Hello…it's been a while…a long long while. I mean let me check…2019 wow, even then my other story is all the way from 2016. I don't even know what to say a lot has happened and did not happen. Best way I can explain myself is that at some point I kind of lost the will to write, I can say with certainty that even know I have in my head and written down what I wanted to do with my previous stories. But at some point, it became hard to sit down and write, whether it was my own inability or real life stuff. In real life I went from being a college student to being in grad school, and some family troubles and deaths kind of killed my will to write.
But that's the past this is the present and things have changed, or I should say I was changed. Really, I got into SYOC's only last year, have submitted to multiple of them, have seen multiple go on and multiple die. I can say I'm especially thankful to one syoc that introduced me to a group of syoc submitters that I'm grateful for not only the countless days and nights of banter and talk, but also advice and generally being there. So, thanks to all that I've decided to come back to writing slowly and come out with what inspired me to come back, an MHA SYOC.
The form and info are at the bottom, see you all there.
The cold emptiness of space was peaceful as random space debris floated through it illuminated by distant stars. The peaceful moment was broken by a sudden explosion giving off waves of heat and pressure. The explosive force coming from a single person that burned like a star, the explosive force coinciding around them like a giant sphere. Yet still across from them floating quite casually within the void of space was one man staring down the explosive force across from them. Rearing back a fist the man shot forward with high speed heading right for the man on fire,
"…and the great hero High Spirit shot forward not afraid of the villains power, even as the villain brought down their hand intending to bring forth the power of a very sun to smite the one who dares to oppos-"
The scene which showed the sun covered villain bringing down a fist of the same sun energy was interrupted by another voice and what seemed like a massive fist going down to hit the villain, but only served to go right through them showing that the whole scene was just a hologram. The hologram at this point had paused itself as the owner of the fist, a little girl around the age of 6 years old tried to hit the villain to no avail. The little girl swung at the hologram a few times while yelling "And out of nowhere the great Yu emerges to smack down the nasty villain and save the day muhahahaha"
The little girl continued to shout and jump around the bed before she and the hologram device were stopped in midair, just a moment away from falling off the bed.
"Uraraka Yuei, what did I tell you about interrupting the narrator hmmm"
The voice, belonging to another person sitting on the bed hand held up glowing slightly and a small fond smile on his face. Lowering his hand, the girl now named Yuei, was also lowered down softly onto a safer position of the bed. Yuei for her part tried to look bashful as she scratched at the back of her head, "Sorry dad…but the hero looked like they needed help, and the villain looked strong and…"
The girl spoke an apology before delving into a string of mumbling sentences quickly, being shushed by a hand on her head tussling her auburn short hair earning a pout from her. "Now now Yuei, you know that the hero would have been fine. He's a hero after all, in the end hero's win against all odds after all…"
The father was interrupted from his speech by the bedroom door opening and a man dressed in a professional looking suit stepping in and saying quickly before leaving, "Sir, sorry for the interruption but the leader called a meeting, said it was code Red and an emergency you are required…"
At the interrupting man's words, the father turned his head and nodded before turning back to the sight of his daughter turned away with covers covering her head. Seeing the sight, the man sighed knowing that he was not in good graces anymore.
"Yu…you know…I don't want to go any more than you do and had planned to stay here for the full time but…"
"Ya, I know but your job calls…just go…like always…"
The man stopped speaking when he was interrupted, thinking for a few seconds before he lifted his hand it glowing yet again lifting the girl up and into his arms hugging her close to himself. "You know that I love you right…and once this war is over things will slow down…right"
The little girl was stiff for a moment before she hugged back tears coming to her eyes, "I know…it's not that…I'm afraid daddy…that you won't come back next time like…mom…"
The man at those words just hugged back stronger, both to console his daughter and at the memories with the mention of his late wife, "You know daddy is strong, he won't just leave such a strong little girl alone…how's this. Next time I'm home I'm going to show you some of daddy's moves so you can be sure he is strong…"
The man watched his daughter lift her head, sniffle once and nod before she began to ramble a bit at the prospect of seeing her dad fight, on the inside he sighed greatly hoping for the ongoing war to end soon, "100 years is enough for a whole life time…don't worry Yuei your daddy's little girl and I will make sure to end this war before all of your childhood is over."
