Chapter 5.
Bill's town.
(Scott POV)
It took us at least a day to make it there. We found a new place to course those 2 were together talking. I just kept looking out making sure that there wasn't any infected around. That night.
Then we headed the next morning. Towards the highway. at least we could see all round us in case any infected was by. We kept walking til we could see Lincoln'c distant water Tower. Then I saw some wood land nearby.
"Now there we go. Yeah, it'll be faster go through here," I said jumping into it.
Then Chloe and Ellie came down.
"Man," Ellie said.
"What?" I said.
"Nothing. It's just I've never seen anything like this, That's all," Ellie said.
"You meant the woods?" Chloe said.
"Yeah, Never walked through the woods. It's kinda cool," Ellie said.
Then we just continued walking.
"Why don't you just take me back to Marlene?" Ellie said.
"If she was up to the task why'd she drop you on us?" I said.
"Well, maybe shes better now," Ellie said.
"Your friends chances of survival weren't too high to begin with," I said.
"She's a lot tougher than you think," Ellie said.
"That doesn't matter," Chloe said.
"No doubt. That I know that I could get us back into the city in one piece.," I said.
Then a rabbit runs by.
"Whoa, hey buddy," Ellie said.
Then we keep going and arrived at the town's far gate. but it was locked up tight.
"Well, Shit," I said.
"Should we climb it," Ellie said.
"No, wire on top of it. We gotta find a way to go around," Chloe said.
"Whoa, look Fireflies. I mean real Fireflies," Ellie said.
"Yeah, We see that," Chloe said.
Then I went ahead and had to bridge 2 gaps with a plank. Then found a weapon which could one hit those thing. Or anyone. Then Chloe and Ellie catched up.
"Here we go," I said.
Then we make it over and saw off in the horizon is Smoke.
"That you, Bill," I said.
"Where do you usually meet him?" Ellie said.
"Different places," I said.
"You've never been here before have you?" Ellie said.
"I know this is where he lives. But no We ain't never been here personally," I said.
"And that smoke, you think, That's him?" Ellie said.
"Sure as hell better be," Chloe said.
"Well, let's go check it out," Ellie said
"Alright, come on, Down here. Watch your step. It's a good drop," I said.
Then heard a click or 2. So I went and found 2 clicker where we were and killed them then I opened the door and went into the building looking for stuff. As did Chloe. Then I heard Ellie making this blowing noise.
"Are you alright?" I said.
"I'm trying to learn how to whistle," Ellie said.
"You don't know how to whistle?" I said.
"Well, Does it sound like I know how to whistle," Ellie said.
Then we headed out and found a locked door. I pulled out a shiv I made and used it to open the door. And there were a good couple of things there so I grabbed everything there and then we came across another gate.
"Oh shit. It's jammed from the other side," I said.
"Here boost me up," Ellie said.
"No that's not such a good idea," I said.
"She's not going to get you up Dad," Chloe said.
"Alright. Chloe you first just in case," I said then boosted Chloe over. "Gimme your foot. Now just open it. Nothing else, Chloe will cover you," Then Boosted Ellie over.
"Sure thing," Ellie said.
"Careful," I said.
Then Chloe grabbed Ellie on the way down. Then she Opened the gate.
"Alright, Lets move," I said.
"So let's say we get a car from this buddy of yours. Then what?" Ellie said.
"Well, then we go find Stiles," I said.
"Marlene said he's your brother," Ellie said.
"More importantly he was a Firefly. He'd know where to take you," I said.
"We seriously doing that?" Chloe said.
"Chloe," I said.
"He left us, Dad. Right when we needed him. Remember what you said. We don't left family behind. He did," Chloe said.
"We still going there," I said.
"Fine. Doesn't mean I not going to fucking hit him when I see him," Chloe said walking off.
"Okay, What was that about?" Ellie said.
"Chloe hates him for leaving us," I said.
"What happened?" Ellie said.
"We had a fallout and then he just left. But he lives far from here which is why we need the car," I said.
Then we end up in the yard.
"Hey look Gnomes," Ellie said.
"Yeah, Those are gnomes," I said.
