A six-year-old was brutally murdered in the alleyway next to a famous restaurant. Their killer is not found. This should be the end of the story, but a certain puppet refuses to let the case die.

When Izuku is four, he meets a man on a bench. Kacchan says that he's just an imaginary friend, but Izuku isn't so sure. Not when his imaginary friend has a quirk, a history, a death, and a vendetta against someone named All for One.

Every Monday, at 8:08 pm, a young man with wild green curls drops by Sero's ice cream truck and gets a new order without fail. And every time, their interactions just get weirder and weirder. Weird enough to be concerning. Weird enough to make Sero believe that the man's secretly a dragon. Which is preposterous. And he's driving Sero mad.

The only thing brighter than Yuu that night is the red umbrella the two huddle underneath. It is then and only then, as Yuu laughs at him, that Yamikumo realizes they are friends.