10 years later, Capital of the Liberated Planet Uranus
Uranus once the planet of acidic ice crystal rain storms that would tear through the ice giant, after years upon years of terraforming and weather conditioning with quirks and technology the planet became livable. Even after centuries of change the planet still holds the title of planet with the most rainstorms but far from its past, most of the planet now having rain and light icicle storms ranging from light drizzles to fervent rainstorms. It was one such day the capital city having one such normal storm, a mix of rain and icicles raining down upon the cities many towering skyscrapers. One such skyscraper was taller than most, with one side of the building being retrofitted to be a sort of advertisement hologram. The hologram currently showing a news cast that began to speak on the war that had wrecked the solar system only years ago.
"…and that was Chip Cheston with the weather, thank you Chip. Now onto the big news, on this very cold December afternoon over a century ago a war started. One that would continue to rage its way throughout the system tearing families from loved ones and destroying much of what ones loved. It was only thanks to our very own Mercenary Imperator, Akira Rage of Neptune, ended the war by drawing the Sol Councils forces to a standstill in the battle above Mars. Now a decade later we want to look back on this momentous day in…"
Yuei stopped listening at that point, already having heard the same speech over the last few years the day had come. But even still she still came here to watch the broadcast, she could have watched from home but being out here in the slight rain and so high above the bustling streets calmed her.
Yuei felt the light rain hitting her hood covered head but gave it no mind, she had grown up on Uranus so rain like this was nothing to her. Currently Yuei was dressed in a too big for her dull pink hoodie with the logo of her Mercenary Family logo, which was that of a roman looking helmet with the eye holes having a glowing with power design to it. She finished off her outfit with faded blue jeans and grey sneakers, the girl not one to be looking the most fashionable taking after her grandmother in choosing practicality overlooking the best.
Yuei adjusted herself, slipping loose strands of auburn hair back into her hoodie, as she crouched down to sit upon her board which was not much more than a painted long rectangular piece of metal. Panning back, one would see that the girl was indeed sitting upon a long piece of metal high above the ground, the metal floating in the air steady as if it was the ground itself, the only indication of that being a slight glow to it.
Yuei sighed as she dangled one of her legs off the board and pulled the other up to rest her chin on it and turned her attention back to the advertisement hologram, the news program having moved on past its usual memorial speech to talking more about more recent going ons in the city. She scowled at the broadcast, envying just how carefree the news cast was making the day, "If only today was so simple and normal…"
Yuei felt the presence behind her before he even spoke, the rain that used to hit her had stopped seemingly not raining only in her general area, "Should have guessed you would be here Yu…" At the voice Yuei's scowl seemed to get deeper and jumping up to a standing potion on the board the teen girl refused to look back or even speak.
The man, who himself was simply seemingly standing on solid ground as easy as one normally would except for the fact that he was a few hundred feet in the air, saw the girls actions and silent treatment just sighed. "Silent treatment huh…really should have expected that, you're still mad about being chosen huh."
The man tried to move to be in front of the girl to get a look at her face, but the girl only moved her board to face away each time, the man let out a chuckle at the attempts. "Really we going to play this game, alright then but you know who wins in the end."
Once again, the man moved to get in front of the girl, but this time accompanied with a glowing hand gesture, this time the girl tried to move but found that she couldn't like she was trapped in the world's smallest box and could not move. Finally seeing the man face to face, she tried to scowl more which to the man just seemed like she was pouting more and more. "What do you want…dad…don't you got better things to do with your 'twin'."
