Hello… It's me… How's everyone doing?! Yes this is the second chapter posted in a single day, yes I should spread them out across two days, but that is not what I am doing! Hope you all enjoyed the last chapter! This one is going to be everyone's stories and just something that needs to be done so I won't go into too much detail. If there are any errors in what I say is their story, please forgive me, it has been a while since I read them myself.
ALONSY!

Same day as previous chapter, an hour before Harry's call with Jacob...
Alice was just minding her own business in the house, watching a movie while Edward played the piano in their room. She then had a vision -
Her and her family were sat around an unknown dining table, happily eating lasagne with Harry, Luna and Teddy. There were no fake noises of appreciation, everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy the food. Looking at the placements, she grinned when she saw that Harry and Jasper were sat opposite each other, making it impossible for them not to look at each other. Rose was sitting next to Teddy with Emmet on her other side, Luna sat at the head of the table while Carlisle sat at the other end of the table with Esme on his left. Edward was sat next to her on Carlisle's right side. They looked happy and noticing the date and time on the electric clock/calendar on the wall, she realised that this would be happening tonight.
Exiting the vision just as her mobile started ringing, Alice squealed in excitement and answered the phone when she saw Luna's name pop up on the screen.
"Hi Luna! How are you?" Alice asked with a smile, others in the family stopping what they were doing to listen in. Well, everyone apart from Jasper who was out hunting.
"Hi Alice, I'm well thank you. I just wanted to ask if you and your family would like to come over for dinner this evening?" Luna asked.
"We would love to! Any particular reason?" Alice asked.
"Well, I just thought that we didn't really get much done last night in terms of getting to know each other so I thought that we could have you over for dinner and get that fixed." Luna replied.
"Great! What time do you want us to come over?" She asked.
"Shall we say around 6pm?" Luna asked. After confirming the time, they hung up and Alice informed the rest of the family despite them hearing the entire conversation. Everyone was excited about going, they only needed to tell Jasper when he got back from his hunt. He was due back soon anyways, so it wouldn't be a problem.
Later that evening…
He sure is cutting it close, Alice thought as she checked the clock again. It was coming up to 5:50pm and Jasper had still not returned from hunting. I haven't seen anything happen to him so it's not that, she thought.
"He's on his way back now." Edward said to her as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Alice sighed, relieved that Jasper would be on time. Only a few minutes later, Jasper walked through the door looking a little windswept.
"Where have you been?! No time. Go shower and change and quickly! We need to leave!" Alice yelled, going full panic mode on Jasper the second he walked through the door. His eyes widened and he looked to Edward for help.
"We are going to Harry's for dinner and Alice promised we would be there for 6pm." Edward explained to his brother. Jasper nodded.
"What time is it now?" Jasper asked.
"5:56pm now MOVE!" Alice screamed, shoving her brother up the stairs. Jasper rushed through his shower and was done in a minute. He was downstairs in new clothes by 5:58pm and then they left the house. They had all decided that running would be faster than driving so off they went.
As the clock struck 6pm, Alice pressed the door bell.
"Hi!" Teddy grinned as he opened the door. The Cullens melted at him. "Uncle Harry is just checking the food and asked me to take you to the table." Teddy explained. "After you, my lady." He said dramatically as he held out his hand towards Rosalie. Rose giggled and took his offer.
"Why thank you, kind ser." She said, walking into the house with him knowing that her family were following behind.
"He is so cute." Esme gushed. "Such a gentleman." Carlisle chuckled at his wife as they followed the child into the dinning room.
As they all went to take a seat, Alice stopped them as they were all about to sit in the wrong places.
"WAIT!" She yelled. "Jasper you sit there, Carlisle you are on the end of the table, and the rest go wherever." She smiled and the family gave her confused looks but did as she said. Luna then appeared with a bottle of wine.
"Good evening. Sorry I couldn't answer the door, the nargles tried to stop me from bringing the wine upstairs. Completely unnecessary. Anyways, thank you for coming tonight. Wine?" She asked opening the bottle. Alice immediately nodded and seeing their daughter, sister and wife say yes, the rest of the Cullens followed suit. Luna flicked her wand and the bottle made its way across the table, filling up each champagne flute it passed. Teddy got some sparkling apple juice instead.
"Very well, thank you." Carlisle answered with a smile.
"Yes, thank you for inviting us over dear. Where's that brother of yours?" Esme asked with a kind smile. Luna grinned as she saw the mischief and placement of everyone.
"He is just getting food out of the oven. We thought that we would eat and then have story time if that's alright?" Luna asked as they heard a yelp from the kitchen.
"That's fine by us. Do you need any help?" Esme asked, showing concern over the yelp they all heard from Harry.
"Thank you, but it's okay. I'll go to him now." Luna smiled and wandered into the kitchen. Seeing Harry running his finger under a cold tap, she raised her eyebrow. "What happened?" She asked.
"The oven gloves had a hole in the finger, bloody burnt myself." Harry grumbled.
"You sure it's not the nervousness of who is here?" Luna asked with a smirk. Harry flushed red.
"Nope. The hole. It was the hole in the glove." He said stubbornly. Of course, the vampires in the dining room heard the whole thing and were smiling while Jasper sat there half smiling, half hoping.
"Alright, I'll say this one more time for you then. You. Are. A. Wizard." She said tapping him on the head with a spoon. "Now, you take the lasagnes and I'll grab the garlic bread and potions." Luna said, grabbing some phials from the fridge. Harry nodded before using his magic to levitate the lasagnes into the dining room.
Making his way into the dining room, Harry's heart was racing a little. He was nervous and excited about this evening. It meant that he would be learning about Jasper's life. He knew it also meant that they would be learning about his life, maybe I should omit certain things? Harry thought as he walked through the doors.
"Hey everyone, sorry about the wait. My oven gloves had a hole in the finger and I burned it." He said as he set the lasagnes on the table, Luna set the garlic bread straight after. Harry tried to sit in the seat at the head of the table, only to turn and find Luna sitting there already, grinning. He squinted his eyes a little in suspicion before resolving to just sit in his new seat. He soon blushed a little when he saw that it would be directly opposite Jasper. He looked at Luna to see her and Alice giggling. Looking up, Harry caught Jasper's eye and forgot himself for a moment.
