Not much is known about the elusive Night Fury. For something called the "unholy offspring of lightning and death itself," there isn't really a lot of lightning. Plenty of death, though. Then again, that's probably just because nobody's ever seen it. Nobody knows the truth about Hiccup, either. A few shocking things are about to be revealed, not all of them harmless...

Sometime after the near-success of his plan to pretend the dragons couldn't be trusted, Mildew makes another attempt to turn the Vikings against them. When the Riders are forced to choose between their families or their dragons, Hiccup makes a desperate prayer to the gods for help in making the village see the truth.
