My Pov
We made our way into the Forest of Focus and started looking around. Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle seemed to have taken a liking to Lenny, Bruce and David.
"Do we even have a clue what these guys look like?" Ashley asked.
"Just look for anyone who looks shady." Constance answered. We walked around before hearing a series of whimpers at different octaves. The three Pokémon Mustard had given us ran ahead. We followed close behind and soon found the source. There were two people, a man and a woman standing over a net that had several Pokémon trapped underneath it. They all looked beat up just like Eevee and Absol. Next to them was a large white sack.
"Look at all the rare Pokémon we've captured James! The boss is sure to give us a big bonus!" the woman said.
"And with all the PokéBalls we stole, we can sell them and make a quick buck!" the man said. That's when a cat Pokémon jumped on top of the net.
"Didn't think we'd nab this many Pokémon. Too bad that Absol and Eevee got away." the cat said. So they did! They stole the PokéBalls from the dojo and they hurt those Pokémon.
"Hey crooks!" Bruce yelled. The adults snapped their attention to us. "Get off those Pokémon!" The adults looked at each other and then laugh.
"And what are you going to do about, squirt?" the woman named Jessie said. Uh oh. One thing Bruce and Wally had in common; they HATED being called any version of 'short'.
"Squirt?!" Bruce snapped. That's when he looked toward Charmander. "Charmander, Ember attack!" Charmander's tail flame grew a little before it jumped into the air. It then spun around quickly and a small stream of fire flew from its tail flame at the adults. They and the cat jumped around trying to dodge the flames, but they ultimately got burned.
"No one makes a fool out of Team Rocket!" the man named James said. "Meowth, get them!"
"Right!" the cat named Meowth said. "Fury Swipes attack!" His nails glowed and then grew.
"Squirtle, Tackle!" David commanded. Squirtle rammed into Meowth, sending him back toward Team Rocket, knocking them over as well.
"Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip and send them flying!" Lenny commanded. Two vines came from Bulbasaur's bulb and wrapped around the three of them. Bulbasaur then began to swing them around several times before letting go.
"Squirtle, push them far with Water Gun!" David commanded. A spout of water came from Squirtle's mouth and sent Team Rocket flying away.
"Quick, everyone grab a Pokémon and let's head back for the dojo!" Nigel said. Everyone except me and him picked up one of the Pokémon. Both Nigel and I picked up the sack and carried it. We hurried back with the three Pokémon running ahead of us to get Miss Honey and Mustard. We got to the dojo just as Miss Honey and Mustard were coming out.
"Oh my goodness!" Miss Honey exclaimed.
"Get them inside quickly!" Mustard ordered. Everyone ran ahead with injured Pokémon while Miss Honey helped us bring in the sack. We followed her lead to a room. I looked and saw a boy I guessed was her son.
"Hyde, sweetie! These two and their friends manage to recover your collection!" Miss Honey said. The boy turned and his eyes widen.
"Oh, thank you!" he said, opening the sack and allowing different varieties of PokéBalls to flow out. "Perfect! I can organize them. Thank you again!" He then set to work. Miss Honey gently ushered us out of the room.
"He's always like that." she simply said. We came into the main room where everyone was attending to one of the Pokémon; David to Ralts, Ashley to Swablu, Lenny to Weedle, Constance to Shuppet, Hoagie to Emolga, Kuki to Buneary, Wally to Crabrawler and Abby to Hatenna. "Why don't you two tend to Absol and Eevee?" Nigel helped with Absol, Connie helped with Numel and I helped with Eevee. By the end of the day, I fell in love with the fluffy little Pokémon. It was so cute! I wished I could take it with me, but it belonged here and when I go home, it couldn't come with me. I wasn't the only one to bond with the Pokémon in care either, everyone had.
"Well, it's getting late. Children, I think its best you stay here tonight. I've gotten in contact with an old student of mine and he's willing to lend a helping hand. Tomorrow, you'll take the Corviknight Cab to Wedgehurst." Mustard said. We nodded. We helped his wife to set out some sleeping mats. We all crawled under the blankets and did our best to fall asleep. I hope Marty and our parents aren't panicking right now. Morning came and each of the Pokémon woke us up. We all ate breakfast and got dressed. We stepped outside and turned to say goodbye. We bowed our heads to show gratitude.
"Thank you for taking us in for the night and for getting us help." Nigel said. We all looked at the Pokémon, who all looked sad.
"You all be careful now." I said. We then turned and walked toward the cab station. "I'm gonna miss Eevee. She's so cute!"
"How do you know its a 'she'?" Wally asked.
"Miss Honey told me some Pokémon have different markings on them to show their gender. Eevee's is the pattern on its tail." I said.
"Yeah, and some Pokémon are only male or female, like Hatenna." Abby added.
"Shuppet is really cute too." Constance said.
"So Swablu." Ashley said.
"Ralts is really cool with its psychic powers." David said.
"Aron is cool too. It looks like it could take on any opponent." Bruce said.
"Weedle is tough too, despite its size." Lenny said.
"Buneary reminds me of all my stuff animals back home." Kuki said.
"I like how Emolga is able to glide without much effort." Hoagie said.
"Crabrawler's awesome! I can tell it can pack a punch if it wanted to." Wally said.
"Absol is strong, that much is certain." Nigel said. Right as we got to the station, collective of cries came from behind us. We all turned to see the Pokémon running toward each of us. They each jumped toward the one they bonded with. We all managed to catch them.
"What's wrong?" I asked. That's when Miss Honey and Mustard came up to us.
"It seems these little ones want to go with you all." Mustard said.
"But... what about when we go home?" David asked.
"What about it?" Mustard asked back.
"We couldn't take them with us." Bruce said.
"But are you going to let that stop you from forging strong bonds with them now?" Mustard asked. We all looked at each other and then at the Pokémon.
"You're right." we all said. That's when Miss Honey held out her hands. In them were PokéBalls. We each took one we liked; I took the Love Ball, David took the Friend Ball, Bruce took the Heavy Ball, Ashley took the Moon Ball, Lenny took the Fast Ball, Constance took the Level Ball, Nigel took the Premier Ball, Hoagie took the Ultra Ball, Kuki took the Heal Ball, Wally took the Quick Ball and Abby took the Great Ball. We each enlarged the ball and held them out. "Do you want to be my partner?" Each Pokémon respond by hitting the PokéBalls and be absorbed into them in a red light. The balls wiggled three times before going out with a chime. We were then handed five of the same PokéBalls. Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle decided to go with Lenny, Bruce and David. We said one final goodbye and thank you before heading to the cabs. We each let our Pokémon out and took in the view as we flew to Wedgehurst.
They'll meet Ash and Goh in the next chapter or the chapter after that. Here's my question to all of you; should they take part in the World Coronation Series from the anime or the Badge Challenge from the game? I feel they should do the Badge Challenge as being part of the Coronation Series might cause a lot of confusion.
