First Encounter
So yeah. I'm not dead. Just almost. I got covid and spend a good number of time bedridden so... Yeah
And when I was cured. I lost interest in writing anything.
It was also because I found out that I made a ton of dumb mistakes in a few early chapters. Making me feel like writing really isn't my thing.
I have a really high standard when it came to reading materials so I would expect the same quality when I write them but it seems like it was impossible.
I sucked at exposition and description. The only thing I'm fairly confident about is dialogue.
But then I realized that I write this mostly for fun and making mistakes are inevitable so I'll hope I can become better along with this Fic.
Anyway, If you want the chapters to come out faster then review your supports. They are treasures to me.
Criticism is fine too but please goes easy on me. I have a weak heart(more like lung now, but you get the point)
Well that's all, please enjoy
1 month later
A little after the school bell rang, informing the end of the day.
Shirou was sitting in the Student Council Room fixing the broken air-conditioned.
Honestly. He thought that these days of him being a goodie-two shoe was long over. But reality just has to prove that he's wronged.
The first day of school was quite hectic in his own opinion.
The class he was in have 90% girls and the moment he walked in and introduced himself. The class erupted into a frenzy.
Some girls commented on his outer appearance while the others bombarded him with questions like "if he has a girlfriend" or "his preference in a girl",...etc while completely disregarding the homeroom teacher. This baffled him to no end.
It took a while to calm down the hectic classroom full of hormone induce teenage girls in their heyday.
They couldn't completely be blamed though. Despite the fact that the school has opened its door for male students. The incident involving the expulsion of 2 boys for peeping has caused everything around to be rather… dulled for the lack of a better word.
While the 2 boys' behavior was maybe ethically and lawfully questionable. They were what you'd called a source of entertainment for the student bodies, a necessary evil, one might call it. However, it would seem that the school didn't see it as such.
After their expulsion, all male students took that incident as a warning for them to get in line or else. So the male population rarely did anything remotely intimate with the other girls in school in fear of getting expelled. Making school life a little bored for both the females and the males populate.
The appearance of a transfer student was quite a hot topic around the school. Especially so when the boy in question had such an exotic appearance like himself.
Shirou was brain-dead when it came to a romantic relationship. But after Sakura, his horizon had been opened a bit and now he can finally tell a few signs when a girl is interested in him, albeit, very few but it is certainly a step up from his former self. Especially when these girls just straight up confess sometimes and he was left in a bind between not wanting to hurt their feeling and betraying Sakura.
But in the end, the choice was obvious. He declined all advanced toward him, saying that he'd already had a girlfriend. But if his perception was correct then some of those girls haven't given up yet.
To be honest, he had no idea why they are so interested in him despite the low population of male students. His red-haired and golden brown eyes aside. All he did was helping out other students and staff just like he'd done back in his old world.
Back then, the best the girls would do was made him lunch and stay to chat with him while he was working, until he started using Structure Grasp that he needed to work alone. No girls would show interest in him when he was helping out all those times (except for Sakura, he's aware now).
Well,… none that he would know of, though.
The only thing that was keeping these girls from the boredom before his arrival was talking about the Prince of Kuoh Academy - Yuuto Kiba. A handsome young man with short blond hair, blue eyes, and a mole underneath his left eye. He always looks so calm and collected that they called him titles like Prince and Knight.
But even Yuuto Kiba paled in comparison to the 2 top beauties of the academy: Rias Gremory and Akeno Himejira.
Rias was a beautiful foreign young woman with green-blue eyes and long, beautiful crimson hair that reaches down to her thighs with a single hair strand (ahoge) sticking out from the top.. Her hair also has loose bangs covering her forehead and side bangs framing her face.
Akeno Himejira was of the same level of beauty but more toward the traditional Japanese beauty with "unnature" violet eyes and long, beautiful black hair usually tied in a long ponytail, reaching all the way down to her legs with two strands sticking out from the top and sloping backward, with an orange ribbon keeping it in place.
Both of them has a voluptuous body and buxom figure. Especially their bust-sized that would give Sakura a run for her money.
'Ahem'
Anyway. These three stand out the most in Kuoh Academy and what a "coincidence" that they were all demonic in origin. Though Akeno seemed to be more than that as he could also smell a distinguish dirty feather from her for some reason.
Adding in Sona Sitri – the President of the Student Council and we had 4 supernatural beings occupying this Academy.
There were also others like Koneko Toujou, the School Mascot.
