Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well. Here is my first Tokyo Revengers fanfic. Let me give you some warnings. There is NO rape in this fanfic, just mention of it in passing conversation. Violence, self-harm, abuse and character death is expected. This story is gonna hurt. At the moment there won't be any manga spoilers. I guess by the time I keep writing the anime will catch up to the manga. But I'd like to give a warning of MILD spoilers nothing that will spoil the story; mention or even appearances of characters you probably won't know yet. So, if you see someone you don't know and you don't wanna be spoiled refrain from researching; I know it's tempting! Story and character credits go to Ken Wakui; that mad man is a genius!

Tokyo Revengers: Empress of Japan

Chapter 1: Punishment

On the night of December 10th 2004 an incident occurred where 5 girls aged 15-16 years old were assaulted, attacked, raped and killed brutally via suffocation. The group of 5 boys around the same age left them for dead in an empty forest where there were no witnesses…or so they thought. On the early afternoon of 12th those same boys were kidnapped.

17th December 6:00am

Yuki slept peacefully and soundly in her single bed, cuddling a light brown teddy bear with a bell around its neck. Suddenly her alarm clock began ringing, jolting her out of a lovely slumber and sweet dream. The 15-year-old yawned, stretching out her arm to switch the clock off whilst groaning. She sat up from her bed rubbing her eyes and looked to her left, to open her curtains. The girl would peer outside her window every morning where she had an amazing view of Chiyoda City with the sun in the distance. Her violet orbs sparkled when she saw the magnificent sight, though she smiled sadly. The sun, it reminded her of someone who was, no, still is very dear to her, someone she could not even bear to think of without her heart aching. A person who still kept her heart trapped from others. The girl quickly shook her head and kicked the blankets out of bed.

"Can't keep doing this to myself!" She stated in a groggy manner and left her room. "Stop thinking about that selfish blond!"

She brushed her teeth and washed her face then did a skincare routine. When she was done, she looked up at herself the mirror whilst brushing her hair. The teenager had chestnut brown straight hair up to her waist with middle parting bangs framing her oval shaped face. She had medium toned skin with a golden undertone, rosy cheeks and full lips. Yuki had thick arched brows, with a beauty spot on her right lower cheek. She sported a diamond nose stud adhering to her school's one piercing rule. She had a slim physique and stood up at 5ft 6in; taller than other students.

Yuki went downstairs and entered her kitchen. She put on her apron over her pyjamas, tied her hair back and started preparing breakfast. It took her 30 minutes to make breakfast and set it on the table. She made two rice bowls with eggs, mushrooms and spinach and some fruits with a pot of green tea. Making breakfasts on mornings was something she did almost every day for the past year, which had to take some getting used to.

When she was done Yuki went back upstairs but stopped to look at two pictures. Her bright eyes mellowed down and a small tear fell down her cheek.

The first was a picture of her parents; before they got married. They looked like such a happy couple with her father hugging her mother from behind; both smiling so bright. Her mother, Ayaka was a beauty; with dark brown mid-length straight hair, fair skin and violet eyes. Her father, Sora was dashing, with neat wavy chestnut brown hair, grey eyes and medium toned skin. It was obvious that her and her sister inherited their looks from both her parents, but it was Yuki who had her father's height. Ayaka was an artist who loved painting plants and flowers and Sora worked as a mechanic for cars.

The next picture was of her sister, Sakura who was 10 years older than her. She was a great beauty too, with brown wavy hair, golden tanned skin and violet eyes, with a curvaceous build. The sisters both adored each other regardless of their age difference. The girl was a founding member of a motorbike gang as well as a florist in her late teens.

Yuki could remember only the best memories of Ayaka as she died from a malignant brain tumour when the girl was only 5. Then when she was 13, Sora died in a car accident. The loss of both her parents tore her apart. In the Autumn of 2003, Sakura was diagnosed with heart disease, after the sudden loss of her husband. It had affected her so much that every day she would have chest pains and shortness of breath. The doctor stated that it was a rare condition called broken heart syndrome. He said that it could be healed easily, treatment included going to therapy, going out, keeping yourself busy. But after her partner's death, Sakura developed severe anxiety and she gave up on living. And then in December that year, she died. In essence, Yuki had lost her family, but Sakura left something so special, that her younger sister could not give up on.