"Man I had an art book filled with these. I always thought they were super cute. Not fairies though. They creep me out," Ellie said.
"Alright then," I said.
They walk into an old pizzeria. There's an old arcade machine there.
"Oh, Look at that," I said.
"What?" Chloe said meet up with us. "You play this before?"
"Nah. But I had a friend that knew everything about this game. Apparently there's this character called Angel Knives who'd what was it. She'd punch a hole through your stomach before kicking your head off," Ellie said.
"Well, I was never a big fan of these arcade things," I said.
"I wish I could play it," Ellie said.
Then we went back into the main city and found an old sign sits on main street.
"Mandatory Evacuation." Evacuate to where?" Ellie said.
"Where you think? QZ. Some places got a head's up before the infection showed up. Most didn't," Chloe said.
"Man must be hard. Just leaving all your stuff behind like that," Ellie said.
"That's not the hard part," Chloe said before walking off.
They find a makeshift barbwire barricade blocking off a side street.
"That's Bill's handiwork," I said finding a note with a safe code.
"DAD! There's a safe," Chloe said running over.
"Here. Use that code," I said.
"On it," Chloe said.
"Anybody else live in this town?" Ellie said.
"Far as I know. It's just him," I said.
"Dad, Here," Chloe said coming back and passed some over to me from the safe. Then we moved over and found a RV and I got on it and found a Firefly Pendant.
"Fireflies were everywhere. Huh?" Ellie said.
"Yeah, They were. Hoping to restore the country to what it was," I said.
"Well with a vaccine maybe they will," Ellie said.
"Maybe. Or Not," I said.
"Why?" Ellie said.
"Doesn't matter," I said.
Then we went on and found a clicker come around the corner of the alley, But it stumbles into a bomb's tripwire.
"Fuck," I said.
"Whoa, Nelly, What the hell was that?" Ellie said.
"That would be one of Bill's trap," Chloe said.
"You friend a bit paranoid maybe?" Ellie said.
"Now that's putting it lightly," I said.
"What's the deal with this guy," Ellie said.
"Well, he helped us smuggle stuff into the city. He's. He knows how to find things," Chloe said.
"Well, let's just hope we don't blow up trying to find him," Ellie said.
"Just watch your step, You'll be fine," I said.
Then we find an infected corpse stuck full of arrows.
"Geez. Bill good with a bow," Ellie said.
"I reckon he is," I said.
Then we find a ladder and use it to climb onto a trailer. 2 Bows sat by a chair. Obviously a lookout spot.
"Hey, Look at the," I said grabbing one and Chloe grabbed the other.
"Let me use that. I'm a pretty good shot with that thing," Ellie said.
"How about we just leave this kind of thing to me and Chloe," I said.
"Well, we could all be armed. Cover each other," Ellie said.
"I don't think so," I said.
Then we use the plank and we go over and then use it to cross another building.
"Here, We can actually use this, It's all clear come on up," I said then Chloe and I crossed.
"Alright," Ellie said.
Then we find a clicker.
"Let's give this baby a whirl," I said.
Then Shot the bow and arrow Right into the clicker's head.
"Oh fuck," Chloe said.
"Now listen. Bill ain't exactly the most stable of individuals. SO when we get there, You let Chloe and I do the talkin'. You understand?" I said.
"I understand," Ellie said.
"We gotta be clear on this, He don't take too kindly to strangers," I said.
"Alright," Ellie said.
"Bill's a good guy. He just definitely needs some time warming up to you, that's all," Chloe said.
Then we climb down and Come across another tripwire bomb.
"See that wire? Stay underneath it okay? Just keep your head low and you'll be fine," I said.
"Alright," Ellie said as Chloe and I made it underneath it. Then Ellie. Next thing we hear banging on a door to our left.
"You hear that?" Ellie said.
"Yeah," I said going over to the door and opening it.
"Shit, you're gonna go in there?" Ellie said.
"I wanna see what we can find," I said.
"You're gonna find my body when I die from a fucking heart attack," Ellie said.
"Don't worry, We got this," Chloe said.
