In the three years since the death of The Fallen Prime, the war between Autobots and Decepticons gets closer to ending. And with Harold Attinger and his Cemetery Wind organization dismantled, along with Sentinel Prime still an Autobot, Cuervosplicer is getting closer to finishing his duty as Guardian of the Allspark Cube. Rated T for the usual. Dylan Gould is already dead.

7. Cuervosplicer vs Shockwave

Chapter 7: Optimus Prime and Cuervosplicer vs. Shockwave.

(Author's notes: This is it, ladies and gentlemen. Also, I tried to post this chapter and the sixth chapter with the actual names, but fanfiction dot net has limited space for the titles of fanfiction chapters for some reason.

Anyway, chapter 7. And prepare for when Cuervosplicer has to fight Shockwave.)

In the cryo chamber, Optimus and Cuervosplicer are slowly getting back up from the beating they received from Megatron.

In particular, Cuervosplicer had to use several Energon Rechargers to fix himself up.

Cuervosplicer remarks in pain, "I didn't know Megatron hits that hard. That actually hurt a LOT. I can't remember the last time I felt something as painful as that."

Optimus gets up completely and helps Cuervosplicer up before noticing Shockwave's temporarily inert form.

Optimus contacts Ratchet and says, "Ratchet! Megatron's plan – it's Shockwave, coming out of cryostasis!"

Ratchet asks, "Shockwave? The Decepticon scientist and assassin?"

Cuervosplicer answers, "The very same, Ratchet."

Optimus adds before asking, "He's as tough as they come. How did he get here?"

Cuervosplicer answered, "He crash-landed on Earth thousands of years ago and went into stasis lock. He was eventually discovered by Russians and this Decepticon base was once a Russian nuclear facility built to keep Shockwave cryogenically frozen in order to prevent him from reactivating and causing irreparable harm."

Ratchet then says, "I have a fix on your locations, Optimus and Cuervosplicer. I'm sending in large amounts of backup now."

Optimus interjects, "Ratchet, wait. We can't do much against Shockwave's armor if he breaks free. Is there a way we can stop the thawing process?"

Ratchet replies, "Scanning... Yes. There is an emergency freezing procedure that should keep Shockwave and his Driller pet frozen. At least, until reinforcements arrive. I'm activating it now."

Cuervosplicer decided to help out as he turned on his Cryokinetic powers and threw several Ice Grenades at Shockwave while firing multiple Freeze Rockets at the Driller with his Energon clones. They also created mists of cryo vapors around Shockwave and the Driller while shooting electric currents at the mists of cryo vapors to continue freezing the two Decepticons. The other clones decided to fire their Freeze Rays at the two Decepticons at a controlled form of full power to prevent their powers and circuits from overloading.

Meanwhile, the emergency freezing tanks came online as Ratchet announces, "Auxiliary tanks 1 and 2 activated."

As two more freezing tanks come online, Optimus remarks, "Tanks 3 and 4 online. Pleasant dreams, Shockwave."

Suddenly, the Driller awakens from its slumber despite Cuervosplicer's efforts and despite the efforts of his Energon clones.

Optimus asks his oldest friend, "Ratchet, are you reading this?"

Ratchet replies, "Power levels are spiking! Optimus, Cuervosplicer, get out of there!"

Optimus replies back, "No. Shockwave must not be freed."

Cuervosplicer points out, "Optimus, I think we can recharge our weapons with that Energon!"

Optimus and Cuervosplicer start shooting at the center of the Driller and the first of its tentacles, recharging their weapons with the Energon.

Then the Driller destroys the failsafe cryo tanks.

Despite Cuervosplicer's efforts, the Driller's attack on the cryo tanks was irreversible.

Optimus exclaims, "It's destroying the failsafe backup! It's trying to protect Shockwave!"

Suddenly, the Driller prepares to lash out, causing Ratchet to exclaim, "Optimus, Cuervosplicer, JUMP!"

Optimus and Cuervosplicer comply and jump out of the tentacles' way before they could get whacked in pretty much everywhere.

After another minute of shooting at the tentacle, Optimus' Rocket Launcher and Cuervosplicer's Death Machine Gun are recharged, and so the two Autobots unload their first barrage of missiles and gunfire at the tentacle.

After another minute, the tentacle goes into the cryo vapor to cool off the heat from the bullets and rockets.

Just then, Shockwave's optic glows completely red as he starts to move and break ice off of his armor.

Cuervosplicer contacts Ratchet and says, "Ratchet, bad news! We're too late! Shockwave is reactivated! This is gonna be a tough fight to remember!"

