Above shore, Caleb played his flute with the same tune that savior sang to him. Zoe was with him this time and heard her owner play.

Caleb felt like he was acting like a child with a crush, but he could't help it. He was drawn to the savior whoever they maybe. He longed to find someone with that voice and Alex even briefly suggested holding a contest with the finest voices of princesses, since he was certain the savior was a female. Caleb was slightly onboard with the idea, perhaps the savior was of land and not the sea as he thought.

He sighed as he leaned against a column on his mansion. Why did his savior have to be so elusive?

Zoe barked at her owner's expression. What was wrong with him?

"It's nothing, girl," Caleb reassured his pet, "I'm just thinking about... them." He ran his hands through his hair and before petting Zoe. "I've can't get them out of my head. I've looked everywhere. Where could they be?"

Zoe licked Caleb's cheek, giving the prince some comfort as he looked in the distance.

Little did he know, he would soon get the chance.

On the other side of the beach, not too far from Caleb's mansion, Seth was lying against a rock, his face pillowed in his arms. While he didn't do any swimming, he was exhausted and sore from the transformation. Breanna was in-between shallow and oceanic zone, not getting too close at the risk of being beached, Haven rested on another rock with her fins exposed and Josh, while also not swimming, was a bit exhausted from the ordeal.

Seth eventually gained enough strength and his fogginess cleared allow him to focus. As he focused, he felt his legs.

Wait? Legs?

Seth immediately brushed his wet hair out of his face and saw his knees. Slowly, he raised his newfound appendages revealing five human toes. Resting his hand on his neck, the former merman felt no trace of his gills along his skin. He smiled. Addison's magic had worked!

The only clothes and accessories that stayed with his transformation was his aquamarine necklace and purple shirt. Addison had proved a small pair of tattered pants so he was covered from the waist down.

'It's real. I'm human. I'm really human! Legs and toes!' Seth thought excitedly.

"Well, look what the catfish dragged in!" Marcus announced as he flew down to the former merman's level, which was coincidentally on Seth's newfound leg. The pelican looked puzzled as he rubbed his head with a wing. "Look at you! There's something different about you. Wait, don't tell me. Let me guess."

Marcus looked up Seth before coming to his conclusion, "I got it! New hairdo! You've been using the fork, haven't you?"

Seth just grinned and shook his head.

"No, then your shirt! It's a different shade of purple!"

Seth shook his head again and began to bounce his leg up and down, hopping the waterfowl would get the hint.

"No new shirt," Marcus mused, "I got to admit, I can't put my foot on it right now, but if I stand here long enough-"

"HE'S GOT LEGS, YOU IMBECILE!" yelled Josh, having grown impatient, which caused the pelican to jump and land on the rock Josh was on. "For Neptune's sake, are you completely blind?"

"I was just joking," Marcus defended. "Well, don't! This isn't a time for joking!" Josh ranted.

"Seth traded his voice to Addison for legs. And he's got three days to get Caleb to fall in love with him," Haven explained in a more calm but also scared tone.

"Not your pipes!" Marcus cried before Seth demonstrated he has lost his voice. The former merman then attempted to stand on his legs for the first time. He managed to take three steps, but on his fourth he fell back into the sea, splashing the crustacean and bird. While Breanna and Haven found it amusing, and Marcus shortly after, Josh continued to panic while Seth picked a piece on seaweed from his hair.

"Just look at him! On legs! On human legs! This is a catastrophe! What would his father say if he saw Seth right now?" Josh ranted as he thought of a year long hurricane and unwavering waves nonstop by the sea king. "Oh, sweet Neptune's beard! I'll tell you what he'd say! He'd fry himself a crab! There goes my career as a composer." Josh dramatically flopped back-first to the rock before getting up and scurrying into the sea. He then found himself blocked by Haven's tail fins.

"And just where do you think you're going?" Haven asked as Josh shoved passed her fins.

"Where do you think?!" Josh snapped at the mermaid, "I'm not going to sit around and wait for my execution! I'm going back right now and telling him like I should have done in the first place!"