The young woman knocked on the door of a room at the opposite end of the hallway from her room. She opened the door and walked into a bedroom. A 6-year-old girl was sat on her bed yawning and stretching. Yuki couldn't help but smile at the little girl's messy hair and walked into the room.

"Good Morning, little Ume."

Ume was the daughter of Sakura Tsukino and her husband. She was the very person who kept Yuki going after losing her sister. When the little girl's mother died, Sakura was the one to take care of her as a mother figure. She comforted her, brushed her teeth, brushed her hair, bathed her, took her to school; everything. The amount of love Yuki had for her niece was infinite.

Sakura's little girl, was a cute little thing who looked more like her father than her mother, save from one thing. Ume's eyes were the same bright violet ones her mother and auntie had. The girl's hair was black and wavy ending at her shoulders with straight cut bangs. She had fair skin and a diamond shaped face with rosy cheeks and lips and thin dark eyebrows. She was shorter for her age at just 3ft but doctors said that she would likely be tall like her father.

"Yukiiiii!" The little girl whined whilst pouting. "Do I have to go to school?"

"Come on Ume, it's the last day. Just a couple more hours!" Yuki punched her fist in the air.

"But they'll feel like forever."

"Go and brush your teeth or else no Christmas presents." The brunette pointed at the door and her niece instantly zoomed out. She started laughing and exited the room to go to hers; that works every time.

The teenager took off her pyjamas and got changed into her school winter uniform; which was a long-sleeved white shirt, a navy fitted vest jumper and blazer with a royal blue striped ribbon at the neck, her pleated skirt matched her blazer with black shorts underneath, and navy knee high socks. She styled her hair in a subtle half up half down pigtails with red butterfly clips on the pigtails; a hairstyle she would wear during winter. She put on a light layer of mascara on with some lip balm. She then spritzed her favourite perfume on; a gift from her grandmother, Kenzo Flower. She got her brown bag and left her room.

When she checked up on her sister, she noticed her still struggling with her ribbon. She was dressed in a white long sleeve shirt, a dark blue pinafore skirt, white socks and a navy cardigan.

"I've got it." Yuki began tying her ribbon around her neck. "What hairstyle do you want today little lady?"

"Red ribbons with pigtails!"

"You've got it." Yuki brushed and tied her hair up. "Come on we need to eat breakfast before it gets cold."

They went downstairs and ate breakfast together. When they were done, Yuki cleared up and washed the dishes and Ume took out lunch from the fridge.

"I wonder what Soba made for us this time!" She sang whilst putting her lunch in their bags.

Yuki's maternal grandmother, Misaki had always taken care of them, especially more after Yuki's parents died. She was a 60-year-old woman with dark brown hair and a few strands of grey hair, wise violet eyes and pale skin with laugh lines and just minimal wrinkles. She looked young for her age, due to excellent skincare, a healthy diet, and daily exercise; something she would often tell Yuki and Ume to stick to. Grandma Misaki came from a rich family, but chose to make her own way in life, not relying on her families' riches. She could have settled down with a rich heir, but fell in love with someone who her parents disapproved of, so she ran away from home and lived independently since the age of 15. Now she works as an Executive Director of a very well-known Japanese company. Although she had a high position, she'd have to leave home super early and sometimes worked overtime, but she never put work above her girls. Today she had to go to work early, but had time to make lunch for both of them.

When Yuki was done with cleaning up, they went to the front entrance of their house. The teenager put Ume's little black coat, pink scarf and hat on. She put her own navy coat and a maroon scarf. They put on their shoes; little brown flats for Ume and dark brown loafers with a small heel for the high school student.

