Well, damn. It's been ages, huh. Sorry we've been through a drought of content from me, dears. I have been quite preoccupied and was unable to get anything out in August. However, to make up for that, September will have a lot more stuff coming out, including two bang entries, another chapter of Walk, and maybe a few other surprises. I have been working on quite a few things, so thank you for your patience. I promise it will pay off.
Anyway, you will be getting two chapters today. This one is a bit rushed so sorry about the pacing. It also requires a content warning, so if bullying, slurs, and abusive relationships trigger you, or if insensitive ableist gossip does that to you as well, you can skip this. Yeah it has more background stuff and the Setsuna vs Bakugou fight but like, I suck at fight scenes anyway and they are too brief anyway. It's not worth making you too uncomfortable.
That said, I wanted to explore these themes of bullying, abuse, ableism, and transphobia without sugarcoating. I don't really dwell on them here, as this isn't really a Setsuna fic. Still, I wanted to explore her side story more. I almost included all this in Chapter 10 a few times, but honestly, this is the better option. I hope this chapter goes over well. I really want to get it out, but it has taken me a while and I want it to be good. Please let me know what you think. I swear I will not dip into heavy stuff too often, but it felt important to here. It's not all over the chapter, but it is still there, so you have been warned.
Trigger Warnings: ableist terms, homophobia, transphobia, bullying, violence, abusive relationships, suicide mention, ableism in general
Anyway, I hope I tagged these well. Sorry again for the wait and the content, but I hope this take on Setsuna is engaging regardless. Without further ado, here is your bonus chapter.
The crowd was roaring, filling the arena with a cacophony of excitement and activity. The semi finals had everyone excited, and a certain lizard girl was no exception. However, she couldn't help but be introspective.
Setsuna heard her own footsteps as she walked through the corridors of the arena, no other distraction clouding her mind. She would seem almost unrecognizable if her friends saw her like this. And yet she was very much herself. Each step was the tick of a clock, the twitch of a watch hand moving backwards. Each step forward took her further back in her mind. She knew who she was fighting, and who she would fight for.
She knew she would face them both. The activity of the arena faded out and was replaced by bird calls and laughing children. She could no longer even hear her footsteps, just the soundtrack of her memories.
X
There were no adults around, or at least close enough to do anything. Even if they were, however, it was doubtful they would have done enough.
"What are you, a queer? Why are you wearing that"
"Yeah? What a pervy kid. That's for girls." Another boy spoke up, echoing the sentiment of his friend.
"I guess I have to knock some sense into him, eh?" A kid in a skull shirt smirked, looking like the snotty kid in any Saturday morning cartoon. Small explosions went off in his hand as he approached.
A young child in a dinosaur playdress hit the ground, feeling her knees get scraped by the dirt and rocks of the playground. Her ears rang a little as she looked at the boy with blonde, spiky hair looming over her smugly. He was flanked on either side by a boy with wings and one with a long face and longer fingers.
Just then, a green-haired boy with freckles stood in front of her, getting punched in the face as the blonde moved in.
The green-haired boy cried and stood up, knees shaking as he tried to stay strong. "L-leave her alone!"
"Her? Did you hit your head, you quirkless retard? That is just a boy in a dress. Not surprised you don't know what a girl is. The only one who will ever talk to you is your mom."
The boys who were with Bakugou gasped and went "ooooo". Showing mild discomfort if you looked deep enough. Bakugou smirked as he felt the explosions build in his hand. A young boy with power and the ego to match, turning it with disdain on the boy he once called his best friend. The girl hiding behind Izuku would find that later but for now, she screamed as the powerless boy in front of her tried to shield her, both from the slurs and insults hurled her way and the blows that would have been inflicted on her.
"What, is that weird boy your cousin? You gonna smooch him, Deku? How fucked up can you be?"
"Stop it, you meanie!" the child gasped, still reeling from being knocked to the floor.