Shinra Tsubaki, with distinctive Heterochromic eyes. Violet (Left-eye), Light Brown (Right-eye)
Momo Hanakai, with white hair and blue-green eyes
Genshirou Saji, with blond hair and grey eyes
And the Tomboy Bishonen Tsubasa Yura.
Making the total number of 9 supernatural beings in an Academy from a small town Kuoh.
….
'It's like the Holy Grail War bullshit all over again, with most people from the Moonlit World focused on a single school. What is this with school and the world of supernatural!'
"Ouch," he winced. Being emotional made him mess up the wiring and cut himself in the finger. Blood started to drip down from his finger but almost immediately healed.
This is something that he had been wondering about himself since the Holy Grail War. For some reason, his body heals faster than normal people since he was a child. He'd never put much thought into it since he thought everyone else was the same.
But if what Rin told him about cannibalizing his own nerve into a makeshift circus to perform magecraft was anything to go by. He was supposed to be dead long ago. And yet he'd lived for over a decade doing just that.
Not to mention getting stabbed in the heart by Lancer and ripped apart by Berserker and then immediately heal the next day.
Not until half a month ago, after he started to experience the dream-cycle – the side effect of implanting Archer's arm into his that he finally realized the reason for his "unnatural" healing ability.
Avalon – The Everdistant Utopia, Saber's Sheath. It was implanted in him by Kiritsugu Emiya to save him from the fire caused by the corrupted Holy Grail 10 years ago.
It was crazy, really. To think such a powerful defensive Noble Phantasm was inside him all along. It explained why he wasn't dead while trying to cannibalize his own nerve because of its healing factor. It also explained how he summoned Saber in the first place.
*Sigh*
Saber… he hoped she can forgive him for being a terrible Master. Despite the fact that they tried to kill each other. It was obvious that none take pleasure in doing so.
'Saving someone means not able to save someone else'
Both of them chose aside and it just so happened to be against each other.
…
Speaking of Archer's dream cycle. Knowing the kind of fate he would face if he kept on holding to that idea till the very end was quite unsettling and disturbing, but also relieving at the same time.
He had chosen differently. Different from his alternate future self, he had chosen the path that would save and bring happiness to the one he loved the most over the entire world. And he would never regret it.
'Because it's never wrong to help those closest to you first'
The door of the room opened as Sona Sitri walked in
"How is it Emiya-kun, can it be fixed"
"It's good now Kaichou, it was just a wiring problem. The air-conditioned should be good to go"
"You have my thanks Emiya-kun. If not for your assistant then I'd have to waste the school budget to replace a new one. And I don't like to be wasteful." Sona said, showing how seriously she was about the matter.
"Anytime Kaichou. I'm always happy to help" the redhead reply well naturally
"Not only have we of the Student Council ask you for help on multiple occasions, but you also help others Club as well, without asking for anything in return. That's very gracious of you"
"I'm just trying to be helpful, nothing commendable about it" Shirou just shrugged
"And humble as always. Really Emiya-kun, you'll be taken advantage of someday if you keep acting like this, you know."
"So I have been told"
"The offer still stand Emiya-kun. The door to the Student Council will always open for someone of your character."
Shirou smiled wryly at this. Sona's been trying to get him to join the Council for a week now
"I'm sorry Kaichou, you know I have a part-time job"
"That's fine. You can join without doing much work from the Student Council, just keep on doing what you've been doing will be enough."
Sona gave a good offer. By joining the Student Council. He could observe them more closely. But alas, there was one "TINY" problem.
In his second week in this world, he could tell who was of demonic origin and who was not. And he sure as hell knew that Genshirou Saji was a human before suddenly he somehow turned into a demonic being.
He had approached the boy to see if there was anything strange about him after his transformation.
And to his surprise, the boy acted normally and not in any way being mind control or blackmail. In fact, the boy looked exhilarated more than ever before.
He didn't know what happened, but he did know that this transformation happened when Saji joined the Student Council – one of the supernatural dens.
The fact that he was in the Student Council, fixing air-conditioned was taking a lot of risks. But he couldn't deny their requests while accepting others. It would just make him more suspicious.
"I'll think about it, Kaichou." For now, he would leave the answer vague
"Very well, then. And I know I sound like a broken record but if you ever need any help. Come to us, we'll do anything in our power to assist you" Somehow it felt like she was implying something more than just being late for school or skipping classes.