Then we headed up to the apartment upstairs. Which then just going in an infected came running out of the bathroom and I shot it fast with my bow and Arrow.
"Geez That thing scared the shit outta me," Ellie said.
"Well, while we're here, let's search the place," I said.
"Alright," Chloe said.
"I hate those fucking those doing that," Ellie said.
Then we had finished searching the apartment and we headed out down the stairs. "Come on, Let's get the hell outta here," I said.
"Okay," Ellie said.
Then we find another 2 tripwire bombs blocking a door.
"Shit, Have a go at this," I said.
"Dammit," Chloe said.
"Alright," Ellie said.
Then I grabbed a bottle nearby and threw it at the 2 bomb traps setting then off. Then Found a brick nearby.
"That's one way to do it," I said.
"Oh shit. Those things are kinda awesome," Ellie said.
"As long as they aren't used against us," Chloe said.
"Yeah see that, Get back," I said.
Then I threw the brick I got at the bomb blowing it up and found another Brick nearby.
"Come on just stay close. Chloe, Ellie come on just," I said opening a door and it sets off a weight trap, Stringing me by my leg.
"Fucking hell," I said.
"Dad," Chloe said.
"Scott," Ellie said.
"Got you," Chloe said as her and Ellie steadies me.
"What just happened?" Ellie said.
"Another fucking one of Bill's trap," I said.
"That fridge. It looks like that's the counterweight," Chloe said.
"Okay," Ellie said.
"I got the rope, Ellie keep an eye out," Chloe said starting to cutting it.
Then we hear infected starting to approaching.
"Scott," Ellie said.
"Dad, they're coming," Chloe said.
Then they start coming at me. I got my pistol killing the infected.
"Just get the rope," I said.
Then they finally cuts the counterweight dropping me down hard.
"Scott, Look out," Ellie said.
"Dad," Chloe said.
The one of the infected runners came at me. Trying to bite me. I managed to push it away a bit then a Fucking machete shows up and chops the head off.
"Get off your ass and on your feet," Bill said.
"What the fuck took you so long," I said.
Then he leads us out of the garage and more infected luck nearby and chase.
"Goddammit. Back, Get back," Bill said.
"Fuck," Ellie said.
"Which way.
"Alright, We can cut through here.
"I'm going," Ellie said.
"Where's that goddamn key?" Bill said.
"Guys behind us," Chloe said.
"Bill, Move it," I said.
Then we got into the building and closed the door which turned out to be a Laundromat.
"Don't slow down, This place ain't secure," Bill said.
Then we were fighting off some more infected and killed them.
"Alright, Come on, We're almost there, Follow me," Bill said.
There's more outside on our way.
"Shit," I said.
"Goddamn it," Chloe said.
"They're coming from all over. Come on they're getting through. Keep going. This way, through the truck. Alright," Bill said.
"Move, Ellie, Chloe, Move," I said.
"I'm going," Ellie said.
"Right behind you," Chloe said.
Then we take refuge in a bar.
"Man that was close," Thanks for the heroics and all," Ellie said. Going to take shake his hand.
"Ellie," Ellie said.
Then Bill Cuffs on her.
"Hey what are you doing, Chloe, Scott," Ellie said.
"Bill," I said.
"What the hell are you doing bill." Chloe said.
"Let me go," Ellie said.
Bill cuffs Ellie to a pipe and turns his gun on my.
"Turn around and get on your knees," Bill said.
"Just calm down a second," I said.
"Turn around and Get on your knees," Bill said.
"Alright," I said then he knees me.
"Don't test me," Bill said.
"Bill, get the fuck off Dad now," Chloe said.
"You got any bites?" Bill said.
"No," I said.
"Anything sprouting?" Bill said.
"No Goddammit, I'm clean," I said.
"I see so much as a twitch," Bill said.
Then Ellie got free and hit Bill with the pipe he chained her to.
"OW!" Bill said.
Then Chloe and I grabbed her.
"Stop," I said.
"Son of a bitch," Bill said.
"You fucking Done," I said.
"Am I done? You come into my house, Set off all my traps. You damn near break my shooting arm. Who the fuck is this punk and what's she doing here?" Bill said.