While the father did see that Yuei was indeed still pouting, the tone of her words was less so, a hint of anger can be heard. Sighing he seemingly walked on the air up to her level before speaking, "Now where did that come from, what gave you the idea that I would rather be with my brother than with my own daughter"
"The moment you decided to sell said daughter off." The response threw the man for a loop a bit before he realized what this was about, bringing a hand up to rub at his forehead he let out a long sigh, "Really Yu…you know it's not selling you, I would never do that"
"Really, seems like it when you agreed really easily to your twins request…without even asking me" the girl responded staring straight into her father's eyes though losing most of the anger, slacking into the hold of her father's quirk. "Yu, you know that this is important in order to…"
"To keep the peace, yes I know. 'You have been chosen to represent the Free Independent coalition of Mercenaries', give me a break dad I know that I have just simply been chosen as a scapegoat. Not when he won't even risk his own children" Yuei interrupted her father growing more annoyed as she spoke. The words spilling out making her throat burn because she knew that even though she was angry with her father that in the end he really had no choice, "Not when one's own brother is the damn leader of a planet"
The man flinched at his daughters words, hearing some of what she really thought was stinging him, but there was not much to be done it was decided already, "You know that his children are already grown up and with their own companies already…come on now this won't be so bad, it's just a…little exchange program. Plus, my brother wouldn't have even suggested including you if he wasn't sure that anything bad would come of it, you know that he does care for his family more so than most."
Yuei just let out a breath looking down refusing to meet the man's eyes or even look at him, she knew that her father was right. Her uncle was a pinnacle of a family man, part of the reason he took his job as Imperator of all mercenaries as serious as he did. That does not change the betrayed feeling she had, "I just…don't get why we have to do this in the first place…it's only been 10 years, they took a lot from us…they took mom…"
At those words the man was silent, the topic of his late wife was something that even to this day he still can't keep full composure, so an awkward silence filled the air for the next minute while neither spoke. Finally letting out a cough Yuei looked up silently wiping away a tear before speaking, "…anyway how did you get grandma to agree anyway. I'm certain that she would have kicked uncles ass for even suggesting this."
"Was easier than you think, your grandma isn't as opposed to this as you think. She was certainly mad before, but the years have mellowed out that anger. Especially with the disappearance of…well you know who. Ever since then her anger has been dissolving, count this as a blessing that she is in reluctant agreement. If not well…" both shuddered, knowing what the woman could do, imagining the time someone had pissed her off and got sent to the stratosphere, literally.
Letting out a collective chuckle both father and daughter looked at each other before the man spoke, "I get the feeling that this is not really about you being put into the program is it…" At the accusation Yuei flinched before nodding, a nagging feeling in the back of her head came forth one that she had thought about sharing but never got the chance, what with her father being so busy as he is all the time.
"Ye…yes. Do you remember that day, the day that the war ended? Do you remember what you promised?"
The man was taken aback by the question, not expecting to be asked to remember such a long past day, "Uhm, yes of course. That was the day I came home with time off from the war…I had promised to…show you some of my techniques after getting back from being called in."
Yuei nodded adjusting herself on her board to hug one arm close to her body, even with the rain not hitting them she oddly felt the cold seeping in through her loose hoodie, "Ya…you know you never kept the promise. I know it was cause the war had ended that day, and that you were busy with the aftermath, and still are busy with problems but…still would be nice to have you around. Ever since then I barely see you, only a single day at a time before your off somewhere dealing with some problem. Its selfish but…when was the last time you took a vacation?" her mini speech left the girl breathing harder looking down again.
Yuei was surprised by the fact that her father didn't answer but instead moved forward to bring her into a hug, one that she responded to automatically and hugged back. They haven't hugged much, as she had said the man was busy as he could be helping his brother control the free planets and colony's to do much with her anymore. She now realized just how much she had been holding in. The man just held his daughter, her question really hitting him, "I'm sorry if that is how I made you feel Yu, I know you probably have heard it before and it's not really an excuse, but things have been hectic since the ending of the war. It affected us all in many ways, took things away, and changed a lot of things…if nothing else I would like to make up for not really being a part of your life."
"Kind of hard with me going away in a day…" Yuei mumbled into his coat causing the man to chuckle getting a similar one from the girl. "Yes, it does pose a problem, but not one that can't be fixed on your holiday time, I'm certain unlike me your holiday time will be forced upon you."