"THat's perfectly alright. Is your finger better?" Jasper asked and it took Harry a few seconds to gather himself enough to answer. All the while, Teddy, Luna, Alice and Rose were giggling, while the other men were smirking.
"Umm, yes, thank you." He replied. "Right. Luna, did you put the potions on the food yet?" Harry asked. Luna shook her head. "Alrighty then." He said before he picked up a phial, popped the cork, and started to pour the potion all over the food. "This, is the potion that I used in the cookies. Because of the amount of food and potion used, a normal meal portion should be the equivalent of draining a sheep. Hope you all enjoy." Harry said with a smile as he finished pouring the potion. He then looked at their stil full glasses and smiled. "The champagne is also suitable for vampires too. Please, try it." He said with a smile.
The Cullens all tentatively took a sip of the champagne and were pleasantly surprised when they could taste both the wine and the blood.
"How?" Edward asked in shock.
"It's a creation of two of our friends back home. It's called vampchamp - not very original I know." He paused, chuckling. "They wanted their store to be available for all magical creatures so they invented vampchamp and bloodpops to cater to the vampire community." Harry explained as the Cullens drank more.
"Bloody brilliant they are too." Luna commented. "Please everyone, dig in!" Luna smiled as the food started to portion itself among the guests. Just like the cookies and the vampchamp, the Cullens were all amazed at the taste of human food again. The room was almost silent as they ate, Emmett clearing his plate first.
"My god that was delicious!" He called as he wiped his mouth on the napkin provided. Teddy giggled and he saw the Emmett hadn't quite got the mess on his chin. "What are you laughing at, little man?" He asked.
"You missed a bit!" Teddy giggled as he pointed to his chin. Emmett looked abashed and wiped his whole face. "You silly." Teddy said with a grin. Emmett made a goofy face which had the boy in hysterics. Rosalie looked on fondly.
Soon enough, dinner had been eaten and enjoyed and Harry started to clear the table.
"I'll help." Jasper muttered, taking the main dishes in his hands before following Harry into the kitchen. Neither of them saw, but they were aware, of their families' grinning behind them.
"Thanks." Harry muttered as they set down the plates.
"You're welcome." Jasper replied in his southern drawl. "Can I help with anything?" Jasper asked.
"Umm, you could grab the chocolate brownies from the fridge? I'm just going to set the dishes in the dishwasher." Harry said with a smile, happy that they had now spoken more than three words to each other. Progress.
"Shall we?" Jasper asked with a smirk. Harry smiled and nodded before walking back into the living room where everyone had gathered. Get it together Harry, master of death and still blushes, Harry thought as they entered the living room. Everyone was already seated when they got there, leaving an open two-seater sofa available. Harry shot his sister a glare and she pretended she didn't notice.
Taking his seat next to Jasper, Harry sat forward.
"So, we know that you have questions, and you are more than welcome to ask them. I'd just ask that you wait until you've heard our story. Mine is very long, so how do you want to do this?" Harry asked, looking at the Cullens.
"We will go first, if that is alright with you?" Carlisle asked. Harry and Luna nodded. "Okay, I'll start." He said before beginning his story.
"I was born in a little English village just outside of London in the 1640s to an Anglican pastor and his wife. I don't remember much of my human life, just that my father was obsessed with finding and destroying dark creatures like vampires, witches and werewolves. He led many hunts on where he suspected these creatures to live and never truly found any dark creatures. Of course, this was in a time when just suspicion and accusation of being a witch could get you burnt at the stake. When I was old enough, I had been tasked by my father to lead the hunt on a vampire coven said to live in a particularly questionable part of town. I had no idea that he had actually been given the tip of a real vampire coven.
"I led the group to the area the vampires were said to be and we were ambushed. We were attacked and I was hit over the head as one of them ran by me. I woke up some time later, somehow still alive, and found myself outside a barn. As I went to stand to go back into the village, something grabbed me and pulled me back. I felt the fire rushing through me before I even realised what was happening. I don't know why the vampire didn't just drain me dry, all I know is that I somehow managed to get myself to a compost pit and hid among the rotting potatoes while the fire raged inside of me.
"Sometime later, I 'woke up' to find that I was somehow alive. I knew what I was now and I knew that I could never go back home. I ran my way through the British countryside, doing my best to stay away from other human. I refused to become a monster, I refused to take a human life. I hadn't had a drop of blood since I first woke up, something that was very hard to do and very much against the nature of a vampire, especially a newborn. One day, I was walking through a field and happened upon a cow and something in me snapped. I fed off the cow until it was dry and did the same again, and again. It wasn't until the fourth cow was dead that I had enough control to stop myself. It was then that I realised that I could survive on animal blood and never have to kill a human. So on I went.
"I spent a number of decades on my own and the loneliness was weighing on me until I came across the Volturi. Aro, Caius and Marcus welcomed me into their coven mostly out of curiosity I think. They had never known of a vampire who abstained from drinking human blood. Try as they might, they could never convince me to join in their ritual drinking of humans, and after a decade or two, I chose to leave."
Carlisle paused which gave enough time for Harry to ask a question.
"The Volturi don't just allow its members to leave, how did you manage to just walk away?" Harry asked very confused. Carlisle smirked.
"Aro and I grew quite close and Aro felt comfortable enough with me that he spilled a lot of his secrets. One of them being that he and Caius plotted to kill Marcus' wife to ensure that Marcus wouldn't leave them. Both Aro and Caius knew that having this knowledge was part of why I chose to leave. I didn't want to be a part of their coven knowing what I knew. So, they allowed me to leave." Carlisle explained.
"So on I went. I was on my own for another two centuries until I met Esme. Of course, at the time, she was but a child and I knew it could never happen. That, and I refused to kill a child or human for my own personal need. So I waited. In the time between the Volturi and meeting my family, I decided to master the ability to refrain from blood so that I could follow my aspiration of becoming a doctor. I have been a practicing doctor for just over two centuries now and this is how I met both Esme and Edward.
"Edward was the first person that I had bitten and turned into a vampire and it was at the request of his mother. Then came Esme, Rosalie, Emmett, and then finally Alice and Jasper. But their stories are theirs to tell." Carlisle finished, his children smiling at him while his wife held his hand. Harry and Luna smiled.
"Thank you Carlisle. Your story is incredible." Luna smiled sweetly. Carlisle smiled back and nodded towards Edward.