"Duly noted," the redhead said as he exited the room
Scene Break
The moment Shirou stepped out of the room. Sona's disposition becomes even more serious. She looked at the fixed air-conditioned and sense no trace of magic whatsoever, however…
She began to chant.
A small magic circle came into existence. The spell she used has the ability to detect any form of supernatural phenomenon. This was her final card to confirm something she's been doubting about all this time.
The magic circle spun around the air-conditioned and no sooner did it begin to glow. Albeit very dim, but it was there.
It was so small and minuscule that it was impossible to detect without an intricate spell like she was using. A very small trace of mana in the air-conditioned.
She had been suspicious of Shirou since the day he came to school.
The first flag was his sudden transfer to the school. The fact that no one came out to confirm when asked about his background check and paperwork made it seem like he forcefully transferred to this school with her knowing nothing about it. Even though she owned the place.
The second was that on his very first day at school. He started asking people around about the members of the Occult Club and the Student Council. If anyone asks why. his excuse was that he was interested in joining.
Though even without any reason whatsoever. The students were more than happy to inform him. With a school consisting of 90% girls, gossip was basically unavoidable. They even gave unrelated information to his questions since most members of these 2 groups were basically the school's celebrities.
The third was that despite showing "interest" in joining. He actively avoid the Student Council's and the Occult Club's members when they looked for him to help with their club room's equipments until he got "caught". She wouldn't have noticed if not for the fact that she'd set her eyes on him from the start.
The fourth when she offered him to join the Student Council because of his good manner, helpful attitude, humble disposition… Also, so that she could observe him more closely and if she deemed him worthy enough, she planned on bringing him into her Peerage.
He declined her offer. Saying that he had a part-time job.
Now, why would he show interest in joining when he kept avoiding the members of every club he wanted to join and having a job outside, making him attending any club activities impossible.
This could all be her being paranoid as people showing interest in something and then no more later on wasn't something rare. And avoiding these members could also be him afraid of causing an incident, not intentionally of course, and get expelled since most of the members consisted of mostly (beautiful)girls.
Even the transferred incident could be boiled down to human error as mistakes happen all the time. And his "normal" background she read in his file that look suspiciously like her own could be just that.
Normal.
However, her instinct said otherwise. There was something about this redhead that made him different from the rest and she will definitely find out about it.
And today. Her instinct was confirmed to be true.
Sona adjusted her glasses, light reflecting off of them, making her look mysterious.
'It seems that we have a Magician in the house'
Scene break
It's only been about an hour after the bell rang, so there were still students bustling around.
Shirou was heading to the school gate. His excuse of having a part-time job to decline Sona's offer wasn't a lie. He found a local old dining restaurant near the park and work as a chef there.
The Dinning was owned by a pair of an old couple near theirs 50s. They were very kind and once they taste his food. They hired him on the spot.
'I guess food flavor is a universal thing '
Since he started working there. The amount of customers has been increasing. The business was booming for the old couple. They even offer him a raise after only 2 weeks of work.
He declined of course. He wasn't tight on money. He worked because he enjoyed cooking and the more he cooked, the more he felt like he was closer to Sakura.
…
He hoped that she's alright. Although Zelretch said that he will bring the red-head back the moment he had left. He still feels worried.
While thinking about Sakura, he suddenly felt an intense gaze bore down on him from the old school building. It was quite far away but he can still sense it.
If he remembered correctly, that was the direction of the Occult Club Room.
He whipped his head to the left and see into the distance. A normal human would only see a blurry figure from afar but not him. Even without magecraft, his eyesight can still see very clearly from this distance.
A figure of beauty with long red hair was looking at him.
Their eyes met and stay like that for a few seconds. Then she smiled and began to wave
Shirou pretended not to notice and kept on walking. If she asked later, he'd just said that he was looking at a flock of birds or something and chalked it all up as a mere coincidence.
He felt like he was being watched by the Occult club for a week now after a certain incident happened on the rooftop.
He still wasn't sure how to approach the supernatural world in this school just yet.
Scene break
'Now that was rude' thought Rias as she saw the figure of the red-head that she had recently taken an interest in walking away without greeting her back. Contrary to her thought though, a fond smile was still placated on her face.
She wasn't mad by any means. On the contrary, she's even more interested now.
"Did something good happen, Rias?" Akeno asked from the side
"Nothing. Just wondering about this and that."