Once the other boys got bored and walked away from the scene, the little girl in the dinosaur dress wandered over to the bruised boy who had taken it upon himself to guard her. She hadn't decided on a new name at this time, but the young girl would later go by Setsuna.
Dusting himself off, the young boy groaned and tried to stand up straight. He surveyed the situation and bashfully spoke up.
"Are you ok, Miss?" the boy spoke
The girl was silent, considering the other child before her, reaching out his hand as blood dripped down his nose and out of his ears. He had taken a lot of damage but luckily, it was just from another 6 year old and not an adult. He could have died otherwise.
"Tokage...my name is Tokage…"
"Oh...what's your first name? N-not that I'll use it...I'm not close enough with anyone for that."
"Don't have one...I mean I do...but I don't like it. It doesn't suit me."
"Well, whatever it is, I am sure it will be cute...sorry, I am not good at talking to girls besides my mom."
"Nothing, it's just...man, nobody really calls me a girl...it's refreshing. WHat's your name, fellow green bean?"
"Green...bean? Oh! Because of our hair...Um...Midoriya...Izuku Midoriya...did your quirk come in yet?"
"Not yet, but it should be soon. My teeth are sharp like my dad's. See?"
The child opened up her mouth proudly, showing rows of dinosaur-like chompers, as well as a forked tongue.
"Whoa! It's all cool and ...lizardy! Lizardesque!? Sorry...i probably seem weird. No wonder nobody really talks to me anymore."
"Hey, no sweat. It is pretty lizardy, huh? My dad doBut hey, it still looks like dad.I think it's called dorohedoro? Anyway, um...I can be your friend, Midoriya. If you want, that is."
"Oh...are you sure? This isn't a trick is it?"
"No, dude. Why would…" the young child put it together and then looked down. Those bullies probably made him feel that way.
"You called that boy Kacchan, but you said you're not on a first name basis with anyone. WHat's up with that?"
"It's...weird. We used to be friends...still are I guess? I...I guess that's just wishful thinking...but we used to do everything together and he is so cool and...maybe he is right when he calls me a useless puppet."
"Please don't tell my mom I said this… but that's horseshit! You stood up for me when they called me weird and a pervert. That's not useless in my book. At all." the girl smiled.
"So, do you like dinosaurs, Midoriya?"
:"A little. I prefer heroes. I...um...never met a girl who liked dinosaurs though."
"Dinosaurs are for everyone! They can be mommies so like, anyone who says dinosaurs are for boys only is wrong and dumb."
The two talked until their parents came to pick them up. The two waved goodbye and exchanged trading cards, with Setsuna giving Izuku a card of a spinosaurus, while he in turn provided one of the Princely hero, His Purple Majesty.
"Who was that," The girl's mom asked. Setsuna had blocked out the memories of the name she was given at birth. They were irrelevant. Still, she remembered telling her mother about the friend she made, a brave boy who saved her. She felt like a princess in a way, but not like the t-rex princess she dreamed of being. SHe would often dress her favorite dinosaur up in pretty clothes and have her eat her suitors. It took her parents getting used to, but they took it in stride. Still, they couldn't help but be concerned about the bullying, even if someone stood up for her.

A week or so had passed and the two children had been meeting up after school, with Tokage receiving homeschool while her parents settled into their new surroundings. Her father recently started at a hospital about a 30 minute's drive away and her old birth home was too far. His brother had apparently found the two a nice little place, albeit a bit of a fixer-upper.
"Hey, Izuku! Guess what! Guess what!" the girl grinned and bounced playfully.
"What is it, Tokage?"Izuku asked, his green eyes sparkling with curiosity. He was still adjusting to someone actually calling him by his first name outside his mom. Part of him was even worried it was all a ruse but he believed it anyway. Setsuna didn't know all this at the time but figured it out around the time she was in middle school.
"I can touch you…" Setsuna ran halfway across the room from her new friend, giggling as she did so. Once she was a distance away, the girl sent out her hand and her mouth towards her friend. "Hi! My quirk came in!"