"I guess this is where I should start. I was seventeen years old when the Spanish Influenza hit Chicago in 1918. Both of my parents were sick in the hospital and I soon joined them. My older brother had already passed from the disease when I started having symptoms. I had always been good at reading people, so when the doctor tried to hide that I would die from the same virus as my brother and father, I knew that he was lying to me. I was on the bed next to my mother within the week and all I remember was fading in and out, every now and then I would see Carlisle's face. I didn't know why or how, but he kept on whispering that he could save me if I gave him permission. After I turned, he told me that my mother had asked him to save me at all costs.
"At first, I found it hard to control my thirst. I didn't want to be this monster but I knew that it was something that I craved. After Esme had joined us, I needed to get away. I didn't want to see Carlisle happy while I was miserable as a vampire. I wanted to rebel and be what I was. And so started my rebellious decade. I hated Carlisle for some time for turning me into something and then forcing me to resist my new nature, so I left and went on my own for some time. I wanted to feel like I was still a good person, so when I hunted, it was only murderers, rapists and abusers that I would kill. I told myself that I was making the world a better place by killing them, that they wouldn't be able to harm anybody else if I killed them. But I soon realised that it made me just as bad as them, because now I was a killer - a monster.
"I went back to Carlisle and Esme and begged them to forgive me and of course, they did. It took me a long time forgive myself, and even now I haven't fully forgiven myself. I often think that I don't deserve the happiness that I've found in this life -"
"And then I slap you and tell you that you do deserve it." Alice butted in with a grin causing Edward to smile.
"Yes, and they come in and tell me that I do deserve it. Esme was next into the family." Edward finished, looking towards his mother.
"Well, mine is rather short and sweet. The only thing I remember from my human life was my name, and that I had had a miscarriage and tried to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff. It almost worked too. I was already in the morgue when Carlisle found me. I was labelled as a Jane Doe, but Carlisle recognised me from when I broke my leg as a child. I remember waking up from turning and that is when Carlisle started to formally court me. Edward was always sweet about it, but I knew that he felt a little betrayed by Carlisle for bringing me into their life. It wasn't until the end of the second world war that we thought Edward may find someone in the same way that Carlisle had found me. And that is when Rose joined the family." Esme explained, looking towards her daughter with a small smile. She knew this was going to be hard for her.
"Well, where do I start in the story of my life. Umm, I had everything that I ever wanted. I was the spoiled rich girl who was popular, had the most handsome man in town on her arm, and on the outside had the perfect life. My life was a picture perfect postcard for 1946." She started with scorn in her voice. "Please forgive me if I don't include every little detail, it's not that I don't trust you - though that is part of it - it is because I don't wish to relive them." Rose explained as Teddy sat in her lap.
"It's okay Miss Rosie, I hold your hand." Teddy said sweetly, blushing scarlet when she hugged him close.
"My own little protector huh? Em's gonna have to move out I think, I have my new man here." Rose chuckled as Emmett mock scowled at Teddy who giggled. "Right, so, as I said, picture perfect life. The one thing I didn't have that I wanted more than anything, was a baby. My best friend had recently given birth to the most adorable baby boy. He had dark curly hairs starting to form on his head, and the cutest little dimples in his cheeks. I was visiting her for the evening and when it came time to leave, it was darker than I had thought. As I was walking home, I bumped into my fiance and his friends. It was a week before our wedding day and he had been out drinking with his friends. He saw me and called me over, wanting to show me off some more to his buddies. I just wanted to go home, so after saying hi I started walking away." Rosalie got quite choked up at this point in her story. Harry looked around and saw the pity and sadness and anger on her family's faces. He could tell that he wasn't going to like what was said next.
"As I turned, one of my fiance's friends grabbed my hair and pulled me back. He pulled so hard that he ripped chunks of my hair out and cause some pins in my hair to pierce my scalp. I turned to my fiance, hoping he would do something, but he was just smiling, encouraging them to go on. I'll spare you the details, but I was left on the road in an alley, dress ripped so much that there was barely any material covering me, and I was bleeding out. All I remember is Carlisle lifting me and then the pain of turning." Rose stopped. She looked as though she could shed a tear at any moment. Harry shed them for her, wiping it away before anyone could see, though they definitely smelt the saltiness from his face.
"I first woke up surrounded by Esme and Edward and I panicked. It wasn't until I saw Carlisle that I calmed down actually. He always had a calming presence." She smiled looking to her father figure. "After I had gotten used to my new way of life, it was clear to see that Carlisle and Esme were hoping that Edward and I would become mates." Here she chuckled, as did Edward. "We hated each other. Oh my god did we argue! They quickly gave up on that hope." She laughed, Esme, Carlisle and Edward joining in. "but there was one thing that Edward and I could agree on, and that was that my ex-fiance and his friends needed to pay. So I decided to go full on drama queen." She grinned.
"Because that wasn't you all the time anyways?" Edward smirked. Rose scoffed before continuing.
"I tracked down all of his friends and killed them in a very brutal way that I'm not going into because there are little ears present." She said patting Teddy on the head. "And then when it came time for me to find Royce, I knew what I wanted to do. He knew that something or someone had been going after his friends and being the superstitious guy that he was, he thought it was my ghost haunting them and causing his friends to die these horrible deaths - thank you Edward, for letting me in on that little nugget of information." She stopped as Edward chuckled. "So I put on what was to be my wedding gown, did my make-up, put my vail on, everything. I went to his house and scared the living crap out of him. He died believing that I was a ghost and not real and I finally felt at peace with my new life. Through all of their deaths, and since, I have never tasted human blood." Rosalie finished, very proud of herself. Harry and Luna smiled back at her and they were honored that she shared as much as she had.
"Thank you for sharing that with us Rose. I know how hard that can be." Harry smiled at her. Rose smiled back and then Emmett piped up.
"Well I guess it's my turn!" He shouted, very excitedly. "I don't remember much from my human life, only that I loved hunting. I would try and pick fights with the biggest and baddest animals out there and for the most part I won. I was born in the fifties and was 23 when I was turned. I was out hiking, and came across this grizzly bear. It was huge, biggest I had ever seen, so of course, I was like - Challenge accepted!" He boasted, to the amusement of his family and giggles of Teddy. "I finally realised that I chose the wrong bear to wrestle with and soon I was bleeding out from a claw to the throat. I don't know where she came from or how she managed it, but Rose found me. She somehow managed to run with me bleeding out, over a hundred miles to get me to Carlisle before I bled out. When I woke up, she was by my bedside, stroking my hair when it clicked that she was my mate." Emmett finished with a grin, everyone smiling at how totally in love they were with each other.
