Sorry this update took so long. I wasn't happy with the last part of the chapter, so I ended up taking it out of the chapter before updating.
This is the last chapter that I had left from my blog, and I don't know when I'll be working on this story again since I've been focusing on my newer ones, but rest assured that I'll pick it up eventually. I just don't know when.
In any case, I hope you enjoy the read. It's finally reunion time! :D
To See You Again
Chapter Twelve: After All This Time
Was he dreaming? Was Videl actually right in front of him, only a few steps away? Or maybe he never woke up from his coma and was imagining all of this. It sounded more plausible than locking eyes with Videl right now.
It had to be a dream, Gohan kept telling himself. It was just too good to be true.
What did you have to do again to breathe properly? Gohan couldn't remember anymore. Not one coherent thought was able to make it to his brain. He just couldn't believe his eyes. He was simply unable to understand why or how Videl could be standing there, why she was looking at him with tears in her eyes, why she would even come to see him at the hospital when they were supposed to stay away from each other.
He had struggled so hard to keep his promise to her, holding on to the hope that one day the world would be peaceful again and he could finally be with her. He had battled with himself not to go see her all this time, even when all he wanted was to say "The hell with it!" then rush to her side and try to convince her that they were making a big mistake, that they were throwing away their chance at happiness. He had fought tooth and nail to stop himself from trying to win her back, from just grabbing her and never ever letting go.
It had been hell, keeping his promise to her. But he had done it. He had respected her wish and stayed away; impatiently waiting for her to be ready to accept his feelings. Hoping, praying that he wouldn't have to wait too long – yet ready to wait a lifetime if only it meant he got to be with the woman he loved in the end.
"Gohan…" Her voice was hoarse and raspy from the tears in her eyes. A smile was starting to curve her lips.
His heart was going for the world record for most beats per second, he was certain – it was the only explanation.
"Gohan! You're awake!"
Next thing he knew, Gohan was being glomped; small arms tightening around his neck. He blinked as he looked over his shoulder at the head of lavender hair, a big grin on his little brother's face as he hugged him from behind after having jumped on his back.
"I can't believe it," Trunks said, tears of joy and relief gathering in his big blue eyes. "I sensed you were awake the moment I got up this morning. I'm so happy! You're really awake! We've been going crazy from worrying about you. I'm so happy!"
A gentle smile tugged at his lips as he looked at the little boy, feeling a rush of love for his young friend. "Sorry for making you worry, Squirt. But I'm fine now. Even had the time to save a bunch of lives this morning," he added with a playful wink.
Trunks got off his back, his grin growing wider as he looked up at his mentor with adoration. Gohan patted his head affectionately, but his eyes shifted on their own to the spot Videl had been standing.
His heart sank. She was gone. Had it been a hallucination? An aftereffect of his coma?
But he caught the back of her head further down the hallway. His throat tightened. Why was she leaving…?
He felt like he just got punched in the gut. Gohan closed his eyes with a painful wince. Of course. Videl had probably just come to see him out of worry because she did care about him, but now that she had seen him up and well again, she had no reason to stay…
Back to waiting for the right time to be with her then… Damn it, he didn't want to wait anymore! Why couldn't they just be together? Why couldn't she accept that staying apart wasn't helping at all? He wasn't sure how she was taking it, but the pain of letting her go had never lessened, not one bit. It was trying his heart every day a little more, making him want to rip it out of his chest, if only it meant not feeling the agony gripping it a little tighter every second he was away from her.
"Gohan! Oh, my god, you're awake!"
His mother jumped in his arms. Gohan gave a mild smile as he hugged her back. Chichi started crying, the emotion of seeing her son finally up understandably too strong to hold it in.
He pushed aside his anguish to enjoy this moment with his family. Soon after Bulma joined them, scolding Trunks in a teasing tone for leaving without her as she gave Gohan a tight hug.
And then his heart stopped – for the second time in the past ten minutes.
"But where's Videl?"
It was none other than his own mother that asked the question, her head turning left and right, as though she expected to see Videl turn up any moment now.
Gohan's hands trembled. "Wha…?"
"Don't you know?" Chichi inquired, tilting her head at him. "She's been by your side all this time, holding your hand and hoping to be there when you woke up."
He forgot how to breathe. Was it one inhale two exhales? Two inhales and one exhale? Was he supposed to hold it for so long? How did his lungs work again? How did he manage to do it without a second thought until now?
"Yeah," Trunks nodded. "She said she's finally come to her senses." The boy grinned up at him. "She's ready to be with you, Gohan. She's not going to reject you anymore."
He couldn't believe his ears. What they were saying did not make any sense. Videl nearly lost her health and even her will to live because he couldn't stay away from her. She had been refusing his heart ever since she broke it to pieces, and while he had dreamed countless times for her to change her mind – there was just no way, she was too stubborn. She had convinced herself that it was the right thing to do, and while a part of him agreed, another part was constantly screaming in anguish, wishing she could just take him back.
But she wouldn't. She had been perfectly clear about it. She couldn't be with him, not while he spent his life putting it in danger as he battled to try and save the world any chance he got. He was a warrior, and she wasn't cut to make her life with someone who might die any day.
"Gohan?" Bulma got closer to him, a confused frown wrinkling her still youthful face despite her age. "Gohan, what's wrong? It's a good thing. Videl has come to her senses. She wants to be with you."
