Girl Talk
Walking into the Watchtower's cafeteria, Black Canary was pleasantly surprised to find it almost completely empty. It was very early in the morning, at least in Eastern Standard Time, so most of the League would not be roaming the halls of the Watchtower for at least a couple more hours.
Walking over to the buffet that was already filled with every possible morning dish she could ever think of, Dinah grabbed a plate from the side and silently thanked Bruce for seeing to all of the small details in the League. Everyone knew that without him, the Justice League would have fallen apart years ago, and his small details like making sure breakfast was always available reminded Dinah of how important he was to not just the League, but to the leaguers themselves.
Black Canary grabbed almost everything that she could see, as her day yesterday was quite... intense. Yesterday was February 14th, more commonly recognized as Valentine's Day. Green Arrow had done wonders for her, and after a night quiet dinner at a small restaurant next to a building he owns, he brought her back to his large apartment to continue the celebration of their love.
As she finished gathering her breakfast, Dinah looked at the vast buffet once again and her thoughts shifted to wondering what Bruce was doing right now. She knows he probably treated yesterday as just another regular day with no special meaning, since she knew about his firm belief that he has no time nor room in his life for a relationship.
Dinah felt bad for Bruce. She knew that out of everyone in the league, maybe in the entire world if she was being honest with herself, no one deserved to feel the happiness that comes along with a relationship more than he did. Dinah knew that Bruce had felt something for a few women before, but those relationships always ended in him being betrayed and heartbroken. It is no wonder that he is so hesitant to engage in a relationship again after all he has faced.
Walking over to the tables in the cafeteria, Black Canary was surprised to find Hawkgirl and Huntress at a table, both with large plates of food in front of them. Dinah smirked at this, and she was happy that her friends also seemed to have a good day yesterday.
Hawkgirl saw Black Canary approaching their table and waved her over. Black Canary quickly grabbed a seat and began eating her breakfast.
"Someone's a little bit hungry," Hawkgirl commented with a slight smirk on her face.
"I had a busy night," Black Canary replied.
"Just 'busy'?" Huntress questioned. All three girls began to laugh.
"Oliver definitely outdid himself this year. I'll never question his devotion to me again," Black Canary said with a smirk on her face. "From the mountain of food on both of your plates, I'm assuming I wasn't the only one with a busy night?" Black Canary asked, although it was more of a statement than a question.
"Oh yeah, Q took me to this nice restaurant a few blocks from his apartment. The food there was great, but I enjoyed the dessert back at his apartment much more," Huntress said with a smirk. Black Canary jokingly swatted at her shoulder for the innuendo.
"I had a great night with John as well. For how militaristic he is, I always love it when he lets me see the romantic side of him," Shayera said.
"Wow, Shayera, that has to be one of the most compassionate things you've ever said," Helena commented. "Your night must have really been wild."
Shayera slightly blushed at Helena's comment. "Oh it definitely was. I'm still feeling a little lightheaded this morning," she proudly revealed. The girls continued on talking about their night until they heard the cafeteria doors open once more.
The three female heroines were shocked to see Wonder Woman walk into the cafeteria. She had her hands clasped together behind her back, and she seemed to glow as if she was an angel from the heavens. They could also barely make out her humming some type of tune.
The three female leaguers continued to watch as she went to the buffet and grabbed a few pastries on a plate. Seeing the other leaguers watching her, Diana smiled brightly at them and walked over to their table.
"Do you mind if I sit with you?," Diana asked with a bright smile.
"Not at all, Di. We were just talking about our day yesterday," Huntress responded. Diana pulled out a chair next to Shayera and started to eat her breakfast. Watching her, Shayera was slightly suspicious. Diana rarely ate breakfast, and when she did it was usually just some various fruits. Right now, she had five chocolate pastries on her plate, and she was eating them as if it was the first time she had ever discovered such a delicacy. She seemed to be lost in her food, and was barely paying attention to the other girls at the table.
Before Shayera could voice her thoughts to Diana, Dinah started to speak.
"As I was saying, at the restaurant Oliver and I ordered a nice meal for two, and we ate a candlelight dinner with just the two of us. The restaurant was relatively empty, so we had a decent amount of privacy from the outside world. In those moments, it felt as if we were the only two people in the world," Dinah said with a smile on her face.
All the other girls continued to talk about their romantic dinners. After a while, they realized Diana was being very quiet, and they looked up to see her head being supported by her arms and a dreamy look on her face. Out of both shock and concern, Shayera waved her hand in front of Diana's face.
"Diana? Earth to Wonder Woman! Di, are you still with us?" Shayera asked while waving her arm in front of Diana. This seemed to snap Diana out of whatever trance she was in, and she quickly looked at Hawkgirl.