The girl only giggled more as she let her father go and started to move away slowly floating away on her board at a flick of her hand. "Yes…ill hold you to that. I didn't for the last time but this time you can't get away…anyway I need to get back and finish packing since someone decided to just drop this on me…see ya dad" Yuei said before stepping off her board and falling down toward the group, grabbing the board on the way down.
The man watched his daughter go with no worry knowing that she had done that many times, to the horror of the people around. Shaking his head he looked back to the hologram board, which had begun to talk about the war again, and got lost in thought, "Hmm…I do wonder when was the last time I just took a break…huh it has been a while…."
Meanwhile, Asian Territory former country that was known as Japan
"It was well known fact that the emergence of quirks changed the path humanity walked down. In that age society changed to incorporate quirks into everyday life, but a byproduct of that is humanity began to focus solely on quirk development leaving technological development to stagnate. Technology fell behind quirk development, the fact becoming obvious when the moment came where sustaining and supporting people became a challenge. When famines start to spread across the all countries, when medicine starts to fall behind new viruses, when technology starts to fail its purposes the decision to focus so closely on quirks was reevaluated. Humanity from that point entered a new era, a new space race some called it. Technological development to spread humanities wings out into the cold blackness of space was essential to the continued prosperity to all…"
Leo opened his eyes mid snore, blinking blearily not knowing where he was or what he was hearing. Getting up into a sitting position he almost fell down from the wall he was laying on. Catching himself just in time to not fall a good 6 feet to the street below he let out a breath before yelping and swinging down to grab a pair of headphones that fell off his head when he caught himself. Catching himself with one hand and the headphones with the other he just let out another exasperated breath and hoisted himself back onto the wall, legs dangling off.
"Wha-…what time is it?" Leo mumbled out mid yawn as he looked at his arm, tapping a plain looking smart watch, which then expanded into a decent sized holo-screen. The screen showing a picture of a beautiful mountain landscape and a digital clock, "Huh, almost noon must have napped for longer than I wanted to."
Leo himself was a teen of average height, straight dark toned green colored hair that reached to just past his shoulders. He had sharp features with brighter green eyes compared to his darker colored hair, and some freckles that sprinkled across his cheeks. Dressed in black jeans, green hero merch t-shirt, over which sat a grey zipped up sweater, Leo looked like any normal 17 year old on a weekend would look like.
Leo yawned again before putting on his headphones, which were an older model compared to the holo powered newer ones. Soon as he put it on, he heard the voice and cringed a bit, "When did my holo-cast change to this…some history talk show or something." Tapping at the holo-screen on his wrist he turned off the pod-cast and got up to stretch, looking out at the buildings before him. He was in a neighborhood that had been kept relatively the same over the years even with the rapidly changing and advancing technologies. Though that is not to say the whole neighborhood looked like it was stuck in the past, seeing as a number of blocks away buildings and skyscrapers go up into the air.
Looking further into the distance Leo sighed, putting his hands into his hoodie pockets as his eyes laid upon one of humanities crowning achievements. A building so big and long that it reached into the sky and beyond, one of earths space elevators. The elevator was like a large spire, wider at the bottom and getting thinner as it goes up to a point. White and gray coloring splashed the outside as many different sized elevator cars went up and down at high speeds.
A cold sudden wind hit him causing him to let out a shiver as a memory came to the forefront, he remembered even as a young child getting taken out of primary school by his grandma. He remembers the panic in her face, it getting bigger as the space elevator rocked back and forth as a gigantification quirk user smacked right into it. Fire smoke pillars went up into the air as an emergency siren screamed overhead. Leo came out of the memory bringing up a hand to smack at his face, "No stop it…that was years ago, there are no more starvation riots. The wars over so no need to worry"
Looking down at his arm he saw the holo-screen reading 12:05pm, it took all of a few seconds before the panic set into Leo, "Oh shit, I promised grandma to be home by noon…" Screaming in panic as he jumped off the wall and across to the roof of a building running across it and jumping again to get to another roof. This continued for a bit before on one roof Leo slipped in his panicked run, messing up a jump and falling to the ground below. Adjusting himself he moved his body to have his feel facing downward just as he passed the other roofs edge, hands landing on the wall just under the edge he kicked off the wall. Just as he kicks off the wall his shoes which had been teched out with hover enhancements, the shoes boost giving Leo extra height to flip up and onto the roof saving himself a couple stories of falling.