He willed his hands to stop shaking, and when he failed, closed them into fists. "It just…" Gohan shook his head, shutting his eyes tightly. "It just doesn't make any sense! How could she just change her mind like that? After all this time, after everything we've been through… It just doesn't make sense!"
Bulma put her hand on his shoulder and offered him a gentle smile. "But it's true, Gohan," she said, her voice soft, motherly. "Videl is ready, Gohan. Your wait is over. You can finally be with the woman you love."
"And I give you my blessing," Chichi added excitedly with stars in her eyes, joining her hands together. "I love her. She's perfect for you."
Gohan shook his head again. "It… It doesn't make sense. I don't get it. If what you're saying is true, then why did she leave just now?" he asked them, the hurt in his shaky voice unmistakable. "She was standing right there," He pointed at the spot he had locked eyes with Videl just before Trunks showed up, "She was right there looking at me one moment, and then she was gone. Why would she leave if she wanted to be with me? Maybe she thought she was ready but realized she wasn't." He let out a frustrated sigh. "I just can't believe she changed her mind after everything. It doesn't make sense."
"How about you go ask her then?" Trunks suggested with a knowing smile, his joined hands behind his head. "That's the only way to know for sure, isn't it?"
Bulma snickered. "My little boy is as clever as his mother." She looked at Gohan with a broad grin. "He's right, Gohan, that's the only way you'll know how she feels for sure, so why don't you just go to her?"
"I think she probably felt overwhelmed when she saw you," Chichi offered with a kind smile. "She's been praying for you to open your eyes for nearly three months, Gohan. It was probably too much for her to see you standing there all of a sudden."
"But you can only know for sure if you go to her," Bulma added.
He looked at the three of them, and, as terrified as he was to let himself hope again… Gohan had to know for sure.
And if they were right…
Oh god, what if they were right? What if… What if he could finally be with Videl, after all this time? After that long agony… Was his wait really over? Was he actually getting his happy ending with the love of his life?
Was this really it?
Oh, could it really be? As much as he didn't want to give himself false hope, Gohan couldn't help himself. He felt an excited jolt in his heart; he felt his weakened organ come alive once more at the mere thought of kissing Videl again, of holding her in his arms and breathing in her hair – of never having to let her go.
He reached out his senses to look for her. At that moment, Gohan wished his father had had the time to teach him the instant transmission technique so he could just appear right next to her this very second.
"Okay. I'll go talk to her," he told his family, a look of unsure determination taking on his features.
He had to do this the old-fashioned way, then. Gohan jogged away, to the good luck wishes of the people he cared most about – but soon enough he had become but a blur, too anxious to get to the bottom of this. He ran as fast as he possibly could in the crowded hallways, carefully avoiding bumping into the people who were in his way.
He slowed down when he saw her. She was sitting on a bench in the hospital yard, her head down, shuffling her feet.
A big lump rose in his throat. Gohan tried to swallow it down but to no avail. His heart was trying to beat its last record now. His hands were moist, his face was flushed. Did he even look presentable? He had just spent the past few hours saving people from a burning bus, surely he must look terrible and smell even worse. This was in no way the perfect moment he had imagined when he envisioned getting together with Videl… If that was really it, that is.
She turned her head in his direction then, as though she had sensed his presence. Gohan wasn't surprised – Videl was such a skilled fighter that it was only natural that she had developed her sixth sense.
A small smile formed on her lips. Her eyes were shining with everything he had hoped to see.
His heart was going crazy now. The new record had been set again.
Dared he hope again?
"Hey," she says softly, standing up to walk towards him. "Sorry about earlier, I thought it would be best to give you a moment with Trunks…"
She touched his cheek, and Gohan felt like he was about to break down. Was this really happening? Was he really getting his happy ending? He just couldn't believe it. It was too good to be true.
"Besides… I wanted you for myself. I didn't want to share you with anyone." She took a shaky breath, like she could barely contain her emotions. "I've missed your eyes…" she murmured, her voice breaking as a few tears rolled down her cheeks. "You have no idea how much I've been hoping to have you look at me again… How hard I prayed for you to finally wake up."
He couldn't breathe properly. Damn it, his lungs were malfunctioning again. "So… it was true? You stayed by my side all this time…?" he asked in a raspy whisper.
Videl simply smiled, stroking his cheek lovingly. And then, as though she just couldn't resist anymore, as though she couldn't help herself, she pulled him to her and met his lips with hers.
He felt her love for him as clearly as if it had materialized and he was holding it in his hand. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he wrapped Videl in his arms and kissed her back desperately. Their breaths, their tears mingled, giving the kiss a salty aftertaste.
It was the most incredible kiss of his life.
A lifetime later that somehow felt like a blink, they pulled back, pressing their foreheads together. Gohan kept his eyes closed, fearing that when he opened them he would be waking up and realize this had been a dream.
"Can I say it then?" he murmured.
Videl felt a smile form on her lips. She tightened her arms around his neck, pressing herself closer against him.
"I love you too, Gohan."
He cupped her face with trembling hands. His whole being was shaking from the emotion. "Hey, that's not fair… I was meant to say it first."
"Well then you shouldn't have gotten yourself in a coma," she replied playfully. "I've been saying it to you every day."
His breath hitched. "You have…?"
This had to be a dream. It was just too good to be true. Any moment now, Gohan expected to wake up. It just couldn't be real.
