Star Wars: A new Fate

A Star Wars x Fate Stay Night fanfiction

Author's note: all Star Wars movies start like this "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" meaning that this is all WAY in the past, in a different galaxy, therefore my story will showcase this. I hope my modicum of knowledge of Star Wars will be enough to satiate the fans, also it may not be entirely canon as I will use legends as well, just FYI. Also I don't own neither Star Wars (disney) nor Fate/Stay Night.

Chapter 2: Escape from the World

Shirou was taken by Jocanda, who was worried for the young boy, he began to spasm after his last attack… he started to bleed by the nose and hurried to her vehicle, due to the wounds that had appeared, quickly she managed to abscond the both.

In the ship she managed to find a medi-droid and left the boy to heal.

She felt she needed to meditate about this… about what she witnessed.

The ability the boy had shown, and his fighting prowess, should she manage to teach the boy how to hone the skills of the jedi…

No… she was no master, she was but a simple librarian, blessed with the ability to use the force, even if she once had a say in the inner workings of the Jedi Council… she could not teach anyone, she was old, too old. But perhaps, yes, if she could find that man's padawan.

She was quite worried about the boy, he had injured himself to drive Dark Vader away

Still, she should, at least talk to the boy more, the medi-droid came many hours later.

"Mam… the young boy is safe, it was quite intriguing, it was like his body was suffering from electrical shock, while going through a dangerous high fever, yet he shows no sign of any disease of any kind, we managed to calm him down using alcohol bath to lower his temperature, he should regain consciousness by meal time" the medi-droid said.

Since the young boy had come she felt an oddness in him.

The force connects with all, yet his body felt like it was absorbing it and creating a smaller springwell inside him, and it kept getting larger, albeit at a small pace.

She now had a silver colored tray as food was served, she held the boy's for when he woke up, she needed to ask him questions.

Later

Shirou Emiya woke up. Looking around he saw the old lady from before… so that was not a dream, and that man in black, he looked around but felt a comforting feeling blanket him.

Jocasta walked up to the young boy.

"Oh… you are safe," the boy said with a smile.

Jocasta was taken back, the boy, rather than worry about himself, was worried FOR her, sure, she was quite old, but she was still a Jedi Knight, it seems the boy lacked knowledge on what they where, however, what was more important was, HOW he had gotten to the ancient Jedi Library, as it was, it was hidden and had many measures of defences, the boy appeared quite from nowhere, as if by magic.

"Thank you very much for saving me, young one" she said as she pulled her hood off.

"Sorry for being a bother… I did not expect to fight so soon…" Shirou said. His body was feeling better, his circuits still ached, they felt like that time Rin had forcibly activated them, when she showed him that he was being an idiot by cannibalizing his own nerves to create a pseudo-circuit.

Jocasta put her hands on his body, using the force she began to help speed his healing, then she noticed it, a metaphysical organelle, a pathway of sorts on his body where an unknown energy flowed, and now, even the force slowly began to enter and flow.

"You are quite a special boy, oh, I am sorry, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Jocasta Nu, chief librarian of the Jedi Archives, when we first meet I had found you after you appeared out of nowhere, you were quite wounded, I won't pry as to the reasons, as I myself now am on the lam as they say, however, that ability you had showed against An… the Sith Lord, it was not anything I had known, and as the chief librarian, I know quite a bit" she asked.

Shirou was confused, "I am sorry, but… where am I and… what's a Jedi or a Sith Lord? I am not familiar with those terms" Shirou said.

She raised an eyebrow "Where are you from?" She asked.

"I am from Fuyuki" Shirou replied.

"Is that by the Outer Rim? I am not sure I even heard of that planet." She said as she tried to recall a planet with that name."

Shirou's Iris dilated… planet… no… way…

"The planet we just left, it's name is Coruscant, we are leaving for a place to find someone who may be able to offer some help to you, as it seems you are sensitive to the force," Jocusta said.

"W-what year is it?" Shirou asked, fearing the answer.

"It's the year 3XXX" she said. (19 BBY)

Shirou felt like everything was far away…

"Stay in the medi-bay, we are about to pass an inspection point, hopefully no inquisitors will be among them." She said as she covered him so she could get some shut eye.

Jocasta was sitting down on a chair near his bed, the old lady took responsibility for him, as he had saved her.

"The force works in mysterious ways… it seems it was not my fate to die this day" she thought to herself.