"Oh oh! It's me next!" Alice chimed in with excitement. "I'll be super short and sweet though!" Alice said with a grin. "I remember absolutely nothing of my human life. All I know is that one day I woke up as a vampire and saw a vision of drinking animals rather than humans. I tried it, found it was okay and then I had another vision of meeting Jasper and the pair of us joining the Cullens and becoming part of the family. So, I found Jasper in a diner and we both joined the Cullens. It was made a lot easier by Edward figuring out that I was his mate. And here we are!" She finished with a giggle. Luna smiled at her before turning her eyes towards Jasper.
"I guess it's my turn." He drawled. He heard Harry catch his breath at the sound of his voice, making his lips twitch into a small half-smile. "I actually remember a lot of my human life, nothing too specific, but just enough to remember who I was. I was born Jasper Montgomery Whitlock in 1844, Houston, Texas. My family owned the Whitlock plantation and I am now ashamed to admit it but my family owned slaves. I could sugar coat it and tell you how well treated they were, and that despite being slaves, were part of our family, but even though it was true, they were still slaves. When the civil war started in 1861, I was only seventeen years old, which was too young to join the army. So I lied about my age and joined anyway." He stopped because of the chuckles coming from both his family and Harry. He relished in the sound coming from Harry before continuing.
"After a year in the Confederate Army, I had the rank of Major - the youngest Major in the Confederate army. I was proud of myself for getting that far so young. Of course, nobody knew I was that young. Acting on orders from my superiors, I was helping move some refugees from what was soon to be a battleground. I stayed behind to make sure that everyone had left when I came upon three women." He scoffed here.
"I thought that they were stragglers from the last group heading further west. They asked me for help, so I got down from my horse and went to help them. That was when things got weird. The eldest, Maria, pulled me towards her and asked me my name.
'Major Jasper Whitlock of the Confederacy, Ma'am.' Jasper said, tilting his hat to them. Maria smiled at him.
'Surely, you're too young to be a Major?' She asked coyly. Jasper not being familiar with women and their ideas of flirting, he stuck with the truth.
'No Ma'am, I was promoted due to my strengths in strategy and tactics. Can I help you ladies find your way?' He asked, finding their eyes uncomfortable to look at. He knew he must be seeing things as he could've sworn their eyes were red. Maria giggled.
'Oh no, my dear. You will do perfectly.' She said before she pulled him towards her and began kissing him. Jasper, knowing that it was rude to push a lady away, kissed her back. It had been some time since he had felt the comforting touch of a woman. While kissing her, he failed to notice that they were moving down the hill towards a cave. Maria stopped kissing him for a second, 'Oh yes, you will do just fine.' She smiled before she lunged at him. Jasper felt pain like never before and collapsed to the ground as Maria pulled away from his neck.
"I don't know what happened while I was turning, but when I woke up I felt so many different emotions that I didn't know which were mine." Jasper stopped a moment to collect himself, Harry placing his hand on his shoulder in a show of comfort and support.
"Of course, as soon as I was coherent again after feeding, Maria told me that I was her mate and that my only purpose was to do as she asked without question so that we could be together forever. At the time, I didn't even think to question her until a few years down the line. Maria was part of the vampire wars of the south and she had one of the fiercest armies of them all. It was made up of newborns who, after they won her a battle and lost their strength after a few years, were destroyed and new ones created. I was the one chosen for that delightful task." Jasper snarled.
"I met a man called Peter and he managed to escape with his mate, Charlotte. They begged me to come with them, knowing that I hated destroying newborns, especially being an empath. But I stayed, because I thought Maria was my mate. It wasn't until I overheard her with another member of her army, claiming that he was her mate and that I was the one thing standing in their way from being together. I knew then, that she was plotting to get rid of me like I had so many others. That night, I found Maria and her actual mate and ripped them to pieces. After destroying them both, I went off to find Peter and Charlotte. I stayed with them for a number of years before I couldn't take it anymore. Knowing the feelings of the humans I was feeding from, made me hate myself so I left them. I had been on my own for a month or two when Alice found me in a diner and convinced me to go with her." He smiled, looking to his sister and best friend. "I was very wary of her at first, thinking that she would be another Maria, trying to use me for her own end. But she was very convincing. She told me that we would find out true mates and be happy with the Cullens. They were, of course, worried about taking me in and at first I struggled with the new diet. I found that having so many vampires' bloodlust piling onto my own was too much sometimes, and I would slip up. But they welcomed me anyway. Allowed me to be part of their family even though I had no mate. I had a family again." He finished with a smile towards his family.
Harry and Luna both smiled at him when he looked towards them. They knew how important family was so they understood to an extent.
"Thank you, for sharing that with us. I know it can't have been easy to do so." Luna said comfortingly while Harry nodded. Jasper looked at Harry and smiled.
"I do believe it is our turn next, but first I need to put this little one to bed. He is out like a light." Harry chuckled.
"I can take him." Rose offered with a smile. "He's already laying on me anyway. Which way to his room?" She asked.
"Are you sure?" Harry asked, only for Rosalie to nod with a smile as she picked up the sleeping child. "Top floor, middle room. His door has his name on it." Harry explained with a smile.
"Okay, you guys continue, I'll still be able to hear everything." Rose whispered as she made her way to the stairs. Luna and Harry nodded, both watching until their godson was out of their eye line.
"Well, I guess before we start our story, there are a few people you need to meet - they may be able to fill in some blanks if I forget some things." Harry muttered with a smile. The Cullens looked at each other in confusion, as far as they were aware there were only three humans in the house. "Just, don't freak out when they appear." Harry pleaded. When the Cullens nodded, Harry looked to Luna as if to say, is this a good idea? Only for her to nod with a grin. "Guys, could you all come to the living room please?" Harry called out, knowing that they would all hear.
"He is a little coocoo…" Emmett muttered under his breath towards Edward who just chuckled a little. Alice was almost bouncing with excitement, and Edward, having seen what was about to happen, was already prepared for his family's reaction.