"What happened there, Di? Is there something on your mind?" Shayera asked, concerned for her friend's wellbeing. Her concern immediately left and curiosity took its place as a bright red hue took over Diana's face.
"Uh, no, nothing really," Diana said while still blushing profusely. There was definitely something Wonder Woman was hiding, but the women decided not to push her about it and they continued to talk about their date nights.
"Anyway, the dinner was nothing compared to what happened back at his apartment with just the two of us," Helena said with a large smirk.
"One of the best nights of my life," Dinah said with a smile.
"You're telling me," Shayera replied.
"It was amazing."
Black Canary, Hawkgirl, and Huntress quickly snapped their heads to look at the princess. Diana was once again zoned out, however this time she was looking at her plate with a smile, not noticing the other female leaguers staring at her.
"WHAT!?" Helena screamed. Diana quickly looked up to find the three heroines staring at her. For a brief second she was confused, but once she recalled what she just said, Diana turned as red as her uniform.
"Di! Are you telling me you finally got together with him!?" Shayera asked. There was no need to identify who the "him" was. With the bets that have been placed throughout the Watchtower, all the leaguers (except those that knew them best) already assumed these two superheroes were secretly dating with how much time they spent with each other.
Diana looked at her three friends, both shocked at what she revealed and slightly furious with herself for not being careful with her words. She knew that once Shayera, Dinah, and Helena knew the truth, there was no way the entire league would not figure out that the two had started dating.
Diana decided that there was no reason to deny it any longer. "To confirm your suspicions, Shay... yes, Bruce and I have started "dating," as you say," Diana revealed with a huge smile. The three female leaguers could easily see how happy Diana was to finally capture her Knight, and they could not be more happy for her.
Shayera quickly brought her into a tight hug. "Diana! I'm so happy for you! Oh my god, this is amazing. I know there were bets placed on when you two would finally knock boots, but I did not think it would happen this quickly!"
"What do you mean by "bets placed on us"? And why is knocking our boots together worthy enough to place a bet on?" Diana asked, confused about what Hawkgirl was telling her.
"What Shayera is trying to say," Dinah cut in to save Shayera, "is that the majority of the League wanted to see you two together, and that we are happy that Bruce finally opened his heart to you," Dinah said with a smile. Wonder Woman just responded to her with a large smile that showed the extent of her happiness.
"Ok, that's sweet and all. But Diana, you HAVE to tell us about your night. Us girls want DETAILS," Huntress said, making an emphasis on the word 'details'.
"Well, I-uh, I don't know if I am fully comfortable sharing everything we did last night," Diana replied, her blush returning with a vengeance.
"NO WAY!" Shayera exclaimed. Black Canary and Huntress looked at her with a puzzled expression. Although Hawkgirl was not as good of a detective as the legendary Batman was, she was able to pick up on details that others, such as Dinah and Helena, might miss.
At Shayera's exclamation, Diana's blush got even deeper. She should have known that Shayera would have figured out that she got closer to Bruce last night that she ever thought she would go with a man.
"Ok Di, we'll get to that part later. But right now, you are definitely telling us about your night, cause right now you have details that every woman in the league is dying to know," Hawkgirl said.
"I'll reveal to you as much as I feel comfortable with," Diana said with her royal tone, however on the inside she was glad that she was discussing this with her three closest female friends. She was extremely satisfied with the recent turn of events, and she wanted to share her happiness with someone.
Diana dreamily sighed as she began to recount how the date of the decade came to be. "It all started on a mission in Metropolis..."
"Diana! Roll right!"
Without thinking, Wonder Woman rolled to her right, just barely avoiding a large red laser from striking her in the back. She quickly took out her lasso and flung it onto the arm of the large Lexcorp robot that was currently attacking her. She pulled hard on the lasso, and with some effort the metal arm finally came off.
She quickly spun in a circle with her lasso, building up momentum with the robot's arm until she launched the arm straight back to its owner.
Having time to regain her breath, Diana's thoughts shifted to the man that owned the deep baritone voice that called out to her. She had gotten much closer to Bruce in these past few months, with him even giving her access to the Manor and Batcave anytime she wanted. When she told Superman about this, he just started laughing. She was confused at the time, and she never had a chance to ask him as he was called to a mission. However, she did hear him mumble something about how 'Bruce still denies his feelings' in between chuckles as he walked away.
Turning to look where she knew Batman was, she watched as he effortlessly climbed onto the back of the two-story tall robot and opened up its back paneling. She watched as he quickly pulled some type of black square out, shutting down the robot. He then took the black square and attached it to a device that he had.
