'PokeSpeech'

"Normal Speech"

Random Kanto forest

Ash had finally found a place for him to relax and released his Pokémon from his Pokeballs. He found a lake and needed to rest from their trek. Pikachu and Togepi were curled up at in his lap, the former slightly twitching from paralysis. Ivysaur was sunbathing but sparking from paralysis. Pidgeotto was perched on a branch and keeping her eyes out, sparking as well. Wartortle swam around the lake, getting used to his new form and all but sparking as well. Charizard was being lazy as usual, while Mimey and Psyduck were tucked away in their balls, due to his limit.

Ash was in deep thought. He was still loss from the looks of it. The Ketchum didn't know how to get to the Orange Islands. He wasn't even sure if his Pokémon at the lab were even on his side. He needed to get his Pokémon and head to the Orange Islands, but with Charizard being disobedient and Pidgeotto isn't large enough to fly yet, how would he get there?

Then a bright flash appeared before him. He covered his eyes to prevent being blinded and when it died down, he was joyful.

Ash flashed a happy smile, his other Pokémon were here! And still with him! Kingler and Muk rushed a gave a nuzzle and hug respectively while being cautious of the internal pain. The leader Tauros gave a rare nuzzle to his trainer while the rest stood by protectively, even if they couldn't trample their trainer as much as they wanted to.

"Guys! You're all here! But how?" Ash gleefully said, but was a bit confused.

'I have the answer to that.' A small feminine voice said.

Ash looked up and what he saw was a sight to behold. The Mythical Pokémon Mew! Right before him of all people! "Y-you... You're Mew!" Ash fumbled his Pokédex before successfully scanning the Pokémon before him.

[Mew. The New Species Pokémon. It's very intelligent and can use an incredible variety of moves. Many people believe that all Pokémon are the descendants of this one.]

Mew giggled at the Chosen One's antics, being gobsmacked at seeing him for the second time. Not that he needed to know that.

"Ummm... Mew, not to be rude but what are you doing here? And why do you have my Pokémon with you?" Ash questioned.

'Well, it's kinda hard to explain... but we need to get you to the Orange Islands! And don't worry about your Pokémon limiter. I'm using my psychic abilities to allow you to use all of your Pokémon.'

"Really?!" Ash cried out and released Psyduck and Mimey, the latter being shocked at the amount of Pokémon before him as the former was still being his confusing self. Ash quickly healed his paralyzed Pokémon with the medicine Muk and Kingler had gotten for him and stuffed the rest in his backpack.

'Anyways, let's be on our way!' Mew chirped before glowing and Teleporting herself, Ash, and his Pokémon.

Indigo Plateau, Pokémon Center

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T WHERE HE WENT??!!" Misty roared at Nurse Joy, who recoiled at he tone.

"I'm saying he didn't tell me where he was going," Nurse Joy said calmly to prevent any further hostilely.

Misty left in her newfound attitude towards Ash Ketchum with pure hatred. He was alive and well. And that "thief" had stolen her Psyduck, Togepi, and other Water Types she should have. That brat was always holding her back and while traveling she did get new Pokémon but still she wanted him gone. That man was obviously powerful, and with him on her side she could be the strongest Water Type master that even Juan, Wallace, and other Water Type trainers would look to in awe.

Since she didn't know where to go and Ash was probably long gone by now, she could use a vacation. Perhaps visit the Orange Archipelago for a nice beach day. And she had heard Lorelei was supposed to be there for a nice lecture...

Valencia Island, Orange Islands

A bright light had appeared and died down...

Revealing a massive Pokémon pile with Charizard at the bottom, the entire Tauros herd on top of him. Ash was the top, Pikachu atop of him while Togepi was being his carefree self atop of Pikachu. Mew giggled at the pile before getting everyone settled down. Ash quickly returned his many Pokémon before looking around.

"Where are we?" Ash asked. 'We are on Valencia Island, home to Professor Ivy!' She can store your Pokémon at her lab. So you can keep your six Pokémon on you again,' Mew chimed in.

Ash nodded and followed Mew, who had Transformed into a Rattata to prevent anyone from see her turn form.

Professor Ivy felt alive. She was riding her mighty Gyarados near her lab for her daily routine. Being a Professor was great and all, but sometimes she felt like she needed to battle or just be with Pokemon in nature rather than be coped up in her lab.