Izuku stumbled backwards with a high-pitched yelp, much to Setsuna's amusement as her body parts returned to their rightful positions. SHe giggled as she ran over.
"How did you discover your quirk?"Izuku asked, taking out a small notebook. He had recently been practicing his handwriting and he wanted to start a project he had in his head.
"Would you believe it was over a cool dinosaur I saw?"
"It certainly sounds like you...so you can split into pieces?"
"Not a lot. Only like...10 right now? I am sure with practice I can get smaller pieces in greater numbers but for now, it's a blast, right? SO anyway, it happened when my family and I were at the mall. I saw this reeeaaallly cool dinosaur. Like it was a plush T-Rex! Huge! As big as me! But there was also a really pretty dress with lizards on it. I wanted both but my parents were trying to take me to someplace boring for my sister…, soI tugged and tugged and then...pop!" Setsuna made the appropriate noise with her mouth, then demonstrated with her quirk before showing off the spoils of war: her new outfit. SHe had left the t-rex at home, but at the very least, she had the clothes.
"Nice to meet you, Tokage. It's not often Izuku brings home a friend, especially a boy his age."
Setsuna growled and frowned, spinning around in her dress. She was very capable of using words, but sometimes, actions spoke louder. Her sister taught her a lot about animal displays and behavior, so she wanted to go with something akin to that, rather than accidentally say something rude to her new friend's mom.
"Oh...Tokage is a girl mom."
Inko was taken aback a bit, but smiled and nodded. "Apologies. Oh! That means Izuku brought home a girl! And at such a young age!" the single mother gasped. She was just happy he had any friend his age, and this one wasn't bullying him, at least she was sure she wan't
"Can Toka-chan and I play dinosaurs and heroes? We'll stay in here so you don't have to check on us." Izuku spoke up, worried about his mom getting the wrong impression.
"Jeez, Izuku. What's the big deal? I want to see your cool room. How come I don't get to go in?"
Inko couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. They were on a first-name basis already? She could feel the pride and the tears well up together.
Izuku blushed and hid his face, stammering over his words and trying not to make a scene while his mom watched with growing realization. She couldn't help but laugh. The whole thing was precious. "I-It's because you're a girl and I s-shouldn't be alone in my room with a girl yet."
His friend was smart for her age, inquisitive by nature even. However, it took her a moment to register what the boy was on about. "Oooooh. Mrs. Midoriya, it's not like that. I just want to see Izuku's All-Might toys and have them fight the super cool T-rex my parents bought me." she said, holding up her prized possession.
Inko was smitten. This child was adorable and polite, and she couldn't help but tear up at the enthusiasm the girl had for playing with her son and their toys. SHe might not have given a first name yet, but she delivered on first impressions.
"Besides, if I have my first kiss with your son, I want it to be less boring than that," the girl pouted, causing Izuku to fall over in surprise. Inko was so glad she wasn't drinking anything, as it would have gone straight up her nose and immediately out.
"T-T-Tokageeee!" Izuku sputtered and whined, while his friend merely shrugged and dragged him to the room.
"Time's a wastin, buddy. The number one hero still has to face the top predator. We'll be out for snacks soon, Mrs. M! THanks a bunch!"
And with that, the door to Izuku's room shut and soon after, the loud staccato sound of plastic against plastic could be heard, accompanied by loud roars and sound effects. THe play ended temporarily with a cry of "NOT THAT ONE! IT'S MINT IN BOX!" to which Tokage responded "It's a toy though! Besides, how do you know that term? We're like 6!"
"I collect things, ok? Please. I beg."
"Ok, since it means so much to you… but that Best Jeanist is about to become denim Dino food! Rawr!" Setsuna went back into her schtick as Izuku followed suit. Inko cried from cuteness overload until it was time for the young girl to go home.

A small creek babbled to the side as the two young explorers trekked onwards, carrying backpacks with notebooks and bug-catching tools. They had also brought enough water bottles to keep themselves hydrated until they returned to their homes. The month was almost up and the summer symphony was striking up.