"Does this and that by any chance be the recent transfer student"
"Ara, Akeno. I didn't know you can read people's minds. You should have told me if you have such a convenience ability" Rias joked
"Ara, if I have such a thing then my mind would be filled with Emiya-kun's images whenever I was with you" Akeno shot back
"Hehe. Can you blame me? He's such a mysterious person that I can't help it. Girls really dig a man of mystery, huh"
"He certainly is. But after hearing what Koneko has to say about him then the word 'abnormal' would be more fitting, don't you think"
"Perhaps" Rias agreed
Her mind began to wander back to 1 week ago. When she was doing some paperwork in the Occult Club. Koneko came in and reported something ridiculous.
Her story began with her just wandering around the school campus at lunchtime.
Normally, she would just hang out with her club member or be taken away by the students, so they could play dress-up with her. She secretly enjoyed being dressed up by the students as they often put her in a cute outfit.
That day was no different. Except they planned to dress her up as a puppy this time. She didn't like a dog, so she escaped. After escaping the students, she suddenly smelled a heavenly aroma on the rooftop.
Her instinct kicked in as she climbed all the way up to the rooftop without using the stairs. She couldn't be bothered if someone was going to see her.
'Food. Eat. Food. Eat. Food. Eat. Food. Eat. Food. Eat. Food. Eat. Food. Eat…'
Was what going through her mind right now
A human wouldn't be able to make out what they saw anyway since she was moving really fast.
She climbed up to the roof in no time and look for the source of the heavenly smell, her mouth was dripping with saliva as she has never smelled food this good in the human world.
Soon she saw the source of the aroma was a bento box. She jumped straight to the target and began to devour it. Not even notice anything else there.
It took her only 20 seconds to eat the hold thing.
It was the best food she'd ever had in her life
But when she finished the food, her nose picked up something else. This time, it wasn't food she was smelling but something supernatural.
The scent was more intense now that she had devoured the food.
A scent of Steel, Fire, and something else that was so faint that she couldn't be sure if it was there.
Dragon.
The first 2 scent was so overwhelming and intense, she felt like she was in a forge. She almost didn't recognize that there was a third
It was only now that she realized a figure was towering over her. She looked up and her eyes met with golden-brown eyes of a frowning redhead. He looked more confused than angry. They stared at each other for a while then the boy finally spoke
"That was mine" His voice didn't feel indignant because his lunch box was eaten by someone else. It sounded more like he was informing her of a fact that she failed to notice
"Delicious" Koneko said in her usual monotone voice. She didn't know what else to say.
"So I have noticed" he replied
They stayed silent for a while as the wind blew from the rooftop. Koneko has no idea what she should say now because of her social ineptitude. The boy kept looking at her. She had no idea why but his eyes suddenly became darken. The look gave her a familiar feeling as if she was scolded by her sis…
Koneko froze at that
"Goodbye," She quickly made a dash to the roof's door. Escaping.
She couldn't have known that at that moment when her hair was fluttering in the wind. The image of a certain while hair sister that he was just found out about overlapped with Koneko's own.
He didn't even notice the girl left as his mind was now remembering someone he also cherish back in his world. And was being angry with himself for forgetting her.
He hoped that she was okay
Later on, when school ended that she remembered to report to Rias about what happened. She was so shaken that she almost forgot. She didn't tell them about 'it' of course. She doesn't want them to be worried over nothing.
As Rias recounted what Koneko had reported to her.
At first, Rias couldn't help but feel overjoyed as a possible Sacred Gear Dragon owner has entered her ground. She couldn't wait to recruit him. The more powerful pieces she had the better.
But then she frowned. Something said by Koneko finally caught up by her rational side. Koneko said she smelled Steel, Fire, and Dragon.
'However. That doesn't make sense.
Dragon and Fire is obviously not the problem.
The problem was the combo with Dragon and Steel
The dragon was the ruler of the sky. They were strong and powerful. Some can even take on a powerful faction in the supernatural world or become an entire faction themself. However, even the Almighty Dragon had weaknesses.
These 3 main weaknesses are Poison, Cursed, and Steel.
Although there were Poison Dragon and Cursed Dragon before. But there had never been any record about a Steel Dragon.
Saying Steel was a Dragon's weakness wasn't entirely accurate.
It was what Steel was usually made in the old days.
SWORD
All well-known Dragon's story was about how they were evil and was slain by heroes in shining armor...
Wielding a SWORD
Seigfield, Sir Lancelot, Saint George,… just to name a few.