"I love you so much, Gohan…" she murmured, her face so close her breath was tickling his lips. "And I… I'm so sorry for everything I put you through… I've been such an idiot. I shouldn't have rejected you at all. I made us lose so much time that we could've had together… And I hurt you so awfully." She took in a sharp breath, her voice shaky as she went on. "I just… I know I don't deserve you. I treated you like shit when you deserve everything good in this world. I really thought I was doing the right thing… But I ended up hurting us both terribly for nothing. I never stopped hurting over giving up on you…"
"Don't say you don't deserve me, Videl," he disagreed. "I said it the night we kissed for the first time, and I never once thought otherwise – you're perfect for me."
"But I hurt you so much… I was selfishly pushing you away, only thinking about myself and how devastated I would feel if you ever fought your last battle against those monsters…"
Gohan pulled back slightly to gaze at Videl, but she was looking away, as though to try and hide her tears from him. He cupped her cheek to make her look at him.
"I love you," he murmured hoarsely. It felt like the warmest, most pleasant light was glowing in his chest to finally be allowed to utter these words. He felt like he was alive again, like he had been reborn anew. Like nothing but this girl made sense in his life. He felt like the world was finally spinning properly, like it never had until this very moment.
"I love you, Videl," he said again, his voice breaking. These were the most beautiful four words in the universe.
A tear slid down her cheek, and then more followed as she watched him. Gohan could feel himself welling up as well, and he felt no shame as he let himself cry in front of the woman he loved more than anything.
"I love you more than you can imagine, I love you more than I can handle. I love you, Videl, and no one else."
He tried to get a hold of his voice, to make it stop quivering so much so that he could say everything he meant to tell Videl clearly, so he could make her understand how wrong she was to think she didn't deserve him. But his emotions were running wild – he was just so happy, he couldn't stop crying. He gave up and sniffed.
"I love you so much, Videl… And I couldn't imagine feeling this way with anyone else, ever. You're the one for me; you're the only one I want. You're perfect for me. You're my perfect fit." He pulled her closer against him, her curves meshing into his angular body like a second skin. "See?" He cupped her cheek and gave her his most genuine smile. "You fit so perfectly into me… It's like we're made for each other."
She gave out a sob and shook her head. "Oh, Gohan… I really don't deserve you…"
"Nonsense. If you didn't deserve me, how come I'm so madly in love with you?"
She laughed through her tears. "I don't know. You have terrible taste in women, I figure."
He grinned, yet his tears still wouldn't stop. "My mom thinks you're perfect for me too. I guess it's a family thing?"
She shook her head with a laugh. "You're so silly…"
He cupped her cheek once more, looking deep into her eyes. This was real, right? He wasn't dreaming this moment, was he? He wasn't going to wake up in his hospital bed in a moment, right?
"I love you," he murmured. "I love you so much."
"I love you too," she replied in the same tone, her eyes showing him just how much she meant it. "I'm so completely in love with you, Gohan…"
This was it. The most beautiful moment of his life. Gohan couldn't imagine a better reunion with the woman he loved.
He sniffed and wiped his face. He must look like a real mess right now. Videl smiled lovingly and helped him dry his tears.
"I'm still going to make it up to you," she said softly. "You may have forgiven me… but I don't think I'll be able to forgive myself anytime soon for what I put you through."
Gohan kissed her, and felt her whole being tremble against him as she clutched his collar, opening her mouth wider to give access to his tongue. She moaned and Gohan pulled her even closer against him, one of his hands sliding to her thigh as he leaned forward. Videl arched her back and wrapped her leg around his midsection, her shaky hands moving to cup his face while his fingers dug deeper into her thigh.
This was heaven. Their bodies truly fit together perfectly. Gohan couldn't imagine that Videl hadn't been made especially for him, and him alone.
"I love you…" he breathed against her lips, before deepening the kiss. Videl wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, kissing him hard. He could feel how much she loved him through their embrace, how much he meant to her, how much she needed him.
Damn, he felt like crying again. This was too much. It felt too strong – it was hard to handle. It was overwhelming; her love for him was overflowing everywhere, like getting in a bathtub filled to the brim and keeping the water running. It was flooding everywhere, getting inside the floor and pouring through the ceiling on the level below. It flooded the whole building and then the water got outside and took over the streets, until it got to the whole city, the whole world even.
"I love you," she replied breathlessly, her words making his heart soar in the most delectable way.
Gohan could feel that she needed to get some air into her lungs so he moved to her neck and ravished her skin with feverish kisses.
Things were rapidly heating up… And they were in a public place too, in plain view. People were probably staring and whispering about the show they were giving them – but Gohan couldn't care less. Nothing could ruin this perfect moment with the woman he loved.
With the woman he was finally allowed to love…
"Take me home…" she breathed out, before moaning as he licked the tender spot on her neck. "Right now."
He couldn't help the chuckle rumbling in his chest. Gohan straightened up and grinned down at her.
"That bad, huh?"
She hit his shoulder playfully, mock-glaring at him. "Shut up and just take me to your place," Videl then reached up, pulling him down, and whispered sensually in his ear, her hand moving to the nape of his neck, "so you can fuck me good and proper."
His face flared up. His whole body was tingling. "Geez, Videl… You kiss your father with that mouth?"
She grinned, her eyes sparkling with mirth, but also something else. She cupped his cheek. "That reminds me… I didn't get the chance to thank you properly for bringing my dad back, did I? Thank you so much, Gohan… You have no idea what it means to me… I still can't believe I have my dad back."