"So this is where you and bomb boy used to go bug hunting, right?"
"Yeah...it's got a lot of cool birds and bugs. I have seen a couple lizards there too, but not very often. Kacchan would always scare them off and act tough. I think they are neat, but I never got to catch any."
"We should catch some. I have to get home soon, but maybe another day. I would like to hang out more."
"Wait...before you go...I was going to buy a new All-Might Game...but I um...My mom and I got you this. Hopefully you can grow your own one day, but I hope you like it."
The young boy reached into his backpack and pulled out a clear plastic bag. Within it was a long green wig, just the size for a child, if not slightly larger than the girl's head.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked at the boy, bashfully shuffling his feet and holding it in front. "I know you don't have a name picked out yet, Tokage, but I wanted to help you stand out more as a girl. I hope it helps."
THe girl known as "Toka-chan'' placed the cap and wig on her head, giving a twirl to test it out. It took some adjusting but it fit like a glove, even staying on her head as she tackle-hugged her new friend.
I love it, Zuki! Tell your mom I love it! It's so cool and pretty and I really feel like a girl!" she wiggled with excitement before letting out a joyous pterodactyl screech that nearly took Izuku's hearing out temporarily.
Gaining her composure, the girl smiled bashfully and apologized. "Right. It's pretty cool. Anyway, I should put it in my bag so it doesn't get messed up," she said, removing the wig and cap and placing it in another compartment of her bag. The two marched onward, with Setsuna running ahead after seeing a particularly cool lizard, a skink she was sure of. Izuku cried out as she turned a corner too quickly and tumbled down a river bank.
The green-haired boy followed after her, pulling out some bandaids and a towel from his backpack and placing them on the driest rock he could find. He extended his palm and asked "Are you ok?" In his mind, he was shaking, not just because a friend could have gotten hurt, (his only friend at this point) but also because this was what happened before the boy he called "Kacchan" started making his life a living hell. Luckily, instead of suffering, he found kindness and relief.
"Wow, you really are my hero, huh? How often are you gonna save me, dude?" she smiled, taking his hand and pulling herself up. Her outfit was wet and dirty but that was to be expected. SHe reached for the bandaids and towel afterwards, using them and placing what she used back in Izuku's bag.
"As many times as it takes. I guess? It's what heroes do...and also friends?"
"Well just you wait, Zuki. One day, I will save you, and that's a promise! Even heroes need help from other heroes." The girl cheered, not quite realizing just yet that as far as her friend was concerned, she had.

It was a bittersweet week for Setsuna. SHe had picked her name. FInally, she had a girly name she could be proud of. Nobody would call her by that name she hated anymore. She had shed it like a skin and was ready to roll. However, it was tempered by the most terrible news she could imagine.
"So...I know we've been here a month or two, but your mother and I have to pack us up again, Setsuna." her father said domberly, having broken the news to her elder siblings first. His wife stood by , offering strength to her husband as he broke their youngest daughter's heart.
"What? We just got here! I made a friend! I picked a name! This isn't fair!" the girl cried, feeling herself fall apart., both physically and emotionally. This was too much. She had thought her parents were getting a divorce, from the arguments she could hear, but this almost felt worse. Not that she didn't want her family together, but this whole thing stung way too much for her little heart. It couldn't end like this. She was just making memories. She was going to start school here. SHe was even hoping she could go to school with Izuku. But apparently, the place they got wasn't as up-and-up as her uncle Rapto had led them to believe.
Setsuna was devastated. She liked it here. Sure she was used to her old home, but she was getting used to this new place. She met a new friend, one who saw her for who she was, not just some confused and delusional boy. In fact, many said the same of him, and yet he was her hero, the first person to stand up for her in a way that counted. Sure, she was inspired by the likes of Strike Iguana or Triceratrooper, but this was someone her age, someone shy but funny and bright. SHe wanted to laugh with him and help him smile again. She wasn't sure if it was friendship, a crush, or something else. She was too young to figure that out yet. Granted, many people had said the same about her gender, including members of her family.