A special one of course but the concept of the sword is always accompanied by steel
Because of these legends, Steel became a weakness to dragons. Giving people a small 'edge' against the Almighty Dragon Race.
Bottom line. Dragon and Steel just don't mix.
That was a natural conclusion.
A common sense.
Yet, Shirou Emiya proved this wrong by just existing.
'Could it be that he was a descendent of a dragon and human? Koneko also said that he felt like a human but at the same time not.'
'Even if the chance was improbable, after all, Dragon despite human, to them, human is nothing more than an ant. However, if Shirou Emiya was a hybrid then it would mean that he was a very distant descendant from the first dragon-human child. That would explain why he has a faint dragon scent as Koneko had mentioned before. But this still doesn't explain why there are Steel in him and really strong as that if what Koneko said was anything to go by.'
'There was also a possibility that Koneko made a mistake. She did say that the scent of Dragon was very faint that she wasn't entirely sure.
But if she didn't then,
…
'Haizz.'
For the time being, she'd put him on surveillance. Although, somehow he knew she was watching him.
She really wanted to recruit him but his existence prove to be too abnormal that it made her hesitate. This proved just how absurd Shirou Emiya was.
She also needed to make a decision fast. As Sona seemed to have eyes on him as well.
'That greedy woman, didn't she just boast to me not long ago that she got a Dragon King Sacred Gear user!'
'Dammit'
This sour her good mood.
She started to take off her clothes and went to take a shower in her private bath in the Occult Club Room.
'Whatever, I'll think of something later'
*Scene break
Shirou was walking down the street of Kuoh Town.
The town was plain and simple but it was peaceful. Pedestrian was walking around talking peacefully, car was just passing by and he could hear honking here and there. Everybody was minding their own business without causing each other's problems
It has the same feeling and atmosphere as Fuyuki City.
Perhaps more similar than he would like as sometimes he can sense demonic presence lurking around in the shadow. Since there hasn't been any news of missing or dead people. He left them alone and did not interfere.
He still needs to work on his magecraft and study more into his alternate future memory so that he can have a better chance of saving this world.
Since Bounded Field was one of those magecrafts that wasn't restricted to him due to his Origin and Element.
The first thing he learned was making a proper Bounded Field around his mansion using Archer's memory.
The way to do it was actually not that hard. Even a third rate like him can make one.
However, he learned the hard way that just because you 'know' how to make something, didn't mean that you can do it in practice.
The first Bounded Field he tried to make was Detection, but it somehow blew up in his face hard. Literally
He got second-degree burned both on his left arm and face. Luckily, Avalon worked its magic and he was fine 2 hours later.
The next time he tried, he wore a full-plated armor and helmet, making him look like a medieval knight straight out of Arthurian legend.
It took him quite a lot to properly Trace this set of armor but not as much as he would think.
It would seem that Magecraft was much easier to use in this world due to the lack of Gaia's presence and the dense amount of Mana in the air.
His Projection also last longer than it should be and when he took a closer look. He found that the dense Mana in the air was actually keeping them in place, not letting them deteriorate at all. Unless he gave a mental command for them to disappear. He theorized that they would stay in this world forever.
As expected from the Age of Gods.
Anyway, after 4 failed attempts, he finally was able to make a somewhat workable Bounded Field. But the moment he was done, someone tripped on it and alert him to the people outside his house.
He went to check and realized there were two police officers standing outside.
It would seem that the explosion had garnered some attention and some of the concerned neighbors called for the police to check.
He greeted the police with a wry smile as they questioned him on what he was doing. He lied that he was testing some of his father's old fireworks.
The police mistook his expression when he terribly attempted to lie as feeling guilty and believing him.
...Also, he brib…uh negotiated with the police with some of his leftover cookies he made the other day. He believed this was the main reason why they left him off the hook with just a warning.
Later on, he added a Sound Proof effect to the Bounded Field. He should have done this first.
'That was really embarrassing'
On his way to the local diner. He crossed a bridge.
Halfway through, he stopped and pretended to sightsee the street below.
He has been followed by someone since he left the vicinity on the school grounds.
He wanted to see if this person would keep themselves hidden or approach him. And from the scent he was picking up, it was the same person that had been tailing him for days now.
He got tired of it.
After a while, the scent came closer to him.
'It would seem that they finally wanted to make contact'
It's possible that they were here to recruit him. Seeing that he was not affiliated with any organization for the time being.