Gohan had never felt lighter in his life. It was like the unbearable weight in his chest had vanished into thin air, like it had never even been there in the first place.
"You are most welcome. I love your dad, he's awesome, and I couldn't be happier when I figured out you were his daughter." He chuckled. "His lucky star is so amazing. It's hard to believe how lucky he is."
"And he's always been that lucky," she chuckled. "It balances out with his terrible clumsiness."
Gohan turned away and put his hand over his mouth, muffling the sound of his laughter. "Oh, yes, definitely… He's scarily clumsy. It's a wonder he's still alive and hasn't broken his neck yet… I saw him trip on his own foot so many times in the short while I've known him…"
Videl snickered, her shoulders shaking. "I'm not surprised at all."
Gohan gazed at the beautiful girl in his arms. He stroked her cheek lovingly, feeling a rush of tenderness fill his whole being. "Let's go home then," he murmured, before leaning down to nuzzle her neck. "I've missed you too much…"
Her breath hitched. "Yeah… I've missed you too… More than you can imagine."
"If it's anything like what I've been through, I think I've got a pretty good idea, actually," he joked with a blissful smile, resting his head on her shoulder.
"Fair enough…"
ooOoo
Videl closed her eyes, snuggling up closer Gohan as he flew through the air carrying her in his arms.
So it wasn't a dream after all. She had never felt happier in her life. She still couldn't believe Gohan would just forgive her after how awful she had been to him… But Gohan was just too pure to feel any resentment. That was one of the reasons she loved him so much.
Forgiving herself would be another story… In the meantime, however, Videl let all her worries vanish as the man she loved held her in his strong arms…
He was slowing down, meaning he was about to land. Her heart was hammering in her chest in excitement and anticipation. After all this time… It was really happening. Gohan was finally going to claim her entire being – heart, body, and soul. She had craved for him for so long…
But this time was different. This time was special. It was going to be the most tender, the most beautiful, the most breathtaking moment of her life.
Gohan touched down and let her on her feet. His house was made of wood; it actually looked handmade. When she looked more closely Videl could see some uneven parts and imperfections in the sturdy construction.
"Did you build it yourself?"
He wrapped his arms around her from behind her and started kissing her neck. Videl felt a shiver run up and down her spine.
"Hm-mmh," he acquiesced in response.
Videl closed her eyes, her breathing deepening. She felt Gohan moved his hands under her tank top, and her skin burned at the contact. Her head was spinning. His touch, his kisses were intoxicating.
The chemistry between them was more explosive than ever.
She turned around, grabbed his face between her palms and kissed him with an urgency she couldn't control.
Without breaking the kiss, Gohan swooped her up in his arms and carried her to his house, walking blindly to his bedroom.
He lay her on the bed and climbed in on top of her. They stared into each other's eyes, their faces inches apart, their heavy breaths mingling.
"I love you," Gohan murmured, cupping her cheek. Videl smiled, her eyes sparkling. She raised her arms to wrap them around his neck.
"I love you," she replied.
Gohan closed his eyes and pressed his forehead against hers. Using his feet, he took his boots off, then started to unbuckle his belt.
"I missed you so much…"
Videl grabbed the hem of his tank top and pulled it up and over his head, uncovering his gorgeous torso. She traced the scar above his heart with her fingers, lines of worry creasing her brow. He hadn't told her how he got that one, in the end, had he?
"Tell me how you got that scar," she requested.
A light frown blemished his handsome features. "Right now?"
She raised her gaze to look into his eyes. "Tell me."
His lips pursed. "17 held me down while 18 used some glass shard to cut through the skin."
Her eyes welled up. "Why there? Why above the heart?"
Gohan pulled away from her, sitting on the foot of his bed, and looked away. "They wanted to test how deep they could cut without killing me."
Videl took a shaky breath. She sniffed; her cheeks felt wet.
"Now I get why you wouldn't tell me," she murmured hoarsely, wiping her tears. "I hate that you have to fight them. No wonder you don't like fighting…"
He turned back to her and pulled her to him, wrapping his arms around her. He kissed the top of her head.
"I'll get them one day, I swear to you."
Videl cracked a smile. "And then you're gonna propose to me, right?"
"Uh… Yeah… Well… I mean, that's the plan…"
She giggled. Although she couldn't see his face, Videl knew it was most likely bright red right.
Gohan cleared his throat. "Bulma's working on a weapon, actually. She's a genius, so if anyone's gonna find a way to kill those monsters, it's gonna be her."
Videl lifted her head and raised her eyebrows at him. "A weapon?"
A gentle smile formed on his tempting lips. Her heart swelled. "Yeah. So even if I never get strong enough, Bulma's gonna invent something to kill them once and for all. I have faith in her."
It was hard to hope again after wallowing in resignation for all these years. Videl nodded her head, touching his cheek.
"And then we'll get married, right?" she whispered.
She enjoyed seeing his face flush at her words. "W-Well… I've got to propose to you first, and you'll have to say yes too…"
"I will," she said, her smile widening, her eyes shining with love. "When you propose, I'll definitely say yes."
His breath hitched; his lips parted. And then he was kissing her passionately. Videl wrapped her arms around his neck and lay on her back, bringing him down with her.
Ahh… This was the stuff. How did she hold on for so long without that man? How could she live on without his kisses, without his touch, without his warmth, without his gentle smiles, without his loving eyes?