Wonder Woman would have continued watching Batman, however her thoughts were quickly interrupted by the sound of another large robot landing in front of her. As she took her battle stance, the robot's eyes suddenly turned off, and it fell over onto its side. Diana looked around, and she noticed that the other five remaining robots did so as well.
She noticed Superman flying over to Batman, and she decided to go join the other two heroes.
As she arrived, she heard Superman start to talk to Batman.
"What happened? Did the robots malfunction?" Superman asked, confused how all of the robots immediately stopped working.
"They did malfunction, however it wasn't due to a software error. I recognized that the robots were all made by Lexcorp, and this meant that Luther was probably running all of them on the same network. I simply took a hard drive containing information about that network from one of the robots and copied down the frequencies. Then, it was simply a matter of shutting them off," Batman said without even looking up. He was checking the compartments of his utility belt to see how many supplies he went through.
"Of course Luther was behind this. Any chance he can get at throwing some type of contraption at us, he'll take," Wonder Woman said, annoyed that Lex Luthor once again tried targeting the League.
"Well, I hope he starts getting more original ideas. I mean c'mon, giant robots? That's something I would've seen in the movies I watched as a kid," Superman joked.
The clock tower in the center of Metropolis chimed, indicating the start of the hour.
"Oh man, I gotta get going guys. I have a date with you-know-who tonight to celebrate Valentine's Day. Do you think you can handle cleanup by yourselves?" Superman asked. He had gotten reservations, thanks to Bruce's help, at the most prestigious restaurant in Metropolis, and he was bringing Lois with him for a Valentine's Day dinner date. He looked at Batman and Wonder Woman expectantly, although he was sort of surprised to see a confused expression on Wonder Woman's face.
"We can handle it. You just worry about being there on time, or dealing with Luthor will be the least of your problems," Batman said. Superman gave a quick salute of thanks and quickly flew into the sky.
As Batman and Wonder Woman were finishing up rounding all of the robots up into one large pile, Diana decided that it would be a good time to ask Bruce about what Clark was talking about.
"Batman?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Yes, Princess?" Batman replied.
"Kal said something about going on a dinner date for 'Valentine's Day'. What is this Valentine's Day, and why does it require a dinner date?" Diana questioned. While she had been in Patriarch's World for almost two years now, there were still some practices that she was unaccustomed to.
"Wait, wait, wait. You never heard of Valentine's Day before?" Huntress asked Wonder Woman, interrupting her recount of the night.
"I mean, it wasn't like I came to Patriarch's world in order to learn about all of the holidays everyone celebrates. I mainly came here to assist in protecting the world and spreading the Amazonian ideals," Diana said.
"Good point. Now, let's get back to the details," Black Canary said.
"Anyway..." Diana continued.

"Valentine's Day is a certain holiday that recognizes the commitment that two people have to each other. Most commonly it is recognized as a romantic holiday, however some people have used it as an excuse to spend time with friends that they are close with," Batman said.
"So it is a time for people to express how much they care for one another?" Diana asked with a slight smirk.
Batman was not looking at her face, so he did not see the smirk she had.
"That's a pretty accurate description of the holiday, yes," Batman responded. He was too busy looking at his utility belt's compartments to notice Wonder Woman fly up next to him. He would never admit this to her face, but he only noticed her presence when she put her hand on his shoulder and leaned in close to him.
"So, Bruce," Diana whispered close to his ear. "Would you like to have one of these Valentine's Day dinners with me?"
Batman was having a hard time breathing with how close Diana was to him, her jasmine scent filling his senses. Then for her to blatantly ask him out in her flirty tone that, he noticed, she only used with him made him lose his sense of balance.
Turning to face her in order to get some type of balance, he immediately was met with the hopefully blue eyes that adorned her face.
"I, uh..." Batman started to say. Here he was, billionaire playboy by the day, the most feared person in the criminal underworld by night, and he was stumbling over his words because the most beautiful woman on the planet just asked him out on a date.
Batman quickly saw the hope in Diana's eyes turn to disappointment. She quickly tilted her head down to her chest and clasped her hands in front of her. "I understand if you have more important things to do, Bruce. I'm sorry I asked," Diana said. She turned to take off when a gloved hand caught her shoulder.
"Yes, I would like to have dinner with you," Bruce said with a small smile. Diana gave him a bright smile, her spirits rejuvenated.
"Ok, great," Diana said, nervously tucking a curl of her raven hair behind her ear.
Batman on his part was flushed with both warmth and arousal. Here was the strongest woman on the planet, acting like a shy school girl in front of him. He was amazed at the effect they could have one each other, and he wondered if Diana knew the effect that she had on him. Knowing her as well as he did, Batman assumed that she did.
"How about you drop by the Manor in a couple of hours, around 7 o'clock?" Batman said.
