Star Wars: A new Fate
A Star Wars x Fate Stay Night fanfiction
Author's note: all Star Wars movies start like this "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" meaning that this is all WAY in the past, in a different galaxy, therefore my story will showcase this. I hope my modicum of knowledge of Star Wars will be enough to satiate the fans, also it may not be entirely canon as I will use legends as well, just FYI. Also I don't own neither Star Wars (disney) nor Fate/Stay Night.
FYI I made some changes to the first 2 chapters, I may have left some spelling errors but do forgive them, I am writing on my smartphone after all.
Chapter 3: Training in secret
Shirou woke up in the early hours of the morning , Ahsoka was taken back as she was used to waking early, but not as early as he did.
He had sat down and was meditating, or at least she thought he was, she felt his body temperature rise as he began to twitch slightly, as if electricity was coursing through him.
She was rightfully worried. She walked around as she noticed his body had a sheen of sweat.
There was a pattern that began to form on his body that lighted up, it looked like a circuit line on his body.
"Trace… off" Shirou intoned.
The lights in his body died off, he painted a bit, however he had a smile.
"Good it seems like my circuits have gotten used to the prana, so… this what my limit would be without the atrophy in then uh? And since I am still young I can still grow some more" he said to himself out loud.
Ahsoka cleared her throat.
Shirou looked taken back, he was so surprised by this that he did not even notice her being in the room.
She had a raised eyebrow. "Care to explain?"
Shirou knew he had no option but to tell the truth, for a given measure of it.
Shirou explained about a skill he had called thaumaturgy, where he used an energy, not dissimilar to the force, to enact an effect.
The glowing circuit lines where the pathways in his soul were the energy traveled and the heat was the waste energy, not unlike old lightbulbs.
The heat would lower the better control he had over the energy, and if his pathways get a workout, they would be able to handle more power.
"So… what can you do with that ability?" Ahsoka asked.
"I can trace any item, determine it's weakness and flaws," Shirou said.
"AH! That's how you did those engines even when you had no knowledge of them" she said catching on.
"I can also strengthen myself or other objects to their maximum capacity, their utmost limit one would say," Shirou said "if I am not careful I could end up damaging what I strengthen."
"Why is that?" Ahsoka asked.
"It's like filling a bottle… if you put too much at once…" Shirou said as he grabbed a small rock.
A circuit interface appeared on his arm and then on the rock..It promptly blew up.
"That… is dangerous, but you seem to be able to do it reliably, right?" She asked.
Shirou looked away.
"R-right?" She asked once more.
Later that day
Ahsoka was taken back by how fast the boy, Shirou, was learning about the force at a fast pace, faster than what she expected.
It had been 3 years since he had been dropped on her, to be honest he was the closest thing she had to a brother.
It was time for her to teach him the last step… she wanted to prolong it for a bit more, but she felt he was ready. Kid was like a sponge in that way, not only that but his work ethic was exemplary, she had never seen anyone, be it padawan or even full fledged Jedi Knight, had this much work ethic.
"Hey Shirou, so, I think it is time you made your first lightsaber," she said, dropping this out of the blue.
"How do we go about that?" Shirou asked.
"Well, normally we would give you pieces of lightsaber technology and manufacture the parts to your liking so you could build one, but even before that you would need to find a Kyber crystal" she said recalling what she was taught herself, "Normally you would need to mine them and form a bond with it" she said.
"Uh… is this it?" Shirou said showing the 2 crystals he found and that had changed colors.
"How did you… no, never mind, do think you can use that thaumaturgy thing you said to analyze my lightsaber and learn about the components and how they work?" She asked.
I took a look at her weapons, and saw the components.
I was not trying to get an in depth analysis of them, just to get an idea of how it all goes together, else I would probably get an aneurism.
The components were mostly electronic in nature, but the specs were so high, and the way he had to assemble it.
Though Shirou had to admit, he was tempted to make his lightsaber in a rather… unorthodox manner.
The pure black and pure white kyber crystal in his hands reminded him of his most trusted blades.
He began to think, should he ever be unable to use magecraft, the light sabers could surely help him, even more so if he included a security build in, so he could only turn it on when he passes a bit of prana, and once it is interrupted it is unable to be turned back on.
He tinkered with different components from other lightsabers in order to modify them to his specifications.
Using the holocron left by old lady Jocasta Shirou began tinkering with different components, replaced some and used other parts to supplement for what was lacking, also the blade modification, to be used to if not block at least destroy physical projectiles like bullets, called slugs throwers.
The handle of his weapons needed a specific type of ore to be made of. Shirou had encountered by sheer chance.