"I am none of your goddamn business and we're here because you owe Scott and Chloe some favors. And you can start by taking these off," Ellie said. While Chloe and I pulled her back.
"I owe Scott and Chloe some favors. Is this some kind of Joke?" Bill said.
"I'll cut to the chase. I need a car," I said.
"Well, It is a joke, Scott. Needs a car. Well if I had one that works Which I sure as hell don't what makes you think I'd give it to you? HUH? Yeah sure Scott, Chloe, Go ahead take my car. Take all my food too while you're at it," Bill said.
"But the looks of it, you could stand to lose some of that food," Ellie said.
"You listen to me you little shit," Bill said.
"NO! FUCK YOU! You handcuffed me," Ellie said and Chloe got to her before me.
"Stop," Chloe said.
"Whatever favors you think I owe ya it ain't worth that much," Bill said.
"Actually Bill they are," I said.
"Well, It don't matter cause I don't have a car that works," Bill said.
"But there are parts in this town," I said.
"Parts. There are parts in this town," Bill said.
"Meaning that you could fix one up," I said.
"Alright. If I'm gonna do this there's some gear I'm gonna need," Bill said.
"Alright," I said.
Then Bill gets out a map full of annotations and Margin scrawling.
"It's on the Other side of town. Now you help me go gather it and Maybe I can put something together that runs But after this I owe you nothing," Bill said.
"That's fine," I said as Bills put the cuff key on the table. "Couple days from now we'll probably be dead anyway,"
"Good, Follow me whole goddamn town's booby trapped. Best stay right on my ass," Bill said.
"Can't miss it," Ellie said making Chloe laugh. First time I've heard her laugh in a long time.
"Alright, Whatever supplies you may want or need I suggest you grab them," Bill said.
"Alright, Thanks, Chloe, Ellie take a look around and see if there's anything we can use," I said,
"Alright," Ellie said.
"Got it, Dad," Chloe said.
Then I head into the back room and Ellie does to.
"Man, He's got a fucking stick up his ass," Ellie said.
"Just stay out of his way," I said.
Then Ellie finds a chessboard on one of the tables.
"Hey, you know how to play this?" Ellie said.
"I always wanted to learn," Ellie said.
"Hey, Bobby Fischer. Don't touch anything on that board," Bill said.
"Bobby what?" Ellie said.
"Just let it go," Chloe said.
"Found everything you need?" Bill said.
"We're good. Alright, Ellie, Chloe. Come on," I said.
"Don't leave the door open," Bill said.
"Got it," I said.
"We have to cross to the other building UP the stairs. Let's move it," Bill said.
"Psh," Ellie said.
"Just stay with Chloe," I said.
"Can't believe you agreed to this bullshit, Bill. What you shoulda done was just left them back there," Bill said.
"You weren't kidding about him," Ellie said.
"Yeah, he's one of a kind. I'm gonna take a look around up here," I said.
"Nothing in there that I need. Go ahead, Take whatever you want," Bill said.
"Thanks," I said.
"So what kind of trouble are you in? Where the hell's Tess," Bill said.
"It's a job. Simple dropoff," Chloe said.
"What are you delivering? That little brat," Bill said.
"Haha, Fuck you," Ellie said.
"Y'know I hope you 2 know what you're doing," Bill said.
"Are you kidding me with this guy?" Ellie said.
"Where we going, Bill?" I said.
"My other safehouse. It's more of an armory," Bill said.
"Wait, I thought we were gonna fix up a car?" Ellie said.
"We? You know how to fix a," Bill said.
"Bill," I said.
"It's like I said. What I need is on the other side of town. Now that side I don't ever go to cause It's filled with infected. So we're gonna need more guns," Bill said.
Then we continue into a new building which turned out to be a cafe. An infected howls nearby.
"Shh, There's one inside," Chloe said.
"Oh. I've been meaning to take care of that. Relax, It's nothing. So you didn't answer my question about Tess. I mean I thought you 3 were inseparable," Bill said.
"She's busy." I said.
Bill went over to one of his traps and killed it. "Yeah, sure, Busy, Sounds to me like might be trouble in paradise," He said.