Soon enough, Harry noticed that everyone was there now, even Rose had made her way downstairs again after putting Teddy to bed. He noticed Tonks and Moony looking at her with fond smiles which made him happy.
"Right, well. Vampires Harry? Really?" Hermione asked with a sigh. Hearing another human voice made the vampires jump. Looking around, they could not see another human, checking their senses again, there wasn't another human heartbeat in the house.
"Really mate, you aren't half a magnet for trouble," Ron chuckled, wincing a little when Hermione elbowed him in the side. This made Harry blush a little as he looked up at his best friends.
"Ron's right son, taking after your old man now," James said with a grin while Lilly scoffed and nudged him.
"Come on Prongs, we got up to some right old tricks, but I don't think we ever made friends with a coven of vampires," Sirius butted in.
"Harry, sweetheart, I believe some introductions are in order?" Lilly asked, her arms folded as she stood next to Hermione.
"Yes mum. Right, so Cullen family, meet my family." Harry said pointing to the painting. Everyone, other than Alice and Edward who were too busy laughing at their family's reactions, were staring slack jawed at the picture frame hanging on the wall.
"It's a painting…" Emmett muttered.
"Yes." Luna deadpanned.
"It's talking…" He continued.
"Yup." Luna popped.
"It's a talking painting…" Emmett uttered, completely baffled.
"Honestly mate, you'd think they'd be a bit smarter being alive for so long." Ron commented, cousin Hermione to elbow him once more.
"Outstanding." Carlisle murmured, completely mesmerised by the painting.
"Tonks and Moony not joining you?" Harry asked.
"They are watching over Teddy until you are back up there with him, darling," Lilly said, causing Harry to nod in understanding.
"Right well - This is my mother, Lilly, father, James, godfather, Sirius, and my best friends, Hermione and Ron." Harry said, pointing to each of the people in the painting. "Lulu, where're your parents?" Harry asked, turning to her.
"Mummy and Daddy decided not to join us tonight. They don't like coming out too much. I blame the the juju." Luna said airily.
"Okay then. Guys, this is the Cullen family. The parental figures, Esme and Carlisle, and their adoptive children - Edward and Alice who are mated, Rosalie and Emmett who are also mated, and finally Jasper." Harry said, smiling towards Jasper, something which his mother and best friend, certainly picked up.
"Oh well they are all a very good looking family. It's a pleasure to meet you all!" Lilly said with a wink - that everyone saw - towards Harry, who looked down as a blush came over his face.
Alice and Edward smirked towards each other, Told you Harry likes Jazzy, Alice thought towards Edward, who just chuckled and kissed the top of her head.
"Okay, on with the story I guess." Harry said and cleared his throat.
"I was born on the 31st July, 1981 to James and Lilly Potter. I had two of the best godfather's a boy could ask for, in Sirius and Remus. Before I was born, there was a prophecy made, a prophecy that I didn't know the full extent of until much later, thanks to Dumbledore. At the time, the Wizarding world was being ravaged by a group of dark wizards led by Lord Voldemort -" Harry paused.
"Voldemort, really?" Emmett asked, causing some chuckles from the rest of the family.
"Yes, Voldemort. He was the most feared wizard of the time and rumoured to be scared of only one person, Albus Dumbeldore, the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Voldemort had someone in his inner circle who heard some of the prophecy as it was created and they went to Voldemort and told him. But he only heard half of it." Harry stopped to take a sip of water, Hermione not even admonishing him for using a spell rather than a tap. He contemplated what he was going to say next and decided that they needed to know. "The Death Eater who overheard half of the prophecy and told Voldemort, very quickly became a double agent when he found out who the Dark Lord was going to target to fulfill the prophecy. His performance as a spy was very convincing, and I only found out whose side he was on in the final battle, and Snape was Dumbledore's man from the moment he was aware that Voldemort would be going after the woman he loved and her family." Here Harry stopped as he heard the shocked gasp from Lilly and the disgusted voices of Sirius and his father. Hermione and Ron knew this already, however, as they didn't fall until after Snape had died.
"That foul, stinking, snivelling -" Sirius began, only for Lily to slap him.
"Sirius!" He called, causing everyone to turn to him when they had previously been fixated on the painting and their reactions. "Snape may have been a bully and an absolute twat of man, but I will firstly not have you speak ill of the dead here, and secondly, he was a goddamn hero in the end. Everything that he did after that night, he did for the protection of me, of Lily's child. Do I hate him? Parts of him, yes. But I respect him and admire him for the role that he played during the war." Harry commented, thinking on the dour potions master of his school days. Jasper could feel the respect and loathing that Harry had for the Snape man and was very confused by it.
"So you're telling me that if Voldy had decided to go after Neville he would've still switched sides?" James asked, disgusted.
"No, because if we are all being honest, the only reason why he switched sides is because he felt himself still in love with mum. If it was Neville, I don't know if anything would've changed in him, all I know is that he changed because it was me, and we were far better off that he did." Harry explained, exasperated at the turn the conversation had taken. "Now, back to the story?" Harry asked. At everyone's reluctant nod, Harry continued.
"Alright, so after Voldemort was told of the prophecy, Snape went to Dumbledore and told him that it was Lilly and James' son that he would be going after due to the fact that I had more in common with him than Neville." Harry paused again. "Blood status is a huge thing in the wizarding world and many are looked down upon due to their blood status. Anyone who does not have magical ancestors past a grandparent on both sides of the family, is not considered Pureblood. I'm a halfblood, my mum was a muggleborn witch and my dad was a pureblood wizard. Ron is a pureblood, as are Luna and Sirius. Tonks and Remus are both halfbloods, and Hermione is a muggleborn. A muggleborn is someone who is magical, born to non-magical parents." Harry explained, trying to make it as simplistic as possible due to the confused looks on Emmett and Jasper's faces.