He didn't really know what they want nor the organization they belong to. All he knew was that they had the scent of the dirty feathers, the same scent as Akeno Himejira.
If they were good then he would later inform them of the incoming doom of this world. If not then…
Honestly, he didn't want to get involved if possible.
As they approached. He pretended to finally notice their presence.
What he saw was a cute girl in the same age group as him with long black hair and a pair of violet eyes.
"Excuse me" She called out to him
"Yes. Can I help you?"
"Um… My name is Amano Yuuma and... I know this is a bit sudden but…." She said with a slight blush on her face
If she asked him about his affiliation to the Moonlit World. What should he say? Should he acknowledge his awareness of the supernatural world? Or should he just play dumb?
The latter seemed hard since they had been tailing him for a while now. There was no reason to do so unless they knew he was somehow involved.
As for the former, what should he tell her? How much should he tell her?
'Maybe I should just tell her what I once said to Tohsaka should be enough right?'
But what she said next threw him out of the loop
"Will you go out with me?!" She timidly said bowing her head
"…What" was his intelligent reply
'Wait. Is this some kind of "code" in the supernatural that I don't know about?'
He was in a different world after all, so that was a possibility
"Well. I've been noticing you for a while now… and you are so kind and gentle. You help people with such a sweet smile that I can't help but…but fallen for you"
"Is…that so? Um.. Sorry but I've already had a girlfriend"
"No.. No way" she said dishearteningly
"Sorry. But I'm sure you can find someone better than me. You're really cute after all"
Let's let her down easy and be on my way. It would seem that she was just another victim to the "Heart Breaker" as the female students had dubbed him.
"That's a shame… Umm. But before you leave. Can you accompany me for a while? Just a little bit.. please?" She looked up at him with a pleading look.
Damn, he can't refuse her. It would make him feel like he kicked a puppy if he denied her request.
It would be another hour before he had to work anyway so …
"Sure. That's the least I can do"
"Ah. Thank you so much" She immediately jumped up happily
…
As they walked side by side. Yuuma asked him a lot of questions about his personal life. His hobby, his favorite Tv show, his preference for a girl,...etc
She asked so much that he didn't even get a chance to ask her anything and just gave her a vague answer here or there.
It felt more like she was interrogating him and was trying to fish for some kind of slip-up.
He was getting uncomfortable.
As they strolled into the park, he felt like he just walked through a Bounded Field. It was then that he noticed there was no one else around but him and Yuuma.
He stopped and was immediately on guard.
But Yuuma kept on walking toward a fountain.
"Can you do something for me Emiya-san?" She asked as she strolled
"What is this" Shirou replied. More on guard than before as he sensed murderous intense from Yuumi's words
She spun around with her hand behind her back and leaned over. The pose would have turned on many men.
But her face was one's of sinister.
"Can you die for me?" She said with a wicked smile and began to transform.
Her uniform turned into a tight cloth that cover only the important parts of her body, turning her innocent look previously into a sadistic dominatrix. A pair of black wings spread behind her back as she finished. Each of them is wide about 2 meters.
As she was busy transforming. Shirou has already dropped his backpack and shifted into his fighting stance. Blueprints of his 2 favor falchons appeared in his head. Ready to be projected at any time.
"Why do you want me dead," Shirou asked calmly. He showed no fear
"Ara. And here I thought you were clueless. So you've already in the know" Yuuma said casually as if Shirou was of no threat to her "…but so what? Even then there is nothing you can do against a Fallen Angel like me. You're just a lowly human." her voice was filled with disdain toward him.
"If you want to blame someone, blame him for giving you a Sacred Gear" 'Yuuma' finished as she formed a twisted light spear in her hand and threw it toward the red-head.
In a flash, Bakuya appeared in his right hand and he deflected it to the side with ease.
"What? So you can already use your Sacred Gear. Humm. Is this [Sword Birth].. no someone else already has it so that means… Your Sacred Gear is [Blade Blacksmith]. It grants the user to create light-attribute blades."
"Haaah. And to think Lord Azazel was so worried as to have me keep an eye on you. What a joke."
'I have no idea what she's talking about but she seemed to be mistaken my magecraft for some kind of… Sacred Gear? And this "Sacred Gear" is granted from someone?'
'And by the look of it, there are more than 1 type of Sacred Gear'
'Also she mentioned one Azazel, is that her boss? Did he notice me somehow?'