"Gross," Ellie said.
"Yeah, something like that," I said.
"Alright, Here we go," Bill said opening a door to the parking lot.
"So why don't you fix one of these cars?" Ellie said.
"Oh my god, you're a genius. I mean the whole time, Why on Earth hadn't I thought about fixing one of these cars?" Bill said.
"Okay, Don't be a dick," Ellie said.
"Their tires are rotted and their batteries are dead," Bill said.
"Are you done," Ellie said.
"Can't even begin to think what the inside of the engine blocks look like. Only ones making new car batteries are the military," Bill said.
Then Chloe found something and called me over signal form.
"What?" I said once next to her.
"Infected, 2 Clicker other 3 runners," Chloe said.
"Rifles. You take one on the right and I take the one on the left," I said.
"Got it, You 2 be ready for the runners," Chloe said.
"On 3," I said. "1,2,3," Then we shot and killed the clickers then the Runner came at us which tried to attack us which Chloe and I made short work on.
"Alright, You gotta check the barricades again. You neglect the simple shit and now you're paying for it. You know what that means... Taking all the supplies from the warehouse and lugging it to the east fence again. Then It'll Take you," Bill said.
"Okay, Well now he's talking to himself," Ellie said.
"When is that fucking new," Chloe said.
"Yeah, Bill," I said.
"Scott, This way," Bill said..
Then he lends us to a gate and in towards his safehouse which turns out to be a church.
"And up we go," Bill said.
"You picked a hell of a place to hole up didn't ya?" I said.
"You know, as bad as those things are, at least they're predictable. It's normal people that scare me. You of all people should understand that," Bill said.
"What does that mean?" Ellie said.
"Nothing," Chloe said.
"You sure that gate's gonna hold them," I said.
"Well, I locked it. They don't have a key," Bill said. Then we come to the back of the Church courtyard,
"So which way?" I said.
"We're here, It's in the cellar. Alright down here," Bill said.
"Grab anything when he's not looking," Chloe whispered to Ellie.
Then we enter the hideout.
"Well, here we are, You don't touch anything, Either of you," Bill said.
"Watch your tone with my daughter Bill," I said.
"Close the door and let's gear up," Bill said.
Then Chloe and Ellie went to the workbench But I stop Ellie.
"No," I said.
"What? I need a gun," Ellie said.
"No you don't," I said.
"Scott, I can handle myself," Ellie said.
"No," I said.
"Fine I'll just around for you 3 to get me killed," Ellie said.
"This goes on record as the worst fucking job you've ever taken," Bill said.
"It's up there," Chloe said.
"How the hell is Tess okay with this suicide mission?" Bill said.
"Her fucking Idea," Chloe said.
"Really, Well the broad's not as smart as I thought she was. But Fuck her, Seriously you gotta take that kid back to where ya found her," Bill said.
"I can't just take her back," I said.
"Then send her packing, let her find her own way. let me tell you a story. Once upon a time I had someone I cared about. A Partner. Somebody I had to look after. and in this world that sort of shit's good for one thing. Getting ya killed. So you know what I did? I wisened the fuck up. And I realised it's gotta be just me," Bill said.
"Bill, It aint like that," I said.
"Bullshit it is just like that," Bill said. Then saw something. "HEY! What did I say to you when we walked down the steps? What did I say,"
"OI WATCH MY FUCKING EARS!" I shouted at him.
"I'm just fixing Your fucking pile," Ellie said.
"Don't touch," Bill said.
"Fucking Fat cunt," Ellie said.
"Goddammit. You keep babysitting long enough eventually it's gonna blow up in your face," Bill said.
"Bill, Let's get the fuck on with it," I said.
Then Bill throws me a shotgun as well as Chloe.
"Here let's get on with it. Alright before we go any further. I got something I gotta shoe you," Bill said.
"Whatcha got," I said.
"New toy from the toy box. This is a nail bomb. You gotta be really careful. This thing blows it shreds anybody standing nearby," Bill said.
"Yeah, seen your handiwork," I said.
"Pretty good huh," Bill said.
