Cerulean City, Cerulean City Gym
The mood at the gym was...
Annoyed to say the least.
Misty had just arrived and was so furious, a Gyarados would shiver in fear. Not only had her Psyduck been taken -regardless if he was useless or not-, but "her" Togepi had been "kidnapped" as well. She was doing her best to calm herself. After all, the shady man had given his part of the deal. The deal to betray Ash Ketchum, the weakling. If Misty was honest, she was glad she betrayed that lousy excuse of a trainer. She followed him for paying back her bike, but grew to find him irritable. The boy didn't even know his simple match ups. If anything, he was lucky.
She remembers being approached by the figure. The man said he wanted his spirits crushed and gone. Dig his own hole and never return. It had occurred at the Indigo League, Ash's match against Ritchie. After the humiliating defeat, the shady figure approached her and Brock and made an offer they couldn't refuse. More so Misty than Brock. The man offered money and new Pokémon for their pleasure, even ones they never heard of. Misty was instantly interested in the money and Pokémon offer and hoped aboard. Brock, though...
Brock resisted the offer. She rolled her eyes at the thought. Seriously, he was going to side with the weakling who talked big game but can't control a fully evolved Pokémon or even evolve half his Pokémon. Please, she was more than delighted to take down the weakling. And seeing how Brock was not going to comply easily, the man took out an new type of Pokeball she had never seen before. It was a green and black mixed color ball with an orange button. Pressing it, he revealed a new Pokémon as well. Misty saw some the pokemon before it began to shine. It was like a flat squid like creature with flat tentacles as feet and arms and tendrils as its "hair". After the lights died down, Brock's "eyes" were glossed over, under mind control.
Following him outside, Misty saw Delia and Professor Oak also here with their eyes, glossed over as well. For them, she couldn't blame them, it's his mom and caretaker/regional professor/grandfather figure. They had also believed in him. Skip to the part of betrayal and fleeing and here she is. The shady figure was also keen on having Ash's other Pokémon as well. The water types would have gone to Misty...
If they weren't there at the moment. And that's when she discovered Togepi was missing. She freaked out, wanting to go back and save her baby, but the man insisted on forgetting about it. And since she had witness that man in action and was obviously more powerful than her at the moment, even if she specialized in water types. But nonetheless, she was going to get her baby back after seeing her new Pokémon.
Misty had calmed down a bit, her sisters were on a shopping trip so she was at the gym alone. Looking in the gym's pool, she saw her old and new Pokémon. Her previous team consisted of Staryu, Starmie, Goldeen, and Horsea. Her new teammates were Palpitoad, Wooper, Omanyte, Luvdisc, Lanturn, and Frillish.
With her new team, she was going back to the Indigo Plateau and "save" her baby.

Brock was devastated, to say the least. He hated the idea of nearly killing an aspiring trainer. But that man... he was something else. He had never met a trainer that scary powerful (maybe Giovanni or an Elite Four member) before. While under that man's Pokémon control, Brock was somewhat aware of some of the actions he had done against his will.
Saying insults, summoning Onix, commanding Rock Slide, and that man that made the mind controller flee. After Onix's defeat and the Teleportation, Brock came to his senses and saw Misty, Delia, and Professor Oak. He, Oak, and Delia stumbled a bit, shaking their heads to get rid of the remaining mind control feature. After coming to, those three ready their Pokeballs only Mimey was left at the plateau, Geodude and Zubat wouldn't have stood a chance, Vulpix wasn't a fighter, and Oak's Pokemon wouldn't have been enough. The shady man just laughed at in a ominous tone that sent chills down his spine and demanded to know what Pokémon Ash had in his keep. Oak wouldn't allow it and stood his ground.
Surprisingly, the shady figure allowed this. His Claydol looked more than ready to attack, but stood down. And said the following words:
"I'll be in touch. Tell anyone what I look like or have done and you will suffer the same fate as that brat. Maybe even worse."
Then with a snap of his fingers, he left. Brock saw Misty seething in anger at the loss of Togepi, Psyduck, and Ash's water type Pokémon. Brock could only give her a disappointing stare, her greed was showing. He also noticed Delia in tears and Oak confronting her. Misty took her leave immediately for her new Pokémon. Brock also took his leave, not before giving an apologetic response to the grieving Ketchum and Oak at the loss.
Arriving home, Brock saw the new Pokémon he was given: a Roggenrola, Shuckle, Rockruff, Minior, Carbink, Lileep, and an egg of a possible Rock type Pokémon. That just led to his guilt to deepen more. A Gym Leader is supposed to defend their region and inspired trainers to be their best. But with Kanto, it felt like they were doing none of those. Very few gym leaders in Kanto that followed that. The eight strongest gym leaders had their own problems. Misty was greedy plus the fact her sisters rather perform than battle, Lt. Surge was brutal in battle (although he may have mellowed out since Ash's battle), Erika -while pretty in his opinion- didn't allow anyone to battle her if they insulted her perfume, Sabrina -while mellowed out now, thanks to Haunter- use to manipulate her opponents for her pleasure, Blaine's battlefield was an active volcano with lava, and Giovanni's gym was destroyed from those three idiots who continued to follow Ash. For all he knew, Ash was injured but that man could have saved him. Hopefully he was right.
