconds he was able to stand on it and nodded at Naoto before walking toward the front doors of Kosei.
As Amaya and Naoto walked into the Academy they met with the Secretary at the Front Desk, Rika Maruyama who looked up at them approaching.
"Welcome to Kosei Academy! Naoto and Amaya Shirogane I presume?"
"Correct."
"Principal Kita will be able to meet with you soon. I have a form where you two need to fill out." Rika passed them a clipboard with paper and a pencil and Naoto and Amaya went to the waiting room to fill it out. Naoto filled out all of the Guardian information and made small questions to Amaya here and there where she got simple but quick responses. That was until one last question that made Naoto confused.
"Do you have any Mental Disorders Amaya?"
"Most definitely yes. Have no direct diagnosis but Depression is easy to deduce."
"What do you want me to put for this?"
"What are the options?"
"Yes, No, and Unsure."
"Unsure. I'd rather get diagnosed before saying yes."
"Sounds good. With that, we should be done."
Naoto and Amaya walked up to the counter again and Rika took the clipboard and looked it over quickly.
"All set. Principal Kita's room is the last room at the end of the hallway. He should be expecting you."
"Thank you."
Naoto and Amaya walked to the end of the Hallway and entered the nice looking office. Inside was a nice wooden desk, red carpet, huge windows showing the nearby park, and a leather chair. Sitting in the chair was a man with the nametag on the desk named Yuji Kita. He was typing away at the computer in front of him but looked up suddenly and his eyes widened before he sat up straight with a strange expression on his face.
"Naoto-San, Amaya-San, nice to finally meet you. Welcome to Kosei Academy."
On Kita's computer, there was an email just sent to his boss with information on the Transfer of Amaya to Kosei. The person who received the message took immediate interest and began typing a number onto their phone.
"Akechi, I have another job for you." Masayoshi Shido said through gritted teeth.
Goro Akechi was reading up on a case behind a crowd of people in Shibuya Station. There was an accident yesterday at the Shibuya Crossing, a speeding Truck was barreling through a red light and hit a 15-year-old schoolgirl. Unfortunate, but Akechi had done and heard worse. He felt bad for the family of the girl more than anything. While he was reading the paper case file he heard his phone ring in his pocket. Akechi pulled it out and internally groaned as he saw the caller. Masayoshi Shido, the man he hated more than any other. Akechi answered the call.
"Do you need something, Sir?"
"I just heard something from Yuji Kita, your Principal. Your Predessessor's Brother is transferring to Kosei."
"Why?" Akechi's left eyebrow rose in confusion.
"I do not know. Shirogane moving to Tokyo makes me think she is looking into something for that witch, Kirijo."
"Do you want me to look into what she is doing?"
"Yes. I understand this will be difficult so I will only have you do the Shutdowns if it is necessary until further notice. They need to die down anyway to not catch the suspicion of the public."
"Understood sir, I will look into Shirogane's mission. I'll alert you if I get any information."
"As expected. Continue the good work Akechi, I expect results."
Shido then ended the call and Akechi put his phone in his pocket.
"Sigh..." Akechi pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. "Having to be extremely careful at school is going to fucking SUCK."
Akechi heard a sound coming from the subway tunnel and knew that the train had arrived.
"Guess I'll worry about it later then. I'll get this case file done and pass it on to Prosecutor Niijima this afternoon. I'll deal with the Shirogane stuff tomorrow."
Goro Akechi walked into the subway car and began contemplating what he could do to Shido for revenge and he could almost hear the familiar laughter of his Persona Loki echo in his head.
"You'll see soon Father, how much pain you have delivered upon me will be done upon you." Akechi thought, smiling evilly when the subway went through a dark spot and he almost saw his eyes shine gold in the window of the subway.
Hey, Fates here again. I just wanted to clarify a few things that are kinda gonna be retconned going from here on. Originally I had this planned to take place in 2020 to be more modern but I decided to stick closer to the normal timeline of 2009 for P3, 2011 for P4 instead of 14 like I was going for with Golden, and 2016 for P5 which puts a 2-year difference between 3 and 4 and 5 years between 4 and 5. I am going to bring up modern things as jokes or implications but nothing too breaking. One more thing I want to mention is the other Projects I'm working on. I have been planning in the time that I've been gone and making this chapter, an entire planned canon around this that will be shown at a much later date but I will be working on the Puzzle Pieces alongside FTA almost like Marvel's What If has been. I will put my projects below and I hope to hear your thoughts if you have the time to leave a review. I am almost guaranteed to reply when I have time. Have a good day everyone! -FatesAwakener
Project JADE- Coming very soon.
Project Dark Flow- Down the Pipeline but eventually.
Project Archavios- After Jade is finished.
