Across the Atlantic Ocean, a pod of dolphins were splashing about near a white yacht. The owner of the yacht is a handsome young adult with brown hair and eyes. He wore a nice clean white dress shirt, jeans, a red sash around his waist, and black boots. He sat at the rail with his German Shepherd, looking out in the clear sky.

"Prince Caleb!"

Caleb turned around and saw his advisor, Alexander "Alex", a young adult with black hair and a Philippine heritage, rushing towards him while trying to stabilize himself on the boat. Alex is wearing a blue plaid dress shirt, jeans, and blue converse. Caleb chuckled at his friend, Alexander was always the one to be seasick.

"Must you stare at the horizon like you haven't seen it a million times before?" Alex said before catching himself on the rail.

"Sorry, Alex. But sometimes I can't help it," the prince said, "the ocean is were I can find peace, regardless of my situation. Right, Zoe?" His German Shepherd barked in agreement. Like her master, the German Shepherd loved to sea as well.

Alex held back a groan. Sometimes he wonders why the prince ever found the ocean so calming. Being below the surface just gave him anxiety. And this yacht rocking back and forth wasn't helping his position.

"What can he say, Alex? The ocean practically entraps him. Like a siren or a mermaid!" A fellow sailor said, before beginning to sing a song.

"I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue

And it's hey to the starboard, heave ho!

Brave sailor, beware, 'cause a big 'uns a brewin'

In mysterious fathoms below!

Heave ho!"

"Ughhhhh, don't start on those ocean myths. The ocean may not be fully discovered, but I find it utterly impossible to find such creatures in the ocean without human interferences." Alex complained.

"I'll sing you a song of the king of the sea

And it's hey to the starboard, heave-ho!

The ruler of all the oceans is he

In the mysterious fathoms below

Fathoms below, below!

From whence wayward westerlies blow!

Where the descendant of Poseidon is king

And his merpeople sing

In the mysterious fathoms below!"

"Please, Alex. Scientists haven't been able to document anything that deep yet. And if such creatures existed, they surely wouldn't have such nonsense tales," Caleb said.

SPLASH!

A bottlenose dolphin had jumped near the yacht. Caleb and Alex turned their attention to the mammal, while Zoe barked at it. The dolphin let out a click before diving below the waves. Caleb smiled before getting lost in the salty breeze.

To him, the sea was like a second home. Even if it had dangerous aspects in it like pressure, giant squids, and the unknown depth lurking creatures, the ocean was were he could go to get away from everything. He let out a small song to go along with the sailor's chant.

"The salt on your skin

And the wind in your hair

And waves as they ebb and they flow

We are miles from shore

And guess what - I don't care!"

"As for me, I'm about to heave h-hmph!" Alex let out before clenching the handle to keep himself balanced. Caleb, and to the lesser extent Zoe, snickered at his friend's antics.

"Ah...ah...ah...ah...ah...ah"

Caleb's head immediately perked up to that voice. He had never heard someone sing like this before. This voice... was so enticing to him. Who ever had a voice like that must be as perfect as the sea. Caleb ran up to the top deck and pulled out a telescope and kept in eye out for the person with the hypnotic singing.

"Uh, Caleb? What are you doing?" Alex asked.

Caleb stopped his search to answer Alex. "You didn't hear that?"

"Hear what?"

Caleb dismissed it. Perhaps his mind was playing tricks on him.

SPLASH!

Caleb looked down to see another bottlenose dolphin take a dive below the waves. Perhaps the voice was as elusive as proof of ocean mythology. He decided to halt his search and head back to his homeland. Not like he was going to like it, since Alex would nag him about his duties as royalty. But alas, he was glad to be at sea. The yacht began to move, leaving its position in the ocean.

Unbeknownst to them, a cute merman arose from his hiding spot, completely interested in the fleeing vessel. He stopped to perch himself on the rocks. Enjoying the sunlight as he did.

Below the ocean, the two bottlenose dolphins that had encountered Caleb's yacht began to dive down to the depths of the ocean. They swam past coral reefs and other various sea flora and fauna. Soon, they came across an underwater kingdom. This was the kingdom known as Atlantis.

Unlike popular beliefs of a city trapped in Roman times, Atlantis has become modernized over the years. It had technology that rivaled today's human technology. The merfolk had access to the internet, phones, and much other technologies. There was the still common practice of Altantean magic along with science in the society.

And all the merfolk who lived in Atlantis made their way to the music hall for a grand performance. The audience was packed with merfolk and marine animals ranging from various fish schools and sea turtles to dolphins and seals, even a few sharks and whales had room for themselves. A small lone seahorse came arrived on the stage at first, before clear his voice to get their attention.

"Presenting your royal highness, King Poseidon!"

The crowd erupted in cheers at the mention of their king as the King himself arrived in a human sized seashell chariot, two dolphins pulling the reins. King Poseidon was a muscular light skin man with sea green hair and beard while his body half had a teal merman tail with fins. He had possessed his sacred Trident which glowed and fired a blast that struck an underwater chandelier, causing it to shine.

"And presenting the distinguished Court Composer, Joshua Felonious Ignacious Crustaceous Crab!" The seahorse squeaked.

A lighter applause manifested after the announcement. A red rock crab came out in a seashell chariot carried by two saltwater fish. Joshua or "Josh" the crustacean accepted the applause with utmost smile. He decided to blow a kiss but then he lost control of his chariot. He managed to pull up next to the King luckily.

"I am looking forward to this performance, Josh," Poseidon told the crab.

"Yes, your majesty. This will be the finest concert I have ever conducted! Your daughters and son will be magnificent beyond imagination!" Josh boasted.

"Yes," the King said before whispering, "especially my little Seth."

Josh flashed a big smile, "Yes, your son has the most wonderful voice." He said before muttering, "if only he would show up to rehearsals once in a while."

Josh knew he had the youngest child of Poseidon had the most beautiful voice in the kingdom. But he hardly showed up to rehearsals. Hopefully he wouldn't let Josh down today.

Josh made his way to the conductor stands as the lights produced a spotlight over him. He pulled out sheet music from his chariot, put in place before grabbing his conductor wand and tapped to get the orchestra attention. The aquatic orchestra began to play a delightful melody as four prop clams appeared on the stage.

Three clams opened and revealed two mermaids within them, singing.

"Oh we are the children of Poseidon

Kind father who is and taught us well,

Jordan, Kayla, London, Brooklyn, Reese, Gabbie, and Seth"

At his balcony, Poseidon had a massive smile on his face. He was impressed with his daughters singing, but his son's voice was something else. The only voice that rivaled his youngest was their mother, who unfortunately passed away.

"In concert we hope to enlighten

The hearts of the merfolk with music's swell

Jordan

Kayla

London

Brooklyn

Reese

Gabbie"

After swinging their names, they began to swim around the unopened clam with a gleeful tone. Their faces were excited as their little brother was about to make his singing debut.

"And then there is our youngest in his musical debut

Our seventh little brother

We are presenting him to you

To sing a little song Josh wrote

His voice is like a bell

He's our brother, Seth-"

The concert came to a halt as the fourth clam opened and revealed no one inside. The mermaid sisters gasped in horror, Josh in fear,...

"SETH!"

And Poseidon roared with fury that would have sent waves across the world.
