Locker Room
After a long training, there's nothing Sally did not enjoy more than a good shower.
She currently was alone in the female locker room with only a towel wrapped around her body as she makes her way to the showers to clean all the sweat from the training.
Turning the shower on, the water falls in her head and runs through her form.
As she begins her bath, a figure suddenly appears behind her, going on the tip of her toes to not make any sound.
Ruby Rose, team leader of RWBY, does her best to sneak behind the team STRK's team leader with a mop in her hands as an improvised weapon.
-You are mine now! -Ruby thought as she raised the mop above her head.
The wood came down at the same time Sally knees, hitting the tiles and trembling in Ruby's hands.
-Ruby, it was funny at the beginning but it starts to become tiresome. -Sally complained to the younger team leader.
Ruby merely puffed her cheeks and left the shower, not before giving one last glare to Sally.
The brunette sighed. It was this Ryan had to deal with during his times at Vacuo? Sure was annoying.
To a better comprehension of what is happening, we must return to a couple of days ago.
Combat Class
Another good day to kick some ass.
Ruby as always, was ready to take down whoever will be her opponent for Glynda's class today.
When the blonde teacher called for Sally Highwind to the arena, she immediately raised her hand after Goodwitch asked who wanted to be her opponent, wanting to give her classmates a match between team leaders.
The young reaper is not a fool, so she did not think little of her brunette adversary when she took her weapons, a pair of silver and copper-colored pistols. But could not help but feel confident seeing that her opponent was going to face her scythe/sniper rifle with just a pair of ordinary pistols.
She already saw Sally fighting, and Ruby notices that her weapons were merely a pair of simple revolvers, nothing special.
Waiting for the teacher gives the signal to start the match, Ruby planned to end their fight quickly. So when the beginning echoed in the arena, Ruby left behind a bunch of rose petals when she rushed after the STRK's team leader, scythe ready to strike. No pun intended.
However, the crimson-haired girl was surprised to see that her brunette opponent dodge her first swing with the scythe.
-Miss me. -Sally taunted.
Ruby landed behind her and swung her scythe once again, now aiming to Sally's left shoulder. Without even turning around to see the blade coming, she ducked the strike without losing even a losing a single hair. Seeing that her opponent was in one knee, Ruby gave a vertical swing with her scythe, right in time to Sally got back at her feet and with a slight move to the left, the blade of the scythe missed the target.
-Miss me. -Sally taunted again.
Ruby growled and began to swing her scythe to every angle possible, each attack missing the target. Sally did not even seem to have difficulty in dodging the incoming attacks, not with her semblance.
Ruby was fast, Sally gave her that, but not as fast as Laura though.
The caped girl suddenly began to spin in midair and going fast against Sally, who keeps her arms behind her back even when the red blur rushed after her. Tilting her body back, Sally was able to dodge both feet aimed at her pretty face and used the moment to kick Ruby on her back, making her lose her balance and land roughly on the ground.
She recovered fast and aimed her rifle against Sally who even in a short distance, dodge the shots, all with a smile on her bright lips.
Ruby was losing her patience, and rushed after Sally once again, swinging her scythe to desperately land a hit against her opponent.
-Miss me! Miss me! Miss me!
-Standing still, dammit! -Ruby cursed and putting the blade of her scythe upward, moved forward to stab.
Only to Sally sidestep easily and to annoy even more the young reaper, pushed Ruby off her balance with a little push of her butt.
Ruby growled once again, swung her scythe as fast as she could, but was blocked by the handle of Sally's pistol, while the other was aimed to her face.
-That's enough. -Goodwitch spoke.
-No, wait! -Ruby began. -I still can continue!
-Giving the situation you were Ms. Rose, the match was decided. Think better about your actions before rush like that.
-But...
-Back at your seat, Ms. Rose.
Complying with her teacher's demand, Ruby walked back to her seat, unsatisfied. Her older sister patted her back saying next time she would get Sally, and Ruby sure would.
-Miss me. Miss me again. Are you even trying?
-Shut up! -Ruby growled.