She performed a flip of the Atrocious Pokémon's head and landed on her feet. Her Gyarados bent down nuzzling he affectionately. "Yes, yes. Gyarados, you have been doing great," she told the Pokemon. She had one of the rare affectionate Gyarados, since they were known for their tempers.

After that, Ivy went to her lab...

Where she saw a boy with a blue jacket, a Pikachu, and a Rattata standing at his side.

"Hello there," she called out from behind him.

It was probably a bad idea considering she had startled him. The boy flinched and turned around. Getting a better look of his face, she saw z marks along his checks. Her eyes slightly widen, Ivy had only seen one other trainer with those marks...

But she dismissed that idea, thinking it was just a coincidence.

"...Are you by any chance the Professor?" The boy asked. From what she could tell, he had to muster some courage for that sentence. She concluded he was just timid, bashful, or shy.

"That's me! Professor Ivy, how can I be of service?"

"...I was wondering if I could store my Pokémon with you?"

This confused her. From the looks of it, he only had two Pokémon. Perhaps he had caught too many?

"Sure. I'll just need your Pokédex to connect your account to my lab."

The boy reached for his Pokédex and gave it to her. Ivy opened the lab door and made her way to the P.C. in order to register his account.

Ash took a seat at the table, still nervous about the whole ordeal. Mew had tried to convince him not everyone was out for him. But the Ancestral Pokémon could only counsel him so much. Pikachu did his best to stand guard, not fully trusting the Professor either, but was ready to shock if necessary. Ash had to admit that he might not travel with other humans again.

Professor Ivy had successfully hooked his Pokedex's account. She got an overall view of his Pokémon. A Pikachu, Pidgeotto, Ivysaur, Charizard, Wartortle, Kingler, Muk, THIRTY Tauros, and a Togepi. He had a Butterfree which was released and a Primeape who was currently training. Not a single mention of a Rattata, rather he had seen many before. And his name was...

Ash Ketchum.

Ketchum. She had heard that name somewhere before, but she couldn't place where.

A little more scrolling, she found out more information such as his starter was the Pikachu and his Pokémon were originally stored with at Oak's. So, why did he need to store his Pokémon here?

"Hey, um, Ash? I have a few questions to ask you," she said in a polite yet curious tone.

That made Ash tense up. He figured he could just get his Pokémon transferred over, but this was proving to be a difficult process than he thought.

"It said that you were originally stored your Pokémon at Oak's lab. Why do you need to store then here?" The professor asked.

"Um... well..." Ash started, unable to phrase a sentence. Ivy began to note his stuttering and sweating. Had something happened between the trainer and Oak? She was going to need a straight answer.

'Rattata' noted his fear and decided to go for broke. Mew transformed into her true form before Ivy. Said professor looked in shocked as the New Species Pokemon before her very eyes...

And fainted from the sight.

Ash immediately began to panic with the Professor out, Pikachu trying to counsel him, while Mew's eyes glowed.

Professor Ivy's Dreamscape

Ivy rubbed her head and regained consciousness. She saw herself in an endless void that seemed to go on for miles. A flash of pink appeared before her and Mew materialized right in front of her. Ivy would have fainted in shock, but she doubt she could fall into unconsciousness again.

'Fear not human, just see what I need to show you,' the Mythical said. Ivy just nodded, still trying to wrap her head around the fact that a Mythcial Pokémon was in her presence.

Mew's eyes glowed and unleashed a rush of memories. All relating to Ash.

Ivy gasped as she saw Oak and the four others nearly attack Ash. Ivy closely observed Oak and the two others, they seemingly looked under mind control while the orange haired girl was speaking freely. And the shady man... she just shivered. While she was in her corporeal form, she still shuddered at the sheer power. After the rush of memories of the betrayal, Mew chimed in. 'Now you see why. Now please help this trainer!'

Ivy understand it now. "Ok. How do I help?"

'First of all, he needs to store his Pokémon here. New captures and all. Respond to his calls when switching the Pokémon, the usual Pokémon Professor thing.'

"But why can't he store them at Oak's?" Ivy questioned.

'I'm afraid Oak's lab is compromised. Plus the betrayal may have damaged Ash's relationship towards the professor.'

