Seth struggled from Addison's grasp but lack the strength to do so. His pink dress shirt became his regular purple shirt he wore as a merman again. "Let me go!" the merman shouted.
Addison merely rolled his eyes before Seth continued, "You tricked me! You never wanted to give me a chance with Caleb!"
"Silence!" Addison snapped, "If you want to get out of this alive, you'll do exactly as I say! After all, I have much bigger fish to fry!" He continued to swim with his hostage, wrapped in his tentacles.
"ADDISON, STOP!" a voice boomed.
Poseidon arrived with fury in his eyes as Josh gave a glare of his own.
"My, my brother," Addison said feigning his joy, "Great to see you again. After all this time too."
"Let. Him. Go," Poseidon threatened, his trident glowing and ready to blast.
Addison lost his facade of joy and growled, "Not a chance, he's mine now!" The sea warlock flung Seth away into the clutches of Jonathan and Terry. "We had a deal~" Addison explained before showing the golden contract.
"No..." the sea king murmured before staring at his son, who's face was guilty.
"Dad, I'm sorry!" Seth said with tears along his face, full of regret, "I-I-I didn't mean to."
Poseidon fired his trident at his brother, who held up the contract in defense. The blast knocked the sea warlock back into an underwater cliff, but the contract wasn't damaged and left a laughing Addison.
"You see, not even you can break it!" Addison smugly added before swimming around his brother with glee, "The contract is legal, binding, unbreakable. Of course, I was always the one with an eye for a bargain." Addison snapped his fingers and the contract became a small glowing tornado that encompassed Seth.
Being sucked into it, Seth felt his bones begin to decay, skin turn into wrinkles, and become smaller slowly. Addison was going to turn him into one of his polyp.
Poseidon watched in fear as his son become one of Addison's 'flowers.' "The son of the great sea king would be quite the commodity, don't you think brother?" Addison egged.
"But I would be willing to make an exchange... for someone else..." Addison inquired as Poseidon listened and put two and two together.
Up on the surface, the weather had taken a nasty turn. They planned to head back to shore immediately, but someone else on the boat had other plans.
Caleb took of his ivory tuxedo jacket, bow tie and black loafers before putting some boots and He hurried over to the lifeboat, only for Alex to grab him.
"Alex, let me go!" the prince cried.
"Caleb I-" Alex started.
"Save it! I'm lost him once, I'm not going to lose him again!" the prince reaffirmed.
"Caleb I just-" Alex began again before getting cut off.
"Seth's more than a merman... he... gets me. He understands my love for the ocean. So if you're going to stop me, forget it!" Caleb said, putting his foot down.
"... Are you done?" Alex said.
"Yes."
"Good. Now as I was saying, good luck," his friend said, much to Caleb's surprise.
Caleb's surprise turn to a stern look on his face before getting in the rowboat and paddled away.
Voice or no voice, human or merman, Caleb loved Seth and he refused to lose him again. Not after all this time.
"It's quite simple," Addison explained, "Sign the scroll he goes free, or else he comes with me. So what would you rather be, a king or a father?"
Poseidon saw Seth's transformation was almost complete. "Well, what's it going be?" Addison said, losing his patience. "Five, four, three, two-"
And with a heavy heart, Poseidon signed his name with the power of his trident, replacing Seth's signature with his.
"And thank you brother," Addison smirked with evil.
The tornado lost its hold on Seth reverting him back to merman...
but the tornado flew over to Poseidon who began to shrink himself.
"No! NO!" Seth cried as Addison and his two eels laughed at the action before them.
The glow was bright and above the surface, catching Caleb's attention as he held the harpoon, ready to strike.
The tornado eventually ended in a quick manner rather than Seth's slow process. The sea king was nothing more than a polyp as the trident fell out of his grasp.
"Your Majesty..." Josh noted.
"Dad?" Seth swam over to his dad's shrunken form. A sorrow feeling can over him. His dad had risked his life to save his. "Dad.. No..."
Addison, on the other hand, was giddy. "At last!" the sea warlock said picking up the crown before wrapping his tentacles around the trident, which glowed with its new user. "It's mine! It's all mine!"
"You... you monster!" Seth, fueled by anger, began to make a stream of water magic and launched it at Addison, who merely shot his own black magic tendrils around the merman before hurling his victim into a rock. Seth struggled to rise before he felt tentacles crawl upon him.