The blade of the scythe aimed at Sally's neck and the brunette, with her leg, forced the scythe above her head and then shoving the blade against the ground. Sally followed by shooting both Ruby's legs, forcing the caped girl to her knees, and with a final shot on her forehead, her back hits the ground.
Goodwitch gave Sally the victory.
Sally was mocking Ruby.
The young reaper was sure about it.
Why else the brunette would be facing the crimson-haired girl with her back while dodging her attacks?
Ruby leaped in the air and prepared a vertical swing, only to Sally also leap in the air and hit Ruby on the stomach, with her butt!
Ruby landed on her rear while losing hold of her weapon, and saw the barrel of a pistol aiming at her face.
Goodwitch once again gave Sally the victory.
Again and again Ruby swung her scythe, and again and again, Sally dodges.
No matter how fast Ruby tried to attack, it seemed that Sally was one step ahead of her, and she was but Ruby did not know that.
-Too slow! -Sally stated after dodging and shooting Ruby's hand.
She let go of her scythe and received another shot on her knee, forcing her down.
In a last attempt to obtain the victory, Ruby rushed after Sally aiming a punch against the brunette's pretty face, only to Sally take hold of her hand and force her down against the ground, aiming a pistol to the back of the crimson-haired girl's head.
Goodwitch once more gave Sally the victory.
-Maybe next time Ruby. -Sally said before rejoin her teammates, not noticing the look on Ruby's silver eyes.
Three times in a roll Ruby challenged Sally, and three times she lost, and the brunette dared to say 'too slow' to her! To Ruby Rose.
For Ruby Rose, this means war.
Cafeteria
-He was just wanting to help, that's why he decides to wash my clothes. -Sally spoke on her scroll, currently engaged in a conversation with one of her friends in Mistral.
Not far from where she was, Ruby was sneaking around, going on stealth mode behind the brunette.
-But when he tried to dry my top by wringing it, he ended up tearing it by accident. So, on the next day, he bought me a new one. Isn't he sweet? -Sally keep with her conversation as she sat down.
A little far from where she sat, Ruby scooted closer to where the brunette was.
-If is he hot? -Sally asked. -I find him more cute than hot... A hot cute? No, what I mean is-excuse me for a moment. -Sally says to her scroll and suddenly turns to Ruby, who was about to jump in her. -Ruby, I'm in the middle of a conversation here.
-Fight me. -Was all Ruby said.
Sally blinked once, twice, thrice, confused with the response from the young reaper from her annoying commentary.
-I call you later. -Sally hung up her scroll, feeling that whatever Ruby wanted to need all her attention. -What are you talking about?
-I'm challenging you to a fight! -Ruby declared, pointing a finger to Sally's nose. -What do you say, Sally Highwind? Do you accept?
-No.
Ruby blinked once, twice, thrice, not expecting this response from the brunette.
-What do you mean by 'no'?
-I'm denying, refusing, not wanting to engage you in battle.
-Why? No one ever denies a challenge!
She never notices Ryan running away from Russell, did she?
-The answer still is no.
-Why not?!
-And do you want to fight me? Where did this come from?
-You insulted my honor so it is fair for you to feel my righteous fury. -Ruby answered sounding a bit too dramatic for the brunette's taste.
-Can I just apologize?
-No! -ruby declared slamming her hands on the table. -I must face you in battle and reclaim my honor!
-Whatever you mean, the answer still is no. -Sally said and got up. -Have a nice day.
As the brunette started to walk away, she had to tilt her head to the side to dodge the flying potato puree coming to the back of her head. She turns back to Ruby and sees the redhead posing like she just threw something. Sally just decides to ignore her and keep walking.
-You can't run away from me! -Ruby declared loud enough for those in the cafeteria to hear. -From this day on, Sally Highwind! I will not rest until you taste defeat by my hands, you hear me!? You shall taste defeat by my HAND!
And thus, Ruby made her declaration of war against the team leader of STRK for all the cafeteria to hear.
From this day, Sally could understand Ryan even better, seeing that she now has a one side rivalry.

This is something I thought to happen in The Dynamic Duo, so I decide to make it happen here too. Ruby already had her fair amount of rivals in fictions so one more will make no difference, I think.