The inspection went by without much trouble, however Shirou had discovered his circuits had all reset back to 0, all of them were brand new, and in his rush he forcibly opened them, causing them to flare and harm him. Thankfully he managed to mitigate the damage, he had to rest but first, he needed to check himself. He doubted the machines could tell about his circuits… with a quick structural grasp he found himself ok, his circuits just flared by the abrupt power coursing through them, however they felt a bit… off… as he coursed prana through them he felt there was a space left for more.

"It couldn't be… right?" He asked himself.

His circuits had widened slightly, not to mention a new energy had taken residence in the circuits, it felt ghostly, like it was everywhere.

Shirou decided to look at the stuff he salvaged before the attack of that… Sith Lord.

The gems were of alien origin, yet he understood that they were organic and inorganic, it was mined from some ice caves, it was quite fascinating to have both properties in a single object, and their applications…

With a thought, he wondered… could he replicate Saber's Noble Phantasm attack with that? At a reduced range? After all, the red beam sword the Sith Lord had was similar, albeit in a controlled area, also, unlike Saber's who had it's LEGEND to empower it…

It was an idea if anything, but Shirou had no knowledge on how to do so, and with his body returning to that of a child.

However the transparent crystals he had had somehow bonded with Shirou, and thus the color began to change.

Shirou was taken back but one of them turned black obsidian, as if all light had been removed from it, yet it reflected it just as perfectly, while the other was a pure white, as if all the light of the first was now on this one.

A perfect balance between two extremes, as one would say.

They now felt warm to the touch, like they had accepted him.

"Why do I have a feeling I just dug myself deeper into this situation?" Shirou thought to himself.

The flight had led them to a moon called "Raada"

The old lady, Jocasta, began to teach him, as she found out, that while he could speak common, he could not read or write it, she was, however, fascinated by the language of his homeworld.

"We will continue this later, now we must find an old friend of mine" she said with a kind smile.

They arrived on the moon as Shirou took in the sights, indeed it was an alien world sure there were humans, but also alien creatures he had never seen, and would likely confuse them for a phantasmal species.

"Shouldn't you call the person we are searching for?" Shirou asked.

"That would be most unwise, as she is a jedi as myself, we are being hunted down, one by one by those who follow the will of the Sith Lord, it is best we find each other using the force" she said.

She began explaining what exactly the force was and I began to break it down to further digest it.

It was an energy of sorts, and people who are sensible to it can manipulate it and do great feats, which both jedi and sith are known for. Of course the more sensible you are, the stronger your abilities are. She also taught me a bit of the history of the Jedi and the Sith, albeit an abridged version.

It was… interesting, and it would help him get back home safe and sound.

He looked up to the stars above wondering, just HOW FAR was he from home?

"I sense you are conflicted, young one, it is understandable, you found yourself in an unfamiliar place, got attacked, and now we are in yet another alien world to you, but do not worry, the person we are looking for will be most beneficial for you" she said.

I nodded "thank you, miss Jocasta" Shirou said sincerely.

She smiled and patted Shirou's head.

They wandered around and rented something called a speeder. It was like a motorcycle, except it had no wheels, it levitated, probably by some advsnced techonology.

After wandering around, finding a place to rest and eat, many days later we reached a girl of an alien race who was working as a mechanic.

It was accidental really, I felt a tug in my senses and I saw her… she had orange skin with white markings and blue stripes.

She felt warm and kind, yet she also held a heavy burden.

There was a feeling of a "void" something important was missing… and there was the feeling of sadness.

She turned around with a shocked face and looked around with fear, until she locked eyes with me.

"Ah, young Shirou, it seems you found her before me," Jocasta said.

The girl's eyes brightened, they knew each other then.

An hour later

The alien girl, Jocasta and Shirou sat down at a cantina, Shirou waited for Jocasta to order, so he had an idea of what to expect.

The food and drinks came, but the town looked rather… bleak.

It felt like the planet was dying.

"You feel it too uh? It seems you must be quite something, you have to be really in tune with the force to feel that" the alien girl said.

"Indeed, this young man had saved me from the Sith Lord, he managed to severely wound him and incapacitate him, however I feel it will just be temporary at best, that Sith will use this to fuel his anger and empower himself." Jocasta said.

The alien girl sighed. "Oh master…" she said with heavy sorrow.