Seth turned in shock and cupped the crustacean in his hands, shaking his head in defense and mouthing "Please, no!"

"And don't you shake your head at me, young man!" Josh continued before coming up with an idea, "Maybe there's still time. Maybe we can talk to Addison, get him to return your voice and undo the spell, that way you could go home and be just..." the invertebrate's voice died out when he saw the look on the Seth's pleading face.

It was filled with devastation, the same look he had when Poseidon destroyed his collection. Josh's mind began to recall the damage he had done before continuing, "... just as miserable for the rest of your life. Alright, alright. I'll try to help ya find the prince." Seth smiled and gave a small kiss on the crab's face.

"Oh boy. What a soft-shell I'm turning out to be," Josh muttered before turning stern, "Well, we've got work to do. We've got to find the prince."

"Or," Breanna started, "we could address Seth's walking problem first?" Seth was taking a few more steps but his legs were extremely wobbly from each step.

"True." Haven admitted.

After twenty minutes, Seth was walking albeit with some shaky but still an improvement. "Ok, like I've said," Marcus instructed, "One foot in front of the other. Don't even think about it." Seth did as he was told before performing better with less wobbly behavior.

On the other side of the beach, Caleb and Zoe began to head in before the dog picked up a familiar scent. The German Shepherd began to bark happily, getting her owner's attention. "Zoe? What is it girl?" Caleb asked, only for the canine to take off. "Zoe!" Caleb cried out and chased down his dog.

"Alright he's got the steps down!" Haven cheered. Seth was officially standing on his legs, proud of his accomplishment.

"BARK! BARK!"

Zoe came running over, barking in a happy tone and rushed towards Seth. Josh panicked and hid in Seth's tattered pant's pocket as Haven and Breanna dove into the ocean to prevent themselves from being discovered. Marcus meanwhile squawked before taking off and getting some distance from the dog.

Zoe made her way over and began jumping up and down at Seth, who positioned himself on a rock. The German Shepherd got a lucky lick against the former merman's cheek. Seth merely smiled at the affection, if Zoe could recognize him...

"Zoe!"

Seth couldn't believe his ears. Caleb finally caught up to Zoe who was still eager and ran over to him, almost in a guiding manner. "What's gotten into you, girl?" the human prince said before taking notice of Seth on the rock, "Oh... I see."

Seth gasped before fixing his blue highlighted black hair to the best of his ability. Caleb slowly approached the 'stranded,' at least to his knowledge, boy. "Are you okay, mister? Sorry, if she gave you a scare. She's just super friendly," Caleb both acknowledged and informed the light-skinned male. Seth merely rubbed the head of Zoe, who was content with the affection.

Caleb felt as if he had seen this boy before, but he couldn't put his finger on it. The cyan and green necklace, black hair with blue streaks, and a purple shirt. But he had to make sure if his hunch was correct. "You seem familiar to me. Have we met before?"

Seth immediately nodded his head.

"We have met. I knew it! You're the one aren't you!" Caleb exclaimed. He had finally met the one who saved him from the shipwreck. The prince placed his hands in Seth's. "I'm Prince Caleb. What's your name?" He eagerly said, wanting to know.

Seth began to speak only for no words to come out. The former merman became crestfallen at the remembrance of what it took for him to gain his newfound appearance. He was mute and couldn't tell Caleb anything.

Caleb noted the 'stranded' boy's face, "What's wrong?"

Seth patted his throat and ran his finger across it, signaling his current inability.

"You can't speak?" guessed Caleb.

Seth solemnly nodded and the brunette's face merely fell in disappointment. "Oh," Caleb began, "sorry, then you couldn't be who I thought."

Zoe let out a whine and Seth just blew some on his hair up before coming up with another idea. He began to do various actions to describe events. "What is it?" Caleb asked, "You're hurt? Lost?"

Seth crossed his arms at the guesses before nearly slipping off the rock. Luckily, Caleb caught him and held him in a bridal style, "Whoa! Careful! Easy there!" Both princes stared into each other's gaze before Caleb spoke, "You've must have been through something traumatic, haven't you?"