Every school day, Yuki would hold Ume's hand and briskly walk to Kudanshita Station to catch a train which at 7:15 was not so busy. They would then get off at Omote-Sando and then the brunette would drop off her niece at Jingumae Elementary with a kiss on the face. She'd only do this on mornings because in the afternoon, Grandma Misaki would pick Ume up, allowing Yuki to enjoy her afternoons with friends. She would then walk back to the station and take a train to Shibuya Station. Then she would walk to Kokusai High School. Each morning and afternoon, she would stare up at the Komaba Campus of The University of Tokyo in wonder and awe. Thinking about what life would be like there.

Yuki got to Kokusai at 8:10 every day, which was earlier than most. She would spend her time in the library most of the time reading and studying. Today like the rest of the week was different, she was going to work in the lab. The girl changed her shoes and headed up to the Staff Room. The brunette knocked on the door and when she heard a response, she opened the door.

"Yuki-chan! Good morning!" Her science teacher waving at her with a bright grin. The student entered the staff room and smiled at her teacher whilst bowing.

Emiko Tanaka was Yuki's Science Teacher. She had been a teacher since Yuki entered High School and was one of the few teachers who knew about her situation. She was also the nicest teacher in the whole school.

"Good Morning Sensei. You must be happy that it's the last day of winter break?"

"Yes, ecstatic. I get to go out and have fun for the next 2 weeks instead of looking after all of you kids." Emiko giggled. "This time next year will be your last winter break in High School. I really think you should be considering to go to the more prestigious Universities?" Emiko began walking her through the school halls.

"Prestigious Universities? I was thinking about the nearest University from Chiyoda." Yuki stated honestly.

"Come on Yuki-chan. You're extremely intelligent, you're the most intelligent student in your grade, the other teachers can vouch for it." The girl couldn't help but blush. "You deserve to go the best Universities. Even if it's in Sendai or even in England, Oxford!"

"England, that's too far!" She exclaimed. "I can't speak English!"

"I mean you can stay here too. There are so many great Universities in Japan. But the teachers and I will organise something for you next year for a visit at Tohoku University." Emiko replied.

"You know you don't have to." The teen said meekly. "If it's too much trouble."

"Nonsense, Yuki! We'd be happy to. But you've got a long while to think about it." Yuki smiled whilst nodding as they got to the lab. "How's that experiment going?"

"Oh, the fertiliser! Yes, it's going along really well. Just a few finishing touches and I'll be done. Some of those flowers in winter just need a little boost." She grinned.

"I'll let you get along with it then!" Emiko unlocked the door and left.

Yuki slid the door behind her and she put on a lab coat and gloves. She found her experiment in some sealed flasks in the pantry and took it out. The substance was a liquid of bright green. She took out a plastic box and opened it; it contained a rack with 5 vials. Her violet sparkled as she slowly yet carefully poured the liquid into the vials equally. When she was done, she sealed the vials and put almost all of them back in the rack. The brunette held the last vial up with the sun shining through the windows. The liquid then turned a bright pink in the sunlight and she smiled.

The day went by quickly and it was already lunchtime. Yuki was sitting in class and a few of her school friends had their desks turned to her. Her bento included white rice, chicken katsu with katsu sauce, tamagoyaki and some salad. She enjoyed her lunch. All her friends' eyes sparkled when she shared a container of castella cake which were sliced. It made her so happy to see them all appreciate her baking.

"It's terrible what happened to those girls." One of her friends stated and Yuki's smile dropped.

"Yuki-chan, I heard you went to their funerals. That was a respectful thing to do." She nodded.

"I knew those girls in Elementary. They were sweet." Yuki frowned.

"I'm sorry to hear that. I hope the police find the people responsible."

"I heard they've been in hiding. Like cowards. And the police haven't found any suspects."

"At this rate, no one will find those criminals and that's another 5 girls dying without any justice." The girls just sighed.

"Don't worry. Justice always finds its way to the right place." They looked at Yuki. "People, bad people, they can run and hide for as long as they want. In the end; there will always be justice "But for now, only one thing will do;" Her gaze lowered to her bag where she stared at the plastic box. "Punishment."