Ratchet replies, "You and Optimus are gonna need an edge if he's as strong as you make him out to be."

Cuervosplicer replies back as Shockwave aims his AstroMag cannon, "We're open to suggestions, Ratchet."

As Cuervosplicer and Optimus dodge Shockwave's pot shots, Ratchet continues, "Scanning... Okay, there's a three cylinder-shaped power core on Shockwave's back that is linked to his primary weapon. See if you can target that."

Optimus replies, "He's still slow from being on ice for so long. If we can move fast enough, we can flank him."

Shockwave drops down and charges at Optimus and Cuervosplicer, only for the two Autobots to move out of the way fast enough.

As Shockwave gets his bearings back, Optimus and Cuervosplicer shoot at the three cylinder-shaped generators on Shockwave's back in unison.

Shockwave turns around as Optimus calls out, "Ratchet, I think its working! Shockwave's weak spot is on his back!"

As the cycle of dodging Shockwave's attacks and shooting at his back continues, Shockwave decides that enough is enough as he grabs Optimus and prepares to stab him through his neck cables.

Optimus grabs Shockwave's arm blade and struggles against Shockwave's grip while remarking, "He's as strong as he looks!"

Eventually, Optimus manages to make Shockwave miss and capitalizes by shooting his back some more.

Shockwave growls as he says his first words in thousands of years, "As the humans say, '"I'm done screwing around."' Wait until I unleash my pet upon you both."

Cuervosplicer punches Shockwave in the face as hard as he can muster, thankful that his super strength and his nigh invulnerability has returned to full power.

Shockwave staggers back as he snarls in anger, something that was unnatural for the only Decepticon to be one hundred percent emotionless.

Shockwave charges Cuervosplicer again, only to miss yet again as Cuervosplicer slashes through the generators on Shockwave's back with his Energon Swords.

Cuervosplicer manages to significantly damage the generators and activate his wings to take flight before Shockwave can even turn around.

Shockwave walks towards his Driller and starts shooting the ice binding the other tentacles as Optimus asks, "Leaving so soon? We're just getting started!"

Shockwave encases himself in the seat of his pet as Cuervosplicer contacts Ratchet and exclaims, "Ratchet! We've got a bigger problem than before! Shockwave has fully activated the Driller beast! This is gonna be a tougher fight then before!"

Optimus and Cuervosplicer dodge the tentacles as they open fire.

On the first tentacle, Optimus sawed into it with his chainsaw, and on the second tentacle, Optimus launched a large onslaught of rockets while Cuervosplicer launches a barrage of bullets from his two Death Machine Guns.

After about ten minutes, Optimus and Cuervosplicer took out all four of the Driller's tentacles, using the Energon to recharge their weapons and circuits, while contending with Shockwave occasionally shooting them, and while contending with hatchlings that Cuervosplicer continues to teleport straight to Autobot Headquarters.

When the time came to shoot at the head of the Driller, the two Autobots had to contend with more and more hatchlings set upon them.

While Cuervosplicer tamed the hatchlings, fed them and teleported them to Autobot Headquarters in the waiting arms of his crew, Optimus constantly fired rockets into the head of the Driller.

After another minute of rockets being fired at the Driller, the beast envelops Shockwave in its tentacles.

Optimus remarks crossly, "Now – stay down!"

Ratchet then contacts the twosome as he announces, "Optimus! Cuervosplicer! Reinforcements have arrived!"

Optimus and Cuervosplicer reply in unison, "Perfect timing!" "Oh yeah!"

The top layer of ice in the ceiling collapses and shatters as over sixty groups of Aerialbot Scouts, Aerialbot Warriors, Autobot Sky Fighters, Autobot Soldiers, Autobot Captains, Autobot Melee Warriors, Autobot Ranged Warriors, Autobot Sergeants, Autotroopers, Autobot Brutes, Autobot Dreadwing drones, Autobot Payload drones, Autobot Cloakers, Combatobot Scouts, Combatobot Snipers, Combatobot Warriors, Constructobot Scouts, Constructobot Warriors, Autobot Seeker Scouts, Autobot Seeker Snipers, Autobot Seeker Warriors, Omnibot Scouts, Omnibot Warriors, Autobot Commanders (Decepticon Sergeants reprogrammed into Autobots,) Autobot Lieutenants (Decepticon Melee Warriors reprogrammed into Autobots,) Autobot Majors (Decepticon Captains reprogrammed into Autobots,) Autobot Sub-Lieutenants (Light Unit Decepticlones,) and so forth descending and beginning to open fire on the Driller.