"That would be wonderful. Thank you, Bruce," Diana said. She quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek before she took off. Batman quickly put a hand to when she kissed him on his cheek, still feeling the warmth that she created within him.
Diana was flying through the air. She felt as if she finally had everything she had ever wanted. It was a long fight, but she finally had gotten her Dark Knight.

"Wait, so YOU asked HIM out?" Black Canary questioned.
"Yes, I was the one that asked Bruce to go to dinner. Is there an issue with that?" Diana asked.
"Uh, no. Not at all, Di. It's just strange for a woman to make the first move. Then again, Bruce would never have made the first move, so it makes sense that you asked him," Hawkgirl said.
"Ok, but now we have to hear about your date!" Huntress squealed.
"Right, the date," Wonder Woman said.

Bruce was in his bedroom, adjusting the cuffs of his specially tailored dress shirt. While he was excited that he was finally going on a date with Diana, there was still a large fear about the possible backfires this could have if they did not work out.
"Master Bruce," Alfred said, snapping Bruce out of his thoughts. "I would like to inform you that the dinner preparations have begun, and all of the other preparations that you requested have already been completed." Alfred had a large smirk on his face, as he was happy that his surrogate son was finally opening his heart to someone that Alfred knew could bring life back into the Wayne household.
"Thank you, Alfred," Bruce replied, still looking into the mirror at his appearance. Alfred sensed his sudden melancholy, and he hoped that he was not second guessing his decision to have a date with the princess.
"Sir, is everything alright?" Alfred asked.
Bruce looked down towards the floor, a sudden sadness overtaking his features. "What am I doing, Alfred? Why am I going out with Diana when I know that this will go nowhere. She is going to see me for how I truly am, and once that happens, there is no way she will want anything to do with me," Bruce said, the pain in his heart at the thought of Diana leaving him being too much to bear.
Alfred saw the pain and hopelessness that Bruce was in, and he felt bad for him. He had experienced nothing but heartache whenever he tried to open himself to others, and he prayed that one day Bruce would find the right person to live his life with. Alfred knew that Diana was that person, and he would not let Bruce give up the opportunity to see it as well.
"I saw that's rubbish, Master Bruce. I know who you truly are, and I am still here, fighting with you every day. You also have two young wards that fight with you as well. If Miss Diana did not believe that she fully knew the true you, then I guarantee you that she would not be coming here today. However, that is not the case, Master Bruce. She does know who you are on the inside, and she accepts that and cares for you. I believe that you would be foolish to give up a possible life with a woman like that," Alfred said.
Bruce looked over at Alfred with a small smile on his face. "How do you always do that?"
"Do what, Master Bruce?" Alfred asked.
"How do you always know what to say to me?" Bruce asked.
Alfred turned to walk out the door to continue his dinner preparations. However, before he left, he turned his head to slightly look over his shoulder back into Bruce's bedroom.
"Well, sir, I guess we can say it is my superpower," Alfred said. He then left, with the last thing he saw being Bruce's large smile.
As Diana materialized on the platform of the Batcave's transporter, she was always surprised at how marvelous the cave was. The intricate planning about every single aspect of the cave reflected the owner in every small detail, and it was clear to see that this was the domain of the Batman.
Diana looked down from the platform to lock her eyes with the man behind the suit. In that moment, she knew she was looking into the eyes of the man between the playboy and the Bat. She could see the eyes of Bruce himself, the man that wanted to do the right thing and help others, but who was scared of giving his heart to someone with the fear of it being crushed.
As she stepped down the platform, she could not help but smile at the look he had in his eyes. Whenever Diana makes public appearances, most men have looked upon her with only lust in their eyes. Bruce's eyes were always filled with adoration and compassion whenever he looked at her, and it never failed to make her heart flutter.
Bruce could not stop smiling himself. She always had this effect on him, being able to see into the depths of his soul to the man that he locked away years ago. Bruce had put up many walls around his heart after the betrayals and heartbreaks he had experienced, and he thought that he would never get close to a woman again. That all changed when a beautiful Amazon princess made her presence known to him and started to chip away at the icy walls of his heart, until all that remained was a thin layer of the once great wall that was around the heart of Bruce Wayne.
"Diana, you look... beautiful," Bruce said. She was wearing a red form-fitting dress that showed off all of her feminine curves, exemplifying why she was the most beautiful woman in the world. Her hair was down around her angelic face in curls, and she only had a small amount of makeup on, most notably being the red lipstick she was wearing. She exuded gracefulness, compassion, and a naive sexuality that was yet to be tamed. Bruce was at a loss of words how someone as perfect as her would want a place in his life.
Diana slightly blushed at his compliment. It was rare to hear Batman give out compliments, but this was not Batman nor playboy Bruce Wayne. This was Bruce, her Bruce.