"How about we continue where we left off now?" he murmured just over her lips. Videl hummed in agreement.
She felt him tug at the hem of her jeans, and lifted her midsection to help him slide them off her legs, but then her boots got in the way. Gohan took them off one by one, and then kissed the inside of her thigh as he finished taking her jeans off. Videl closed her eyes as he left a trail of kisses on his way to her crotch – but then he moved around and pressed his lips on her pelvis. Her inner walls twitched in disapproval.
Goodness, she wanted him so bad.
Gohan started kissing her stomach. Her breathing was getting more and more erratic. He lifted her tank top as he kept going up, his lips never leaving her skin. Meanwhile, his other hand moved up her leg, caressing her thigh, and then he grabbed her boxers and started pulled them down. Videl helped him, hurriedly pushing them down, and then kicked them off.
He wrapped his hand on her crotch. Videl's knees trembled. Gohan started rubbing. She felt jolts of pleasure shoot through her whole body.
Goddamn, she was so wet already.
Her back arched and she let out a gasp when he pushed two fingers inside of her. She felt him move back and forth and around, knowing just the way to get her off.
In the haze of the intense pleasure he was giving her, Videl was vaguely aware when Gohan took off her tank top and then her bra. He pressed his body against hers and nuzzled her neck; his hand was still fingering her while the other found her voluptuous breast.
It was coming. Videl was losing her mind. She couldn't take it anymore, it felt too good, it was too intense. It was just too much. Gohan was driving her crazy.
And he wasn't done, it seemed. She felt his mouth around her nipple, and then he started sucking, making the bud even harder than it already was.
Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she lay defenseless against his ministrations. The explosion took her completely and Videl felt something crack and tumble in a deafening ruckus. She let out a long moan as her body couldn't stop convulsing. Her inner walls tightened and spasmed around Gohan's fingers. She could feel his smile against her breast as he made her climax.
But he wasn't done yet.
His head was between her thighs before she could catch her breath. Her body was still shaking from her orgasm yet Gohan didn't let her rest. She felt his breath, his lips, his tongue on her extra sensitive lower lips, and Videl was positive that she had gone insane. She grabbed a fistful of the sheets and threw her head back, moaning loudly and rocking her whole body as Gohan slowly savored her.
"Oh… Yes! Yes! Right there! Yes! Oh, fuck. Oh, my god… Shit! Aahhhhh…"
It felt so good. Gohan hadn't lost his touch, that was for sure. Even after all this time, he still knew exactly what to do and how to touch her to give her the most pleasure possible.
She gasped as her second orgasm hit her abruptly. Videl tightened her legs around Gohan's head as, once again, her whole being shook in the most delectable ecstasy.
He was kissing her lips then. Videl sloppily kissed him back, still too hazy after coming a second time so quickly. Gohan deepened the kiss, cupping her face with both hands, slowly exploring her mouth. Videl wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. She wanted to feel his body on top of hers, to feel his whole weight crushing her.
She was delighted not to feel his boxers in the way. Gohan's hard cock was pressing against her soaked entrance and Videl groaned against his lips. She was way too sensitive right now, and as much as she wanted to feel him deep inside of her, she needed to catch her breath first.
She pushed him to lie on his back and broke the kiss, panting hard as she towered over him. They locked eyes, and Videl smiled as she ran her hand down his torso, along his rock-hard abs, before grabbing his erection. She enjoyed the look on his face as he let out a shaky breath, shivering as she touched his most sensitive parts.
Perpendicular to his body, Videl left open-mouthed kisses on his torso. She ran her tongue along the diagonal scar across his chest, down his abs and to his side, while her hand was still working his penis.
Then she reached his lower abdomen and took his length in her mouth. Gohan choked and then let out a long, guttural moan, his pelvis giving a kind of convulsed thrust. Videl tucked her bangs behind her ear and ran her tongue around his pulsing dick.
She had missed this – turning him into a puddle, having him so completely vulnerable under her ministrations, having him at her mercy. She had missed the adorable yet arousing sounds he couldn't help letting out as she sucked him.
It occurred to her that she hadn't had the chance to do this all that much, or to experiment with Gohan as much as she would've liked to. Well, now was as good a time as any to make up for that.
She sucked him hard while she backed up and let go of him. Gohan was panting hard as he looked down at her. He started to sit up, probably thinking she was ready to go all the way, but Videl put her hand on his chest and pushed him back. She smiled at him coyly.
"Not yet."
He gave her a confused look, an eyebrow raised, but didn't protest and watched her silently as she moved to his crotch once more.
Moving to lie on her stomach between his muscular legs, Videl grabbed her breasts with both of her hands and wrapped them around his erection. Gohan felt his throat tighten. Not only the sensation, but the sight alone was turning him on like crazy. Videl sent him a sultry look before licking his tip while she tightened her beautiful creamy breasts around his twitching dick.
He leaned back on his elbows as he couldn't take his eyes off her, hypnotized by the incredible view the beautiful woman was offering to him. His throat tightened and he swallowed hard, trying his best to hold himself in. His eyes fell shut and his head rolled back as she started sucking him again and creating delicious friction with her breasts at the same time. Good gods, he was going completely mad. Was she trying to kill him?