Landing in a crouch he looked back and let out a breath, "Really need to pay attention when roof hoping, this is the third time this week." Shacking himself off he continued his journey, reaching his destination in about ten minutes jumping yet again only time straight at a decent sized house behind a tall concrete wall. Grabbing a conveniently placed handle bar he swung himself into an open window landing in an exaggerated crouch, "Landed it yet again, go meeee-" Leo's self-praise was ended as he slipped on a perfectly placed object as he stepped toward the door sending himself crashing to the floor with a thud.
Objects around his decently sized room shook as he hit the floor with an "oof". Letting out a breath of pain he got up rubbing his back, "Well, technically still landed it…technically" he said to himself looking around the room, a big twin sized bed sat under the window he had come through just moments before, next to it a night stand and computer desk. On which sat an advanced looking glass screen connected to the desk, the rest of the desk being decorated with random hero figurines and merch. The rest of the room was taken up by a large dresser and posters. "Still need to pack up some of the rarer merch and the like but that can be done latter…anyway gotta go let grandma know I'm here."
Heading outside and down a hallway he passed by a couple of pictures hung up on the walls and before hitting the stairs heading downstairs was a larger piece of artwork. The artwork was of a family tree, the top having the title "Midoriya/Uraraka Family Tree", the tree itself being broken into two separate families stretching from the two children of the starting members of the tree. He looked down the rather large piece to near the bottom, seeing himself there. He gave the tree a final look before sighing and heading downstairs, "Wish I didn't only know my side of the tree."
Finally arriving downstairs, he looked around the living room that connected to a dining room, not finding the person he was looking for, let out a sigh of relief that he was not caught. Stepping into the living room he was cut off by a cough, stiffening he turned around to find an older woman standing by the doorway to the kitchen area of the house. The woman had graying hair with random strands of greenish hair, slightly wrinkled face with dark brown eyes which at the moment seemed to glare at the boy keeping him stuck in place.
Placing a hand on her hid she glared for a few more seconds before letting the glare melt into a smile, "So, by noon you will be back, it's almost one now. Wanna tell me where you were when you supposed to be packing for tomorrow"
Finally letting out a breath Leo sheepishly scratched at the back of his head, "Sorry grandma, got a bit lost in my mind and fell asleep while on my morning run its no biggie. Besides all that's left to pack is some 'important' items and I should be good"
"Really, from what I saw most of the 'important' items like clothing and such were thrown haphazardly into a bag while your toys were treated much better" the woman said sounding not convinced by the boys claims.
"What no they are not toys, some of the action figures and models are rare first print or day one releases. Their worth is much more than some clothing…" the boy fell into a rant about the value of his extensive merchandise collection while the old woman just smiled fondly letting the young teen talk himself out.
Leo finally noticed he had begun a mumbling streak and just stopped and blushed while the old woman let out a laugh, "Don't laugh, an old woman like you won't understand the future value of some of this stuff-" he was interrupted by a smack upside the head from the woman a thick mark on her forehead, "Who you calling old I have you know I am in the prime years of 130's thank you very much. In any case you should finish packing the transport to the elevator and your ride to the Terminal will arrive early tomorrow so no playing around alright. Don't want you to miss your ride after all."
Leo nodded as he followed the woman into the kitchen noticing that she had already started cooking dinner, and a plate of pastries on the counter. Reaching for them his hand was smacked away along with a small glare turned his way. "Right right, not before dinner…So, ma and pa not coming tomorrow or-"
"Leo…you know that they are not, they already told you so. They are currently on a research vessel somewhere near the asteroid belt near Jupiter. Would take too long for a shuttle to reach a Warp Gate and get here by tomorrow." Leo's grandma started turning to see a dejected look appear on the boy's face before disappearing, "You know, while they are not here to see you off to your first day in Hero training, I will be there to see you off. After all you got a lot of potential in-"
"'Being a hero like my aunt before me' I know granny. I've heard mother tell me that before a dozen times. Got it drilled into my head that 'being born with a quirk in our family is a blessing, you are me and your fathers blessing'. I've heard it all…just…" Leo interrupted his grandma at first being a bit frustrated but then calming down.
