[Shrine of the Elements, Axis Mundi Academy]
A terrible battle had occurred, scars and bodies littered the halls of the once beautiful temple. Within the central chamber was where the battle was at its worst. Thirteen people lie within the chamber, with one of them at an altar and the other twelve lying on the floor, fallen in battle with their armor and weapons broken.
On the altar lies a large, dimly-lit orb, surrounded by twelve other orbs, each emitting different elemental energies that are going towards the larger orb. The person, bearing silver hair and white armor, stands in front of the altar chants a prayer that appears to cause the larger orb to slowly glow brighter.
"Please, Lux! You must stop this!" The person turned around towards his fallen foes to find one of them getting up. It was a young blonde woman wearing white and gold armor, carrying an ornate, albeit broken shield.
"And why should I, Phosia?" the man said to the weakened maiden. "What I am trying to do, is to save all of reality!"
"By bringing that monster back?!" Phosia retorted. "Do you not remember what happened the last time he appeared?!"
Lux turned back to the altar, looking down at the orb. "How could I? The world he had created was beautiful! What he did was reshape the Omniverse to how it could… no, to how it should be!" He proclaimed.
Phosia slowly approached the altar, clearly fatally injured from battle. "Please… don't do this." she begged, tears starting to fall from her eyes.
"Besides, even if I wanted to stop it, it's too late. He returns." Lux said, with a small tear coming out of his eye. "Now…"
Lux raised his hands and began to say a prayer.
"De profundis abyssi, nomen tuum invocavi. Redde ad nos de tenebris, ut omnes mundos tuo candore benedicas. Duodecimo primordiali renascetur lux vestra! Exurge Domine de Lumine! Surge, o Galeem gloriose!"
The central orb began to glow brightly until it shines so bright that it envelopes the whole room. The light then spreads outside the shrine and onto the rest of the academy, consuming each of the twelve districts until…
Lux opens his eyes to find himself in a desolate wasteland. He got up from the ground and decided to take a look at his surroundings.
What he saw were only rocks and dust for miles, until he saw something that shocked him.
He saw a giant, circular structure in the distance, all in ruin as if it has fallen from the sky. He could even see twelve sections of the top half of the structure from the distance, or at least, what is left of them.
"The academy." Lux said in shock. "It's… gone."
Lux could only look in sorrow, mourning the fate of the academy he called home. However, he then noticed a bright light hovering above the academy ruins. He looked up and saw… him.
(OST: Galeem Ambiance)
A large orb of bright light surrounded by four pairs of white wings that shift colors. The being looked down towards Lux with curiosity.
"Are you the one who has returned me to life?" The being asked in a booming, yet soothing voice. Lux kneeled towards the being, piquing the being's curiosity more.
"I am, Lord Galeem." Lux answered. "My name is-"
"I know who you are, Lux." Galeem interrupted Lux before continuing. "State you reasons for my rebirth."
Lux got up from the ground and told him of his reasons "Great Galeem, I wish simply to not only restore the world you have created before but to improve it as well. The Omniverse is in chaos and you alone have brought order to the lost worlds." Lux kneeled before Galeem again. "I beseech you, Glorious Galeem. Unite all worlds into one, so that I may guide it under your name. Conflict will be inevitable, but in time, everyone will see the same path I do."
Galeem then teleported closer to Lux, shrinking down into a somewhat humanoid form, A man composed of pure light, with the wings serving as makeshift clothing.
"Hmm, you have quite the nerve to not only criticize my World of Light but to also ask me to give you a world to rule over." Galeem said. "However, I am willing to grant your desire, provided that you hold true to your devotion."
"Of course, my lord." Lux said as he got up. He then pointed towards the horizon behind Galeem. "I believe what you see there is proof of my loyalty to you."
Galeem turned towards where Lux was pointing and saw the ruins of the Axis Mundi Academy in the distance.
"The Axis Mundi…" Galeem said to himself in disbelief. Lux walked towards Galeem's side to gaze upon the ruins.
"It was once my home." He said, mournfully. "It was the only home I ever knew."
"...so what of the current Knights?" Galeem asked. "They are…?"
"Dead." Lux Answered. "They could not see what the Omniverse could become and tried to stop me." Lux's hand clenched, remembering Phosia's face in her final moments.
"I see." Galeem replied, ignoring Lux's emotional conflict. "And the Elements?"
Lux looked at Galeem in confusion. "I… I don't know what happened to them." he replied to Galeem. "When you came back, I was caught in the enveloping light and woke up here."
Galeem sighed. "No matter. The elements would most likely scour the Omniverse to look for new knights." Galeem said. "However…"
Galeem envelopes himself in light and teleported into the sky, transforming back into his seraphic form. "The Elements' efforts will prove fruitless." Galeem proclaimed. "Part of their power now resides within me. And even if they have found worthy candidates, they will ultimately serve my will."
"My lord?" Lux asked before Galeem turned towards him. "You have proven your devotion in a way that not even I could have imagined. You shall become my vassal. The emperor of the new world I will create." Galeem said to Lux. "You will rule my new world under my name, however you see fit."
Lux, once again, kneeled before the lord of light. "Thank you, your luminance." he said "I have a few ideas in mind on how to establish the new world. With your approval, of course."
"Very well." Galeem proclaimed, as he began to glow more brightly than usual. "Now… Let the old worlds perish, and be reborn… AS ONE!"
Galeem suddenly burst into light, enveloping the wasteland and Lux. However, unbeknownst to either of them, twelve uniquely colored lights shot up from the ruined academy and spread out into twelve different directions before Galeem's light consumed everything.