"Thank you, Bruce. You look very handsome yourself," Diana said, meaning every word in her sentence. Bruce was the perfect specimen of a man. Even in his dark suit, his muscular body was clearly visible underneath it, almost seemingly trying to break out of its confinement. He looked to be carved from clay, just like her, with his striking jawline, piercing dark blue eyes that reminded her of the deep seas around Themyscira, and his short jet black hair that all added up made Bruce the most handsome man Diana had ever seen.
Taking her hand, Bruce escorted her towards the staircase that would lead them back up to the Manor, doing his best to ignore the warmth and lightheadedness he felt with her close proximity. They made small talk while walking through the cave, but Bruce was having trouble focusing on anything but her. Diana's aura was making him barely comprehend any logical thoughts that he was having, trying his best to not just take her up to his bedroom where he could finally show her his true feelings that he had buried down over the past two years.
Opening the secret clock entrance into the Manor's study, Bruce led Diana down one of the Manor's massive hallways, never letting go of her hand.
"Alfred decided to make a special dinner for us tonight, and he made me promise under the threat of bodily harm that I will not spoil what we are having tonight," Bruce joked to Diana while they walked down the hallway.
At his remark, Diana bursted into a small fit of giggles. "Wow, Alfred really knows how to put you in your place, doesn't he?"
"Trust me when I say that I'm glad Alfred works for me and not some physic criminal in Gotham. He could take me down in seconds if he wanted to," Bruce said.
"Hmm, maybe I should ask him for some pointers? It would be good knowing some ways to take you down a peg, especially when we spar," Diana quipped.
"Creating your own contingency plans, Princess? You've been hanging around me too much," Bruce said, continuing their banter. Diana once again started laughing, and Bruce could not help himself but join along with her.
"Hera, Bruce. While I love seeing this lighter side of you, I feel like we have been walking for ages. Where are you taking me?" Diana asked.
"While we wait for dinner to finish, there is something that I want to show you that relates to Valentine's Day. It is on the other side of the Manor from the cave's main entrance, so it is quite a walk. We are almost there though," Bruce answered.
The pair continued to walk for a couple of minutes, this time in complete silence. Diana was trying to silently guess where Bruce was bringing her, while Bruce was thinking about what he was about to show Diana. There had only been one other woman Bruce had shown this to, and she eventually left him due to their conflicting ideals.
Walking through large glass doors, Diana immediately found herself outside in the Manor's garden. It was relatively large, almost twice the size of the Watchtower's conservatory and filled with various different types of flowers, bushes, and trimmed hedges.
Bruce silently led Diana over to a patch of roses that almost seemed hidden from the rest of the garden. Diana let go of Bruce's hand and bent down to smell the divine fragrance the roses emitted.
"Bruce, these roses are so lovely. They give off a wonderful fragrance," Diana commented.
"These roses are my favorite part of the garden. They were actually taken care of by my mother," Bruce revealed. Diana looked up at him, shocked that he would show her something this personal to him. She knew how little he revealed about his parents.
"My father and I would enjoy watching her tend to the roses almost three times a week. She spent so much time out here that my father called it 'Martha's Rose Garden'. This is one of the only things that I have left of her," Bruce said, trying his best to rein in his emotions.
Diana was almost in tears at Bruce's story. The fact that he revealed so much information to her shows her home much he trusts her with his heart. She quickly got to her feet and brought Bruce into a hug, not of pity, but instead of compassion for the one man she has grown very close to.
Bruce eventually broke the hug after a while and just stared into Diana's eyes for a moment. He could see just from her eyes that she understood the importance of a place such as this, and for that he would always respect her.
Diana watched and Bruce bent down and plucked a single rose from the garden. He took out a small blade that he had in his suit jacket and quickly cut off all of the thorns on the rose. He then turned to Diana and handed the rose to her.
"There is a Valentine's Day tradition where the man gives the woman flowers, and I decided that the best flower to give you was one that meant so much to me," Bruce said.
Diana took the rose from Bruce's hand and looked down at it. She was amazed at how deep and compassionate Bruce's heart was. Everyone thought of him as a selfish and uncaring person, but Diana knew that could not be further from the truth. Bruce was actually the most caring person she has ever known, sacrificing himself and his happiness in order to save a city that people years ago would have called unsaveable. Bruce had done what he has done many times before: prove all of his doubters wrong. His warrior spirit is one of the many things that Diana fell in love with.
Without thinking, Diana quickly tilted Bruce's head down with her other hand, and she quickly brought his lips into a passionate kiss that hid no feelings from one another. Their hearts were out in the open, emotions long suppressed finally being freed upon the surface for them to flourish.
