Yesterday, five newcomers arrived at the mansion. Simon Belmont and his descendant, Richter Belmont, which Snake remembers hearing about the former and Pit and Mega Man meeting him once again after a long time. Chrom joins the tournament for the first time as Lucina, Robin, and Reflet were happy to see that the Ylisse prince was going to compete in the same tourney as them. Marth and Ike were also glad to see the fact that Chrom was invited to compete as well. The former Assist Trophy, Dark Samus received an invitation to compete in the tournament, much to Samus' dismay as not only her parents' killer, Ridley was invited, but her dark counterpart as well. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong meet their arch-nemesis, King K. Rool after not seeing him for a long time as it is revealed that the Kremling King is going to enter the tournament.

For today, only one newcomer will arrive at the mansion.

A yellow dog that resembles a Shih Tzu who was wearing a green checkered vest, with a white short-sleeved blouse, a red ribbon tie, and navy blue skirt was already at the mansion with her green checkered suitcase right beside her.

"This must be the place." The dog said before rang the doorbell.

Smash Mansion

Villager hears the doorbell as he walks towards the door and asks who it is.

"It's Isabelle!" The yellow dog called.

The mayor's eyes widened in shock upon hearing that name, "Isabelle?" He thought. Villager opened the door revealing the dog known as Isabelle.

"Mayor!" Isabelle exclaimed as she hugged Villager, "I'm so glad to see you again!"

Villager returned the hug before they let go and asked Isabelle if she got an invitation.

Isabelle pulled out her invitation, "That's right! I was once an Assist Trophy, now I'm a fighter like you!"

Villager smiled at this before asking his secretary that she isn't the only one who just became a fighter.

"Really, who was it?" Isabelle asked. She was then surprised upon hearing what the mayor told her. "Dark Samus was invited too?" Villager nodded. "Wow, first Little Mac, then Dark Samus, and now me. It makes me so glad that Assist Trophies are given a chance to compete." Villager agreed with her before asking the secretary who gave her the invitation. "It was Master Hand." She said as Villager nodded before he told her to follow him.

Hallways

"Wow, I can't believe this mansion is this huge." Isabelle said while looking around. She and Villager stopped when they saw the room they're looking for. "So this must be his room."

Villager knocks on the door. "Who is it?" Master Hand called. Villager tells him that a newcomer is here. "Oh, really, Then come on in then." The mayor opens the door as he and Isabelle enter the room.

Master Hand's room

Villager and Isabelle were now in the room

"Hello, Isabelle, it's good to see that you accepted the invitation to compete." Master Hand greeted.

"It's good to see you too." The secretary greeted back. "Thank you for inviting me to the upcoming tournament."

"You're very welcome. Since you're here, all you need to do is find a room you want to sleep in and go to the dining room, I'm sure it's now lunch."

Villager tells Isabelle that he'll show her where the dining room is. "Okay, thanks. Now let's find a room for me." Isabelle said as Villager nodded and headed out of the room.

Crazy Hand comes into the room. "Isabelle, huh?"

"Yep, another fighter who was once an Assist Trophy will join the competition. Today we might only have one newcomer."

"I see. So basically, we only need two more newcomers to accept the invitations before we publicly announce them."

"Let's not forget that we need to announce the new Assist Trophies as well and I already made the list here." Master Hand shows the Crazy Hand the list.

"Ah, interesting list. They would definitely help the fighters." The left hand nodded. He turned around. "I actually sent one more invitation, so we can make that three. Master will be so mad at me, but I don't care." Crazy Hand said quietly before chuckling.

"What was that, Crazy?" Master Hand asked.

"Nothing~" Crazy Hand said innocently.

The right hand was suspicious, but decided to leave it aside. "Okay then. Enjoy your day."

"Same to you." Crazy Hand replied before leaving the room.

Dining room

Villager and Isabelle arrived at the dining room.

Peach notices the mayor, "Oh, hey, Villager, you're just in time for lunch." She notices Isabelle. "Isabelle! What brings you here?"

"Hey, Peach, it's good to see you again. And the reason I'm here is because I got an invitation to the tournament." Isabelle said.

Daisy approaches the three fighters. "You got an invitation, that's awesome! I got invited too!"

"So this is your first time competing as well?"

"Uh huh!" The Sarasaland princess nodded.

"That's great! I can't wait to see how you fight!"

"Same to you!"

All four of them found a chair to sit in. The fighters who competed in the previous tournament and the Inklings were surprised to see that Isabelle was going to compete.

"Another fighter who was once an Assist Trophy, eh?" Wario said in amusement. "It makes me wonder how Waluigi will react when he finds out that Dark Samus and Isabelle are now fighters and he isn't."

"Man, first it was me, then Dark Samus, and now Isabelle. I'm glad the Hands decided to make some Assist Trophies into actual fighters." Little Mac said.

"I agree with you, it's like they're giving them a chance to compete." Samus agreed.

"(I'm with you right there.)" Pikachu nodded.

"(I don't know too much about Assist Trophies, but yeah.)" Pichu said.

The Inklings approach Isabelle, "Hey, Isabelle! Do you remember us?" Orange said.

"Of course I do!" The secretary exclaimed. "You guys are entering the tournament too?"

"Yep, we arrived at the mansion the same day as Daisy did." Blue said.

"Oh, that's great to hear!"

"You guys know each other?" Zelda asked.

"Yeah, we all met in the Mario Kart Grand Prix." Isabelle said.

"Ah, I see." The Hylian princess said.

Isabelle looked at the other newcomers as the Inklings went back to their seats. "Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only newcomer competing in the tournament." She looked at Dark Samus. "So Dark Samus is competing in the tournament." She looked at Villager. "You were right when you told me that." The mayor just nodded. She then looked at Ridley. "Wait, is that Ridley?!" She exclaimed in shock.

"Yep, he came with me and the Inklings to the mansion." Daisy said.

"How did Samus react to this?"

"Let's just say we managed to calm her down."

Isabelle didn't want to know the entire story, so she decided to push it aside. "Anyways, I want to see what this mansion has."

"Oh, we'll definitely give you a tour!" Peach exclaimed.

"You will?" Isabelle asked in surprise.

"Yeah! The girls showed me what this place has and trust me, you'll like it." Daisy smiled.

"Zelda and I will accompany you on this tour as well." Rosalina said with the Hylian princess agreeing with her.

"Aw, thanks, girls!" Isabelle exclaimed. The secretary turned to Villager. "I hope you wouldn't mind if they gave me a tour around the mansion." She said.

The mayor waved it off saying that he wouldn't mind. Besides, this will give Isabelle a chance to get along with the other female fighters.

The Mario Bros were quietly watching this conversation.

"So Isabelle is now a fighter, good for her." Luigi said. "Say, how many newcomers are gonna compete in the tournament?"

"Who knows? I have a feeling we're gonna have a lot of newcomers, more than the previous tournament." Mario said.

Master Hand's room

Master Hand was thinking of what happened after Villager and Isabelle left his room.

Flashback

"What was that, Crazy?" Master Hand asked.

"Nothing~" Crazy Hand said innocently.

The right hand was suspicious, but decided to leave it aside. "Okay then. Enjoy your day."

"Same to you." Crazy Hand replied before leaving the room.

Present

"Crazy, I know you're hiding something from me. Knowing you, you're up to something and I will find out." Master Hand said.

Isabelle has become from an Assist Trophy to an actual fighter! Only two newcomers left (three in Crazy Hand's case)!