"So we got Shotguns and Bombs what the hell are we doing with them?" Chloe said.
"Well, every few weeks this military Caravan rides through town. I assume they're out looking for supplies. I mean you'd be amazed at the shit they overlook. Anyway few months back, They were rolling through and they get overrun by this horde of infected. They were all over the truck. It plows right into the side of the high school, Still sitting there with the battery in it,"
"So we take that battery and put it in another car," I said.
"Bingo. I wanted to get it. But it seemed to dangerous with all the infected in that part of town. But Fuck it. Scott. Needs a car," Bill said.
"What if it's damaged?" Chloe said.
"Nah. Those trucks are like tanks. It's just sitting there," Bill said.
"Actually might work," I said then Chloe and I found a workbench and we got our weapons upgraded more then we started to move out.
"Kid. I swear to god if you took anything," Bill said.
"Hey man I don't need any of your shit. Trust me," Ellie said.
"Scott, you are keeping an eye on her, Right," Bill said.
"Like a hawk," I said.
Then we start upstairs and I knew both Ellie and Chloe got something from there. But wasn't going to say anything. Then we walked into an large church sanctuary.
"Wow," Ellie said.
"Nice place you got here," I said.
"Well, if you got anything to confess this'd be the place to do it," Bill said.
Then we have a look around.
"That's not the confessional booth, That's my room," Bill said.
"Alright not touching anything," I said. Then raid the room of the supplies there. Fuck him.
Then we come back into the big room and went over to the window exit. But all I could think of there was Hayden. I always did this every now and then. I wonder what she had. Our baby. Was it a boy or Girl. Even though now they would be near enough Ellie's age.
No I can't think about that. Now.
So I pull myself back together and go to the window exit and headed out.
"Alright time to sack up," Bill said.
"Ellie, Come on," Chloe said.
"Look there's the school," Bill said.
"Alright," I said.
"Ready," Bill said.
"Guess, we'll find out," I said.
Then We head for the graveyard area. There's a pile of infected bodies nearby.
"Oh, Man," Ellie said.
"Come on, you don't need to be looking at that," I said.
"I've seen worse," Ellie said.
"Let's get a move on," Bill said.
"Alright, Then," I said.
"Past this gate, it's all new territory to me," Bill said.
"I'm on it," I said.
"Hey, Hey, You guys hear that?" Ellie said.
"Keep quiet," Chloe said.
Then we move past some clickers to a courtyard taking them out to that gate.
"Shit, Locked," I said after trying to open it.
"Hold up. I got a key for that gate. I suggest we move quietly," Bill said.
Then we enter a residential neighbourhood alley.
"Runners," Ellie said.
Then we took them out quietly.
"You weren't kidding about this place were ya?" Chloe said.
"If you guys would give me a gun I could help you kill some of these fuckers," Ellie said.
"Shut up. Just shut up," Bill said.
"This way," I said. Trying to get through a garage door but it was tied on the other side. "Shit. It's tied,"
"What about going through there," Ellie said.
"What the doggy door," Bill said.
"Be very careful," I said after get it clear and Knew only Ellie could go through.
"Of course," Ellie said.
"Dad maybe we should give her a gun," Chloe said.
"Okay, Chlo," I said.
Then Ellie gets it and opens it.
"There's more of those clicker things inside of the house," Ellie said.
"Oh, shit," Bill said.
"They ain't seen us yet, just stay down," I said.
"Careful," Ellie said.
Then we found 2 clickers outside and I use cocktails to kill them drawing the other out and them hit them with Cocktails also.
"Alright, Come on. Let's get up," Bill said then we came out of the house. "On the RV and over/ We should be clear,"
Then we cross a plank to a treehouse.
"Who the hell left this here?" You got friends in town," Ellie said.
"No although I have some Idea who mighta come through here. School's on the other side of this house. Let's get inside," Bill said.
"Come on," I said. "We're good.
"For now. Goddamn those thing. Nobody's bitten right," Bill said.
"Nope I'm good," Ellie said.
"We're all fine," I said.
"Let's just keep going," Chloe said.
