09/2019: I'm new to the fanfiction world.

02/2020: Though work is wicked busy, I hope to write more. Thus far none of my work on this site has been beta-ed. If anyone is interested being a beta reader, let me know.

09/2020: I adopted a shelter kitten earlier in the year. He is now named Fitzwillliam. Personality-wise he's more Lydia than Mr. Darcy.

A few promises from me as I continue this writing thing:

I won't go full angst on you. While I enjoy reading those variations, I don't think I would write them well. So I leave that to those who do it better.
*I will never pair Col. Fitzwilliam with Georgiana, Anne, or Caroline Bingley. In fact, I will never pair him with any of the P&P original characters.
*I am not one for extended epilogues. If it makes sense, I might give you a glimpse of future pairings but I don't feel the need to match up everyone and name their children and grandchildren.

I'm a history librarian at a research university in the Midwest. One of my areas of interest in teaching and research is using popular culture to teach critical thinking skills, research methodology, evaluation of information, etc. I haven't used any JA novels in this context so far but it's one of my goals over the next few years.