Before they could continue anymore, someone clearing their throat caused the two to separate their lips from each other, foreheads resting against one another as they shared the same breath.
"Sorry to interrupt the wonderful mood, Master Bruce and Miss Diana, but I would like to inform you that dinner is ready in the family dining room," Alfred said, barely suppressing a smirk that gave away his true feelings on the scene before him. He was so happy that his ward had finally opened his heart to the wonderful princess.
"We'll be right there, Alfred," Bruce responded for both himself and Diana, as she was still trying to catch her breath from that kiss. Alfred replied with a nod, before quickly taking off to give the two heroes some privacy.
"Looks like it is time for you to find out what Alfred has cooked up for us, Princess," Bruce said with a smirk.
"Shall we go find out?" Diana asked, slightly saddened that their intimate moment was interrupted. However, she firmly believed that they will have a chance to continue the kiss later.
Bruce held out his arm for Diana to take, and they both walked back into the Manor to find what Alfred had made them for dinner.
Diana followed Bruce into the family dining room. This was a smaller room compared to the other grand rooms in the Manor, with a direct doorway to the large kitchen and a table that could hold about six people comfortably.
Bruce saw that Alfred had forgone the traditional method of placing their plates on the opposite ends of the table and instead placed their plates right next to each other. Bruce silently chuckled at Alfred's antics, although Bruce could definitely say he was not disappointed that he got to sit this close to Diana. No, instead he was looking forward to seeing what would happen during dinner with her sitting so close to him.
Bruce pulled out Diana's chair like Alfred had taught him since he was a small boy, and Diana took the seat with a smile on her face. Some time after she first came to Patriarch's World and she discovered Batman's true identity, she had Bruce tell her about what the proper manners regarding courtesy were, so that if she ever had to attend one of these prestigious events, she would have an idea of what to do.
When Bruce first explained it to her, Diana did not understand the importance of having her own chair pulled out for her. Now, with Bruce doing it for her, it shows her that he respects and cares for her, and that he is doing it to show his gratitude for her.
Sitting down in his own seat next to Diana, Bruce could not help himself but stare at her. She was sitting at the head of the table, and he was seated just off to her right side. He watched as she played with a curl of her raven hair, waiting for Alfred to surprise her with the special Grecian dinner that Bruce selected to have tonight. She was doing nothing at all, yet Bruce was getting flustered from just watching Diana be herself. She had a certain innocence to her that was so alluring to him.
Diana looked up in order to start a conversation with Bruce while waiting for dinner, and she was surprised to see him staring at her with darkening eyes. Diana's breath momentarily caught in her throat at the way Bruce was looking at her. Like she mentioned, she had seen how men have lusted at her in public, but she usually paid them no attention. With Bruce, however, the look he was giving her was making her heart beat in her chest, stirring up a warmth in her loins that she was unaccustomed to.
Before Diana could make a comment, Alfred came through the kitchen doors with two large silver platters. He placed the first one in front of Diana before moving over to place the second one in front of Bruce. When he uncovered the platters, Diana was shocked to find a traditional Royal Grecian meal similar to ones that she would have on Themyscira.
"Oh, Alfred, this is wonderful!" Diana commented. She had not had any time for Grecian-style food besides the last time she returned to her island several months ago.
"It is my pleasure, Miss Diana," Alfred said. Alfred quickly left to bring the pair a bottle of wine, and once he returned he silently poured two glasses while the pair talked about different things before making himself scarce.
Bruce could not remember the last time he had enjoyed a date so much. Granted, all of the other "dates" he went on were just going to some gala with a model or rich businessman's daughter, but this was nothing like that at all. With those events, Bruce just quickly made an appearance and left as soon as he could. Here, right now with Diana, Bruce found that he never wanted the night to end. He actually felt... content.
Diana told Bruce some stories of Wally's failed pranks that he attempted on the Watchtower when Bruce was not there, such as trying to hide Shayera's mace from her. Bruce could not stop laughing at Diana's description of Wally's face when Shayera threatened to break both of his legs if he did not give her mace back.
Diana could not remember the last time she had ever had this fun in her life. This was her first date ever with a man, and she was happy that she was having a good time. Seeing Bruce so light and, dare she say, happy makes Diana want to do this numerous different times with Bruce.
Diana slightly laughs at the thought. 'Imagine if my mother could see me now. Me, enjoying myself, on a date with a man nonetheless. If she ever found out about this, she would immediately banish me from the island again,' Diana thought with a chuckle.
Bruce then started telling Diana about the Batclan, more specifically the trouble that the Batclan gets into. He told Diana about the time that Tim had broken one of Dick's escrima sticks while training, and how Dick tried to break Tim's bow staff in retaliation, but ultimately failed.