"Don't fool with me, little brat!" Addison threaten with the trident pointed directly at the merman, "Contract or no contract, I'll blast y-" Addison let out scream of pain as something cut his right arm.
Up above them was Caleb, giving a glare to Addison and attempting to defend the one he loves. Seth cried out, "Caleb! Look out!"
"After him!" Addison commanded his two eel minions who immediately began to swim after the prince. Caleb made to get some air before being yanked backed into the water. Terry and Jonathan had him in their grasps and began to drown the prince.
"Come on!" Josh called as he, Haven, and Breanna made their own counteract to free Caleb. Breanna went first, using echolocation to stun the eels before Josh pinched Terry's tail and Haven tail-slapped Jonathan. The attacks cause a bit of daze allowing Caleb to be free and head towards the surface again.
Addison aimed the trident at the retreating human, "Say goodbye to your precious prince!"
Seth with one arm free, shot a blast of water that changed Addison's aim towards his two eels. Said eels were vaporized causing Addison to become mortified, "My boys!" This allowed Seth to be free and head towards Caleb, intent on getting him out of here.
The sea warlock noticed the merman swimming away after his prince and soon his mourning turned to rage. He began to ink the area as he began one of his greatest spells to come.
Above sea, the storm had taken a turn for the worse.
Caleb was able to reach his rowboat before seeing Seth rise out. Instead of re-entering the boat, Caleb swam over to Seth.
Seth pleaded as Caleb got closer, "Caleb, you've got to get out of here!"
"No," Caleb stubbornly said, "I'm not leaving! Not again!"
Seth shook his head before continuing, "You don't understand! Addison is coming for me!"
"And you don't understand!" Caleb shot back, "I don't care if you are human or merman! I love you!" The prince reached his love, gripping his shoulders as he stayed afloat, "It drove me crazy for a week just to find out who was singing to me. And now that I know who it is, I can't imagine having that one person not in my life anymore. I would rather die than lose you again."
Seth couldn't help but weep a bit. Caleb loved him. Actually loved him. Regardless of his fins, his crush loved him back. "I love you too," the merman said before the water beneath them began to bubble. Both princes held each other before holding onto a yellow spike that arose from the ocean. They both look down before realizing that the yellow spike is a crown and Addison as grown to an enormous size, his laugh booming as he appeared.
Seth shouted, "Jump!" The princes leapt off and dove into the water. Seth clung to Caleb as they both watched Addison use the power of the trident for his personal gain. "You pitiful insignificant fools!" The sea warlock said before bringing down one of his tentacles onto the couple. Caleb said, "Look out!" and both princes dove underwater, avoiding the massive appendage onto them.
"Now I'm the ruler of all the oceans! The waves obey my every whim!" Addison conjured another storm, more dangerous as he channeled the power of trident into it. Thunder was heard, lightning made various appearances, rain hit the ocean hard, and the waves became more violent, which caused the two princes to part.
"The sea and all its spoils, bow to my power!" Addison used the trident to make a whirlpool which became strong enough to rise shipwrecks one by one. Seth luckily grabbed a nearby rock, so he could stop spinning around. He looked in horror as he saw Caleb struggling to stay afloat with the thrashing waves, "Caleb!"
The brunette was sent under but, luckily for him he caught a rope from a ship with a broken mast. Caleb was able to climb onboard and get on deck. A bit dizzy, the human was able to righten himself before seeing the helm. With his knowledge of ships, Caleb headed towards the wheel, in hope to drive it.
Seth clung to his rock for dear life. He became horrified as Addison noticed him. The sea warlock aimed the trident and blasted it but Seth leapt off into the center of the whirlpool, which had dry ground. The merman regained consciousness quickly as Addison aimed his dad's sacred weapon once again. Seth evaded three shots of the weapon, even trying to fight back with a blast of Atlantean water magic. But due to his exhaustion, the blast was weak and merely bounced off his uncle skin.
"So much for true love!" Addison shouted as he planned to strike down his nephew once in for all. Seth looked in fear as he was about to vaporized.
Caleb, on the other hand, had successfully commandeer the ship and steered it towards Addison, who was too busy intent on killing the merman. With a spin of his wheel, Caleb had the broken mast as a makeshift spear and impaled the sea warlock. Addison was rammed through his chest before letting out an ear splitting roar while grabbing the ship in his tentacles. Caleb managed to jump off and swim away, using the last of his strength to do so.
Caleb made it to shore and fell, exhausted from the whole near death experience he just endured before being glad he was able to save Seth from Addison's clutches.