He turned his gaze on her once more as Videl sucked him hard, her head bobbing back and forth. He hissed at the feeling as she ran her tongue around his shaft at the same time. It felt just too good, too powerful. At this rate, he wouldn't be able to hold it down for much longer…
He felt her teeth graze his bursting erection; his sanity was slipping. The pleasure was unbelievable.
They locked eyes then, and Gohan knew, in that moment, what Videl wanted. So he closed his eyes and let himself go completely, shooting his release inside Videl's mouth, unable to control his body as it shook violently.
This was… ecstasy.
Videl was on top of him then, straddling his abdomen. She leaned in to kiss his lips, and Gohan cupped her cheek as he hazily kissed her back.
Her hands were on his chest now, her touch sending more shivers through his spine. She ran them down his abs, and then up again and massaged his shoulders. Gohan sighed against her lips, feeling completely relaxed. She pulled back and smiled at him. Gohan smiled back; he untied her hair, sliding down her hairbands one after the other, letting her long raven tendrils flow all around him.
He brushed her bangs out of her eyes, tucking them behind her ear, then ran his fingers through her silky locks. He mused that Videl must be taking really good care of her hair, because it looked as beautiful as it was strong.
"I love you," he said again. Now that he was finally allowed to utter those words, Gohan couldn't help saying them over and over again. It just felt so good to finally be able to tell Videl how much she meant to him. He was still having trouble believing this was real, and this was really happening.
She beamed at him. He felt his heart race in his chest. He felt so unbelievably lucky in that instant, and Gohan wondered idly if Mark's incredible luck had rubbed off of him somehow.
But there was something he needed to tell her. Before this went any further, Videl had to know what she was really getting herself into. He had to tell her about the other half of him.
"I love you too," she said back, her gaze loving and tender. He felt like crying. "So much."
"No matter what, right?" he asked, a hint of uncertainty in his voice. Videl tilted her head in confusion.
"Of course. No matter what. I'll always love you, Gohan."
His hand behind her neck, his fingers tangling with her thick locks, he pulled her to him and kissed her deeply, desperately. Her words soothed his anxiety but he couldn't shush the little voice in his head who kept whispering to him that Videl didn't know any better, that she might just as well be repulsed by his alien half.
"You know I'm not normal, right?" he whispered when he pulled back. Videl gave a light chuckle.
"No shit. Is that what's worrying you?" She shook her head with another chuckle. "It's okay, Gohan, I really couldn't care less. I've told you before, haven't I? The weirder you are, the more amazing you are to me."
He felt some weight lift off his shoulders. "Good to know…"
He stroked her cheek, looking deep into her eyes. Yes, indeed – he could see it clearly: Videl loved him with all of her heart. She trusted him, she believed in him. Telling her wouldn't change a thing about how she felt.
It wouldn't, right?
Videl was kissing him again. Gohan let himself relax once more, letting his mind shut off as he wrapped his arms around the woman he loved.
"I'm done playing around," she breathed against his skin, kissing his neck now, tickling his ear as she continued, "I want you, Gohan. Take me whole…"
He cracked a small smile. This sounded a lot less crude than what he had come to expect from her in these kinds of situations… It actually sounded romantic when she said it like that. Gohan wondered if Videl would use her foul mouth to play it down, to conceal how she really felt, and if that meant that now she had let down her walls. She was showing him her true self, trusting him with the real her, letting him see her, really see her.
He rolled them around, wanting to be on top. Looking down at Videl, he marveled at her beautiful features, running his hand from her cheek, to her neck and down to her breast. He rubbed his hardening member against her crotch, making her moan his name.
"I love you…"
He pushed himself in, groaning at the heavenly feeling he had needed so much. He breathed shakily as he pulled back and then thrust deep inside of her again, then repeated the process over and over.
"I love you. I love you. I love you… Aahh… Gghh…"
He buried his face in the crook of her neck, breathing in her hair as he kept thrusting deep and slow, creating the delicious friction he couldn't get enough of. Videl grabbed his ass to push him deeper, moaning as she pushed her pelvis and met him halfway. She arched his back, urging him to pick up the pace with every shift of her body. Gohan gladly obliged; he got on his knees, holding her legs against his arms, grabbed her hips firmly and pushed harder into her.
His eyes closed as he lost himself in the passion. Videl panted loudly with every thrust he gave.
"Oh god…" she moaned, moving her arm over her eyes.
It felt so delicious. Divine. She was divine; she was perfect. She was truly his perfect fit. Gohan couldn't imagine that Videl wasn't made especially for him. The way their bodies moved as one, the way they meshed together, the way her gorgeous curves fit into his hard muscles, the way their hearts beat in sync, the way he could feel her soul enveloping his, merging into him, becoming him… She was his soulmate. She was everything.
"I love…. Hahh… Hahh… I love you… I… Hahh… I love you so much…"
He couldn't stop saying it. He was just so happy. He leaned in and kissed her deeply, muffling her moans of pleasure. Videl wrapped her arms around his neck tightly, holding him for dear life. He felt a familiar quiver around his pulsing dick as her inner walls convulsed, and picked up the pace, thrusting harder than before, making her orgasm last longer.
"G… Go… han…" she gasped breathlessly, tearing her lips away from him. Her eyes tightly shut, Videl screamed as he didn't let up and kept going, reveling in the way she writhed in ecstasy.