Long after their dinners were both finished, Diana and Bruce were still talking throughout the night. They had both barely even had their wines, as they were too engaged in conversation to even have a break to take a drink. Eventually, the conversation died down, and Bruce and Diana found themselves looking at each other.

"No way, here it is!" Shayera said, knowing that this was the part that Diana had been blushing about earlier.
"SHHHHHHHHH," Dinah and Helena commanded, their voices echoing across the Watchtower's cafeteria. The feathers on Shayera's wings slightly ruffled at being shushed, but she instantly quieted down.
"Continue with your recount, Diana. It seems that it is about to get VERY interesting," Dinah commented.
Diana blushed deeply at Black Canary's comment, but she decided to continue on her story.
"I'll try to share as much as I can, but some parts I might leave out," Diana said. At the girl's expectant faces, Diana sighed while she continued her story.
"Anyway, as I mentioned, we were sitting in silence for a short amount of time, before I decided to break the silence..."

"Bruce, I really want to thank you for having dinner with me tonight. I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed myself this much in my entire life," Diana said, looking away from Bruce's eyes that seemed to be staring into her soul.
"Diana, I should be the one thanking you for coming over here tonight. I can also honestly say that I have never enjoyed myself this much in my entire life either," Bruce replied.
Diana lifted her head up again and was once again staring into the dark blue eyes that belonged to the one man that had done the impossible: winning the heart of the Amazon Princess.
"Bruce," Diana whispered, her voice taking on a desiring tone.
Bruce was lost in Diana' eyes, the blueness of them reminding him of tropical water. He carefully took her chin in his hand, and slowly lifted her head up to his waiting lips.
"Diana," Bruce said, his voice full of desire. He quickly connected their lips, feeling the sparks flying off as they passionately poured everything they had from their hearts and souls into that kiss. When Bruce increased the tempo, Diana responded in kind, never falling behind.
The kiss quickly became heated, and eventually Bruce pulled Diana out of her chair and onto his lap, with her straddling his thighs. They continued to embrace each other, pulling the other as close as possible in order to maximize contact.
Bruce broke the kiss, and Diana was disappointed for only a second until he started to kiss a path from her jaw to her ear. He unhurriedly nibbled at a secret spot behind her ear that she did not even know about, and it made her let out a soft moan.
"Bruce," Diana said, her voice completely filled with desire. She could not deny her feelings any longer. She wanted to finally be intimate with a man. Not just any man, however, but the one who's lap she is currently on.
"Bruce," Diana said lightly, letting out a soft moan as Bruce slowly kissed down her neck. "I want you."
Bruce quickly looked up into Diana's eyes, not believing what she said. He knew that she had never been with a man before, and she was asking him to be her first.
"Are you sure Diana? Is this really what you want? With me?" Bruce asked, slightly afraid that she would deny him right here. If she left, he did not think he would ever be able to pick up the broken pieces of his heart again.
Diana must have seen the slight fear in his eyes, and as if to reassure him, she quickly brought him into a heated kiss that had his toes curling.
After a short amount of time, Diana broke the kiss and pulled her head back slightly so she could look directly into Bruce's eyes. She wanted him to see the truth to the words she was about to say.
"Yes, Bruce. I am sure. There is no other man that I would rather give myself to than the one that has captured my heart," Diana said.
Hearing Diana's proclamation of love for him made Bruce's heart swell in his chest. He quickly scooped her up in his arms, with her wrapping her legs around his waist as they continued to kiss, carrying her to his bedroom in a speed that would make the Flash jealous. Once in his bedroom, he kicked the door closed without breaking the kiss, and he slowly laid her down on her back on his large bed, determined to make this a night that both he and Diana will never forget.
Breaking the kiss, Bruce cupped Diana's cheek in his large hands. He stared into her blue eyes, dark with desire for him. The thought alone heated his blood, that this real life goddess trusts him to be her first, and hopefully last, lover.
"I love you, Princess. Ever since I first saw you, it's only been you. I've tried to push away these feelings for so long, but I can't deny them any longer. I want you, Diana," Bruce said, hoping she could see how open he was being with her. Bruce did not think that he had ever opened himself up like this to anyone, but that was the effect Diana had on him.
The large heartfelt smile that Diana gave him allowed Bruce to know that she did understand that this was the true Bruce talking to her, not one of his masks. She quickly pulled him back on top of her, connecting their lips in a passionate kiss that hinted at what was to come shortly.
The rest of the night was pure bliss for the two new lovers, both Diana and Bruce experiencing pleasure and a connection they had never thought possible. At the end of the night, the couple sleep peacefully, their hearts feeling complete for the first time in both of their lives.