"So Voldemort believed that anyone who was not pureblood, didn't deserve to have magic, or be at the same station as those with pureblood, and a lot of the old families agreed with this. But here is the kicker - Voldemort himself was a halfblood wizard who went to Hogwarts as Tom Marvolo Riddle." Harry waiting for the theatrical gasps only for there to almost be a criquets sound going through his head as nobody reacted to that. "Seriously?" He asked. "No reaction at all? The guy was a halfblood himself, preaching that anyone less than pure should not learn or have magic." Harry said, which actually got a reaction. He rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, Voldy heard the prophecy and decided to come after me. To kill me." Harry continued, stopping once again when he heard a growl from next to him. He turned to Jasper and smiled slightly, Lilly and Hermione seeing this and grinning. "Obviously, he didn't manage it." He said, almost entirely to Jasper who seemed to calm down. "In fact, when he came to Godrick's Hollow on halloween night, it was to his end -"
"Temporary end." Ron butted in, causing everyone to look at him. He shrugged, "It's true!" He defended. Luna and Hermione sighed in amusement.
"Temporary end. Dad tried to hold him off for as long as possible but he didn't have his wand on him at the time. Mum pleaded with him to kill her instead even after he offered her the choice of her living for me to die. She refused and so he killed her. He then turned his wand on me. He fired the killing curse and it rebounded and hit him instead."
"Harry, how could you know all of that?" Lilly whispered, shocked that her baby had heard her final moments. Harry looked up sadly to his mother.
"Dementors make you relive your worst memory when they get near you. I now understand that it was two people's worst memory which is why it is so vivid, but I'll get onto it later." Harry muttered. "So, Voldemort was seemingly dead and I was an orphan. My godfather, Sirius, he figured that we had been betrayed and came to find Godrick's Hollow in ruins." Harry stopped, looking to Sirius.
"It was awful pup. I found James first and then Lilly and I thought all was lost. Then I heard you crying in your crib. I wanted to take you with me Harry, you've got to believe me. I tried to get Hagrid to let me take you, I really did." Sirius pleaded, Harry nodded knowing it was the truth.
"I know Pads. Dumbledore had given Hagrid orders though, and despite his flaws, Hagrid was loyal to a fault." Harry chuckled. "I grew up under the care of my mum's sister and her family. I spent the next ten years of my life, not knowing who I was or knowing anything about my parents other than they died in a car crash." Harry scoffed as he said it.
"So we just skipping over the way they treated you then Harry?" Hermione asked, folding her arms.
"Hermione -"
"No, Harry. They treated you horribly! You were no better than a house elf to them!" She protested.
"It wasn't that bad -"
"Cat flap on your bedroom door -" Hermione said.
"Bars on your window summer before second year -" Ron piped in.
"Making you do all of the cooking and cleaning -" Hermione added.
"Punishing you for no reason at all -" Ron commented.
"Cupboard under the stairs. That's how your first Hogwarts letter was addressed. You told me after the troll incident." Hermione said softly. "They treated you horribly and you know it."
"They kept a roof over my head, and considering how Ron acted with the horcrux, are you surprised at how they treated me?" Harry cut in, giving his best friends the awful reminder that he had a piece of Voldemort inside of him since that fateful halloween night.
"They sound like awful people, treating a child like that!" Rose scowled. "A child is something to be cherished, not abused like that. Ughh, people like that make me want to drink people." She continued as Edward chuckled a little. Carlisle and Esme frowned towards their daughter.
"They were dreadful." Lilly commented. "They were, and they had better hope that they don't die anytime soon or they will have me to deal with." She frowned. Harry and James chuckled.
"So, I went to Hogwarts and met these two idiots and at first Ron did not like Hermione at all," Harry continued, pointing to Ron and Hermione as he did so.
"We got up to all sorts, mate! Trolls, giant chess boards, basilisks, everything!" Ron gushed in excitement. Harry raised an eyebrow to him and chuckled. "Shutting up now."
"We did get up to a lot and we learned a lot too. Like in second year, I found out I was a parslemouth, meaning I can talk to snakes. In third year, Sirius escaped from Azkaban prison to go after the real traitor of my parents - though everyone thought that you were after me -"
"Only the idiots thought that I was after you pup," Sirius laughed.
"You were so dramatic that night, 'Only one will die tonight', I mean come on?! How did you think that was going to sound?" Ron asked while doing a great impression of Sirius.
"You got me there mate," Sirius conceded.
"Fourth year was when things really began to happen though. The Triwizard Tournament was brought back and even though you had to be 17 to enter and only one champion per school, I was somehow selected as a fourth champion under a fourth school. Did not enjoy that year." Harry said, scowling towards Ron.
"Yeah, sorry bout that mate." Ron said bashfully.
"Hmm. Anyway, I went into the tasks, battle a dragon, merpeople, the usual, and then the final task came round and it ended with me and Cedric, the actual Hogwarts Champion." Harry paused here. He always got more emotional about Cedric's death than any others because it was the first death that he was aware of, of the war. "That was the night that Voldemort was resurrected and the second wizarding war truly began."
"I'm sorry, but I thought you said that he died?" Carlisle asked, confused.
"That is where his horcruxes come in. You see, Tom Riddle had an obsession with immortality and wanted to achieve it no matter the cost. He decided on using Horcruxes, one of the darkest pieces of magic known to modern society. A horcrux is created by splitting your soul in half after murdering someone, and placing half of that soul into an object." Harry explained.
"So, Voldemort had one of these Horcruxes?" Edward asked.
"No. He didn't have one. He had seven." Harry deadpanned, causing some gasps. "He had Slytherin's locket, Hufflepuff's Cup, Raveclaw's Diadem, his diary, the Gaunt ring, Nagini, and me." Harry finished. Waiting for the eruption from both his parents and godfather, only to find that the Cullen's had very strong reactions also, Jasper the strongest of all.
"You had a piece of that demon's soul inside of you?!" Jasper asked, furious. Harry nodded.
"It is why the dementors affect me more. I had two souls inside of me, both with the same worst memory of mum dying because that is what made the curse rebound. Mum sacrificed herself for me, that created a protection spell around me so strong that it rebounded the killing curse. It's why I can speak to snakes and why mine and Voldemort's and my wands had twin cores. He chose me because I'm halfblooded, like him. In the end, it had to be me who ended him. 'The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies...' That is the prophecy that destroyed my family." Harry finished, walking into the kitchen to grab something to eat. He found that telling this story was a lot more draining than he had originally thought it would be. Finishing his cookie, he wandered back to the living room, taking his place by Jasper's side.
"Sorry about that, I find it all a little bit emotionally draining. Forgive me." Harry said.