All Seth did was nod along, since he couldn't explain his position, and lesser extent, goal, to his crush. Caleb gave a sympathetic look, "Don't worry. I'll help you out. Do you have somewhere to go?"

Seth just shook his head. "Well, don't worry. I'll take care of you. You can stay in my mansion. Would that be alright?" Caleb asked and received a nod. "Well, then, if you're ready, we'll go now." Caleb had Seth's arm around his shoulder and the two princes made their way to the mansion with Zoe being chipper. Seth, on the side, flashed a huge smile on his face to his water-based friends, who wished him luck before diving away.

Alex gave a quizzical stare to the boy Caleb had brought back. At first he was uncomfortable with Seth in the mansion, but after Caleb explained his situation, he softened his gaze and gave a warm welcome to the silent boy.

Seth was allowed to stay in the guest room and much to his surprise it briefly reminded him of his old room. The bed was very comfy from when he first sat on it and the room gave him a seaside view that Seth came to adore. The mansion had such wonderful decor and furniture that Seth had never seen before. All these new human things he had seen and he was blown away. Seth was treated with kindness by the servants as he was still getting used to his new behaviors as a human.

Currently, Seth was playing in a bubblebath. The former merman blew some bubbles in the palm of his hands as he was being treated by a servant named Abbey. Seth relaxed as he found the bubbles enjoyable.

"Washed up from a shipwreck no doubt," Abbey put together, "Poor thing. Don't worry, we'll have you feeling better in no time." The servant picked up Seth's former clothes before tossing them to another servant, who placed them in a washing machine with Josh still instead.

The crustacean was able to scurry away, but soon found himself lost in the mansion. He was looking nonstop for Seth but had no luck. Due to his size, he had to hide from any servants and avoid humans, since they might think he would be an 'invader.' He soon came across a door and with curiosity he entered.

Although, he soon wished he didn't.

The room he had entered had fish, crustaceans, and other various assortment of seafood all dead. And Josh promptly fainted at the sight.

In the dining area of the mansion, Caleb leaned against the windows that showed the ocean, while conversing with Alex as they waited for their guest. Caleb had gotten dressed up in a more formal attire: being a clean white dress shirt, black bow tie, a purple sweater vest, slacks with a belt, dress socks and lace up dress shoes. Alex was now in a grey suit jacket that covered his blue dress shirt and navy blue tie with grey suit pants, grey dress socks and brown lace up dress shoes.

Caleb was once again, debating with Alex about his savior which the advisor merely quoting there are hundred fish in the sea. Both boys were growing frustrated with one another about the discussion since it has been a week since.

"Caleb, man, be reasonable. No one has such an enchanting voice or go rescuing unconscious sailors and disappear without a trace," said Alex.

"Alex, I'm telling you, for the last time, I'm not making this up. They were real! I'm going to find whoever they are," insisted Caleb before thinking, 'And I'm going to marry them.'

"Come on, in dear," the servant said as she escorted Seth in. "No need to be shy."

Seth entered the room and took Caleb's breath away. The mute had been dressed in a pink dress shirt, a black bow tie, black trousers with a belt, black dress socks and slip on loafers. He still wore his cyan and green necklace. His hair was neatly combed with his highlighted hair. On his face, Seth had a nervous smile that caused Caleb to turn red. Caleb thought he looked handsome from the get-go.

"Well, isn't he a sight," Alex commented with a smile.

"Wow, guess I'm the one who's speechless now," Caleb said and saw a notepad and pencil in the light-skin's hand. "What's that for?"

Seth began to write on it before presenting it to Caleb. Since I can't talk, Abbey suggested using a pencil and paper to communicate better.

Caleb nodded along in agreement. It would make things easier for his mute guest to talk to.

"So, what's your name?" Caleb questioned as Seth began to write. Seth

"Wow, quite the name," the prince complimented to where Seth blushed, "In that case, it's a pleasure to meet Seth. I look forward to getting to know you while you're here."

Seth nodded and wrote. Thank you. The pleasure is all mine.