He kissed her cheek, her jaw, her throat, her neck. God, she smelled so good. She was so intoxicating. How had he managed to hold on without her for so long? He had needed her so damn much all this time. He had needed her eyes, her smile, her scent, her touch, her tenderness… He had needed this – losing himself into her, completely. Letting go. Feeling free. Feeling loved. Feeling whole again.
He panted against her neck, his teeth grazing her skin, his eyes tightly closed as he kept thrusting. He was getting close – too close – but Gohan held it in. He wanted to make her come a fourth time before letting himself go.
"I… I can't… Gohan…" Videl moaned, unable to keep up with him any longer. "I can't anymore… This… This is too much…! Ahh! Oh, god! Oh… Fuck!"
He smiled against her skin; he could feel that she was getting close once more. Lowered his hand between them, he rubbed her clit while he kept hammering into her, wanting to drive her mad with pleasure.
She kept screaming his name along with a bunch of swear words, wrapping her legs tightly around his waist, so much that he almost couldn't move. He rolled his hips and, nonetheless, didn't let up the pace. He used his spare hand to fondle her breast and play with her nipple. He wrapped his mouth around her other one and flicked it with his tongue before sucking hard.
"Oh, my god…" Videl whimpered, throwing her head to the side. She put the back of her hand against her lips as Gohan did his very best to drive her to the edge.
It wasn't long until she climaxed once again, and her whole being quaked violently as she cried out his name as well as many more curse words. Gohan smirked and kissed her foul mouth, letting the sensation of her convulsions against his body and around his erection drive him to his own orgasm. He didn't think and shot his semen inside of her, feeling something primal swell inside of him as he filled her so much it overflowed all over his blanket.
He collapsed on top of her, panting hard. Videl wrapped her arms around his head, keeping him close to her heart. He smiled blissfully.
"I love you," he murmured yet again.
"I love you too," she replied in the same breathless tone.
She sighed in pure joy. Ahh… Could it get any better than this?
No, it couldn't. There was no improving on perfection, after all.
ooOoo
Sitting at the kitchen table, her cheek in her hand, Videl watched her man cook for her. He had insisted on making her something himself, saying that he wanted to spoil and pamper her.
He was just so cute. She let her eyes travel along the perfectly-carved muscles of his back. And so hot, too. So fucking hot. She was burning for him just from the sight of his gorgeous body.
After a quick shower together that involved a lot of fondling among other things, Videl had insisted that he only wore his boxers. She wanted to enjoy the view as much as possible, after all.
Gohan had countered by asking her to wear one of his blue shirts and nothing else, not even underwear. She wouldn't have minded walking around naked, really, but humored him nonetheless, knowing that he liked it when she wore his shirt.
Something kept nagging at the back of her head, however, but Videl shooed it away. Now wasn't the time to think about that. She had time anyway. She could always go and get herself some Plan B pills tomorrow. There was nothing to worry about.
Gohan came over holding the pan and served her plate with the scrambled eggs he had made for her. She wondered if they were still good after three months of sitting in his fridge, but Videl figured it should be all right. She wasn't going to wipe that adorable grin off Gohan's face by commenting on it either. She was fine getting food poisoning for him.
"Thanks. It smells great," she complimented him.
"It's just eggs," he chuckled, before going back to the kitchen side of the main room and making more eggs for himself. "Don't wait for me and just dig in, I'm gonna be making a lot more for myself."
"No way. I want to eat with you."
"But it's going to get cold." He looked at her over his shoulder and shot her a grin. "That would be a shame, wouldn't it?"
She merely shrugged. "So wrap it in some foil or something. I want to eat with you."
He chuckled. "Okay, let me check my cupboard for the foil."
He spilled the mixed eggs in the pan first, turning down the fire before looking through his cabinets. He quickly found what he was looking for and walked back to Videl. She took the roll from him before he started wrapping her plate with the foil.
"Focus on your eggs," she told him, pointing the roll at him. "I can do it myself."
He grinned wider. "I love you so much."
She rolled her eyes through her own broad grin. "Stop being so sappy and go cook your eggs."
"No way. I get to be as sappy and corny as I want now," he retorted, leaning down for a quick kiss before going back to the kitchen counter and focusing back on his pan. "I've waited long enough for this. I'm fully intending on enjoying it to the most."
"Geez… What did I get myself into?" she chuckled.
Gohan glanced back at her over his shoulder. "Don't pretend. You know you love it."
"Yeah, right," she rolled her eyes once more, yet was unable to wipe the grin off her face. He was so right.
Gohan snickered, as though he read her mind. A feeling of complete peace washed over her. Videl couldn't believe what she had been missing out on all this time when she was being stupid. She regretted taking so long to realize giving in to Gohan was the right thing, not pushing him away – that had been just plain idiotic. Rejecting Gohan had been the biggest mistake of her life.
But, after all this time, at long last, she had seen reason, and they were finally happy together.
She covered her plate with the foil paper, before taking on her previous position, her chin in her hand, her elbow on the table, enjoying the view of her man in his half-naked glory.
But then her eyes clouded over and her heart tightened painfully. The fear of losing him was gripping at it stronger than ever. While she was doing her best to believe in him, to let herself have hope again, Videl was terrified of anything happening to him – now more than ever. She loved him so much; she was falling deeper and deeper in love with him with every moment, every minute, every second she spent with him. Her love for him was so strong, so intense, so breathtaking… She couldn't bear the mere thought of not having him in her life anymore.