"Nothing to forgive, darlin'," Jasper said in his southern drawl. Harry sighed a little before looking around the room and deciding to just get it over and done with.
"Right, best finish the story so that you can all go home." Harry muttered while taking a sip of water.
"Harry James Potter you cannot just brush over the fact that you had a piece of that monster inside of you! Did Dumbledore know about this?" Lilly asked, furious at the thought. When Harry just looked down rather that at her, Lilly knew. "He did, didn't he?" She asked softly.
"He told me that he suspected, but wasn't sure until I got the memory from Slughorn where he told Tom about them." Harry mentioned, rubbing his face. "And even then, he didn't tell me before he died. I found out from Snape's memories of all things." Harry scoffed. Jasper placed his hand on Harry's back in comfort, Harry smiled at him in thanks. "So after Cedric died, I ended up winning the tournament. I didn't want to keep the prize money, and Amos wouldn't take it, so I invested in a couple of friend's and their store. Best idea ever." Harry grinned, looking towards the painting to see Ron and Hermione looking proud. "It's still going strong, Ron, all these years and it is still one of the busiest stores in Diagon and Hogsmede. They may even open a store over here," Harry smiled.
"Bloody brilliant," Ron grinned, causing Harry and Luna to chuckle.
"So, then a lot of shit went down. Got arrested for casting the patronus on some dementors who were attacking me and Dudley, got acquitted, had an evil pink bitch for a DADA professor, got banned from quidditch, taught whoever wanted to be taught in the DA, got found out by said evil pink bitch, flew to the Ministry to save Sirius who wasn't there, only for him to be killed by his psycho cousin." Harry had to pause again, the emotions of that day still hard to process.
"It's alright pup, I went down on my terms, fighting for you - protecting you. I did what any godfather should do," Sirius smiled, Lilly hugging him in thanks. Harry sniffed.
"Doesn't make it hurt less Pads." He muttered, knowing that they could all hear him.
"I know. But that's why you have to live enough for the pair of us," Sirius finished causing Harry to chuckle. Luna decided to continue the story from then on.
"After your fifth year, you kind of went off on your own for a while. I blame the nargles for making your mind all fuzzy when it came to Draco." She smiled as she saw Jasper stiffen up. "He went through a lot that year, but I'm so glad he and Astoria are doing better and saw the light. He was never a bad guy, just someone who was led down the wrong path. But we can blame Voldie and Lucius for that." She continued, enjoying the way Jasper loosened up when she mentioned Draco and his wife. "Of course, that was also the year that Dumbledore was murdered by Professor Snape. The snorlack pixies made sure that he did as Dumbledore asked, what with him slowly dying from the curse on the Gaunt ring and all. Albus knew that his time was coming, so he asked for it instead. I think that is when everything truly changed." Luna commented. "When you three didn't return to school the next year, we all knew the end was coming. Death Eaters were practically running the school now. So many muggleborns didn't come back and those who did were tortured horribly. There was a taboo put on his name because he knew that only those close to Harry or Harry himself would dare to use his real name. I don't know much of what happened with you three, but I know what happened in school after you rescued me." Luna paused, her eyes turning sad for the first time in a while.
"What did you need rescuing from?" Esme asked.
"Just before I was supposed to get the train back to school, Death Eaters turned up to my house and took me in for questioning. I didn't know that I was in Malfoy Manor until You three were captured. Mr Olivander kept me company, though we both had our own fair share of torture." Luna continued, the usual airiness to her voice, gone.
"But why?" Alice asked.
"Because she was close friends with me." Harry said sadly. "And I will hate myself forever for what happened to you Lulu."
"Oh don't be silly Harry, there was nothing to forgive. I chose to refrain from telling them anything, not that I knew a lot to begin with. I won't have you blaming yourself for it again when I've only just gotten you to stop." Luna said strongly.
"Sorry Lulu." He chuckled. "While everyone went back to Hogwarts, I decided to go searching for the remaining Horcruxes. Of course, Hermione and Ron demanded they come with and wouldn't take no for an answer. So off we went. No real plan other than to find them. I knew that two were already destroyed, the diary in second year and the ring that cursed Dumbledore. Of course, we didn't have a clue what the others were or how to find them, so it was hit and miss. We managed to get one and destroyed it, but then we were caught by snatchers." Harry growled, which was surprisingly mimicked by Jasper, something that didn't go unnoticed by the other vampires and Luna. "They took us back to Malfoy Manor where they were going to call Voldemort. I thought it would be obvious that they would torture me… it should've been me… I'm so sorry Mione," Harry sighed sadly, looking to his best friend.
"It wasn't your fault, so don't ever think it, Harry." Hermione said emphatically.
"Hearing Hermione screaming, killed a bit of Ron and I. I don't know how long it went on for until ROn had a brain wave about Dobby." Harry reminisced, smiling slightly.
"Happened every so often, but not too often," Ron joked, causing everyone to chuckle slightly.
"We managed to escape thanks to Dobby, but he didn't make it. He was the bravest elf I knew." Harry smiled sadly. "I buried him outside Shell Cottage where he took us to and soon enough, the three of us had to leave and Luna had to get back to school. We ended up going to Gringotts because we thought it was weird that Bellatrix thought we had been in her vault. So, we cracked out the polyjuice, broke into Gringotts and escaped on the back of a dragon carrying a horcrux in the form of Hufflepuff's cup." Harry smiled at the looks of disbelief on the Cullens' faces. "We then decided that it would be best for us to go back to Hogwarts for what we assumed to be Ravenclaw's Diadem. Nobody had seen it in centuries apparently, but of course, Lulu isn't a Ravenclaw for nothing." Harry grinned.
"Yeah yeah," Luna responded laughingly.
"I remember you yelled at me!" Harry laughed, joining in with Luna's giggles. "It was the final battle, trying to find this thing that nobody had seen in centuries, and you yelled at me," he continued.
"Well you were going the wrong way!" Luna giggled, the rest of the group now seeing what was so funny. "I enjoyed it too," she said smugly.