Ivy nodded along with it.

'Now hurry! Who knows if that man is capable of! He could be coming right now for all we know.'

Ivy nodded in a hurry and tried to wake herself from this state.

Ivy's eyes opened and saw she was back in her lab. Doing a quick turn around, she saw Ash with a worried expression and his Pikachu charging up an electric attack.

"I saw everything and I'm sorry for intruding. You can store your Pokemon here as long as you need," Ivy said trying to diffuse any tension. Before working on getting his Pokémon squared away.

Ash calmed down while letting out a breath, Pikachu as well for his charge began to die down. The Professor was on their side. Mew giggled at the spectacle, everything was going okay.

In the corral of Professor Ivy's lab, Ash released all his Pokémon. He was met with various Pokémon noises.

"Alright, everyone. This is where we will be staying from here on out," Ash said. He could tell that a majority of his Pokémon were tense, given the betrayal. Ivysaur, Wartortle, and Pidgeotto looked around for a bit before Pikachu gave them the okay. The Tauros herd immediately began to stampede around the place, Kingler went to a nearby pool, Pidgeotto took off to a nearby tree, Wartortle and Ivysaur were still getting used to their new bodies so they had a few self training lessons, Charizard was being himself (lazy and arrogant), Muk began to slouch near a shaded area, Mimey helped out Ivy with any chores due to his cleaning habits, Psyduck wandered around, and Togepi was trailing behind Pikachu and Mew who was still with Ash.

Ash saw his Pokémon and began to relax a bit. If they were relaxed, he could relax. That's how he felt right now. Ivy had offered him a room for him to stay in for as long as he needed. He appreciated that. She may not be a friend but Ash was glad to know the Professor was willing to help him out.

Soon, it was dusk. Ash headed upstairs to his new room and decided to sleep. Pikachu curled up next to him and nuzzled his body, reassuring him everything would be okay. Ash slowly drifted off and began to dream, his starter soon afterwards.

Mew smiled at this. The Chosen One was coming together again. She could sense doubt, fear, and anger Ash was giving off. But sooner or later, he would come around. And to make sure of this, Mew summoned a pure red Pokeball, tapped it and was captured.

Unknown Location

The shady man warped in with his Claydol. He stood before a large castle that gave off an ominous aura to anyone who dared to look at it without their darkness in their heart. Returning his Claydol, the man walked passed two guards that stood still and enter the main room.

"Well, well. Looks who back," a gruffly voice called out.

The shady figure turned his attention to the voice, a muscular man with a black shirt, gray pants and boots, leaning against the wall. The shady figure rolled his eyes, not in the mood. "What is it, King."

King just shrugged, "Nothing. Just announcing your glorious return. I take it the problem you want gone is gone?"

"Unfortunately, no."

King snickered, "Good, because Vanessa now owes me twenty Pokebucks."

"You bet that I would fail?"

"Relax, your 'highness.' I was just saying."

"Bet on my failure is a ticket to your death," the shady man snarled, clearly angry.

King smirked, having get under his skin, "I'm just saying, even with help from his mother, grandfather figure, and two friends, you can't destroy the boy's spirit. Let alone kill him."

"If his father hadn't shown up, the job would have been finished."

Now it was King's turn to snarl, "Red was there?"

"Of course, he was. He's been training. That Venusaur and Blastoise defeated Rhyperior. But the old man has gotten rusty. Defeated his Nidoking easily and his Tauros and Arcanine were incapacitated."

King smirked, "At least, you defeated him. And Dustin was worried that he would have been a 'complication.'"

The shady figure snickered himself, "Well, I did say I was going to keep in touch. So now we play the waiting game."

The muscular man let out a small groan. He hated the waiting game.

"Anyways, how are our moles? Infiltrating Team Rocket successfully?"

"Of course. Giovanni is doing well. We have new followers within the group that are joining our cause. But his experiment fled and we haven't been able to track it since."

The shady man growled. That's what Giovanni gets for thinking he can play Arceus.

"Well, all we can do is wait. No doubt, the boy is still alive. And with Red saving him, it's a fact. If he has that brat with him to tutor the boy, he might become a threat, sooner than we thought."

"So, what do we do in the meantime?" King asked.

"...Prepare ourselves. Like I said, we are playing the waiting game now."