"But you feel overwhelmed don't you" Leo heard his grandma speak before nodding, "It's not like being born with a quirk is anything special, but when your side of the family is almost always born quirkless and then here I am casually having a quirk and being told that I am special…I just don't like it. Don't get me wrong heroes are awesome and I am so excited to start training but…I don't know it feels like I'm being pushed to do what I love, and it gives a weird feeling. I wonder if they feel the same…" Leo finished his rant looking yet again at the family tree.
The older woman followed his gaze and understood what he meant as the boy spoke up again, "Do you think they are still mad at us?"
"You mean Rei and her family don't you…hmmm…I can't say for certain for her feelings but what I can tell you is that I'm sure given the chance they would be grateful for the chance to meet the rest of the family. I know that at the beginning I may have been mad at what Rei did, but after Mei…well after time I can say that anger has gone away at the very least."
Leo processed the words, words he has heard before in previous conversations but hearing every time made a longing feeling grow in his chest. "You think Aunt Mei will ever be found granny?" the words spilled from his mouth before he could think, almost regretting the words as they came out.
A sour look came over the older woman's face before after a long pause she turned away saying "You should go finish packing" ending the conversation quickly. Leo nodded knowing he has said too much before heading upstairs again. The older woman stood by the counter looking outside, the space elevator in clear view "Rei…I hope you are doing okay. For the family we may have at the very least. And Mei…for what seems like the millionth time, where did you go…"
Earth's Orbit, Space outside the Hero Organization's HQ, The Terminal
The Terminal, a technological marvel of human kind. Along with its sister mega stations; the councils own Acropolis, and the Military's Olympus Might, the Terminal was massive. The station itself is a collection of habitat domes circling a main body topped with a massive habitat of its own. Each habitat had a clear see through dome showing many buildings within as well as artificial light and nature. The Terminal served the purpose of housing many of the Hero Organizations registered agencies and offices, as well as a strategical focal point to any and all Hero operations that may be taking place at any time. As such many ships came to and from the station, from massive Hero School Dreadnaughts to smaller Agency Destroyers.
One ship, an average sized Corvette, floated peacefully orbiting the station. The main body being a long rectangular shape with twin engines in the back which were off at the moment. The ship being kept in orbit with occasional correctional bursts of air from the sides of the ship. Inside said ship all was quiet as most of the crew was off duty or on the Terminal. All except for one man that stood within a room that gave off the aesthetic of an office. The office consisting of a large desk just before a wall sized window, though which the Terminal can be seen slowing moving through space. Before the large window stood a male figure in a pure black two piece suit minus the suit jacket that was thrown over the large office chair next to the desk.
The man with obsidian black skin with occasional red scar looking lines that glowed dimly hummed to himself lifting a hand to swipe at the hologram that was in front of him, the image switching from one screen to another. The new screen showing itself to be what seemed like an info profile on a person, a head shot of the person in the upper left and lines of info going down the screen. Doing this for a few minutes the man swiped from profile to profile, each swiped profile minimizing and being put to the side.
Still humming the man lifted his right hand which held a rocks glass with dark colored liquid, sipping at the drink as his attention was taken from the profiles to the door to the office opening. Stepping through the doorway a female in a Uniform, on the breast being a gold logo with the initials 'UA'. "Principle Kvasir, important message from the Commissioner. Says you need to hear it asap."
Kvasir hummed taking another drink from the glass before putting it on his desk and turning to face the woman, "Julia, I know you are new, but I have told you already just Kvasir is fine. Calling me by my title makes me feel older than I know I am. In any case what was the Hero leaders full response."