Pallet Town, Ketchum Residence
"Here's your tea," Oak said as he plopped down next to Delia. She had been a wreck for the past two days. Her son was gone, for all she knew. Tears continued to pour down her cheeks like it was all she could do at the moment. Oak frowned at this. It has been two days since the betrayal. Ash wanted to be a Pokémon Master, but he could have never predicted that man. He never seen a man... ruthless and ambitious in crushing a trainer's dream. What for?!
Oak was doing his daily routines with his sponsored trainers Pokemon when the man barging in his lab. Oak demanded to know what right he had to that and was met with the same menacing Rhyperior. He commanded to use Horn Drill at the Professor... unless he complied with his demands. Oak agreed to hear his demands, only to find time to select a Pokemon to help him deal with the Ground/Rock type that was aiming its horn at it menacing.
The man said it was simple. Tell Ash to give up on his dream and if he won't agree... kill him. Hand over every last one of his Pokémon, captured, released, or in training.
Oak was appalled at that idea and finally got his hand on a one of his old friends. Oak sent out his Nidoking who landed with a Megahorn ready to go. The lime green horn collided with the Drill Pokemon, not nearly doing enough but knock the beast back a few inches. The man merely stood there, not in shock. He knew it would be tough to deal with a former champion and regional professor. Which is why he had a backup.
The man drew two more Pokeballs, leading Oak to draw two more of his own. They sent out the party members, the man having a Shiftry and a Vikavolt while Oak sent out his own Tauros and Arcanine. The professor planned to take this man down, not wanting to bring any harm to his secondary "grandchild" figure. Nidoking had been beaten back by Rhyperior from a Stone Edge and an Aqua Tail, before the Drill Pokemon batted a Hammer Arm that knocked Nidoking to the ground, effectively K.O. him. Arcanine went in with a Flame Wheel towards Vikavolt, who performed Agility dodging the Fire Type. The Stag Beetle Pokémon rammed into the Legendary Pokémon with an X-Scissors and Poison Jab, poisoning the Fire Type. Tauros was attempting to run the Grass/Dark type down, but Shiftry was more nimble (they had moved the fight into the corral). Tauros collided with multiple trees using either Zen Headbutt or Iron Head to cause the tree to timber and strike but Shiftry kept leaping like a ninja in the trees. Tauros eventually grew tired and was hit with an Energy Ball and then Extrassensory suspending the Wild Bull Pokemon before hurling it into Oak's Arcanine, who was oozing from poison at an alarming rate.
Oak was in shock at this. The man had managed to defeat his Nidoking in about three moves and his other two Pokemon were either poisoned or flinched now. Oak planned to draw his Dragonite, but the man released the same Pokémon that would later hypnotized Brock. Oak's eyes glossed over and returned his fallen Pokémon. The man then left and hypnotized Delia at her house. Like Brock, the two were aware of their actions and breaking free, the trust felt broken with Ash. They were unsure if anything were to help Ash so all they could do is wait and hope Arceus watches over the trainer.
Unaware, the Alpha Pokemon was already doing so.
The sea, unknown location
A Wailord was swimming with a certain trainer on his back. The teenager Red had called was up and at it. He would have taken a plane, but due to the short notice and how expensive tickets were, he decided to use a surfing Pokémon. Also, he hardly really used Wailord in battles due to his size. I mean he wouldn't want to perform Heavy Slam on a smaller Pokémon with Wailord on the field.
Since he was going to the Orange Islands, the teenager was wearing a red crop top hoodie, a pair of ripped jeans shorts, and red tennis shoes. His hair was revealed to be black dreads with blue highlights, which was currently flowing through the salty air. To his side, he had a Pikachu and Eevee with him out of their Pokéballs. He didn't mind it, he always felt himself in nature with Pokémon.
"Been a while since we had an outing like these. Eh, Baleen?" The trainer asked. He was met with a small Water Spout which lightly sprayed mist at him, causing him to giggle. "Yeah, you and I both know I can't use you in battles due to: A. the small stadiums and B. you wanting to belly flop your opponents into submission." Another light spray as response. "Alright, alright. Tell you what, I let you swim in the coral reefs of the Orange Islands. Huh? Huh? I heard it's quite beautiful, but don't cause any trouble. Still reeling over your little incident with Jaws the Sharpedo, Piranha the Bruxish, Neon the Lumineon, and Angler the Lanturn. You know the lake isn't big enough for you. Plus the seaside lab isn't that bad." Another spray. "It's in the ocean. Your natural biome."
'But I always have to stay in the confined area,' Wailord whined, 'and you knew that Leviathan the Gyarados and Ariel the Milotic's breeding season was in session.'
His trainer sighed, he was about to have a long argument with one of his Pokémon again.