Seth was shortly escorted to the table, and Caleb, being a gentleman, pulled out Seth's seat before taking his own place. "So, Seth, tell us about yourself. What do you like to do for fun? Any interests?"

Seth thought about it before writing down his hobbies. I sometimes do art and go exploring. I am also fond of animals. Sea creatures especially.

"Quite interesting," Alex said before joking, "I hope your not opposed to eating seafood then."

Seth mauled the idea over. While it was true he didn't mind eating seafood as he is a merman and they occasionally had seafood themselves, as a human he was a bit fearful of eating someone he possibly knew. The latter thought won out, and Seth wrote in a hurry state. I rather not eat seafood.

"Oh, I see," Alex voiced before changing the subject, "Perhaps we could whip something else up. How about say a salad?"

Seth nodded at that idea. In the ocean, salad's were all kelp with hints of some Atlantean spices so he was on board with that food for the time being.

There were a few crashes in the kitchen which drew the attention of the people in the dining area. "Ummmm," Abbey said before excusing herself to see what had happened in the kitchen.

And when she arrived, she was greeted with an odd sight.

The kitchen had turned into a war zone and the chef was currently stuck with his head underneath a table. "Why you little devil! Come out, you pipsqueak, and fight me like a man!"

"Robby!" Abbey shouted, getting the chef's attention. The newly identified Robby bumped his head against the table he was looking under and came out before becoming sheepish with Abbey's stern look.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Abbey continued.

"Well, I-I-I was just," Robby began to stutter before not being able to find the right words to describe what he had just went through. Abbey rolled her eyes before taking the plates to the dining hall.

Dinner was a bit odd as Abbey returned with the meals. Seth had noticed Josh on a plate hiding underneath a piece of lettuce. While Caleb and Alex were distracted, the former merman beckoned Josh to scurry over to him which he did before Seth nonchalantly placed him on the ground before regrading instructions to the guest room he was staying at. The crustacean bolted and found his way before waiting patiently in the room.

After dinner, Seth roamed the hallways, intrigued by human architecture. It was different from Atlantean culture, having more gold and marble rather than any sea related colors. Seth eventually found himself in the ballroom. The room consisted of beautiful arched ceilings with water based colors. It had a seaside view on the balcony and a large mural depicting a ship with a mermaid on the helm. Seth made out small details such as a whale in the background and dolphins along the side. The ship was different than the ones he had normally seen today.

"There you are. I was wondering where you'd gone off to," Caleb said coming in the ballroom.

What's with the picture, Seth wrote.

"Ah yes, that picture was one of the ships my dad used to sail," Caleb informed before a solemn look came over him, "He passed away and my mom shortly afterwards."

Seth saw his expression and immediately wrote again, Sorry, I didn't mean to bring up a horrible memory.

"It's alright, you didn't know," Caleb said before asking a question, "So do you have any family?"

A dad and six sisters. My mom died when I was young, Seth explained.

"Oh, well I'm sorry for your lost," Caleb apologized, "Six sisters, huh? Must be a handful. Gets noisy where you're from doesn't it?"

You have no idea. Sometimes they fight over the simplest things like makeup, Seth commented.

Caleb let out a light chuckle, "Look at us. A quiet boy in a noisy world and me, a prince who would rather be at sea. We're like... fish out of water! You and I!"

Seth slightly paled at that term. Caleb noticed his expression, "Oh right. Your love for sea creatures, my mistake." The former merman wrote, It's okay. Fish are... let's just say important from where I'm from.

"Ah, I see," Caleb made a mental note to refrain from all fish related jokes. Though he had one question he wants to ask.

"So," Caleb began, "What with your voice? Was it an accident or-" Seth turned away from the prince, not sure how he would be able to explain the whole debacle he was currently in. He had his hands on his aquamarine necklace as a remembrance of what his dad did and led him to make such a sacrifice.

"What is it? It's a touchy subject isn't it?" Caleb voiced as he saw the mute's somewhat sadden expression. He had an idea to turn his guest's mood with his recent question.