Either way, she found herself ignoring the cries of her mother and father as she ran towards the park where it all began. SHe used her quirk to run interference, create confusion so that she could run away and cry. She was hoping to see Izuku at their normal spot, maybe hug him and vent to him. Alas, he wasn't there. Instead, she spoke to the void that he could have occupied.
"I don't want to...I am tired, Zuki. I don't want to move around randomly. I want a friend. I want you as a friend. This sucks. I was gonna tell you the name I picked out. It was really cool and you would have loved it...this isn't fair!""
X
Cut forward to her middle school days, Setsuna was amazed. It had taken years, but she was now old enough. It was times like this she was glad her parents were well off. They weren't super rich, but they could at least afford a trip to Europe to help their daughter acclimate to her body. She couldn't believe it. She finally got to be seen as a girl. She could live as a girl with the name she chose. It was a dream come true. And yet, in the back of her head, there was a young boy, just out of focus, one covered in bruises, but holding out his felt like she was forgetting him, but just barely.
Then one day, she heard some of her friends speaking, the idle gossip you might expect in middle school sometimes.
"Jeesh, that was extreme wasn't it?"
"I mean, the guy sounds weird and delusional. But still, telling a quirkless kid to kill himself? Or anyone for that matter? Kinda wish Toshio had spoken up."
"I dunno, Nanako. That sounds nosey. Not really anyone's business, as much as it sucks. Plus what would the teachers really have done? I heard the guy kept like detailed journals on quirks? Sounds kinda sociopathic if you ask me."
Setsuna felt herself subconsciously pull apart as she zoned out. It couldn't be, right? It was just a coincidence, right? Sure, quirkless folks were rare but they weren't that rare. They existed around the world. It could be some other boy." Either way, it was rather cruel of her classmates to say such things. She hoped they weren't aiming to be heroes, as that was far from heroic in her eyes.
"I guess it just seems creepy. Not saying he should be bullied, but if I saw abland kid writing in his journal and not really interacting with people, I would be a bit concerned too."
"Then he needs therapy, not to be told to kill himself, what the hell?" Setsuna felt herself speak subconsciously. Her artificially tanned skin started to boil, at least that's how it felt. Memories came flooding back. It had to be him. It had to be that boy from years ago. Setsuna could feel herself getting angry. She loved her classmates well enough, at least the ones she was close to, but to hear that casual disdain disguised as moderate concern made her feel sick. Is that how they talked about her sometimes? Sure, she didn't really care about gossip and she had good friends already. And yet her skin crawled and her stomach churned.
"You ok, Sets? " A voice took her out of her daydreaming, the owner giving a cocky smile and a roll of his eyes as he snapped his fingers. He was a boy in her class and her first boyfriend, Shigechiyo.
"Yeah, just fine, Shig. Just thinking about someone I used to know."
:As long as it's not another boy," the young lizard man chuckled, flickering his tongue through his teeth and running a hand over his iguana-like spikes."
"Geez, sorry. I just don't wanna lose you as all. At least it's just someone without a quirk. I don't have to worry right? Especially since he's in another prefecture. Besides, it seems like someone is doing the work for me."
Setsuna was shocked at his disregard for the wellbeing of others and his weird jealousy, especially that last bit. "Shigechiyo, are you...fucking serious?"
"Of course not, babe. Just joking around. Just looking out for my little `best'a both worlds`"
Setsuna felt her veins catch on fire as she gently removed the boy's hand from her shoulder. He was really going too far. He always did. He roughoused too much, always making excuses like "You're built to handle it. You're tough", as if he was complimenting her.
"Do you have any concept of like...timing? Or boundaries?"
"Who cares? I'm your boyfriend."
"Wow… just...wow… Really showing what a caring guy you are, huh?"
"I'm very compassionate. I'm dating you, right?"