"Yeah, I bet you did." Harry smiled. "And then the final battle happened. We found the diadem and destroyed it in the room of requirement. Ron and Hermione destroyed Hufflepuff's cup in the Chamber and then Voldemort called for a cease fire to last one hour." Harry scoffed. "He said it was to collect our dead with dignity, and to hand me over to him so that no more had to die." Harry smiled as he felt the vibrations of Jasper's growl once more. "It was at this time when he killed Snape and Snape gave me some memories to view which is when I learned everything. I found out I was a horcrux, everything that has happened was to help prepare me, to help me fulfil my destiny." Harry laughed scornfully. "After I finished the memories, I knew what I had to do. I gave one last request to Hermione and Ron, 'kill the snake', and then I went to my fate. I went to Voldemort, and he killed me." Harry finished.
"But clearly not, you're right here dude," Emmett stated, clearly confused.
"Yup. Apparently, Voldemort killed the part of him that was in me. I had two choices, go back to the land of the living and live out the rest of my life, or move on." Harry said. "Clearly, I chose to return and live my life. I waited for the right moment for me to make my move and I had no idea that it would come in the form of Neville Longbottom." Emmet guffawed at the name, causing Harry and Luna to scowl at him. Rose elbowed her husband in the ribs and muttered for him to behave.
"I remember, laying there in Hagrid's arms, waiting for the right moment… Neville was making a grand speech, showing just how true of a Gryffindor he is. He went for the snake with the Sword of Gryffindor and I used the moment of distraction to make my move."
"It was just the moral boost that we needed. Especially after losing so many," Luna piped in.
"Voldemort and I were battling and I knew how much destruction we were causing the castle. Hermione and ROn had their own duals with Death Eaters and they were so close to us, I don't even know what truly happened. I just remember hearing Hermione screaming and seeing Ron on the ground. Hermione was too distracted and I was too focussed on Voldemort to try and stop it… She got hit by a killing curse and -" Harry stopped, the emotion getting to be too much. Hermione had curled into Ron in their portrait and Jasper had placed his arm around Harry, offering as much comfort as possible. It took a few moments for Harry to gather himself.
"After they fell, I lost a part of myself. I didn't care anymore, they were the most important people in my life other than Teddy. I stopped using what were deemed to be light spells and I used the killing curse against Voldemort myself." Harry paused, hearing Hermione's gasp. "I ended it. Voldemort was dead and I didn't care. My whole life building up to this one pinnacle moment of my life, and I didn't care." Harry laughed. He quickly sobered up. "I don't know what happened in the days after the battle ended, I just remember Luna snapping me out of whatever funk I was in."
"You were also exhausted, Harry." Luna sighed with a smile.
"Yeah yeah, I know. It took weeks for all of the funeral preparations and rounding up the Death Eaters who escaped the battle. I helped where I could, determined to find the killers of my best friends. And I bloody managed it too. It was some random lowest rank death eater that had joined up for no other reason than he wanted to know what it felt like to kill." Harry explained, disgusted. "All who were captured and had any of the unforgivables on their wands were given the Kiss, the rest were given time in Azkaban." Harry said with a smile.
"What is the kiss?" Carlisle asked.
"It is performed by a dementor. They suck out your soul from your body, leaving you a husk before you eventually succumb to death." Lilly explained.
"Does it work on vampires?" Edward asked, genuinely curious.
"Of course, why?" Ron asked, genuinely confused by his question.
"Edward believes, for reasons unknown to man, that us vamps don't have souls." Alice said, making it clear that she does not believe a word of it.
"Edward, I've seen a being without a soul - watched as souls leave the body… you have a soul, don't ever doubt it." Harry said, looking at Edward and showing him the images of Lucius Malfoy getting the Kiss. When he saw Edward shudder, he lowered his gaze.
"After the war ended, we started to rebuild Hogwarts, it took a lot of damage in the battle and it took a lot of people to rebuild. I got to know Teddy and came to love him like my own son," Harry smiled. "I asked Luna to move in and five years later, we moved here. All caught up," Harry finished with a smile.
The Cullens were all happy that storytime had finished, they needed time to process everything that they had heard that day. Jasper was thankful that Harry had shared as much as he had, and glad that he had Luna with him. He hoped that some day, he could be there for him too.
"I'm sure you have lots of questions, but I am exhausted and we are human, so sleep is necessary for us," Harry chuckled. "We should do this again so that I can answer your questions." He offered.
"That would be wonderful, thank you." Carlisle said with a smile, standing up with the rest of his family. "Shall we go?" Carlisle asked his family, motioning towards the door.
"Oh, let me just grab you some things from the kitchen!" Luna said, floating into the kitchen to grab the Cullens some bloodpops. The Cullens followed, all except one.
Jasper waited until his family were out of the room, not that it mattered much, before saying something to Harry.
"Would I be able to see you again soon?" Jasper asked, a small smile playing at the edge of his lips. Harry blushed a little but nodded.
"I'd like that. I have some of the pack coming to the shop tomorrow to help out with some things, you're more than welcome to join us?" Harry asked, knowing that Jasper would not be joining them.
"I doubt they would appreciate me crashing their party," Jasper drawled with a smirk. "But I'll definitely keep you in mind." He continued.
"My door is always open. We have war in common, Jasper, it'll be nice to have another person who understands some of what I went through." Harry responded with a smile.
"Jasper!" Called Edward from outside.
"Well, I best go. I'll see you around Harry," Jasper said with a smile, his eyes sparkling just that little bit extra as he heard Harry's heartbeat pick up pace.
"Yeah, see you around," Harry called as Jasper turned away to go back to his family. Suddenly, the quiet was pierced by Luna's giggling. Harry rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out.
"He is so cute! If he asks you on a date, you are saying yes." She declared as she used her wand to clean everything. "Anywho, I'm off to bed. I know today was hard for you so I'll not drag it out and neither should you. Go on, up to bed with you! I'll check in on Teddy." Luna finished, practically shoving Harry up the stairs.
"Alright, alright, I'm going Lulu!" Harry chuckled. Walking up the stairs, and entering his room, he said a quick goodnight to his parents and friends before collapsing on his bed. He hoped that the next day wouldn't be as exhausting, because he was excited to move on with his life. His last thought as he succumbed to sleep, he saw in his head golden eyes and golden hair, a small smirk pulling at the edge of the lips of one, Jasper Whitlock.
A/N: Aaaaaand that's it! This was quite a lengthy chapter and I feel like I rushed to the end a little but I also felt that this chapter was getting a little long. Hope you all enjoyed it and please let me know what you all think!