"Who needs words anyways?" the brunette said, "Nimble on your feet are you? Dance beats small talk any day." Seth thought about what he had said. It's true, dance is usually a better way to communicate than using words.

"Why sure. It's the way your feet smile, laugh. It lets you say so many things," Caleb mentioned before pulling out what Seth could describe as something related to a seashell phone they used in Atlantis. Caleb found what he was looking for and began to play some classical music from his phone as he began to sing.

"Dancing is a language that is felt instead of heard

You can whisper, sing or shout without so much as a word

Try it, go on, like so..."

Caleb started with a bow which Seth copied before doing a few movements as the latter watched before attempting to mimic them to the best of his ability. While he was used to walking, dancing was different. The light skin felt a bit of a klutz but the brunette reassured him before taking slower steps to where Seth got comfortable with his coordination.

"Just let your emotions tell your body what to do

See how much a single gesture can reveal!

And every little step

Every single step

Is one step closer

To saying what you feel

Once the music hits you, inhibitions fall away

And you find that you're expressing things

Your voice daren't say

Don't be afraid, let go!"

Satisfied by Seth's steps, Caleb placed Seth's hand on his shoulder before his right hand into his and intertwined their fingers. This made Seth almost blush at the contact he was with his crush. Then they counted their steps as they slowly began to dance across the ballroom. Seth felt his heart pounding with joy as he attempted to keep up with Caleb's movement. He had never danced with someone before and with Caleb, he was overjoyed with him leading.

"Soon as you surrender, what's inside will sweep on through

As the boundaries between us disappear!

And every little step

Every single step

Is one step closer

To talking loud and clear"

Caleb took his turn to twirl Seth around as they danced. It started as a simple lesson to a wonderful waltz. Seth never felt so graceful and confident in his life, and he loved it. But he loved more was Caleb's face as they danced, the prince smiled at him. Seth came to a stop as Caleb extending his hand once again for a slow graceful coordination.

"A dance is like a conversation

Except you never need to make a sound

And once you've begun

You speak as one

Give and take

Back and forth

Round and round"

After a series of dance steps with each other, Caleb took Seth's hand and spun him around the ballroom. To the former merman, it felt like they were flying. Seth smiled as Caleb lifted him in the air, spun him around, and leaned in closer when he pulled him in. Seth had his back to Caleb's chest as the brunette wrapped his arms around him. Seth loved this embrace and never wanted it to end.

"A dance is like a conversation

Except your lips don't ever need to part

And once you've begun

You speak as one

Cheek to cheek

Toe to toe

Heart to heart"

Seth slowly looked up into Caleb's brown eyes and Caleb found himself gazing into the eyes of the mute. Caleb couldn't describe it but he felt a sense of amazement as he waltzed with Seth. They broke apart and only had their hands together. They shortly disconnected before bowing to one another. Caleb slowly walked up to Seth, singing the last lyrics.

"Dancing is a language that is felt instead of heard

But it says much more than language ever could

And every little step

Every single step

Is one step closer...

One step closer...

One step closer

To being understood..."

Caleb found himself stroking Seth's hair slightly. The prince smiled, just admiring the mute. It was like it was meant to be. Seth placed his own hand along Caleb's, giving the brunette a long gaze. Caleb placed his hand on Seth's chin, admiring the gaze as he did.

But the human prince hesitated before hearing the voice once again.

"Ah... ah... ah... ah..." Caleb's head began to look around for the source. Seth noticed his frantic searching before gaining a quizzical expression. "Do you hear something?" Caleb asked, now ignoring the mute, much to his dismay. The brunette noticed his guest's crestfallen face before apologizing, "Sorry, I haven't been myself lately."

Caleb then asked, "Say, Seth, would you like to join me on a tour of the town tomorrow?" Seth eagerly nodded at that idea. Tomorrow, just him and Caleb!

"Wonderful. We'll leave say around 10 o'clock," Caleb said before noticing the time, "It's getting late. I'm sure you know where the guest room is. Well goodnight." With a bow, Caleb headed towards his quarters and Seth watched him go. As soon as he left, Seth couldn't help but smile and spin himself around with his arms behind him.

