Chapter 4

Invasion of Umbara

Jairo was in the main hangar bay with Hunter and fox along with multiple clones from the Coruscant Guard and the 387th around them to go over the plan for the battle of Umbara, once everyone was there they began the briefing of the mission.

"Alright we're going to go over the mission one more time so pay attention, once we enter the atmosphere of the planet we'll be leaving by gunship so I want everyone to be at their assigned gunships five minutes prior to leaving the Acclamator. Once we leave the Acclamator we will be supporting Skywalker's assault on the north side of the capital and defeat any reinforcements for the Umbarans while the 212th with Master's Krell and Tiin's troops."

Jairo then nodded to either fox or hunter to take up the briefing as he stepped back and Fox stepped forward and began the briefing where it left off, "Expect heavy resistance from the Umbarans, this is their home and they'll be fighting twice as hard so be prepared for anything they throw at us and don't forget to activate your night vision as well. Also we'll be following general Skywalker's plan on using the AT-RTs to take care of the enemy AA for us."

Finally Hunter stepped up and began the final part of the brief, "we won't be deploying with AT-TEs unfortunately but we will have AT-RTs with us and we'll be able to call in for air support to assist us as well if the situation calls for it, I want you all to make sure you have everything and converse with your squads we'll be leaving soon."

All of the troops nodded and headed off as Jairo, Hunter and Fox stayed there looking over the map of the planet "I know you both hate Krell but remember we have to work together but we shouldn't be anywhere near him so don't worry" Jairo said as fox and hunter grumbled, as they began to talk to each other the alarm sounded signaling that the gunships were about to leave.

When they heard this the troopers ran towards their respective gunships and entered them as did the AT-RTs when the back of the gunships was lowered for them to enter, once they were loaded in the gunships the drivers powered them down and got off them so they wouldn't waste power before they landed.

Jairo, Hunter and Fox would enter their own gunship as a couple other troopers enter as well and once everyone was in a gunship the hangar bay doors opened the escort fighters and gunships exited the Acclamator, once they all exited the Acclamator they started heading towards the LZ but they started taking heavy AA from the enemy.

"Open the blast doors" Jairo said to the pilot and the pilot opened the gunship doors just in time for them to see a gunship get hit by AA and start falling towards the ground, as they see this a couple more gunships are hit enemy fighters are seen heading towards them and the escort fighters head to deal with them.

As the gunships get closer to the ground they open their rear ramp and let the AT-RTs out to destroy the enemy AA so the rest of their forces could land and join the fight, once all of the AT-RTs were on the landed on the ground and gathered up they charged the enemy AA positions.

While the AT-RTs were dealing with the AA on the ground, the fighter escorts are battling against umbaran fighters and vulture droids while protecting the gunships as a couple of them would get shot down by either AA fire or enemy fighters.

"Sir we've taken care of the enemy AA, you are clear to land" a clone voice said as jairo looked at his comm and brought it up to speak "good keep on with the advance, the gunships will be landing momentarily" he said as he switched to speak to the pilot "pilot how long till we reach the LZ?"

"We're arriving now sir" the pilot said as the gunship began to land and once it landed jairo and the men inside exited the gunship, when they did jairo activated his lightsabers as the men raised their blasters and fired at the umbarans when they began to receive fire from them.

As the gunship left more gunships began to land and let out more clones that contained a mix of the Coruscant Guard and the 387th who then began to fire at the umbaran forces and ran forward as a couple were killed from airstrikes, enemy fire or enemy artillery.

Jairo would block blaster fire coming towards him while running forward with fox and hunter on either side of him as gunships would land dropping off clones or taking off to return to the fleet, a gunship was hit by an enemy fighter and it crashed killing the pilots and clones they were dropping off.

The umbarans would start to retreat as jairo and his men got closer to their position killing them with the AT-RTs destroying the artillery pieces with jairo and the rest of them arriving at the top of the hill killing any umbaran that was still alive, jairo nodded to himself as fox and hunter walked up and stood next to him as the gunships were dropping off the last of the clones.

"good work, tell the men that once we're done here that we will link up with Skywalker once we are done here" jairo said as fox and hunter nodded as they both left to tell the men, once everyone was ready and made sure that no umbaran was still alive they left to link up with Skywalker.

End Flashback

Jairo opened his eyes as he was standing at the walls of Winterfell looking out and seeing patrols walking around and even though they knew that he and his men meant no harm they still kept their distance, he sighed as he turned and looked at the courtyard seeing both males and females training with help from Jon, Brienne and a couple others.

He saw Hunter and Fox talking to each other as well as his men walking around on the walls and next to speeder bikes with some looking at the training that was happening in the courtyard, he started walking to Hunter and Fox when he saw one of the Stark men-at-arms go to Jon and hand him a letter.

Jairo saw a frown on Jon's face as he read the letter and had a feeling that it wasn't a good letter, he saw Jon leave and enter the great hall then turned around and had a feeling that it was not going to be a good letter. As he stood there in thought a stark guardsman came up to him and told him that his presence was requested in the main hall, jairo told him that he would be there and started heading over the main hall now.

Once he entered the main hall he saw all the lords and ladies of the north talking to each other, he silently moved to a secluded area in the hall and stood there waiting for the meeting to begin no doubt being about the letter. Everyone began to quiet down when Jon and Sansa entered the main hall and went to their seat's, once everyone sat down Jon began to talk and explained that he has both good news and bad news.

The good news was that his friend Sam sent him a letter saying that Dragonstone is sitting on a deposit of dragon glass that they can use to fight the army of the dead, the bad news was that he received a letter from Daenerys Targaryen requesting him to present himself to her at Dragonstone and bend the knee to her.

Once the lords and ladies of the north heard this they denied it instantly not want him nor anyone of the stark line to head to her since no stark had nothing good happen to them whenever they went down south and Jon was trying to calm them down, while Jon was able to get them to calm down and start to explain why he had to go jairo was looking around the room until he saw Baelish leaning against the wall and he did not have a good feeling of him when he first met him.

He then focused back onto the discussion on what to do and then Jon looked at him "would it be quicker and safer if you transported me and my guards to Dragonstone?" he asked as everyone then looked at jairo wondering what his answer would be, "quicker and safer on one of my ships yes but safer on the ground I don't know since they might try to attack us but I would do my utmost to keep you and your delegation protected" jairo said looking at Jon and Sansa.

As the talks began to finish they were all in agreement that ser Davos, Jon and 40 delegation guards would head to Dragonstone on one of the venators Jairo and Commander Fox while Commander Hunter would stay at Winterfell and help Lady Sansa in protecting it.

As they started leaving the main hall jairo sent a message to the venator that would be taking him, Fox and the northern delegation to Dragonstone but had a feeling that something would happen while he was away so he told Hunter to have security tight, he especially doesn't trust Baelish to not try something so he told his men to not say anything important while he was around them.

Hello everyone I'm back and yes I know I've been gone a long time without updating and I apologize for that and I'm going to start getting back on track and update regularly, also I would like your opinion on fox and the coruscant guard being here as well as the idea of my battalion working with the coruscant guard closley.