They we enter the house to explore and Chloe, Ellie and I head upstairs looking for things.
"Hey, You got a second?" Ellie said. Coming in as Chloe was in the other room
"Yeah," I said.
"I just want to say. I'm sorry, About Tess, That's it. I won't bring it up again," Ellie said.
"Ellie, You don't need to worry about me. We should go check on Bill," I said.
"Okay," Ellie said.
"Hey Scott," Bill said.
"Yeah," I said. As we got the the Garage where he was/
"Gimme a hand with this," Bill said.
Then we raise the garage door and come to the school.
"What'd I tell ya, There's that truck, Sticking outta the school right there. Come on. There's a bunch of them up there. So try not to make a sound," Bill said.
We make it through the mass of Infected get them all silently.
"Well that was easier than I thought it'd be. They must be holed up somewhere else," Bill said.
"Well, let's not test our luck. How do we get inside," I said.
"Someone left a ladder in the bus," Chloe said.
"Boost me up there," Ellie said.
Then I boost her up and she put the ladder down.
"We're okay, we just need to get to the hood of the truck. Shit. You hear that? They're coming. Move it kid, Alright we're gonna get in quick, Get the battery and get the hell outta here," Bill said.

Then Chloe got it open and in then Ellie, Bill then Me. But get grabbed by a clicker.
"DAD!" Chloe said.
"Scott," Ellie said.
"Shit," I said.
Then Bill throws me in and shots the hell out of the clicker.
"That's not going to hold," Ellie said.
"Bill, Make it fast," I said. Getting up then Grabbed something to keep the door barricade the main door.
"Tell me your done," I said.
"It's empty," Bill said.
"What?" Chloe said.
"It's fucking empty," Bill said.
"Oi," Ellie said.
"We got to move," Chloe said.
"Bill where to," I said. "Where!"
"Anywhere but here," Bill said.
"Let's haul ass," I said.
Then we scrambles into the High school escaping the horde.
"Everyone on me. I get us out," I said.
"Be my guest," Bill said.
They we made it through passed the lab.
"There's a way through. We gotta make it past these guys," Bill said.
Chloe, Bill and I got rid of the 3 infected there then went to the gym door.
"Help me with this," I said. Then we got through.
"Dad. More of them incoming," Chloe said.
"Barricade the doors," Bill said.
Then we get in and block it off.
"This ain't gonna hold them for long," Bill said.
Then we heard a weird noise.
"That doesn't sound good," Chloe said.
Then the door broken and a large grotesque infected fat piece of shit came in.
"What the fuck is that?" Ellie said.
"Fucking Bloater," I said.
"What," Ellie said.
"Ellie, Behind me," Chloe said as I got more rifle shooting it down with most of the ammo I had.
Then we finally get that fat fucking armoured bastard down. Then Get got the hell out of the school and then we found a ladder near a fence and sounds of more infected comes. So Chloe, Ellie, Bill and I got over and I got the ladder knocked down and into the house we were in that yard.
Then shut the door.
"That worked well," Ellie said.
Then Bill and I give her a look. Then Chloe. "We'll going check this side of the house," She said taking Ellie with her.
"Bill," I said.
"Somebody had the same idea. They stole my shit," Bill said.
"What was plan B?" I said.
"You oughta be thankful you're still drawing breath. That was plan ABC all the way to fucking Z. And Furthermore, Tell Tess that she can take," Bill said.
"Don't fucking Bring Tess into this," I said cutting him out.
Then we found someone who hanged himself.
"Jesus, What? Do you know this guy or something," I said.
"Frank," Bill said.
"Who the hell's that?" I said.
"He was my partner. He's the only idiot that would wear a shirt like that. He's got bites here," Bill said.
"I reckon he didn't want to turn so he. Well," I said.
"Yeah. Guess not. Well fuck him," Bill said.
Then we heard a car trying to start and we rush into the garage and Found Chloe and Ellie next to a Jeep that Stiles used to drive.
"Look what we found. It's got some juice in it," Ellie said.
"That's my battery. That fucking asshole, Get out," Bill said.
"Okay Geez," Ellie said.