She couldn't lose him. Somehow, someway, Gohan had to save the world. He had to get strong enough. He just had to. She couldn't live on without him – she couldn't imagine her life without him now that she had tasted what it was like to be with him.
Gohan felt a frown crease his brow. He could sense the troubling turmoil in Videl's aura. It happened in a blink, in just a moment. Something was gnawing on her from the inside, and Gohan didn't need to think hard to guess what the matter was.
He could still die any day, he was aware of that. It was selfish of him, trying to have something with Videl when she could be grieving him tomorrow for all he knew.
He wished there was another way. He wished he didn't have to fight. He wished he was just a normal guy falling in love with this incredible girl, that they only had to worry about getting away from the cyborgs together – and not whether he was going to survive his next fight against them.
He hoped Bulma would be done with her weapon soon enough. Or maybe she already was? He had been in a coma for nearly three months, was it? Surely she must have made some significant progress since the last time he saw her work on it. He absent-mindedly moved the spatula in the pan as he made a mental note to ask Bulma about her weapon.
But what if she finished it, tried it on the cyborgs but failed? No – Gohan shook his head. This was a happy day. He didn't want to let his worries spoil it. He wanted to enjoy every second Videl spent with him. He wanted to savor it slowly, bite after bite, letting its flavors invade his taste buds in the most delectable way.
He didn't want to think of the outside world right now. Not today. He just wanted to be with Videl.
Gohan took the pan off the fire and made the scrambled eggs slide on the plate he had put on the counter next to him beforehand. Then he took the bowl with more egg mixture and started over, knowing that he was going to need a lot more than one serving, even as big as it was, to fill his stomach. After spending his morning in bed with Videl, he was absolutely famished. He hoped he had enough eggs. They were the only things in his fridge that he figured hadn't spoiled after nearly three months of sitting there. They looked good, at least. Smelled great, too.
"How much more are you going to make?" Videl asked from behind him.
"All of it."
He heard her sigh, and chuckled in amusement at her overplayed disappointment.
"Man, I'm never gonna eat, am I?"
"Be patient. I should be done shortly," he shot at her over his shoulder.
She was smiling back at him, her eyes sparkling as they met his. Goodness, he loved her so goddamn much.
"Fine, but only because I love your hot ass."
He grinned. "Do you, now?"
She smirked. "I could watch you all day."
He laughed as he focused back on his pan. "I guess I can take my time then, huh?"
"If you want me to starve to death, sure. At least I'd die with a great view."
He snorted laughing. "I'm working as fast as I can."
"It's okay." His keen senses picked up the shift in the air as Videl shrugged. "I might die, but you're worth it."
He grinned at her over his shoulder. "Who's sappy now, hm?"
"You are, obviously," she stated matter-of-factly, her beautiful eyes shining with mirth.
Gohan felt a rush of love take over him. God, he just loved her so much.
He was getting repetitive, wasn't he?
He let out a chuckle as he turned back to the stove, before sliding the eggs on his plate once more. Gohan took it and walked over to the kitchen table.
"I thought you were going to make all of it?" Videl asked him as he sat across from her.
"I'm too hungry, and I don't want to make you wait any longer either," he explained. "Besides, I'll just hunt something after we're done with the eggs."
She grinned as she removed the foil covering her plate. "Sounds like a plan."
Gohan forgot to get started as he gazed upon the beautiful girl sitting with him. She chuckled as she reminded him that his eggs were waiting for him. Gohan grinned.
"You're just too beautiful, I couldn't help staring."
She rolled her eyes. "So corny."
"Yep. And I'm not gonna get any better so you better get used to it," he added with a wink.
"Oh dear god," she slapped her palm to her forehead in exaggerated dismay. Gohan snickered at her acting skills.
"Don't pretend, you know you love it."
She finally tasted his eggs, and Gohan started eating as well. "Maybe. You're still cheesy as fuck."
"You should try it, it's fun." The eggs were pretty good. Some parts were slightly overcooked, what with Videl distracted him and all, but it had been worth it – Gohan had no regrets.
"Nah. You're corny enough for the both of us."
He chuckled. "Am I now?"
"Yup."
"I bet I can get cornier."
"Oh dear god, no…" Videl sighed dramatically. Gohan snickered. It was so much fun to banter with her.
He gazed upon her, a gentle smile playing on his lips, and the words came to him easily. "Your eyes sparkle like the reflection of the sun on the ocean. When I get lost into them, I feel like I'm drowning… yet I let it happen and breathe in the water wholeheartedly… because there's no better feeling than losing myself to you."
Videl averted her eyes, a blush tinting her cheeks. "Geez, when did you become such a poet?" she mumbled in embarrassment.
"Right about the time I first lay my eyes on you, I believe," he chuckled. She was so cute. He liked that he'd managed to get her flustered.
She rolled her eyes through her blush, most likely attempting to play it down.
"You were right," she chuckled with a shake of her head. "You can get even cornier."
"Want me to try and get even worse?" he challenged her.
Videl made a face. "Please don't."
Gohan's grin widened as he opened his mouth and welcomed his own corniness with open arms, much to his girlfriend's overplayed dismay.
She loved it – he knew she did. And so he kept going, grinning broadly all the while.
He loved her so much. He was just so happy. He wanted every day to be like this.
It wasn't a happy ending. It was their happy beginning.
Geez, he really was super sappy, huh? Ah well, there was no helping it now. Gohan jumped headfirst into the cheesiness, and enjoyed every second of it.