"Of course, sir I've heard your requests and I have to respectfully decline, as your new head secretary calling you by your rightful title is a part of my job" Julia spoke adjusting her round glasses and putting some loose dark purple hair behind her ear as she took out a thin glass tablet that lit up upon touch. "As for the Commissioners message it reads, 'Kvasir, I do hope you know what you are doing. The last of your requests have been granted, know that I am onboard for the idea in general but do worry for some aspects of your latter requests. The older ones of the council as you know are massively against this whole experiment of yours, but the new younger council members should keep them in line for the time being. Commander Chief is also on board though just as speculative as I am. Know that none of us want another war, as much as the council makes it seem like they do, but this gamble of yours…doing this joint class so soon after the war ended is a dangerous gamble. If it works out great no war but know that if it fails, you will be held responsible for the ensuing war. See you tomorrow at the choosing ceremony."
Kvasir mulled on the commissioners words, the lines going through his black skin glowed a bit brighter then settled again. Turning suddenly, he did some gestures with his hands, the next moment the earlier cluttered holograms were all minimized with the profiles only showing the pictures and being arranged in two groups five on each side. Julia stepped forward seeing that one side was labeled Sol and the other Liberated. "Sir, I know that the leaders are accepting of the idea, but I have to ask, are you sure this is a good idea…making a class with students from two sides of a war seems like a recipe for disaster."
"Yes, I am aware, I've gotten questioned enough about my sanity by the Leaders and other principles. Some have even said that I've gone senile in my age…which is quite absurd I am in my prime age of 200 only after all" Kvasir said ending the sentence in a mocking tone making Julia let out a small sweat drop. "Not everyone lives as long as you can sir and still be technically young, you are in a normal sense past your prime by average standards."
Kvasir just waved the woman off as he stepped back into his chair and swiveled it to look at the grouped profiles again and hummed, "In any case, I'm sure this can work Julia…it's got to work if a stronger peace is to be created."
Kvasir and Julia were silent after that, the man was content staring at the pictures and consequently the Terminal just beyond the window wondering just what the coming choosing ceremony would bring.
Welp that is it, it felt nice writing for once. I've missed the feeling and I'm glad I still able to write decently sized chapters. Anyway, moving onto the topic of the syoc…
Some info that I want to say before I get to the form. As you can tell the syoc premise is a join class that is formed of students from two sides of a recently ended war. Five from the earth's side and five from the liberated mercenary's. As such if you want to submit a character take that into account, form what side you want your oc to come from and how that would affect their background and personality and the like.
For reference the planets for each side are as follows;
Earth Sol Council: Earth, Mercury, Venus, Mars
Liberated Mercenaries: Uranus, Jupitar, Neptune
Saturn: Neutral Join owned by both sides
I'm planning another chapter with general background of the world and how this around 400 years into the future has changed since mha cannon. Look out for that for more reference for your ocs, but generally even with just this chapter go nuts with creating your characters if I see something contradicting in your form it's not a disqualification ill make sure to pm you about it and we can work it out.
Oh, that's right please submit in pms, no submissions form reviews will be taken as the policy with syoc usually goes.
Oh, right one more thing, as for quirks and cannon character connections. For quirks know that over 400 years have gone since cannon, so what I want to say is that when making a quirk think about how they may have evolved and what from. That is not an excuse to make completely overpowered quirks, its instead an okay on quirks being quote un quote stronger, and using already cannon quirks but with one rule that if the quirk is a cannon one it must be "evolved" somehow. As for cannon character connections, I don't mind at all its been over 400 years if they are connected to cannon characters it would only be by family name so go nuts. All except for Midoriya and Uraraka of course for obvious reasons.
Ill give a month from now as the time, seems like a general amount of time ive seen people give. So around Dec 12th will be the close date.
Anyway, onto the form,
Fundamentals
Name: (Surname, first name. Unless the character is of a different nationality)
Nicknames/Aliases: (If they were given a nickname or like to be known by another name write it here)
Gender: (Anything goes)
Sexuality: (I can do whatever, don't mind whatever they want to be)
Hero Name: (Obvious what to put here, what do they want to be called in their hero career)
Age: (Generally the teens have finished high school before starting hero training in my story, so 17-19 is the range)
Birthday: (If they lucky they may be able to celebrate it in the story)
Nationality: (The story is set in an age in which most of the solar system was settled. As such nationality can be more than normal earth ones)
Height and weight: (Realistic for age and nationality please.)