Then Bill get in and tries to switch it on.
"Battery's drained but the cells are alive," Bill said.
"So we just have to push it, Get it started and the alternator will recharge the battery," I said.
"Yeah," Bill said.
"What're you thinking?" Ellie said.
"You and Chloe handle the inside and we push," I said.
"Dad, what if there are infected around. I could cover you better if I'm out there with you," Chloe said.
"Okay but in the back," I said.
"Fine," Chloe said.
"Let me know when you're ready to finish this thing," Bill said. "Should check the house for supplies,"
"Give you a holler," I said and Chloe and I went over searching the house and found some grabbing them and heading back where Ellie was in the driver side. "You gonna be okay with this,"
"Yeah Not a problem," Ellie said.
"Alright," I said.
Chloe hopes into the truck and has her guns ready.
"Ready?" Bill said.
I give Bill a letter from Frank which I found in the other room. "Bill I found this in there and I figured you should have it," I said.
"That's how you feel, Well fuck you too Frank. Fucking idiot. You ready to go?" Bill said throwing the letter.
"Let's do it," I said then grabbed the letter and when to the back of the jeep.
"Alright, Put her in first," Bill said.
"Already did it," Ellie said.
"Just keep your foot on the clutch and when we get to roll," Bill said.
"I know how to pop a clutch," Ellie said.
"How the hell do? Y'know what I don't care, Just don't fuck it up," Bill said.
"Ellie, Get ready. Now hit it," I said as it only the jeep gets as far as the deserted street before dying.
"Perfect. Hey good job kid," Bill said.
"Bill, Not fucking helping," Chloe said.
"Ellie, we're gonna give it another go, stay focused," I said.
"Jesus just keep turning Right, Let's get to the hill at the end of the street," Bill said.
Then Infected showed up which Chloe was killing. Once Chloe had killed the 3rd wave. We were at the end of the street where the last drop. Where we could try on last time.
"Alright Ellie get ready," I said then it started to roll down the hill.
"Ellie Start it up," Chloe said.
Then It works.
"You hear that sound Bill," I said .
"Yeah, Means the infected hear it too, Let's get in the fucking Jeep," Bill said.
Chloe got into the front and Bill and I jumped into the back. "Floor it," I said.
We get out of Lincoln without the infected nearby.

By near dusk.
"Alright this'll do stop!" Bill said.
"Just keep it running, Alright?" I said.
Then Bill and I got out.
"That girl nearly got us killed," Bill said.
"She held her own. Something I can use," I said.
"You ain't gonna make it, Oh here," Bill said tosses me a siphon.
"For gas," I said.
"You'd be amazed at how many cars still got gas in them," Bill said.
"Appreciate it. Look Bill about your buddy back there. That's a tough deal," I said.
"We square?" Bill said.
"We're square," I said.
"Then get the fuck outta my town," Bill said walking off.
Then we hit the highway.

Later on.
"Oh man," Ellie said.
"Hey what happened to sleeping," I said.
"OKay, I know it doesn't look like it, But this is not a bad read. Only one problem, Right there. To be continued. I hate cliffhangers," Ellie said holding up a comic.
"You got that from Bill's didn't you," I said.
"Yeah. I mean all this stuff was just lying there," Ellie said.
"What else did you get?" I said.
"Well," Ellie said pulling out a CD. "Here, This make you all nostalgic?"
"Y'know that came out when I was 16. That is a winner though," I said putting it into the CD player. Then It came on with Chasing Legacy from Fast and Furious Spy Racers.
"Man, I missed this," Chloe said.
"Nice. I'm sure your friend will be missing this tonight," Ellie said.
"Mm hmm," Chloe said.
"Light on the reading but it's got some interesting photos," Ellie said.
"Ellie, That ain't for kids," Chloe said.
"Whoa. How the hell would he even walk around with that thing?" Ellie said.
"Get rid of that," I said.
"Hold your horse, I wanna see what the fuss is about? Why are these all stuck together? Relax I'm just fucking with you, Bye bye dude," Ellie said throwing it out the window.
"You know what? This isn't that bad," Ellie said. Turning the music up.