As Diana finished describing her night with Bruce, she was surprised to see all three of the female leaguers staring at her in silence, engrossed in the story.
"So, that was how I spent Valentine's Day," Diana said.
"Wait, Di, you're telling me that the first man you have ever had sex with was Bruce Wayne?!" Black Canary asked.
Diana blushed at Dinah's comment, memories of her previous night flashing in her mind.
"Well, it was definitely more than just sex, Dinah. This was more of making love with someone that I feel is the other part of my soul. But to answer your question, yes, Bruce was the first person I have ever made love to. I know it has only been one night, but what I feel with Bruce is something that I was taught from a young age to hate. I actually want to make a life with him," Diana said, avoiding the gaze of the girls.
"Damn, girl! The first person you ever got to experience in bed was none other than Bruce freaking Wayne! If those rumors are true, then he must've made you swear away the Amazons for the rest of your life!" Huntress said.
Diana slightly bristled at the comment of Bruce's playboy reputation. "Actually, Helena, Bruce told me himself that all of those rumors about him are false, and were actually just put out in order to cement his womanizer reputation," Diana said, defending her new lover.
"So, Bruce is not as crazy in bed as everyone says he is?" Shayera asked.
The three heroines watched as, once again, Diana started blushing profusely.
"I never said he was bad, no no, definitely the opposite. While it is true that all of those rumors about the women he has been with are false, the ones that talk about how he is in bed are certainly true," Diana said, once again much more focused on her bracers than the gazes of Black Canary, Huntress, and Hawkgirl.
"So how do you feel about it, Di? Did he treat you right?" Hawkgirl asked.
Diana seemed to think for a moment before she answered. "Where do I even begin, Shay? It was everything that I ever wanted with Bruce, him being the one that I give up my purity for. And while I knew that he would make it one of the best experiences of my life, it was so much more than I was expecting. He was everything that I believe a man should be with a woman: kind, gentle, trusting, caring, focusing on her rather than himself. When we first joined, he slowly took his time, only continuing if I felt comfortable. Hours after we finished, I still feel content, as if I am flying around the warm air in Themyscira. I trusted him with my heart, and he not only took care of it, but he also gave me his," Diana said, nervously playing with a lock of her raven hair as she revealed what was in her heart.
Hearing no replies from the female leaguers, Diana looked up to see all of them with their mouths wide open in surprise.
"Damn, and I thought my night was interesting," Black Canary quipped. While she was definitely jealous of Diana, she was happy that her two friends were finally getting the love they deserved in each other.
"Wow, Di. I can tell how much you both care for each other. If he could make you feel like this, I can imagine how amazing your night was," Shayera commented.
At that moment, Green Arrow and Batman walked into the cafeteria. Green Arrow briskly walked by to the coffee machine, but Batman actually walked up to the table.
"Black Canary, Hawkgirl, Huntress," Batman greeted in his deep voice. When he turned to Diana, everyone saw how it looked as if a weight was lifted off his shoulders.
"Princess," Batman greeted in a much lighter and contented voice. Black Canary, Huntress, and Hawkgirl were shocked to hear the, dare they say it, happiness in Bruce's voice.
Diana gave Batman a smile that would have blinded the sun if possible.
"Batman, how are you doing this morning?" Diana asked.
"Good, considering some recent developments," Batman said with a small smirk. "I'm assuming they know?" Batman asked Diana, motioning to the tree leaguers she was sitting with.
"I just told them about our night," Diana said, happy that Bruce seemed to be feeling as happy as she was.
"Well I hope you didn't tell them everything about last night," Batman said with a smirk. He then turned away and before he left, he looked over his shoulder and said with a slight smirk on his face, "those last few hours are something that I won't forget any time soon." He then continued walking to the coffee machine, missing Diana's face turning the color of her uniform.
Hawkgirl, Black Canary, and Huntress looked back at Diana in shock.
"Did he say 'hours'? Like plural?" Helena asked.
"Um, I mean, it was the first time that I've ever been intimate with a man, and I wanted to try some things," Diana replied, sheepishly looking down into her lap while she played with one of her raven curls.
Green Arrow decided to walk up to the table at that moment, not knowing why everyone was looking at Diana as if she had two heads. He saw how Batman looked actually happy for once in his life, so he assumed that the two finally got together.
"Hey girls," Green Arrow said to the table. "Hey pretty bird," Green Arrow said to Black Canary.
Black Canary then jumped up from the table and looked Green Arrow straight into his masked eyes. "My standards have been raised, Queen. I hope you can keep up!" Dinah said. She then turned and walked out of the cafeteria, leaving a shocked Green Arrow in her wake.
Green Arrow looked at Wonder Woman, and she looked up at him with a sheepish expression.
"Sorry," she said with a small smile.
The End