"I'm sorry. Babe, I'm sorry!...I SAID I WAS FUCKING SO-"
The boy looked on in terror at what he did as Setsuna fell to the ground, tumbling into the dirt. She looked up and for a moment, she saw three little boys smirking at her before the face of Shigechiyou looked down at her with a mask of concern, holding his hand out to help. No, that wasn't it. He was begging to be forgiven. Like always.
"Are you ok? I didn't mean-"
"Of course you didn't. Just like last time. I think we should stop seeing each other."
"What are you talking about!? I said, sorry. OK?" Shigechiyou shouted indignantly, trying to get his point across so that his girlfriend would just drop it.
"Just like you were sorry for coming on to Rezhane. While I was in the bathroom!" How could he be so callous? Was this what she was into? Was it because he looked like a lizard? Was that he didn't seem to mind her gender and even liked her gyaru get-up? It didn't matter. She was leaving it behind, wriggling and unneeded. What she needed now was time to recover.
"You're still on about that? Don't be such a bi-"
Before he could follow her and grab her, the girl knocked him out, tears in her eyes as she departed. That night, she barely responded to her parents or sister. Even Komodo was concerned when she took the KFC from his hand and shut her door, not coming out for the entire rest of the night.
It wasn't even a week until one of her friends came to her in tears, saying she had made out with Shigechiyo. Setsuna felt cold and not herself for that time, unable to even thing clearly or show emotion to the other girl. The following weekend, she took the train to her short-lived address. From there, she walked to the tree she and Izuku had caught bugs and lizards at as children. She sat there to think a little, hoping to see him but also nervous. She wasn't sure what she would say, as chatty as she could be. Instead, she cried for a bit and headed back home on the next available train.
Her life continued as normal, starting to fall back into groove and hang with her friends until they encountered a villain, a particularly scary one, she recalled. And yet, she fought on, thinking of the time she met a special boy, one who everyone treated like dirt but who still showed her kindness.
"You guys get out of here, NOW!" she cried as she served as a distraction. Was what she was doing illegal? Most definitely. Could she possibly get killed? For sure. Would her parents kill her if the villain didn't? Komodo would probably try to take her room while Tatsu dragged him out kicking. But she had to do something. She remembered seeing a news story previously where a slime villain took a familiar looking hostage and an even more familiar face came to his aid, only for Amm-Might to save them both.
Once again, this boy was standing up for others despite being powerless. If she ever saw him again, she would have to smack him upside the head for almost getting himself killed, then hug him to make up for lost time.
She managed to bob and weave for a limited amount of time, her clothes inhibiting her ability to split effectively, just a little. She was pushing the law with this. She didn't want to get sent home with an indecent exposure ticket or something, as funny a story as it would be.
The villain swatted her away. She really was out of her depth. Still, she just needed to hold out while her friends ran. They had successfully made it out of sight, so all she needed to do was follow suit.
As the monster struck at her again, a burst of magic blindsided him. He turned his head and scowled angrily. Setsuna turned and looked to see her friends hiding behind a pro hero, dressed like some sort of psychedelic wizard from one of her mom's CD's. He had a cool hat and even cooler blindfold. It was then that she remembered him from Izuku's trading cards.
"Are you ok, young lady? Your friends told me everything. You can't be so reckless in taking a villain on your own...but I suppose I owe you thanks. The name is Majestic. Now go with your friends. I got this.
The scruffy magician smiled and leapt into action as Setsuna finished up and followed his lead, looking back one final time.
The rest, as she recalled, was history. History could wait for another day. For now, it was back to reality.
X
Setsuna snapped back to the present, entering the arena with silet determination. It was almost uncharacteristic. Shaking off her thoughts, the girl did some dynamic stretches and exhaled. It was time to show her feelings towards bullies and jealous jerks through action.
"Alright, dude. Let's do this."
Setsuna went on the offensive. She could feel the memories bubbling up to the surface, along with all the emotions tied to them. She wanted to beat the boy who caused her pain those years ago and who tormented his former friends for even longer. She didn't have the whole picture. She only had hearsay and old memories, but the fire in her belly still burned strongly.