A Bounty Hunter from Mandalore, he arrived to have his ship tuned up, Shirou managed to see his weapons and armor.
Mandalore Iron.
Using it on the hilt of his lightsaber, he could use disarming moves and even block a lightsaber attack, should he be unable to use the blade, not to mention enhance his own armor with it, he also heard of animal hide that were resistant to blasters and the like, so finding said things would prove beneficial, he had been gathering information from people in a bid to get clues on what to do next, and slowly he began making his pet project.
It took nearly 3 months as he had, at times, shorted out his brain due to analyzing alien technology and tried to comprehend it with his own values, as time passed his common sense slowly began to accept what is common here and adapted.
Ahsoka took him many times to the med-bay, but he finally had it. Ahsoka and Shirou tracked to a designated area that had a small cave, and inside she asked him to show her his work.
With a small stream of prana his lightsabers turned on.
The two blades spring to life, as Shirou took a look at them, Ahsoka was taken back, as she has never seen a lightsaber like this.
They looked like Kanshou and Bakuya without the accents, the blade where like them, rather than the original straight lightsaber most use,
Shirou twirled them in his hands and found the lack of mass a bit of a factor, but promptly corrected it
They felt right in his hands and even Ahsoka could tell that the crystals were responding to him quite well.
Shirou had made a connection with the crystals not just via the force, but also using his mana, bonding it not unlike a noble phantasm.
Not only that but it seems the crystals also held a rather desired characteristic, it was able to be reinforced at astronomically higher levels than any other material.
With reinforcement, his blade could even pierce Mandalore iron.
Ahsoka noticed that Shirou was going for a two lightsaber fighting style.
"You sure you wanna do that? Even for Jedi Knights that have much experience, dual wielding is very hard, especially when fighting another force user, I have trouble with it" she said.
"Well… I have seen the saber forms that the Jedi and the Sith use… but to be honest, just parts of each are a good fit for me, but I have my own fighting style to use" Shirou said.
"Oh? Now THAT I got to see, let's have a little spar, how is that? No force abilities" she said.
Shirou ignited his blades, and Ahsoka attacked.
Her attacks were fast… it was called the Jar'Kai.
Shirou used his own style he had learned from Archer.
Each of her strikes, if they had landed, would have been deadly, but Ahsoka found no other place, and she knew he was not using the force… So how… how was he able to predict her so perfectly?!
It was 30 minutes when she called a time out.
"Well, you are quite good at this, I have no idea how you did it, but… you are really good at lightsaber dueling" she said as she sat down to rest.
"I learned from others…" Shirou said.
StormTrooper's mess hall on a Star Destroyer
There was quite a rumor mill going on, ever since the failed attempt to apprehend jedi Jocasta, StormTroopers from that mission had been missing, only to be found dead, however, since there were many talks on what happened got around. It seems as the Emperor's right hand man got bested by a mere child, and not a jedi, the sheer sorry state that Lord Vader's body was reduced to… even the makers of Vader's life support armor were baffled, it should withstand blows from any bladed weapons save those from Mandalore iron and other "exotic" (read ultra rare) materials, and the fact that it was done from a projectile shot from an even ultra preemptive weapon such as a BOW of all things.
The scientists were baffled and could not believe this until they found a StormTrooper that had soldiered on to watch Vader at work.
His Helmet had a camera, which was not regulation but you can hardly discipline someone who is as dead as he was, he got caught on the path of that projectile.
It was not pretty.
It seems the projectile was not only fast but it rotated at mach speeds, so much so that even space twisted around, creating a blender effect, rending anything to pieces, even the force, while not shredded, was shoved aside by the sheer power of the attack.
Of course, the Stormtroopers kept this on the down low, lest they summon the ire of Lord Vader… or worse…
The emperor himself.
It had been 3 years and change since that day, the StormTrooper's from that date had mostly been killed, those who survived did so by changing their identification chain and forge a new identity, some made it… most did not.
Those who did managed to defect to the Rebellion, a group fighting to overthrow the Empire.
The people on the Rebellion could not believe these claims, but, with corroboration from spies within, they finally accepted it.
"He must be the chosen one that I heard about…" an old Clone trooper said."I don't put much stock in those old wives tales, but if that kid did that to Vader himself…"
That boy would become an extraordinary asset.
However, just like they had plans to recruit the boy, so did the Empire, and, if not possible, they would kill the boy so that he wouldn't fall into the Rebel's hands.
From a throne inside the star destroyer an evil looking old man smiled.
He had known of this and wanted to teach Vader a lesson, he wanted to have someone else steal his prey.
"Send word to the bounty hunter Cad Bane… tell him there is a new bounty for him" the Emperor said with evil glee.