Voice: (How do the characters speak, do they got a deep voice or are they squeaky)
Appearance
Hairstyle: (Plenty obvious)
Eye Shape and Color: (You know it. Anything within here with reason)
Skin Tone: (Open to whatever you damn well please. Especially if the Quirk effects it)
Body Type: (Lean, average, stocky. How muscular are they? Are they a twig? Or are they like if Brock Lesnar and a professional body builder had a lovechild? Anything about the body that isn't mentioned in the section below goes here)
Markings: (Birthmarks, scars, burns, anything on their body that's out of line and is forever.)
Casual Clothing: (Anything goes. Whatever you damn well feel like, I'll write it all.)
Hero Attire: (What do they wear on duty when out of their Rigs)
Rig: (A Rig is basically a suit the students get to survive in space since ya know this story takes place in space. As such the students got the choice to design a suit to be crafted specifically for them, what does that suit look like. If you want an example of the Rigs, a quirk google search of dead space suits will give a good idea)
Additional Items or Accessories: (Such items can be separate or integrated with the Rigs your choice)
Personality and backstory
Backstory: (Please make it at the least 3-4 paragraphs. Also don't forget to take into account what side your oc comes from, it is important)
Relationships: (Simple here. Anything goes. Family, friends and others of note)
Personality: (Similar to the backstory section, at least 3-4)
Likes: (Anything the OC likes, it could be things, people, concepts, anything goes.)
Dislikes: (Same as above, anything the OC dislikes put it here.)
Hobbies (Anything that they like to do in their spare time?)
Habits: (Anything they do out of anxiety or annoyance or whatever the reason may be. Do they have a verbal tic they repeat over and over again, or do they act a particular way whenever they are annoyed?)
Fears: (Contrary to most people, I will accept anything here. Failure, the dark, it doesn't matter so long as they do actually have a fear and aren't fearless.)
Secrets: (Any secret the ocs got that most don't know write it here)
Strengths: (Basically, their personality or some physical strengths! Should be equal with their weaknesses!)
Weaknesses: (Same as above! Must be equal or more than strengths!)
Quotes: (A good way for me to grasp the personality and see what the OCs think is the most important to them
Combat
Fighting Style: (Close-range, Medium-range, Support, Long-Ranged. They could be a grappling and submission expert for all I care, just tell me how they fight.)
Zero-Gravity experience: (As the name suggests, how good are your ocs in zero gravity environments or just generally outer space movement. Are they pros or just floating dead weight)
The Quirk!: (Pretty Obvious what each field is, just give me everything you can on the quirk, the more you give the better it is for me to write it)
Quirk Name:
Quirk Type:
Quirk Description:
Special Moves:
Future Techniques:
Quirk Strengths:
Quirk Weaknesses:
Plot points
Motivations/plot ideas: (What drives the OC? What makes them tick? What would you like to see out of them in certain situations)
Love Interest: (Self-explanatory)
Views on the opposite side: (Depending on which side your oc comes from what is their view on the other side)
Stats: 1-10 (Please refrain from making too good stats for your ocs, if they do get a 10, they better have at least one stat with a below 5, we trying to have characters that can grow and are not gods among men already)
Physical Capabilities (Agility, brute strength, speed, anything that the OC can have physical control over. This includes an amalgamation of their Quirk's strength if it aids them physically as well)
Intelligence: (Enough said here)
Teamwork: (Very clear here as well, do they actually work together, or are they more dysfunctional with others as my sleep schedule is with me)
Loyalty: (Would they turn on their friends the first chance they would get, or would they take multiple bullets for them?)
Stealth: (Simple here, are they Solid Snake or are they a bull in a china shop?)
Creativity: (How intuitive in battle are they? How can they utilize their Quirks in unique ways?)
Courage: (Would they charge into a hailstorm of bullets, or would they chicken out the second they were asked to tell a saucy secret?)
Extra: (Optional, anything else you want to say about your oc that didn't fit anywhere else in the form)
Theme song: (optional)