'Okay. This is good. She is giving out information as she likes. She seems to be the type that likes to boost. I should try to get more from her before I defeat her'
"Wouldn't your boss and organization be mad if you killed me? They told you to keep an eye on me, not to kill right I can be of use since I can make weapons for you, you know?"
"Humm. That's true. Light-attribute weapons would be good to use against the Devils and the Grigori doesn't have just Fallen Angels either…" Yuuma seemed to finally put her head to work. And then her eyes flashed
"…However, only the Sacred Gear itself is what we want, you on the other hand. We don't need." She said with an evil smirk "I've changed my mind. I won't be killing you now, I'll just knock you out and take the Sacred Gear from you later. Fuhahaha…Oh. Lord Azazel will definitely praise me for this"
'Wow. She really likes to brag, isn't she?'
He had obtained quite an amount of information already.
So those students from the Student Council and Occult Club that emitted demonic presence were Devils.
Fallen Angels and Devils didn't seem to get along
There was an organization named Grigori containing Fallen Angels and others, one of its leaders was named Azazel.
Finally, Sacred Gear can be taken away somehow. Possibly a ritual of some kind as she required me to be alive rather than dead to do so.
'That's about what I get from this exchange, I'd like for more but this seemed to be enough for now. I'll try to get more once I capture her'
The moment this thought finished 'Yuuma' charged at Shirou with another newly created spear in her hand and performed an overhead slash, most likely aiming to knock him out quickly.
Shirou diverged the slash and kicked her hard in the stomach. Sending her dozens of meters away and crash into a tree, making a ton of leaves fall down.
'Yuuma' was surprised, she didn't expect him to so casually push her attack aside like that and counter-attack at that.
She was furious.
"You dare! You lowly human. Die" She screamed bloody murder as multiple twisted spears appeared around her and shot at the magus.
Shirou just jumped around to dodge and block the incoming spears.
He wanted to drag this out a bit. To see what a Fallen Angel was capable of and then devise a countermeasure in the future. Yuuma seemed to be the perfect opponent for this.
"Dammit! Stop jumping around, you cur!"
Yuuma was frustrated, she was throwing her spear as fast as she could now yet the lowly human could still dodge and deflect them.
After a while. Shirou felt a bit disappointed.
'Is this all?'
Don't get him wrong. Shirou was being very serious since this was his first battle in the new world and the Age of God at that. So he reinforced himself to the limit from the start. But to his disappointment, the spears coming at him were just… too slow.
They might be fast for a normal human but Shirou was definitely not one of them.
And compare to the supersonic speed Gilgamesh launched his Noble Phantasms from his Gate of Babylon at an even shorter distance from one of the memory he got from Archer.
This was nothing.
After getting used to it, Shirou only lightly reinforces his body and eyes to block the light spears with only Bakuya.
"WHY?! Why?! Why can't I hit you" Yuuma snarled
She had already abandoned the plan to take him alive. This human was dangerous. She needed to eliminate him at all caused
As she thought of this, Shirou was beginning to get closer to her and with a burst of speed. He got right next to her and hit her neck with the dull edge of Bakuya.
She dropped instantly.
He was about to trace a chain to tie her up, then suddenly he felt bloodlust and instinctively jump to the side.
The position he stood before exploded by 2 light spears. But they came from behind him. Not Yuuma.
'There was more than one' Shirou stated in his mind
"That was embarrassing to be defeated by a human, Raynare," Said a man descended next to the unconscious 'Yuuma'.
No. that's a fake name. Her real name should be what the man had just said: Raynare.
He was a middle-aged-looking man with short black hair and dark blue eyes.
His attire consisted of a pale gray trench coat over a white dress shirt with a matching ascot, black pants and shoes, a pair of black gloves, and a black fedora.
"It looks like this human is more dangerous than we had thought"
"We'll be retreating for now. Be seeing you again boy" Right after he finished his sentences. A magic circle flashed and he disappeared along with Raynare."
'Damn. They got away'
Shirou began to survey his surroundings and found that a part of the park became wreaked due to his battle with Raynare. Mostly her fault since he was just evading and blocking.
He felt a little bad for the normal folks that would have to deal with this but it can't be helped. He couldn't fix it as Tousaka did with his window when they first met after the Holy War began.
He picked up his backpack and ran out of there as the Bounded Field appeared to have worn off.
From a distance away, a bat was looking at the running red-head. Its eyes glowed an abnormal crimson.
"Interesting."