"Ahsoka, I require your help, I understand and know why you left the Jedi order, and refuse to use the force, however, as a final favor for a woman that is reaching the twilight… please take him and teach him the ways" Jocasta pleaded with sincerity.

Ahsoka was torn, but she knew one thing, this kid managed to fend off that being, the galaxy needed hope, she knew that she would be hunted down as well, even if she had left the order, so… what is one more Jedi being added to her?

"I will, however he will need a cover to stay with me" Ahsoka said.

"Why not say that I am the son of a friend of yours?" Shirou asked.

"That would work… tell me… are you any good with machines?" Ahsoka asked.

Shirou smiled.

Later that day

There were over 3 engines, stripped, cleaned, calibrated (by hand) and reassembled in record time, Shirou whipped the sweat off his brow, he had cheated using structural grasping in order to understand how the pieces and parts worked together and give it proper maintenance.

he was worried that due to the engines being alien he would not be able to understand them, but... it was eeriely easy.

He was worried about that, not to mention it felt like the rate of consumption of prana had lowered significantly. He decided to worry about it later.

"Well what do you know, you're pretty damn good at it kid" Ahsoka said with awe.

"I dabbled with engines before, just… never THESE kinds" Shirou said.

Ahsoka was made aware about Shirou's appearing in the Jedi hidden library, and he explained that his world did not have any such technology, even their oldest tech they had was light years away from what they had.

"Fossil fuel engines uh?" Ahsoka said with a shudder, that wouldn't be able to power anything here, and the sheer energy waste.

Jocasta had left a few things to Ahsoka, a half dozen holocrons for Shirou to use as training, each containing lessons that would help him, some credits that should last him for a month, as well as her heartfelt thanks.

"Should the force wills it, we shall meet again" she said as she left, her plan was to roam the outer rim worlds and away from the Sith Lord.

It was after Shirou was told that they would share a room with, she did not see anything wrong, she was in her early twenties, however Shirou, even if he looked like a 11 year old kid, was in his late teens.

Shirou noticed something, the conversation about the Sith Lord… if he had survived that meant his attack had been weaker than usual, probably due to the lack of arm strength caused by returning to being a child again, otherwise he would have been dead.

So he began his new life, worked on futuristic vehicles and gave them maintenance, they ate, then they had the afternoon for him to learn about the force and how to use it. Ahsoka was rather good at teaching him, she said it was due to her master being an oddball, as he taught her in unconventional ways, as most masters would make it difficult and introspective, he would break down things to be much easier to digest and learn.

Shirou noticed the dip in her mood when her master, so he decided to only bring it when absolutely necessary.

They had some sword sparring, she said it would be a bad idea to use lightsabers, even if Shirou was very competent with actual blades weapons, also he should make his own once his training was complete, which, with the lifestyle they had, would take time.

However, his learning about the force was much easier, as it had a fundamental basis similar to that of magecraft, albeit with no backlash.

He was told, however, about the dark side of the force, and what it does, that it was evil and brought about ruin to its user.

Shirou disagreed, no energy was inherently evil, and it was up to the user, he kept those thoughts hidden, the force, as anything else was a tool, one that had to be respected and utilized as needed.

The light side had a strange feel, it was soothing, calming, it reminded him of the times when he was with Kiritsugu.

The dark side was sultry, it promised power, yet there was an abyss waiting below.

In a way… it felt not unlike Rin. Helpful, but dangerous in it's own way, just like the use of magecraft.

He had to learn control, and he had to temper himself, the dark side pulled at him, but his mentality and experience in the Grail War had given him a strong mind and even greater will, brought about by Archer's memories.

A body of steel… and a heart of glass.

He had to bring balance, the two energies were from the same source after all.

And so he closed his eyes and looked into himself, but rather to activate his circuits he went further down, he felt the force.

The two energies in the air, in the ground, it was everywhere. And so, slowly he begun to gather the energies around him, herding it. Slowly, carefully he was not forceful, he allowed the 2 forces to gather at their own pace, reapecting their own distinctive mannerisms.

Ahsoka woke up feeling a strange reaction in the force.

She saw Shirou in a lotus position, meditating, while the holocrons hovered all around him.

The force… it was singing, both dark and light, mixing together screams and soothing lullabies creating a melody of sorrow and hope.

"I...may have bitten off more than what I can chew," she said as she felt both energies in Shirou's body.

"I wish Obi-wan was here" she said as she saw Shirou slowly descend to the ground, completely unaware of what he'd done.