Already the first day and he was making progress.

Later that night, up in his room, Seth watched Caleb in the courtyard. The prince was playing with Zoe, who was eager and energetic. Zoe brought back a frisbee Caleb had thrown and received many scratches around her body. Caleb just laughed before turning to Seth's window. The former merman noticed the attention he was receiving and meekly waved with a blush on his face before going back into her room.

Up in his room, Seth was getting ready for bed. He had on a white t-shirt and black shorts, while combing his hair with a fork, since he had snuck on out of the dining room. While he did find out, it wasn't a proper hair care item, he still enjoyed using it as a comb. Meanwhile, Josh was going on his usual rant about how his day went.

"This has been without a doubt, the single most humiliating day of my life!" huffed Josh as he received a small pat on his carapace. "I hope you know what I'm putting myself through for you, Seth!"

Seth found a light switch which he flipped off causing the room to go dark. Seth flicked it back on before repeating the process six more times and fully turning off the light, fascinated by the system that allowed him to turn off light at his will. The former merman sat back on the mattress before slowly sinking into it. The mattress was extremely comfortable and soft, which somewhat reminded him of the clam beds he had slept in. He pulled over the covers and rested his head against the pillow.

"Now, we got to make a plan to get that boy to kiss you," the invertebrate planned, "Tomorrow, when he takes you for that ride, you gotta look your best. You gotta bat your eyes like this," Josh demonstrated, "Pucker up your lips, so if he gets you into a smooching mood, you'll be prepared to..." Josh ended his explanation when he saw Seth had fallen asleep. Josh just sighed to himself before sleeping himself.

"You're hopeless, child," Josh muttered before smiling and sleeping.

Meanwhile in Atlantis, Poseidon paced the throne room with utmost fear.

After his display of anger towards Seth's grotto, Poseidon came to regret his actions and went to apologize to his son for his behavior. He acted before hearing out his son. He went back after a while from his outburst to see Seth, hoping he could fix his now possibly damaged relationship with his only son. But he wasn't able to find him. Poseidon thought he needed some time to himself and allowed that. But when Seth didn't return at nightfall, the sea king became frighten. Not to mention, Haven, Breanna, or Josh had been found either.

With the absence of his son, Poseidon was forced to believe the worst: Seth was missing. Scared for his son, Poseidon ordered search parties to scour the kingdom and the entire ocean if they have to. His daughters even joined in the search and Poseidon intended to join them but he remained in the palace.

A seashore entered the throne room which brought him some hope. "Has there any sign of them?" Poseidon asked but his former hope turned to despair when he heard the answer.

"No, your Majesty. We've searched the entire kingdom, but we found no trace of your son, Miss Haven, Miss Breanna, or Joshua."

Despite the heartbreaking news, Poseidon refused to give up. "Continue searching. Leave no stone unturned, no reef unexplored, every cavern explored. Let no none in this kingdom sleep until their home safe and sound!"

The seahorse, while tired, nodded before taking off.

Poseidon sank into his throne, filled with heartbreak. He placed his hand to his forehand, feeling nothing but shame and regret. This was all his fault and he knew it. He had destroyed his son's collection of the world above and driven his little merman away. Poseidon overreacted and he knew it. Seth's actions in collecting the human objects, saving a human and falling in love with a human may have been politically wrong, but morally they weren't. He drove Seth away all over his own grudge.

He began to recall the earlier days. When merpeople could visit the surface to their hearts content but still be hidden from human interactions. When the queen was alive. He, the girls, and Seth got along great. Everyday was joyful. He remembers Seth's first.

His first attempt to swim on his own.

His first song.

His first injury and how Poseidon healed him.

But he was aware that he had driven Seth away. For all the sea king knew, that would probably be the last time he saw his son. And the last expression he saw on his face was sadness.

"What have I done?" mourned Poseidon, "What have I done?" He said a silent prayer, hoping that his son and friends were okay wherever they were.