Optimus states, "Well met, Autobots! Get him in stasis lock quickly! This whole room is thawing!"

The whole room thaws out all of the ice as the Driller retreats, leaving Shockwave to fight an army of Autobots, including Cuervosplicer's various clones.

Despite light casualties, the various types of Autobot troops manage to distract Shockwave long enough for Optimus and Cuervosplicer to constantly shoot at his back.

After about five minutes, Optimus Prime's Jetwing Omega Combat Armor and Cuervosplicer's Corvuswing Ultra Combat Armor are recharged and reactivated as Optimus calls out, "Jetpack is online!" while Cuervosplicer calls out, "Time for the ultra big guns!"

Cuervosplicer and Optimus take flight and pummel Shockwave with their machine guns and – in Cuervosplicer's case – other kinds of multiple rapid-fire guns.

Shockwave staggers backward a bit as the Autobot troops continue their gunfire assault as well.

Shockwave aims his AstroMag cannon at Optimus, but Optimus and Cuervosplicer activate their respective rocket launchers as they declare in unison, "You're finished, Shockwave!" "You're finished, Shockwave!"

Optimus and Cuervosplicer fire their rocket launchers and Shockwave looks shocked and horrified, thinking that this was the end of him.

But then, the Driller returns, shields Shockwave from the rockets and flees with Shockwave safe and sound.

Cuervosplicer angrily shouts, "YOU F****** COWARD! THIS ISN'T OVER! YOU HEAR ME?! THIS ISN'T OVER! NOT BY A LONG SHOT!"

Optimus and Cuervosplicer land and regroup with the Autobot troops as Ratchet asks over the commlink, "Optimus, Cuervosplicer, what's happened? Are you two okay?"

Optimus replies, "We're fine, Ratchet." And Cuervosplicer adds, "As for what's happened, the Driller returned and stopped us from destroying Shockwave for good. They both fled like cowards, and for the record, I don't care if Shockwave is too emotionless to be considered a coward."

Optimus continues, "Nevertheless, the battle is won. We have so many new Autobots. We have saved our MechTech weaponry. We have hatchlings to raise into Cybertron's future. Our primary Aerialbots are still alive. Warpath is also among the Autobots here that are still alive, which I have Cuervosplicer to thank for. But Megatron remains at large. We will not rest until he and all other Decepticons are found and brought to justice. Even if it means I have to abandon my morals and kill him myself."

(Meanwhile, in Namibia, Africa...)

Starscream lands and switches to robot mode as the remaining Decepticons of the Tyran cluster gather around Megatron as the Decepticon leader welcomes Shockwave back into their fold.

Megatron states, "Welcome, Shockwave. It is good to see you reactivated, and your timing is perfect."

Shockwave asks, "What do you wish for me to do first, my liege?"

As Soundwave punches up a hologram, Megatron replies, "Travel to this abandoned nuclear facility in Chernobyl and retrieve this item."

Shockwave sees for himself that the items is part of an engine of the lost Autobot ship known as the Ark.

Megatron continues, "Optimus and Cuervosplicer may believe they have struck a fatal blow to my plans, but nothing could be further from the truth. Operation: Pillar cannot be stopped. Earth and its resources will soon be mine, and Cybertron shall be born anew!"

Cuervosplicer says to Cornejaclaw, "From now on, you are Backsplitter."

Cuervosplicer says to Havranblade, "From now on, you are Aftercircuit."

Cuervosplicer says to Dark Corvus, "From now on, you are Slamfire."

Cuervosplicer says to Wingo Starr, "From now on, you are Twinwhip."

Cuervosplicer says to Adlerwheel, "From now on, you are Neutroshift."

Cuervosplicer says to Talonfeather, "From now on, you are Afterglider."

Cuervosplicer says to Mega-Inkblot, "From now on, you are Brushstream."

Cuervosplicer says to Corvobar, "From now on, you are Brushwave."

Cuervosplicer says to Treadmortar, "From now on, you are Frostcrack."

Cuervosplicer says to Spinsting, "From now on, you are Divebeast."

Cuervosplicer says to Astrogunner, "From now on, you are Phaseways."

Cuervosplicer says to Knoutlash, "From now on, you are Tigafire."

Cuervosplicer says to Tug Gut, "From now on, you are Backsteel."

Cuervosplicer says to Start Wheel, "From now on, you are Junkrunner."
