Who am I?

I’m Moving Mountains. I’m a socially-awkward 31-year-old British woman who loves Teen Titans, League of Legends, Rooster Teeth and playing video games.

Why am I here?

I avidly read Teen Titans FanFiction and have done everyday since I was recommended this website in 2005 by a girl in my Science class. I also enjoy writing my own stories but as a teacher, I now mostly write during school holidays and when inspiration strikes. For this reason, most of my stories are one-shots.

I've always loved creative writing, everything from poems and song lyrics to stories. I remember the first FanFictions I wrote when I was 12: they were Flora-centric Winx Club stories that I printed out in colourful fonts and kept on my bookshelf.

What do I enjoy reading?

I almost exclusively read Teen Titans FanFictions but very occasionally dabble in Harry Potter, RWBY and Criminal Minds.

Any story with Raven as a focus is a win: she's always been my favourite Titan and as a teenager, I felt a strong connection with her character - plus, who doesn't love the Trigon arc? I’m not a fan of romance-centric fics; I like strong friendship and brotherly relationships instead so Raven and Robin/BB stories capture my interest.

Genre wise, I like angsty dark themes and situations where a character is in danger, but I try to give most stories a chance and be open-minded - you never know what you're missing out on. I find hurt/comfort fascinating; I love when a team of friends is concerned about one of its members.

I particularly enjoy reading long one-shots - at least three-thousand words - and stories with over twenty-thousand words, but only if the author is dedicated throughout and doesn't lose the plot half-way through. However, any story which has a promising summary, a detailed well thought-out plot and good characterisation will (hopefully!) have me hooked.