Setsuna Tokage wanted to win. For the friends she had now, for the friend she was denied, and for herself. Every piece of herself worked in unison to face her strongest opponent thus far. She watched his matches carefully. Katsuki Bakugou was a major contender to win the Sports Festival for the first years. And yet he was a human, just like her, one who had been up against some driven and formidable opponents. This wouldn't just be a test of skill, but one of endurance.
"I've got this."
"Quit acting like you know me, lizard bitch." Bakugou spat, clearly irritated, but slightly off. Had he grown since she had last seen him? Obviously, he had physically, but if she had understood that gossip correctly, he had told his former friend to kill himself, so highly unlikely. Had the slime villain and USJ knocked him off his pedestal? Were his last two fights a humbling experience? The girl found it unlikely but it was hard to say. Setsuna admitted that she had only seen some of the bigger picture. Perhaps she would never know until she could speak to Midoriya. Either way, she had a clear bias and a fight to win.
She rushed forward and lunged at the boy, throwing a feint towards him and getting blocked.
Her left leg slammed down on his neck, with her right leg delivering a vicious roundhouse. The two then came together like a pair of scissors and pinned the boy. However, he exploded out of it and went in for the kill.
However, his arm would not budge and he felt himself jerk as he tried to attack. As he looked over at his hand, noticing too late that Setsuna was restraining him. Her other hand shot out and grabbed the other arm. She didn't have much strength to hold him like that, so Setsuna body slammed her opponent before splitting up again.
The explosions stung but the girl fought through it. All the pain, from being bullied as a child, to losing a potential friend, to the shit her first boyfriend put her through. She felt the comments, the loss, the little marks from where she tested her quirk and her emotions with a particularly sharp knife.
The flashes of light and nitroglycerine brought her back to that summer day, the one where she and Midoriya went bug hunting.
"Lizards aren't that strong. Predators love to snack on them. But they have to catch them first. They sacrifice limbs and use speed to get out of scrapes. That's the kinda hero I wanna be."
A loud explosion rang out, clouding the center of the ring in dust. Nobody could see through it and many were horrified.
"T...To...TOKAGE!" A voice cried out as its owner clutched the bars of the railing, feeling old memories crawl back. Izuku Midoriya knew the girl wasn't dead, but he also knew how brutal Bakugou could be, and that he was never one to hold back.
And sure enough, he didn't as he was launched out of the ring and tried to course correct before being spiked into the ground by a pair of fists. The fists reattached themselves as Setsuna, ragged and winded, stood triumphant.
"Guess it was up to me to teach you a lesson…" The girl opened and closed her hands while making explosion noises with her mouth.
Bakugou was stunned at first before feeling the rage seethe within his body. He couldn't believe he had lost, but he had to admit, this girl was strong. It pissed him off to no end, but he would just kick her ass next time they fought. And why did those words feel so familiar and pointed? A picture was forming but anger made it blurry.
"You! Lizard! You're lucky I was tired. You're toast next time."
"Is that a promise, Mr. Excuses?" The girl rolled her eyes, walking away towards her friends. The blonde boy sneered and tutted, returning to the back area to clean up and return to his seat.
Setsuna locked eyes on her friends in the stands and gave a smile, shifting her gaze to Midoriya, still looking on edge, but relieved at her victory. Did he remember her? Good. Everything grew and changed, as her dad would say. It was evolution. Friendships, organisms, society, would all go through shifts and changes but things would work out best for survival with a little help.
It was then that the green-haired girl saw her friends, Itsuka and Momo, booking it out of the arena, too late to see her battle. She couldn't hold a grudge, but she could have some fun.
Calling out to her friends and playing around with her quirk a bit, the recommended student shouted out.
"Well, well. So busy reminiscing that you forgot little old me, huh? It's ok, ladies. I'll tell you all about my victory when I make it up those stairs."
